Chapter 2: All For One

Notes:

Surprise!

Chapter Text

The department was sad to see Inko go, but the chief and the rest of the detective pool were ready to run through fire for her when she told them what she was going to do. Detective Midoriya was going to become a pro hero and bring down the bastard who took her husband. That son of a bitch was a cop killer. Hisashi worked for the HSPC, which was good enough for them. They promised to keep their ears to the ground and that any information they found would be coming her way.

Inko thanked them all and promised to keep them updated on Izuku. They were worried, as his wings had been grey since that night, and only recently had they started to lighten back up once more. With a heavy heart, she surrendered her shield and firearm. To her surprise, her Captain returned her firearm, along with the special permit that allowed her to keep it. "Put two in that bastard's head for us," he whispered when they hugged.

"I promise, sir," Inko replied, stifling her tears.

It was not an overnight transformation; it was hard work. All-Might, or Toshinori, as she learned, was going to drive her further than she thought. Any expected reprieve from Chiyo was not found either. It wasn't that Inko wasn't in good shape; she wasn't in what she had learned was hero shape. The constant expectation of how long and hard they would have to push was more than Inko had realized.

The part she hated the most, and that was due to the "teacher," was quirk training with Sir Nighteye. He was still an asshole in her book, but she had to admit that he knew what he was talking about. Now, those were the days they had combat training together. Those days were the best; win, lose, or draw, she got to punch him right in his smug face.  She trains all day and studies all night. Nezu, the principal of U.A., had created a special curriculum just for her so she could get her hero license.

A nice thing to come out of all of this was that Inko was introduced to David Shield and his beautiful little girl Melissa, who was about Izuku's age. David's wife, Selina, had passed away in childbirth; though the circumstances were different, the two widows had a sense of understanding where the other was coming from. David was a longtime friend of Toshi and his first sidekick. David had made all of All-Might's costumes and had come to make Inko's.

She was thankful that David, with all his experience, was there to help guide and temper some of Toshi's ideas for Inko's hero costume. In the end, Inko blushed at the black and dark green leather-looked suit; it gave the appearance of being very tight, but the special fabric would move with Inko's body. Inko was very thankful now for the extra workouts. Inko and David were able to strike up a fast friendship as they both doted on their children and loved them very much. Thankfully, Melissa and Izuku seemed to get along very well, with Melissa seemingly enamored with Izuku's wings. It was somewhat disheartening to learn that Melissa herself was quirkless, given the prevalence of quirks. The situation did not dampen the inner light that Melissa possessed.

Inko sold her and Hisashi's home and moved in permanently with Chiyo, who was happy to have her and have access to Izuku. The baby had recovered fine from the incident, though there was concern about his wings. However, as the light began to return, that concern started to ease. The ramifications of his quirk, on the other hand, had Nezu giggling like a schoolchild at times and glaring like a super villain the next, sometimes shifting between the two rather quickly. The perplexing question was what was the little boy's quirk? Obviously, from the description of the battle, the child had a healing quirk that delighted all involved. It was powerful as it had healed the boy and his mother from very severe wounds. And unlike Chiyo's, whose quirk accelerated the body's natural healing process, the examination of mother and child revealed that they had never been injured. Inko was in amazing shape.

The crux was whether the child's ability affected someone's quirk. Inko's quirk was now able to tear things apart, and she had shredded the Hunter into mist. Had this happened due to a desperate situation and her quirk awakened, was it because Inko had pushed it further and harder than she had ever before? When Inko was healed, did it restore Inko's stamina, and did the combination of adrenaline and Mama Bear energy cause a quirk awakening? There was no clear-cut answer as the child was 18 months old at the time of the incident. Now, at 2 years old, they couldn't get him to use his quirk, let alone understand that they wanted to try using different parts to see if they could puzzle out if he had other parts of his quirk or what the colored feathers represented.

