Chapter 11: Chapter 10

Notes:

Hi guys, so this chapter is very long. It's all in Yuri's point of view and we finally get to see our favorite chicken nugget again. Fair warning though that this chapter may have some scenes related to child abuse that may make some uncomfortable. I hope you enjoy and like I mentioned last time kudos and comments make my day!

Chapter Text

Light filtering through the sheer curtains of the bedroom window slowly woke Yuri up, a soft yawn escaping the back of his throat as he lazily stretched out beneath the heavy blanket that the beta or alpha must have covered him with the night before. He eventually sat up, resting his back against the plush headboard and rubbing the sleep out of his eyes as he tried to focus on the soft tapping and chopping he could hear coming from the kitchen. He looked across the room, his eyes narrowing once he realized why he could hear the soft clanking of pots and pans so clearly. They must have come to check up on him during the night again and had left the door open to make sure they could hear him if he called for them…as if he would. They had pleaded with him to keep the door open the first night they had got back and the omega didn’t have the heart to tell them no. Now whenever they had the chance they would sneak in and leave the door open after they left and Yuri didn’t have the stamina to fight them about it.

He had other things he had to spend his energy on, like the constant fever checks, the monitored trips to the bathroom, and the odd hugging and cuddling the two were fond of. He wouldn’t admit it but every time he felt Viktor’s arms wrap around him or Yuuri’s soft lips against his skin he actually…enjoyed it. Yuri felt his face grow hot and quickly shook his head trying to rid it of memories that he had been collecting over the past few days. A soft yip from beside his bed caused him to smile before he glanced down, the brown poodles’ tail wagging rapidly as she waited to be told she could come up and greet him.

“Well, you are going to do it even if I say no…” Yuri mumbled, holding back a laugh when Makkachin took that as permission before leaping up and pressing her nose against his cheek. A few slobbery kisses later and the dog seemed satisfied as if she herself were checking his temperature and vitals like the other two did constantly. She settled down next to him, laying her head in his lap and closed her eyes with her tail swishing back and forth against the duvet contently as Yuri rubbed her ears and stroked her soft fur. “You are easy to please.” Yuri mused, smiling when Makkachin gently licked the back of his hand before plopping her head back on top of his lap.

“Ah Yuri, good morning!” Viktor called out as he sashayed into the room, a huge smile on his face. Yuri felt his right eye twitch in response, the overly cheery alpha hard to ignore first thing in the morning. “Did you sleep well?” the alpha asked, walking across the room and sitting on the opposite side of the bed so he wouldn’t crowd Makkachin.

“Yeah.” Yuri muttered, looking anywhere but the alpha’s beaming face. He could already feel the heat crawling up the back of his neck as the silver-haired skater scooted closer to him, the light smell of content alpha filling the small space between them along with Viktor’s own unique scent of sandalwood and another comforting smell that Yuri couldn’t quite place yet. He sighed when he felt Viktor’s large warm hand press against the skin of his forehead, the alpha humming contentedly before removing it once he was satisfied with the results.

He had began to pick up their scent the third night back from the hospital, having awoken up to Yuuri’s when the beta had come in in the middle of the night to check up on him, his gentle hand brushing his hair from his face.

“Oh, I’m sorry.” Yuri whispered, his glasses sliding down his nose slightly when Yuri blinked up at him from his pillow. Yuri smiled up at the beta, not really minding being woken up in the middle of the night as long as it was Yuuri or Viktor who did it. His eyes fluttered shut as Yuuri leaned over, the beta’s soft and warm lips pressing against his cheek.

“S’okay.” Yuri mumbled, words slurred from sleep. He felt his nose wiggle suddenly, the smell of fresh lavender and lilies suddenly invading his senses causing his eyes to fly open and his lips to part with a soft moan. “Wha..” he whispered, lifting his head slightly and instinctively pressing his nose to the base of Yuuri’s neck. The beta hummed softly when Yuri’s lips accidentally brushed against the dark blue mating mark at the juncture where his slender neck and shoulder met. “No…” Yuri whimpered when the beta pulled away from him slightly, face flushing a bright pink as the taller male slowly laid down on his side on the bed to face him, a pleased smile on his lips as those bright brown eyes stared at him.

