Chapter Text
“HUSK!” Vaggie yelled. Her scream heard from every corner of the building.
Husk groaned from his bed. Where he had passed out last night, still fully clothed and reeking of alcohol. He realized the pounding in his head had the same beat as the stomping footsteps that were approaching his room.
The footsteps were also the only heads up the hungover man got before his room was invaded. His bedroom door burst open and a very upset Vaggie stormed in. Behind her, and quieting down from her failed attempts to calm her girlfriend down, was Charlie.
“What the fuck husk!” Vaggie started to yell when she finally laid eyes on Husk. “We just had to give a man at our door money because you lost your bet with him. You told us this wouldn’t happen again!”
“You didn’t have to-“ husk started to defend himself.
“What do you mean we didn’t have to?”
“I would’ve taken care of it,” Husk grumbled, sitting up.
“You were going to pay them?” Vaggie let out a dry sarcastic laugh. “With what money, Husk?”
Charlie cut in before Vaggie continued to tear husk a new one, “Look Husk, we just can’t let this continue to happen. And we won’t. We can’t keep giving money to everyone that comes knocking on the door claiming you lost a bet.”
Husk took a long and deep breath, “I’m sorry, I know. It won’t happen again. I promise.”
“Thank you, Husk,” Charlie said softly, smiling at the man. The two girls looked at each other, having some sort of silent conversation before turning back to Husk.
“It's not us you have to apologize to though,” Vaggie grumbled. She was calmer than before but still upset. “Alastor fronted the cash.”
There was a long pause. Husk took a moment and kept his eyes down. He was slowly processing what was just said to him.
“Where is he?” Husk finally asks, pinching the bridge of his nose.
“In his office,” Charlie answered before her girlfriend could.
“Thank you,” Husk said. He stood up from his bed, the pounding in his head worsening as he did so.
“There’s coffee downstairs when you’re done,” Charlie offered. She realized this was their queue to leave. Charlie nodded to Vaggie and they headed out the door.
Husk took a deep breath before walking in the direction of Alastor’s office. When he arrived the ‘on air’ sign hanging above the door was off, meaning Husk could bother the man. He knocked on the door. After a moment he heard Alastor call for him to come in.
“Alastor, I need a favor,” Husk announced right off the bat.
“A favor?” Alastor greated. He looked at Husk like he already knew what husk was going to ask. Alastor was sitting at his desk with his head resting in his hands, elbows up on the desk. His smile grew even larger with the passing seconds. “Are you coming to me so I can bail you out of a bet? …I could’ve sworn I just did that this morning.”
“I’m not here for that,” Husk lied.
“Are you sure? What other favor could you need from me?” Alastor asked in a mocking tone.
He sighed. He needed money. He knew this and he was sure Alastor knew it too.
“I…” Husk hesitated. He couldn’t think of a lie as to what else he could’ve possibly needed from his boss.
“My dear old friend. How much money do you owe them? And how much can you pay them back without me?” Alastor said, already overly confident about what Husk needed.
Husk stares the other man down for a few seconds before caving, “Fine, I need a couple thousand…”
“That’s not a small amount of cash,” Alastor said, his constant smile taunting the man before him. “Even after having me pay off some guys this morning, you still owe that much?”
“Luck hasn’t been on my side, lately,” Husk grumbled. He dropped into the chair on the opposite side of the desk to Alastor.
“That much is obvious,” Alastor stated. “Now, I can spot you more cash. But I’ll be needing something from you in return.”
“You always do.” Husk held his head in his hands.
“Day after next. You’ll be needed as a bartender for a very private affair. In return I’ll pay off your latest losses,” Alastair tilted his head and held out his hand. “Deal?”
“I don’t really have another option do I?” Husk said, starting to rub his still pounding head.
“Unless you can think of someone else who can give you thousands of dollars,” Alastor’s smile grew, he knew he had Husk backed into a corner.
Husk sighed deeply, “Fine. I’ll do it.”
“Good boy, Husker.” Alastor praised.
Husk already hated having to fulfill his promise to Alastor. He was forced into a stuffy suit and cheap bow tie, behind the bar in a private room, in the back of a stupidly expensive club. He was currently just waiting for the rich assholes to arrive.
Husk didn't have to wait too long before he could hear a commotion over the band playing in the main hall. The noise was coming from just outside the room. Which made him think the guests for the night had finally arrived.
He was correct. Two scantily clad women entered the room, laughing at something that was just said to them. They were followed in by, none other than, Valentino. He was smiling wide and looking proud, the girls must have been laughing at his joke. Valentino paused right inside the room and turned to look back at the door.
“Angel!” Valentino screamed out, his smile fading. “Get your bony ass in here!”
“I’m comin’” It was Angel’s voice but much more slurred than Husk had ever heard it.
“Of course he’s here,” Husk mumbled under his breath. It would've been shocked that Angel’s here tonight. That is, if Alastor didn’t pull this shit before.
Angel came stumbling into the room a moment later. He still looked perfect despite how much he was struggling to stay upright. He wore a short pink dress that landed half way down Angel’s thighs. There was intricate lace around the hem and sleeves, adding a softer touch to the dress. His bangs were framing his face nicely and a long ponytail swayed behind him with each shaky step. The pink stiletto heels were very high and looked uncomfortable for Angel to walk in. Husk didn’t know how the man was still vertical, stumbling around as much as he was in shoes like that.
“There’s my good boy,” Valentino praised when his eyes landed on Angel.
Husk had to hold back the urge to retch. He just needed to get through the night in order to hold up his end of his deal with Alastor. So he held his disgust inside and continued to remain professional.
