Welcome back, everybody. I have some bad news. I am putting a few of my unfinished works up for adoption, including this one.
THIS WORK IS UP FOR ADOPTION!
I won’t be continuing them, but anyone is welcome to take the concept and finish it. If you adopt one, please credit me as the original author and link back to the original work.
WHAT DOES ADOPTION OF THIS FIC INCLUDE?
- CREATIVE CONTROL. You can change anything that’s happened so far, anything that is going to happen in the future. It is now your fic, do with it what you want.
- You can use my original writing with credit to me to continue the fic.
- DRAFTS. You get access to any drafts that I have, outlines, plans, future chapter titles, etc… I can send them to you through email or tumblr, or by another method if you prefer. You can always ask me questions on things and I will do my best to answer them. [DISCLAIMER: not all of my fics will have outlines, future chapters, or plans.]
- OPEN ADOPTION. AO3 is a wonderful website where people all around the world can share stories and, one of my favorite parts, inspire each other. This fic is not going to be limited to one person because each person can take it in great directions with their own unique ideas. If someone cares enough about this fic to pick it up and nurture it, I hope they have enough respect for this, themselves, and their readers to not plagiarize someone else’s work if they picked up on it.
- INSPIRED BY. It is not required to put this fic in the “inspired by” with crediting me as the original author, but I would appreciate it if you did so that if people come to this one, they can be easily redirected to yours.
WHY IS THIS FIC GOING UP FOR ADOPTION?
Unfortunately, it’s just because I am no longer interested in the fandom. I was very involved for several months, but I don’t see interest coming back anytime in the future. As such, I don’t want this to sit on a shelf and collect dust. Chances are, if my interest returns in the far, far future, I will not be inspired to continue this fic.
I loved this fic when I was writing it. Like all my works, it is my baby. Please treat this fic well.