The color of Izuku's wings had slowly returned, and they were a mix of white and green; both colors were getting brighter as well. The odd part was that they were in a different pattern than before; there were more white feathers than green this time, and they were in other spots. They noticed that they started to gain color faster, the happier the child was; his introduction to Melissa had made that noticeable. Then, as 2 ½-year-olds are prone to do, running around in the backyard, Melissa fell and scraped her knee. Nothing more drastic than that, but Izuku, whom she had been chasing to the point of exhaustion, turned and ran back to hug Melissa, telling her it would be okay. As he did so, they saw Izuku's wings spread out, and a faint glow appeared around him. Melissa's knee was healed, and a feather had turned grey. When it came back in, it was green. It confirmed one thing: Izuku Midoriya had a healing quirk. Chiyo may have been the proudest of the group.

It was not just Toshi and Nighteye training Inko; she was also introduced to an old man who would come to love dearly, by the name of Gran Torino. Chiyo and Torino would argue like an old married couple over the strangest things. When Tornio was introduced to Inko, there was this softness in his eyes ever so briefly before he declared her a waste of his time. That kicked off a knock-out drag-out fight as Inko was determined to make this old man eat those words. The dirtier and harder that Inko fought, the more that Torino seemed to enjoy the match. Though the others thought it was a bit over the line when Inko yanked out one of his teeth, Torino beamed with pride. "Good, very good," Torino said with a smile. "You could have ripped out my eyes or goodness knows what else. Remember this is war, girlie, and all that matters is that you come home to that little one at the end of the night."

After Torino, some more special trainers came in, including Crimson Riot, Lady Frost, Yoroi Musha, Mr. Quick, Super Fly, Digger, Animal, Merge, and others. Whether it was a few days, weeks, or even months, there was a constant parade of heroes that Chiyo would call in to help train Inko. Inko even got to run with some younger heroes; anyone that Chiyo or Nezu felt she could learn from was brought in to train her. When it was over, Inko passed her exam with flying colors.

Inko Midoriya made her debut as a pro hero and sidekick of All-Might under the hero name Ruin. The hunt for All For One that had never honestly stopped was kicked into high gear. It wasn't even the trio that was relentless; they weren't alone on the hunt, as Nagant and Hisashi's old team had never stopped. Torino was rocketing into battle right along with them. They were relentless in chasing down everything they could and dismantling every piece of his empire brick my mother fucking brick. Inko was a linchpin in bringing the HSPC, Heroes, and the police together as one unit to hunt down All For One.

The closer they got, the darker and deeper they had to descend the rabbit hole of vile and evil that this man was at the center of. Inko did her best not to bring it home; she would stop at the door to the house, remove her mask, and walk in with a smile for her son. She would be damned if she would bring that home to him. Of course, there were moments when Inko was shaken, when he asked about his father, and she had to tell him that his father had died. She kept it vague; he was too young to understand that all now. But try as she might, it would come home eventually. Long hours and nights make it hard to be a good mother. When your son wakes up scared and you're not there to comfort him, it starts to take a toll.

Inko wanted to find All For One and bring him down, but it wasn't so easy. 2 years after Hisashi had been murdered, she made her debut, and now, even years later, they were still chasing after All For One. It wasn't a linear line; it was a zig-zag, loop-de-loop of a path. As a pro hero, it wasn't as if they could focus solely on hunting down All For One; they had patrols and other heroic duties to attend to. It was the same for Nagant and the HSPC or Inko's allies in the police department. The silver lining was that they weren't alone in the hunt, with all three groups working together and sharing information, they were constantly making progress. Sometimes the progress was slow, but it was progress nonetheless.

Like any hunters who were hunting a dangerous animal, they didn't realize that they had become the prey till it was nearly too late.

Izuku and Melissa

As Izuku grew older and understood things better, Chiyo and Nezu were able to test his quirk, gaining a deeper understanding of it and teaching the young man how to control it. At five years old, Izuku discovered he could fly, a fact that excited him greatly, even if his family did not share his enthusiasm. Thankfully, Melissa did, and that was all that mattered to Izuku.