“I’m not going anywhere,” Yuuri said softly, slowly holding his arms out in invitation. “Come here.” Yuri couldn’t help all but collide with the beta, a soft “oof” coming from Yuuri as he did so. The skater's arms gently wrapped around him as Yuri found the beta’s neck once more, drinking in the thick, calming scent that was Yuuri.

“God…you smell so good.” Yuri moaned, eyes blinking shut as he felt Yuuri’s warm lips planting kiss after kiss to the side of his neck. He tensed when he felt the beta’s nose press against the sensitive skin behind his ear, the slight pressure new and slightly alarming as Yuuri took in a deep breath of his own. He heard Yuuri give a soft groan, the noise causing his body to heat slightly as the arms around him tightened.

“Not as good as you, I would imagine. Oh Yuri you have no idea…” Yuuri spoke softly, hot breath suddenly rolling over the omegas skin as closed mouth kisses were suddenly turning into open ones against his neck and shoulder. Yuri couldn’t stop the urge, no, the want to press his teeth gently against the skin of Yuri’s shoulder, identifying a small trace of another smell that mingled with Yuri’s almost too perfectly, the newer smell muskier and somewhat exciting.

Yuri heard another soft whimper leave him and felt a strange sort of vibration against his chest as Yuuri continued to shower him with affection, not having the strength or want to move away from the exploring beta.

“Is this ok?” Yuuri suddenly asked, pulling away from the omega’s neck with a worried glance. The beta gently placed his hand against Yuri’s face and the omega found himself pressing against the palm of his hand eagerly, starved for the touch suddenly. “I can stop if this is uncomfortable.”

“No, don’t.” Yuri begged, another soft whimper leaving the back of his throat at the thought of the beta just up and leaving him, taking the comforting smell of lavender and warmth away. The strange vibrations rolling across his chest grew louder as Yuuri settled back in close to him, one of the betas' hands gently carding through his hair as the omega continued to press his nose against the skin of the dark-haired man’s neck.

“No fever, that’s good.” Viktor said happily, reaching over to give Makkachin a few scratches beneath her chin. The alphas voice effectively pulled Yuri away from the resurfaced memory, the omegas face pink with embarrassment as he tried to swallow a soft whine. It had only happened the one time much to Yuri’s displeasure, the beta being careful not to wake him again when he left, the omega having fallen asleep against the man’s chest after a while. After that first night Yuuri’s scent didn’t pull him from sleep, the sleeping aids probably having something to do with that, but he knew when the beta or alpha had come when the thicker blanket would be draped over him, never pulling it up and over his body himself.

“I haven’t had a fever since we’ve come back, why do you insist on checking all the time?” Yuri grumbled, still not looking in the alphas direction and relieved he had something to focus on besides the image of Yuuri’s flushed cheeks and soft lips. The morning after he had woken up from Yuuri’s late-night visit he had noticed the lingering smell of Yuuri along with Viktor’s heavier musk that he found penetrated the whole apartment causing him to be dizzy for the first hours he had been awake.

When he had finally gathered the courage to make himself known that morning Yuuri blessedly didn’t bring it up and had went about his normal business, showering him with gentle kisses and hugs in front of Viktor who seemed to have had a staring problem the rest of the morning. Every time he would catch the alpha’s eye it would send a hot wave of heat rolling across his body, the new heavy scent in the air wafting thickly around the omega as they would often stare at one another for a few moments before Yuri would become overwhelmed and snap at the alpha before running off to a different room.

“It never hurts to be cautious,” Viktor said smoothly, unruffled by Yuri’s annoyed remark. “This is the third night in a row you’ve slept all the way through, the sleep aids must be working.” the alpha said happily, his hand suddenly in Yuri’s view before sweeping his long bangs from his eyes. The omega closed his eyes as he felt Viktor’s fingertips stroke his cheek a few times before disappearing again.

“Yuuri is making breakfast this morning,” Viktor said suddenly, standing up and stretching his arms above his head until a soft audible click left his joints. “I think maybe we can try some solid food today and see how your body handles it.” the alpha continued, beaming in Yuri’s direction again when the omega glanced up at him.

