Chapter 200: The End

If it's been awhile since you read the opening, I'd like you to refresh on our very first installment from months ago.

 

#1: Routine

Hermione Jean Granger was a creature of habit.

Her alarm clock rang every morning at 6:04 A.M., a perfectly reasonable time that made her feel as though she was luxuriously sleeping in. This was followed by some hot water with a squeeze of lemon juice, ten minutes of stretching like her elderly cat, a five-and-a-half minute shower, and a bowl of muesli.

This routine was necessary if she was to arrive at her office at the Ministry each day at 7 o'clock on the nose.

There was time for a coffee on the way.

Chapter Text

The following week, everything happened quickly.

Chucking her alarm clock for good, Hermione packed up her office and her flat. She left her job to Pip and officially moved in with Severus, bringing her poor cookery skills and her dim-witted owl Karen along with her.

The day of their departure, Molly threw them a farewell breakfast, inviting all their friends to send them off. Severus bore it with good humour, making Harry's baby girl a hideous orange balloon cat.

With an hour before their Portkey to visit Fiona and Charlie in Romania, Hermione hugged everyone goodbye and took Severus's hand, hopeful for the future.

There was time for a coffee on the way.