Izuku and Melissa were bound at the hip, growing up together for the most part, with Inko taking on a motherly/aunt role for the young girl. David was an uncle to Izuku. The bond between the children was so strong that, despite living in the technological paradise that was I-Island, David would relocate to Japan permanently when the children were seven. Melissa and Izuku attended school together at the private Mirai Zidan Academy, where they had private tutoring sessions with Nezu, who delighted in his role as tutor and substitute grandfather. Nezu had wanted to educate the children himself strictly, but Inko, David, and Chiyo insisted that it was important for the children to be properly socialized with children their age. Hence, the Mirai Zidain Academy, the only institution that Nezu would approve of if he weren't going to educate them himself.

The academy was also chosen to protect Melissa from bullying due to her lack of quirk, as the school had strict policies in place and proper oversight. Although the other children did treat her differently, it was her keen intellect that had her placed at the top or near the top of the class, silencing many of her detractors. Additionally, she had her constant companion, Izuku.

As Izuku got older, they were able to do more experiments with Izuku's quirk to gain a better understanding. It seemed that his quirk was multi-faceted; the white portion of his wings represented his ability to heal, while the green portion provided a power boost. The boost seemed to offer a temporary, awakening-type effect, though Nezu theorized that if he used enough of the green, it could make the effect permanent. This was what they believed happened with Inko, but they were hesitant to try it on anyone else. When the power, whether healing or boost, was expended, that is what caused the wings to turn grey, requiring them to recharge. The recharging process was more rapid depending on Izuku's mood; if he were happy, then they would recharge faster. Thankfully, despite everything, Izuku was a happy child. They could not discern the pattern, though, in which color would return; there was always a mix, but sometimes one color was more prevalent than the other.

Izuku's quirk was registered as a strictly healing quirk; they didn't want the fact that he could boost someone's quirk strength to get out for the boys' safety. It would have painted a target on the young man as he got older, regardless of who his family was, it would be a guarantee that some Villain or Villains would attempt to grab him. And with whom they were hunting, they wouldn't want to tempt All For One.

The Hunted Strikes Back

In every war, casualties are to be expected; losses are a natural consequence on both sides. It was foolish of the heroes to think that they would spare this truth. Although it had taken nearly eight years since they had started, they had begun making significant inroads into All For One's infrastructure, striking dangerously close to the heart of his operation, with them missing him by mere weeks. They thought they had taken all the possible security measures, but they should have known it wasn't enough.

All For One had spent multiple lifetimes building his organization and was not about to sit back and watch as it was dismantled brick by brick. He did for a bit, it was amusing, a game. Let his little minions scramble and fight against the heroes in attempts to prove themselves to him. To prove they were worthy of more power and greater quirks that he could bestow upon them. But when it began to move past the minions, past the false fronts, to real enterprises, that was when he took notice.

Not enough to take a personal hand but enough to task this to more than minor minions, to some higher up in his organization. When they failed, and in one case betrayed him, then it was time for him to crush this little rebellion and bring an end to his attempt to dethrone the Demon King. All for One had let All-Might have enough fun; it was time to get him to heel. But not to mention, he had to break All-Might first, isolate and crush his spirit. Show this obnoxious baboon that all of his training, all of his bravado, and smiles were worthless in the face of true power. That power was All For One, and he was going to take back One For All this time.

It was called Demon's Night, the night that All For One struck back. The Police, Hero Commission, and All-Might's Hero Team would all feel his wrath tonight. They would know what it was like to dare and try to stand against a God.

It started with the lowest of those pestering him, the police—these foolish little people with their pathetic quirks who had dared to try and rise above their station. When a cockroach dares to stand up to a boot, the boot will always win.

The doors to the station opened, and Kanda police station opened on that December night. It didn't attract much attention, after all, they had no idea that death had just walked in. The station was busy due to the shift change. The woman looked tired, a bit distracted as she approached the desk.