“Ok.” Yuri mumbled, fingers clenching in Makkachin’s fur for a moment. “What if I…can't keep it down?” he asked timidly, the humiliation of the alpha and beta having to help him to and from the bathroom in the hospital resurfacing.

“Then we will handle it if it comes to that,” Viktor said, his voice soft. “But I think you will be fine. You’ve been keeping down the shakes and even the broth and hot chocolate you’ve been drinking.” the alpha continued before walking over to the dresser that rested against the back wall of the bedroom.

Yuri glanced up after the alpha had walked away from the side of his bed, watching the taller man rummage through the once empty drawers. That was another strange thing that had happened after they had come back. He had somehow lost the clothes he had at the hospital, his good ones at that too that had had hardly any holes in them, and the other two decided that they had to buy him a whole wardrobe full of clothes. Socks, pants, underwear, shirts, dress shirts, jeans, dress pants…all of it, even a few ties and shoes. He had tried to tell them no, that he still had a shirt left and it would be fine if he could just borrow the sweats they had leant him…but they weren’t having it. Yuuri gave him the look…the big doe-eyed look that he couldn’t say no to and here he was…stuck with a dresser and closet full of clothes he doubted he would be able to wear all of.

“What should we wear today…” Viktor mused from his spot in front of the dresser. Yuri watched as the silver-haired man placed a finger to his lips, seeming to be lost in thought. The omega rolled his eyes and watched as the alpha continued to dig through the dresser. Viktor had argued with Yuri the most about the clothes and Yuri had stubbornly told him that he wasn’t going to pick anything out to wear and that they would just have to get over it.

The alpha took that as a challenge unfortunately so now every morning Viktor would pick out a set of clothes for him to wear, even down to the socks and underwear. Yuuri would sometimes help but he often made himself scarce because more often than not the omega and alpha would start arguing about the fact that Yuri didn’t want to wear the new clothes in the first place. Yuri blinked when he heard the soft close of the dresser drawer and watched as Viktor turned around, a soft pair of lounge pants and a dark blue long-sleeved tee in his arms. A pair of fluffy socks and a patterned pair of underwear rested on top of the pile.

“I think this should do.” Viktor said happily, placing the clothes on the nightstand beside the bed. Yuri opened his mouth to begin their daily ritual but Yuuri’s voice calling from kitchen stopped him from speaking.

“Viktor can you come help me with this please?” the beta called out from the other room, Viktor grinning when he noticed it had stopped Yuri mid-argument.

“Of course, love!” Viktor called back happily, giving Yuri a triumphant grin. “Come to the kitchen when you are ready, I already have some hot chocolate waiting for you.” the alpha said before turning and leaving, closing the door softly behind him.

“Ugggh.” Yuri moaned, glancing at the pile of clothes next to him. He gave Makkachin a few more pets before gently pushing her off his lap and standing up. He stretched again, similar to Viktor’s pose but he stood up on his tiptoes and stretched his arms as far above his head as he could before slowly rolling back to stand on the flat of his feet. He glanced to the door just to make sure it was shut before he looked at the clothes again, feeling himself getting annoyed as he picked up the boxer briefs that Viktor had picked out.

Of course they would have little paw prints printed all over them with circles and hearts randomly scattered throughout. He had half the mind to just not wear them but when he picked them up he noticed how incredibly soft the material was. With a groan he quickly pulled off the sleep shirt he had worn to bed and peeled off the pajama pants and underwear as well. He quickly slipped on the fresh pair, smiling as the smooth material pressed against his skin. He fingered the elastic band for a moment, still not believing that clothes could feel like this. Everything they had gotten for him seemed to be soft and warm…and it actually fit. Nothing hung uncomfortably off his body and so far none of the fabric in his pants pooled at his ankles.

Next he pulled the pants up and over his hips, noticing that they were a little loose around his waist than the ones he had on yesterday but they weren’t falling off of him either. The long-sleeved tee he pulled on over his head was just as soft as the pants, the silky material cool against his chest. He looked down and frowned once he realized there was a strange graphic of a bear giving another bear a high-five. “Weirdo…” he mumbled, the silver-haired alpha coming to mind as he walked towards the door to his room.