Overtime, a few rich men and a couple more of Val’s ladies found their way into the room. Husk took to busing himself with serving everyone drinks. While at the same time trying his best to avoid eye contact with Angel and Val as he went about his night. Which turned out was easier said than done.
“Angel,” Val called out for him in a sing-song voice. “I think you should put on a little show for our guests.”
Val held out a hand and jesteres to the bar top. A few of the other patrons cheered at Val’s request. Angel sat up from where he was bending over a table. He wipes his nose while nodding his head.
“Yes Vallll,” Angel slurred. He stumbled across the room while still talking. “It’s been a while since you’ve had me up on a bar top.”
“I’m sure you’ll be just fine. You’re a star on any stage!” Val encouraged Angel.
Angel climbed up on a bar stool, his hands flat on the bar top and knees on the stool. He arched his back and stuck his ass out further. Everyone waited as the next song from the band in the main room traveled through the thin walls. Angel looked up and winked at Husk, with a bounce and a jump he landed with his feet on the stool. He stood up, flipping his pony tail and turning to look over his shoulder. He blew a kiss to Val before he stepped from the stool onto the bar top.
“You looked gorgeous up there, Angel Cakes.” Val cheered. He wrapped a muscular arm around one of his girls that was on the couch with him.
Angel danced to the song across the bar. Spinning and swaying with such grace, you’d have forgotten he stumbled his way to the bar just a moment before. Just as the song ended Angel went to hit his final pose. Instead of the soft click of his heels hitting the counter. His foot faltered on a half melted ice cube. He lost his balance and started to fall backwards off the bar.
Instinctively, Husk stuck his arms out to keep the far too intoxicated man from hitting the floor. Husk caught Angel bridal style, a small grunt leaving the older man at the same time. Angel instinctively wrapped his arms around the other man’s neck and started to kick his feet.
“Sorry, handsome,” Angel says with a wink. He settled into Husks arms further. “Now be a doll and carry me back to my boss.”
“It would be my pleasure,” Husk grumbled, trying, yet again tonight, to not roll his eyes.
“You’re stronger than I thought you would be,” Angel slurred out as Husk started to carry Angel out from behind the bar.
“Don’t flatter me too much, Kid,” Husk brushed off the comment. “It’s really ‘cuz you weigh nothin.”
Husk talked as they started to head across the room. He tried his best to keep Angel at a distance, even if Angel had other plans. He could feel Valentino’s eyes watching him the whole time it took to cross the room.
Angel was rubbing his face against Husks when they approached Val. Angel whined in protest before he let himself be put down. Angel ignored the fact Valentino was watching them and leaned in close to Husk. Angel winked at the man and made a show of slipping a little piece of paper, he pulled from his cleavage, into Husk’s pocket. “You ever have extra cash and need to blow off some steam, call me.”
Valentino stood and grabbed Angel’s arm, yanking the man away from Husk. The larger man shot daggers at Husk. A signal to the shorter man to make his way back to the bar. Husk didn't waste a second before turning on his heels and headed back to his station.
Val grimaced as he turned his attention back to Angel. “Unless he’s willing to pay, I have a different task for you.”
Angel straightened up, waiting for Val’s request.
“Come give Papí a lap dance,” Val commanded, falling back onto the couch.
Angel nodded yes and turned to start grinding his ass down on Val. Val smirked, a different idea forming in his head. He grabbed Angel's hair and pulled him down onto his lap. Angel lost his footing and fell down onto Val. Angel's back was now flush with Valentinos chest, when Valentino decided to reach up and grabbed Angel's face.
“You’ve made yourself too much of a mess, slurring your words, stumbling through the club, falling during a simple performance. …And into a dirty bartender's arms, non the less.”
Valentino paused to stare daggers at Husk once again. “Don’t you remember our meeting, Vox has made it crystal clear to both of us to not embarrass him again.”
“S-sorry Val.” Angel replied quickly, cutting Valentino off a bit.
“Oh you will be. But later, when we don’t have as many eyes on us and I can remind you what happens when you misbehave,” Valentino growled into Angel ear.
Angel eyes grew wide with fear but he nodded in agreement to not push him luck. “Yes Val.”
“Good boy. Now go on, I still want that lap dance,” Valentino commanded. Everyone at the party watched the way Valentino manhandled Angel, but no one dared to stop the powerful man.
“Yes Val,” Angel said, starting up what he was going to do a moment ago.
Angel avoided the bar for the rest of the night. Not even giving Husk so much as a glance. He remained focused on making sure Valentino was as satisfied as possible. Throughout the remainder of the night Husk watched Angel give Valentino 3 more lap dances, two make out sessions and the beginning of a very reluctant looking blow job.
Near the very end of the night husk noticed Val had Angel seated on his lap. It wouldn’t have taken a genius to know Val had slipped his cock into Angel. The blond man was squirming on his lap and his face was flushed. Husk tried to shake the image from his head as he yelled out last call.
Finally, at about 3am the night ended, Valentino and the rest of the party left the private room. On their way out, Angle obediently clung to Valentino in a way that made Husk feel nervous for him. Husk dragged his hand down his face. The guilt of watching this man head towards a horrible situation, yet again, weighed heavy on his soul.
Husk tried to shake it off and clean up a little. A bit later the manager of the club came to tell him he could go home. Husk thanked him and promptly headed out.
Husk hung out on the curb trying to flag down a taxi, which was taking a while with it being so late at night. He checked around. The street was mainly empty except for the occasional drunk stumbling past. He carefully pulled the paper from his pocket. He was surprised to find it wasn’t a business card or Valentino’s number.
Instead, what Husk assumed was Angel’s swirly writing, scrawled across the paper it red ‘3pm, Saturday, meet @ the fountain in the park behind Ozzie’s’.
Husk smiled at the note. Thankfully, he was free that day.