"Can I help you, miss?" the desk officer asked.

"Um, yes," the woman said. "There is an infestation."

"Infestation?" The officer replied, a bit confused.

"Yes, cockroaches," the woman said, the tiredness melting from her, her eyes beginning to come alive, almost as if they were glowing. "They are running all around, thinking that they have this strange right to eat his food. To walk his halls brazenly like they are not disgusting, pathetic creatures that are allowed to exist because it amuses him."

"Him? Miss, what are you talking about?" The officer said they should get to their feet.

"But when the infestation gets out of hand, you have to remind them that they are merely bugs, and that they should stick to the shadows and eat the crumbs of other lesser creatures. Just be thankful that he allows them to keep scurrying about, thinking they matter." The woman's eyes were now glowing; the officer could see it. Her entire body was glowing, and a strange red light began to build up under her skin.

"Miss! NO, don't!" the officer shouted, their last thoughts were of their family as the woman exploded.

A similar scene played out at the Hisamatsu and Manseibashi stations at 7:38 p.m. on December 10th, as chaos erupted in Tokyo. Hero alerts screamed over the airwaves, of the terrorist attacks, massive explosions that tore the buildings asunder, shook the street, blowing out windows, and plunging everything into chaos.

7:45 p.m. Private Residences and apartment Buildings belonging to members of the special task force of the Hero Commission exploded.

7:48 p.m. 4 of the 9 Train lines of Tokyo Metro were destroyed along with the collapse of the 2 Subway stations.

7:56 p.m. Failed bombing of Tokyo General

8:01 p.m. The power grids suddenly collapsed, with thousands of miles of power lines surging and exploding.

8:12 p.m. The terror comes home

When the alerts rang out of the massive terror attack, they didn't know that members of the Hero Commission had been targeted; the reports were flooding the airwaves. Everyone was scrambling in a desperate attempt to respond to the erupting chaos all around them. All-Might and his team were no different.

Inko was at home with Chiyo and the children. Melissa was waiting for David to get out of the lab before he came to pick her up, when the chaos erupted. Inko had just emerged from her bedroom in her hero costume when the gates to the home exploded. Chiyo looked to the security cameras as the alarms blared. When Nezu had insisted on upgrading the security at the house, she had protested, but if they lived through this, she would have to thank him. Inko froze at the sight. Creatures from that horrible night in the forest came rushing in, and they weren't alone. Floating behind them was All For One.

All For One was a specimen of a man; his physique was easily the equal of All-Might, even a bit taller, with white hair and devilish red eyes. He was dressed in a fine, tailored black-on-black suit, floating confidently over his army.

"Chiyo, get the children to the panic room," Inko said quietly.

"Inko," Chiyo protested, though she was already moving, grabbing the crying children.

"All-Might will be here soon, I just have to hold out till then," Inko said. Inko turned and looked at Izuku. "Izuku goes with grandma, Mommy has to go to work."

"Mom!" Izuku cried, reaching out.

"Everything will be fine, I promise," Inko said as she pulled on her mask. "Protect Melissa and your Grandmother for me. I will be right back."

Izuku sniffled, "Okay."

"Engage the security shutters," Inko said as she stepped out. Chiyo fought back her tears as she got the children into the panic room, and the security shutters activated.

Inko stood outside the door as the shutters slammed closed and locked. She looked at the small army of creatures standing before her, and just past them was the man who had killed her, Hisashi, who had taken him away from her that night.

"Poor little hero," All For One's voice echoed over the lawn. "Where is your precious All-Might now, Inko Midoriya?" Hearing her name come from All For One's mouth sent a chill down her spine. "Fear not, I will send you to join your husband, soon your son and all the others will follow."

Fire, rage, pure rage tore through Inko, hearing those words, "You should have brought more monsters with you, All For One." Inko replied, her voice at a dead calm. "After I deal with them, I am going to leave you in agony begging for me to show you the mercy of killing you."

"Is that any way for a little hero to talk?" All For One said mockingly.