Makkachin rushed out in front of him having heard kibble hit the bottom of her bowl and Yuri couldn’t help the smile that pulled at his lips as he watched the brown blur skid around the corner into the kitchen. He heard Yuuri greet the poodle happily before he stepped into the bathroom further down the hall and closed the door behind himself. Yuri relieved himself and then washed his hands before brushing his teeth and running a comb through his hair. He took a moment to glance at his reflection, the normal dark bags beneath his eyes seeming to be almost gone.“Huh,” he said, patting the soft skin beneath his right eye. “I guess sleeping constantly has its perks.” he mumbled, quickly looking away from his reflection before washing his face with the creamy face wash Yuuri had picked up for him the other day. He had tried to refuse it as well but Yuuri had given him that damn look again…was the beta even aware how much power he had?

After drying off his face he glanced to the large tub on the other side of the bathroom, scowling at the pink and purple soaps, lotions, and conditioners that Yuuri had also got him that rested on a little shelf next to it. Supposedly they were specifically made for omegas but the only difference that Yuri could find was that they smelled nicer than generic brands and left his skin and hair softer. He didn’t see the point in spending all the money that Yuuri and Viktor had on useless things. He had been just fine with the little bar of soap he had brought from Yakov’s, granted it didn’t really smell that great and left his hair a tangled mess at times.

After heaving another sigh he left the bathroom after cleaning up the little bit of water he had splashed on the counter. He walked towards the kitchen, enjoying the way the plush socks on his feet squished against his toes. The smell of something sweet filled the air as he got closer and his stomach actually managed a grumble in response. Yuri wasn't surprised, the beta’s cooking always smelled delicious.

“Oh, good morning Yuri!” Yuuri called out happily once Yuri had finally padded into the kitchen. The beta was wearing a dark blue apron that had something written in strange lettering on the front that of course Yuri couldn’t make out. Yuuri’s glasses had fallen halfway down his nose and there was a whisk in one hand and a bowl resting against his left arm.

Yuri stared for a few moments, trying to think of the right word to describe the beta. Adorable?….Well, it was cute but that wasn’t it…Viktor’s humming caused him to look towards the alpha, the omega noticing the black apron that the silver-haired skater was now wearing. There was a little bear face screen printed on the front and the pieces of fabric that were tied around his waist were dotted with paw prints.

“Have a seat at the bar, the pancakes are almost ready.” Yuuri said happily, not turning back to the stove until Yuri had chosen the middle barstool and had sat down. The omega watched as the two worked around one another, the beta humming softly as he flipped pancakes and Viktor humming back as he scrambled more eggs into a hot pan.

Domestic. That was it, that was what he was looking for. If only the T.V. stations and tabloids could see them now, wearing aprons and cooking an omega breakfast. They would have a field day displaying the once hottest alpha bachelor and serious three-time Grand Prix beta winner as a doting couple. Yuri found himself smiling for a moment, his hands wrapping around the warm cup of hot-cocoa that Viktor had sat in front of him a few moments before. He was the only one who had seen them like this then? No one else knew how kind…how amazing they were? Wait…amazing?

A familiar soft tapping noise pulled Yuri from his thoughts, his face scowling as he watched Viktor place several pill bottles in front of him. He had been home for a week and three days now but he still couldn’t get used to swallowing the huge pills that the doctor had prescribed to him.

“Here we go.” Yuuri said quietly, placing a large glass filled with the gross white-colored shake he now had to drink every four hours. Thankfully though they had relented at night and didn’t bother waking him then after clearing it with Dr. Anderson after he had displayed good results when he had gone back in for his scheduled checkup.

“Do I still have to drink it even though I’m going to be actually eating?” he asked hopefully, frowning when Yuuri gave him a little nod.

“I know you don’t like the taste, but it is helping.” Yuuri said with a little smile. “And if you can hold down your pancake today maybe we can start adding in fruit to make it taste better.”

Yuri only grumbled in return before he reached out to pick up one of the pill bottles in front of him. He shook a pill out in the palm of his hand and grabbed the glass full of shake before popping it in his mouth and taking a large gulp of the chalky substance. He felt his face scrunch up in reaction to the unpleasant taste and had to ignore the pleased look both the alpha and the beta sent him as he continued to take the rest of his medication and finish the meal shake.

“You are doing so well.” Viktor said, his voice sounding proud though Yuri had no idea why he would be. The omega shifted in his seat slightly, not sure what to do with the unexpected praise. Once Viktor had taken the medication bottles and empty glass away Yuuri placed a small plate in front of him that held a single pancake. A small syrup heart had been drawn in the middle and Yuri couldn’t stop the smile that tugged at his lips. It was stupid little things like this made the omega’s heart flutter and stomach flip flop.

“It may taste a little different from normal.” Yuuri said, placing a fork and knife in front of the omega. “We decided to use a sugarless batter and syrup in hopes that it settles on your stomach a little easier.” the beta explained.

“Oh…you didn’t have to do that.” Yuri mumbled before poking at the pancake with his fork.

“It was nothing.” Yuuri said with a slight wave of his hand. “Besides, between you and me I have to start watching what I eat if I want to enter the Grand Prix.” the beta admitted with a soft chuckle. Both he and the alpha gathered their plates from the other counter and sat beside him in the remaining barstools on either side of him, each pouring the caramel-colored syrup over their own stack of pancakes.

“Well dig in!” Viktor said happily, cutting into his own pancake and taking a bite. He gave a dramatic moan, shooting Yuuri a goofy grin. “Are you sure these have no sugar, they taste amazing, Yuuri.” the alpha complimented.

“Sure, sure.” Yuuri said dismissively before taking a bite from the pile of fluffy eggs on his plate. Yuri watched the Beta eat for a few moments, loving the way his glasses slid down his nose once again as he did. He glanced at Viktor who had grabbed the paper from the other side of the island and was scanning through it as he continued to stuff bite after bite of pancake, sausage, and eggs in his mouth.

“Why does this feel so normal?” Yuri thought to himself before slowly cutting a bite off from his own pancake and pushing it into his mouth. He closed his eyes as the flavor exploded across his tongue like it had the first time he had had pancakes with them. Though it wasn’t as sweet as it had been before Yuri still enjoyed the taste and texture of the spongy disks.

“Does it taste alright?” Yuuri asked, smiling when Yuri nodded at him with another full mouth of pancake. “Good.” the beta said happily before turning back to his own breakfast. Yuri had managed to finish his one pancake after they had both finished all of their food, having difficulties considering the large shake he had drunk before. Both Yuuri and Viktor had told him not to push himself too far but the omega had wanted to finish considering it was the first solid food he had eaten in almost a week.

———————————————————————————————————————

As expected both Yuuri and Viktor were against the omega helping them clean up in the kitchen after they had all finished eating and had shooed him to the living room to ‘rest’. Yuri would have protested longer if Viktor hadn’t given him his tablet. He didn’t really know what he was supposed to do with it at first but then the alpha showed him how to download books. After that he was gone, pulled into a different world as he hungrily read page after page of a book he had found. He didn’t even notice when the other two arrived, Yuuri sitting in the seat next to him and Viktor taking a seat in a recliner across from them.

“Yuri.” Yuuri said softly, pulling Yuri from the screen in front of him. “Here you go.”

“Huh?” Yuri asked, blushing slightly when both the beta and alpha chuckled softly. Yuri sighed when Yuuri handed him another glass full of the awful shake, nose scrunching in disgust as he sat up from the comfortable position he had found while he was reading. Had it really been that long since he had started to read? How long had they been sitting there? Had they been looking at him?

Yuuri waited until after the omega had finished the glass, holding out a soft cloth for the blond to use since some of the liquid had escaped down his chin, to speak once again.

“How do you feel about visitors?”

“Visitors?” Yuri asked, brows raising slightly. He gently placed the tablet on the couch beside him, watching as Yuuri leaned forward to place the empty glass on the coffee table.

“Minami and Cole have been asking about you.” Yuuri explained, smiling when the omega tensed slightly.

“They have?” Yuri asked, slightly surprised. The omega bit his bottom lip slightly as he looked down to his lap. He had wanted to see Minami and Cole again ever since Minami had called him before his doctors appointment. “They want to see me?” he asked, trying to figure out why the two seemed so eager to see him of all people. He was nothing special after all and he was sure that they could be doing something else that was more interesting.

“Of course.” Yuuri chuckled, his hand finding the omegas a moment later. “We were thinking about asking them over for dinner tonight if you feel up to it.”