"You murdered my husband and threatened my family. I am no hero today, I am a mother, and you just made the biggest mistake of your life," Inko replied.

All For One laughed, then snapped his fingers, "Kill her, my pets."

There was a mix of creatures, similar to those found in the forest, the kind that moved on four legs, and the hunters that controlled them. There were a couple that Inko hadn't seen before; these were broad and muscular. The broad and muscular ones were over 8 feet tall and lumbered behind the wave of monsters, with the hounds in the lead and hunters in the middle.

Inko didn't flinch; the world around her seemed to fade away as she saw past the army and All For One floating there like an Evil Overlord out of some anime, confident and smug. As Inko raced forward, her quirk roared to life like never before, fueled by her rage. The first hunters she encountered had their brains matter shredded in an instant. She slid down low under a diving attack from the next group, and the eyes of the creatures were ripped out around her. She slid, yanked herself to the right, avoiding a slash from one of the hunters, spun past the attack of a hound, and felt the claws of a second hound slash across her back.

Inko stumbled, tore the claws from the hound that had attacked her, and dodged out of the way as they impaled another hound. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the Muscle's punch coming; she got her guard up, but the impact still sent her tumbling back. She got her feet under her, shook the pain from her arms. The hounds were relentless; they came at her from all sides, attempting to cut off all forms of her escape. Their clattering and clicking filled her ears, and if possible, drove her anger to burn even hotter as memories of that night filled her head. The collapsed on her, some fell limply from the air as their brains were ripped from the open cavities, she landed a rising knee on one as the next one's claws tore down her arm, another across her back and sides. The pain flashed, but Inko ignored it. Two more hounds fell lifeless, a hunter's attack found its mark; its claws impaling Inko in the gut.

It lifted her off the ground; its mouth opened, and that hollow, mocking laughter rang out. Under the mask, Inko snarled. She placed her hands beside the Hunter's head and tore it apart. Inko fell, she staggered as the claws in her gut slipped out, she barely got her arm up to defend her head as a thunderous punch from a Muscle, it blocked some of the attack. Still, it broke her forearm in the process. Inko was dazed as she stumbled sideways, avoiding the ringing in her head, and she dodged the Muscle's follow-up attack. With a scream of rage, she tore the Muscles' head apart, and a wave of fatigue suddenly tore through Inko, and she fell to one knee. One of the Hunters kicked her in the chest, sending her sprawling. A hound leapt and bit into her arm, shaking its head side to side. Inko yelled in pain, tore its brain to shreds, tried to get to her feet but stumbled, her head was ringing, the constant use of her quirk was taking a toll, and the blood loss from her gut wound was catching up to her.

"I thought you were going to teach me a lesson, little hero?" All For One said, sounding bored.

A silver minivan suddenly came tearing in behind All For One, clipping the Villain's feet and making him spin in place. Inko saw the Van barreling towards her and the creatures; she used her quirk and pulled herself out of the way towards the house's wall. David Shield threw open the driver's side door and leapt from the speeding vehicle, hitting the grass before tumbling onto the driveway, cursing the entire way. The Van slammed into and through some of the last remaining hounds, and it wrapped itself around the Muscle as if it had hit a telephone pole.

David groaned as he pushed himself up, road rash and cuts on his body, blood leaking down his face from a head wound. "The Children?"

"Panic Room," Inko replied, pushing herself up using the wall as support. Inko dug into one of her medical pouches, pulled out a white powder, and poured it into the wound on her gut. She pressed a small metal cylinder to the area, and the powder ignited, cauterizing the wounds. Inko howled in pain but did not go down.

David was on his feet, pulling silver discs with gold and red lines running through them. David didn't say a word. He and Inko locked eyes; they just nodded at each other. Inko pushed off the wall, dashing forward. David wound up and threw the first disc towards the still-standing Muscle. It hit the creature square in the chest; the device flared to life, and red energy bands sprang out, coiling around the creature like an old-fashioned lasso binding it up. It tried to move or break free, but to no avail, it fell to the ground. The Hunter was next, the second throw missed, but not the third.

Inko took out the remaining Hounds, not stopping as she ran towards All For One, leaping into the air. Shards of glass from the broken windows of the minivan glowed and came racing up behind her. She used her quirk, targeting the ground to cut her jump short. The glass race passed her, crashing into All For One; some of the shards pierced the Villain, but the others just shattered. Inko didn't stop; she had listened intently to All-Might when he talked about the Villain, the multiple quirks, how he stole quirks, but most importantly, how he didn't have every quirk active at all times. That he would have a loadout for the situation and would need to shift between those in the middle of battle. As Inko landed, her quirk flared, and she tore at All For One's eyes. One of the Villain's eyes tore from the socket, making him scream. he got his hand up in time to stop the second one from coming free. Then Inko struck at his very manhood, attempting to tear his testicles from his body. All For One's yell grew louder; he came down from the sky and was down to one knee.

All For One gritted his teeth, shifting his quirks, blood stained his pants, "You bitch," he growled, though to Inko, his voice was a bit higher pitch than before.

Inko caught his eye in her hand and squished it; with his focus on Inko, he didn't see David maneuver to the side and throw two discs at him. They both hit, and a moment of triumph flickered for the two. The All For One body suddenly crackled with electricity, and the devices shorted, falling to the ground.

"Enough games," All For One said, standing, though still missing an eye. "You think you can beat me!"

"No, I don't have to beat you, I just have to stall," Inko said. Suddenly, Gran Torino came rocketing in from behind All For One, landing a full-force rocket kick to the back of the Villain's head. All For One stumbled forward, Torino pushed off, a quick yank from Inko, and he was coming back in to attack again. All For One was quick; he moved out of the way. He went to grab Torino, only for the nails on his hand to be violently yanked out and away, allowing Torino to land, reposition, and take out All For One's leg, dropping him to his knee once again.

Inko went to act again, but All For One extended his hand, and at each of the bloody tips, the blood shot out like spears. Inko managed to dodge the first three; the fourth pierced through her leg, and the fifth pierced through her shoulder. David pulled out another device, a metal cylinder about the length of his forearm. They went to throw it, but it exploded in his hand, sending him down in pain. The Torino attack was dodged. All For One moved his head slightly as Torino rocketed past. All For One then snagged him by the cape, spun, and threw him into the house and through the wall.

Inko struggled to stand. David was pushing back, clutching his hand, but he managed to get to his feet, his mind racing. Inko stared into All For One's eyes; everything was fading. Her adrenaline could only carry her so far. Her anger still burned, trying to will her into one more action, into one more attack.

"It is over," All For One said.

No one saw it, not even All For One. The impact of the hit shattered the windows of the house, and the shockwave knocked David and Inko down. "You are right about that, All For One! It is over BECAUSE I AM HERE!" All-Might was standing there; his punch had sent All For One flying, crashing through a brick wall and leaving a gouge in the street where he landed.

"You did well, Inko," All-Might whispered. "I will end it here and now."

Inko began to slump, but she felt an arm slip under her; it was Sir Nighteye. "I have to get you out of harm's way."

"But?" Inko protested.

"You did your part, Inko, let us do ours," Nighteye said, his voice soft and compassionate.

"Thanks," Inko said. Inko saw Torino emerge from the house, a bit bloody but ready to fight. She and David were taken to the panic room; the door opened, and Sir Nighteye got them inside. Inko saw Chiyo looking her over before calling for Izuku, who ran over as Melissa ran to her father. Izuku's face was tear-streaked. He knelt between the two of them. That was the last thing Inko saw: his wings unfurling, the white feathers glowing.