“Ok.” Yuri said with a slight nod, still not sure why his opinion mattered when it came to the mated pair inventing people to their home. He smiled as a small bubble of excitement bounced around his belly at the thought of seeing the other two again so soon.

“Great!” Viktor called out happily, giving the beta and omega an enthusiastic thumbs up before he stood up from his seat across from them. “Well I’ll pick up the things we need then.” the alpha hummed happily, picking up Makkachin’s leash when the dog noticed him walking towards the entryway.

“Ah, don’t forget to pick up the cheese for the snack platter.” Yuuri called out, leaning forward to press a kiss against the omegas cheek before he stood up and walked towards Viktor. Yuri watched as the beta helped the alpha shrug his jacket on, pulling a scarf around the taller man’s neck as Viktor wrapped his arms around Yuuri’s waist. The beta hummed contentedly, eyes closing as Viktor pressed his lips to his. Yup. Domestic. That was the correct word after all as Yuri watched the beta reach up to smooth Viktor’s hair slightly after the two had parted.

“Of course.” Viktor said, glancing over Yuuri’s shoulder to look at the omega. “Yuri do you need anything while I’m out?” he asked cheerfully, chuckling when the blond-haired omega shook his head quickly. “Are you sure?”

“I’m fine.” Yuri said, rolling his eyes as he thought back to the mountain of clothes and the expensive shampoos and conditioners that the two of them had already purchased him. What more could he possibly need or want?

“Ok.” Viktor said, a small pout on his lips that Yuri didn’t understand. “Well I’ll be back soon, I’m just going to run down to the market since Makkachin wants to go.” the alpha said before bending forward slightly to attach the clasp of the blue colored leash to the matching blue collar the poodle wore.

“Be safe.” Yuuri said quietly, smiling when Makkachin began to bark excitedly at the closed door.

“Always~!” Viktor called out in a sing-song voice, the sound of the automatic lock unlocking after the alpha had pressed the holographic screen that had popped up in front of the door.

Yuri watched the back of the alpha’s head as he walked through the door, the locks clinking together once more when the door finally shut behind him, cutting the omegas view off. Yuri suppressed a soft whine at the absence of the alpha, frowning when Yuuri turned around to look at him with a small smile.

“He’ll be back soon.” the beta said quietly before walking back across the living room to take the seat he had been sitting in next to the blond once more.

“I-I know.” Yuri mumbled, looking away from the beta when he felt the other man’s hand grab his own again. “Why didn’t you go with him?” Yuri asked softly, remembering what Yuuri had said about being apart from each other was something they both disliked.

“Well, who would stay here with you?” Yuuri asked, another smile pulling at his lips as the skin on the back of Yuri’s neck heated.

“I would have been fine. You don’t have to worry.” Yuri said hurriedly shaking his head slightly. “I couldn’t leave even if I wanted to.” he pointed out bitterly, knowing the I.D. bracelet wouldn’t even let him open the door if Viktor wasn’t there to approve it.

“That’s not why I stayed.” Yuuri said, the beta’s fingers suddenly grasping Yuri’s chin and tilting his head up so that brown eyes met his own blue. “I stayed because I wanted to. I would miss you just as much as I’m missing Viktor.”

“Why?” Yuri asked, pulling away from the beta's gentle touch. He didn’t understand why his chest tightened at those words or why his stomach fluttered. Surely Yuuri was mistaken…to miss him like that? Yuri mentally scoffed, chiding himself for even considering that Yuuri actually meant what it sounded like he was saying. He heard the beta’s gentle sigh but he refused to meet his gaze again when the older man called out his name.

“Yuri, we r-“

The sound of Yuri’s ringtone going off from the kitchen caused the beta to stop mid-sentence, another sigh leaving him though this one sounded slightly annoyed as the beta stood up from the couch to walk towards the hallway. Yuri let out a breath of air, sinking back against the plush cushions of the couch as he listened to the beta’s far away voice answer the phone. He scowled when he realized that Yuuri had begun to speak in Japanese, no longer able to understand what he was talking about as the beta continued his distant conversation in the other room.

Yuri looked down at his hands that rested in his lap, frowning as he thought about his current situation he was in again, eyes closing as images of Yakov and his musty little house resurfaced. In less than two weeks Yakov was coming back and he would then have to return to the older alpha. He would have to leave the comfort of Yuuri and Viktor’s home meaning he would probably never really see the alpha or beta again.

It hurt. He realized this as he reached up to press his hand against his aching chest. It hurt to think about it and he didn’t want to anymore. He didn’t want the next week or so to be the last time he awoke to Viktor’s annoying morning singing and tickling. He didn’t want to have to hold Yuuri’s hand for the last time or receive a final kiss to the top of his head from Viktor on the way out of the door. But it didn’t matter what he wanted because in the end this was never supposed to happen in the first place. He was just sent here to be looked after and then returned. He shouldn’t have gotten so attached, so comfortable with them that it hurt just to think about not seeing them for just one day.

What was he going to do?

——————————————————

Viktor returned soon after Yuuri had finally gotten off the phone about an hour later, the beta meeting the alpha at the door to help him with the armload of groceries he was carrying. Yuri couldn’t help the slight excitement at the sound of the doors unlocking and had turned around on the couch to peek over the back to get a glimpse of the alpha.

“Viktor, they are beautiful.” Yuuri gushed softly, his voice having an awed tone that Yuri had never heard him use before. Interested in what caused that reaction Yuri craned his neck to the side, trying to see around the two.

“I thought you would like them.” Viktor answered quietly, a soft chuckle coming from him as he slipped off his shoes and gave whatever he had been holding to Yuuri so he could place the other bags on the ground to free his arms.

“You got roses for…” Yuuri trailed off, the beta turning toward the omega who had quickly tried to throw himself across the seats of the couch to hide the fact he had been peeking at them. “Oh Yuri, it’s ok.” the beta said with a soft laugh.

“They are for you too, Yuri.” Viktor said happily, the sound of bags crinkling as Viktor picked a few up from the floor.

Yuri slowly sat up, the object of Yuuri’s fascination now visible considering the beta had walked across the room and was now standing right behind the back of the couch. The omega could see why the beta had swooned, the bright baby pink roses and sprigs of lavender and babies breath in the large bouquet of flowers standing out gloriously against the white lilies and another white flower Yuri couldn’t name. “Wow.” Yuri mumbled, eyes drinking in the pretty colors as the beta continued to stand in front of him. The large bouquet was arranged beautifully with a white satin bow tied around lilac-colored tissue paper that wrapped around the stems of the flowers.

“Aren’t they gorgeous?” Yuuri asked, smiling when Yuri tentatively reached up to stroke a rose petal with his finger.

“Yeah.” Yuri mumbled, smiling as he began to explore the different textures of each flower along his fingertips. He had never been this close to anything like this before. He had read about it in books and seen some ads on T.V. but they didn’t compare to this.

“Well Makkachin, I might just have to bring flowers more often for that look.” Viktor mused, laughing when Yuri blushed and turned away from the flowers stubbornly in response. Makkachin whined softly, her interest in the toy that was currently resting on one of the recliner seats.

“Will this work?” Viktor asked, causing Yuri took look back at him. The alpha had carried in a large crystal vase, the light purple color seeming iridescent from the sun pouring in from the back wall of windows.

“I think it will be perfect.” Yuuri stated, moving across the living room with the bouquet of flowers in tow. He stopped at a little side table next to the hallway and moved the rounded dish that held decorative glass animals to the side, allowing Viktor to sit the vase down. The beta hummed as he arranged the flowers in the vase, glancing to Yuri when he finished. “You think they look ok here?” the beta asked him causing Yuri to shrug. What was he supposed to say to that?

“I’ll go get some water for them.” Yuuri said happily, turning away from the arrangement once he seemed satisfied by the way they looked to walk down the hallway towards the kitchen.

Viktor looked at the flowers for a moment before shooting Yuri his signature smile and walked back towards the entryway to pick up the rest of the bags from the floor. Yuri waited until the alpha had disappeared down the hallway after Yuuri before standing up and walking towards the flowers, eyes raking over the roses and lavender sprigs again. He lifted his arm a few moments later, his fingers tentatively touching the surface of the vase, the smooth glass feeling cool underneath his touch.