One For All

All-Might stood in a pool of his own blood, his right arm a shredded mess hanging limply at his side, his vision blurred, blood streaming from the various wounds. At his feet lay All For One, or what was left of him, a bloody paste where the villain's head once was. There was little doubt that All-Might had won this day. There was a question as to the cost of this victory. Torino, a bloody mess, was dragging himself to his feet and stumbling towards them. Sir Nighteye was unconscious, with broken legs. All-Might knew that at least Inko and David were alright, having been moved to the panic room, where they undoubtedly received treatment from Chiyo, if not Izuku or both. He was proud of how the two had held All For One and his forces back. Inko tearing out All For One's eye had been the advantage that allowed All-Might to deliver the final blow.

It was over now, his long quest to seek justice for his Mentor, to put an end to the scourge of the underworld, to bring a true era of peace to Japan; it had been accomplished this night. The cost was staggering, though; while those close to him were still standing, that was not the case around Japan. The coordinated nature of the attacks and the rapidly mounting death toll, as more of All For One's creatures were out there killing and causing havoc.

"There are others that need me," All-Might whispered to himself. His legs tensed as he was about to leap off into the night to lend his aid till his body collapsed; little did he know that the time to collapse was now. His legs crumpled, and he fell to his knees. He looked down and saw the area around his stomach bulging, the remnants of his costume keeping his intestines from spilling out on the floor. I can't die here, All-Might thought. I can't let One for All die here with me, not that All For One is dead, the good that the next bearer could do

Chiyo was at a loss for a moment. Nezu was about to arrive, along with Impact and Rock Sis, but All-Might didn't have a minute. She looked at Izuku; he still had some white feathers, but there was an abundant level of grey ones after he had healed his mother and David. Then her eyes fell on the green, glowing, and pulsing before her. Chiyo looked to the monitors, then to her grandson. "Izuku, I need your help," Chiyo said, her voice calm but commanding.

Izuku looked up at his grandmother and nodded. "Tell me what to do," He responded, his bottom lip trembling.

"I need you to heal your Uncle Toshi with as much as you can," Chiyo paused. "Then I want you to use all you can to boost my quirk so I can do the rest."

"But Grandpa Nezu says I shouldn't use that much Green on anyone, as we don't know what will happen?" Izuku protested.

"I know, sweetie," Chiyo said, scooping him into her arms. "But it is an emergency, and we have to break the rules today. I will handle Nezu okay?" Izuku nodded. "I want you to close your eyes, though, I don't want you to see your Uncle like that. Can you do that for me?"

"Yes," Izuku responded, burying his head in her shoulder as Chiyo rushed out of the panic room.

Chiyo ran to All-Might. Once she got close, she could hear him talking about how he had to live, how he still needed to pass on One for All, and that there were people who needed him still. You are right about that, Chiyo thought. "Okay, Izuku, heal your Uncle."

Chiyo watched as Izuku's wings spread out wide, and the remaining white feathers turned grey. “Now the green," Chiyo whispered, and braced. She didn't know what would happen with that much of Izuku's boost flooding through her, they had tried a little bit of his boost before and it seemed to cut down the tax of stamina it cost for a person to heal, but this much she didn't know if that would the only case or if something similar to Inko would occur; but she knew that help while on the way may not arrive in time even with Izuku healing Toshi some.

Chiyo felt the surge of energy rush through her; this high of adrenaline made her feel 40 years younger, ready to run a marathon or fight a horde of monsters all night. Chiyo felt her quirk surge inside her, an innate understanding of how much healing a person could endure, the ability to trigger it to that level, but there was more to it. She could feel the reserves of not only herself but of the others around her, of Torino, Izuku, and Nighteye. She could pull from them, channel it into her target, and use their stamina to heal someone else. There was this mental high that washed over Chiyo, the surge of power and ability coursing through her. She looked at her grandson and was in awe at this other aspect of his power. She also felt a surge of fear if this information was ever to be leaked to the world. She could see wars being fought over Izuku, him being held in a cage, forced to bestow this boost over and over again.

It was then that Nezu arrived with Impact and Rock Sis. Impact was a specimen of a man with a muscular build that many said was even more impressive than All-Might. His black hair and eyes, coupled with his pale skin and well-tailored suit, gave him an air of sophistication that complemented his implied threat of brute force. Rock Sis is a pretty woman with what some would call dirty blonde hair, a capable fighter, but more known for her ability to move and shape the earth around her. In fact, her niece, who had or was about to graduate, had a similar ability. Still, it seemed limited to golems and the sort. The one thing they both had in abundance right now was stamina; that was what was important to Chiyo.

"Impact, Rock Sis, come here quickly,” Chiyo said. "I am going to need to tap into your stamina to heal All-Might and the others.” Nezu's eyebrow arched.

"Wait, when were you able to do that?" Impact replied, a bit shocked, as the head of U.A. Security, he was well educated, or so he thought, on the quirks of the faculty.

"It doesn't matter right now, but I need both of your help to heal him,” Chiyo said quickly. “Help is on the way, but it may be too late."

"Who is the kid with the grey wings?" Rock Sis inquired.

"My grandson," Chiyo responded. "Will you help me?"

The two heroes looked at All-Might, his arm a shredded, tangled mess, and his blood-soaked costume, and they both just nodded. Chiyo handed Izuku to Nezu, then held out her hand to the heroes and placed her other hand on All Might. "I need physical contact," Chiyo said. When the two pro heroes touched her, it was like a circuit had been connected; she could feel this pool inside of them that she could funnel into All-Might, as well as the levels she would need to heal him. It was a nitro boost to her already accelerated healing, coupled with an energy cost reduction. She pulled more from Impact than Rock Sis as she activated her quirk. Impact fell to one knee, commenting that he felt woozy all of a sudden. Once Chiyo had completed the transfer, she severed the connection from the Pros and triggered Toshi to heal. He immediately slumped to the floor unconscious as his body began to rapidly heal right before their eyes, like something out of a science fiction novel. Chiyo then used Rock Sis to help trigger the healing of Torino and Nighteye, leaving Rock Sis sitting on the ground in a cold sweat.

"It's like just donated a huge amount of blood," Rock Sis mumbled.

"In a way you did," Chiyo responded. "Thank you, thank you both."

David emerged at this point, carrying Melissa with her head covered by a jacket, followed by Inko, who ran over to take Izuku from Nezu. “It's over," Inko whispered.

"It is at least this part of it," Nezu said. "The devastation from All For One's coordinated attack will not be so easily forgotten, though, as many lost their lives this night in his initial attack, and that toll will only continue to rise."

Inko looked to All-Might and the others who were unconscious on the ground, healing, "Izuku, honey." Izuku turned his head to his mother, slowly opening one eye. "I have to help people," Inko said softly.

"But…" Izuku protested.

"I know, sweetie, but you are safe now, and there are others, Mommies and Daddies, who need my help in making sure they are safe, and I need to check on all the little kids as well," Inko said. "You were so helpful today, and you saved me and your uncles. I need you to keep being strong so I can go help the other families out there."

"Okay," Izuku said, kissing Inko's cheek. "Go be a hero, Mom. We got this under control."

"Impact, Rock Sis, are you able to keep going?" Inko called out.

"Yes," Impact said, getting to his feet.

"As long as we can grab some OJ on the way, I am good to go," Rock Sis added.

Inko set Izuku down telling him to cover his ears, saying the same to David in regards to Melissa, she walked over to the body of All For One, “I can’t put two in your head but,” Inko pulled her gun and fired two shots into the Villain’s heart. The Heroes flinched. "Then let's go, there are people who need us," Inko said as a wave of Earth surged under their feet, carrying them off into the city.

Notes:

I would like to hear opinions your opinions on the story. The idea is the Fighter and White Mage trope or archetype. Melissa is the fighter, and Izuku is the White Mage. Izuku won't be helpless and will be able to fight as well. The initial idea is that it will be just the two of them as a couple, though the thought of Ochaco or even Ibarra has crossed my mind. But nothing super crazy or more than max these four.