“The roses are for you.” Viktor said, causing Yuri to almost jump out of his skin in response. He turned toward the sound of the alpha's voice, his face heating up as he realized they were both there and staring at him with the beta holding a glass of water in his hand. How long had he just been looking at the flowers? Why hadn't they said anything?

“What? W-Why?” Yuri stuttered taking a few guarded steps away from the vase of flowers, eyeing the two carefully.

“Well I got the lavender and lilies for Yuuri and I had to get you your flowers too.” Viktor explained, smiling as he watched the beta step up to the vase and add water to the large arrangement.

“My flowers?” Yuri asked, head tilting to the side as he tried to make sense of what the alpha was saying. “But I said I didn’t want anything.”

“Ah, but they are also for Yuuri, so technically Yuuri didn’t say he didn’t want anything so I didn’t break any rules!” Viktor explained childishly, grinning when Yuri rolled his eyes at him.

“Stop teasing him, Viktor.” Yuuri said through a soft chuckle. Yuri watched as the beta leaned forward, nose sniffing a pink rose. “They are lovely, though, they can’t really compare.” the dark-haired skater mused.

“I know, love.” Viktor said, sending another smile towards the omega across the room.

Yuri was lost.

——————————————————

The rest of the day Yuri occupied himself with the tablet that Viktor was still letting him borrow, almost done with the book he had downloaded earlier that morning. Other than the nasty shakes, a few temperature checks, and more cups of hot chocolate, Yuuri and Viktor left him to himself. They seemed busy tidying up for their guests that evening, the beta seeming to have an odd fascination with making the sleek furniture in the living room sparkle as he dusted, polished, and rearranged pillows, and remotes to electronics until he was satisfied.

Viktor helped the beta with a few of the heavier pieces like the couches and chairs that they pushed back so that he and Yuuri could vacuum underneath them. The omega didn’t really understand the amount of effort they both gave considering the apartment hadn’t once looked cluttered or dirty since he had been there. He supposed that was mainly due to the both of them cleaning and picking up here and there throughout the day, every day. The omega wished Yakov had that sense of cleanliness, the old alpha leaving clutter and even trash laying around his house that Yuri himself would finally have to clean once it became too much for him to handle looking at.

“Yuri.” Viktor’s voice pulled him from a rather boring chapter of his book, the alpha smiling when the omega slowly looked up at him in response. “Have you ever thought about pulling your hair back?” the silver-haired skater asked, chuckling softly when Yuri sent him a confused look.

“What do you mean?” Yuri asked, self consciously reaching up to brush his long hair from his face. Did Viktor not like the length of his hair? Did he think it looked ridiculous?

“I noticed that you kept pushing it out of your face when you read. I thought maybe if you tied it back it wouldn’t bother you as much.” Viktor said, smiling when the omega frowned slightly.

Yuri hadn’t really even thought about it to be honest. He had been letting his hair grow out for about a year now having found the courage to finally ask his grandfather to stop giving him the same hair cut his father had always insisted on. The older alpha had seemed relieved and when Yuri had asked him why he had always trimmed it back the old man had stated that he thought the omega had liked his hair that way.

“I…don't really know how to,” Yuri admitted in a soft mumble. He knew it couldn’t be that hard having seen girls in his high school pull their hair back on multiple occasions. “I don’t have any of the little bands either.” the omega added, shrugging his shoulders before looking back down to the tablet resting on his lap.

“Well I have plenty of those.” Viktor said with a wave of his hand. “I could never make myself get rid of them even after I chopped off all my hair.” the alpha said with a dramatic sigh.

Yuri glanced back up to the alpha once more, remembering how long and silky the alphas hair once was during a few performances. He had been sad at first to learn that the skater had cut his hair, the media having a field day as they plastered photos all over the internet and T.V. news channels. Yuri had always wondered why exactly the older man had decided to cut it, but he wasn’t about to ask why considering it was probably none of his business in the first place. That and the fact the shorter hairstyle seemed to suit him, but Yuri would bet money Viktor would even look amazing bald.

“I could help you, if you like.” Viktor said with a smile, walking over to gently brush Yuri’s long blond hair out of his eyes.

Yuri felt his face heat up, his eyes closing as Viktor continued to gently sweep the rest of the hair from his face. The omega couldn’t help himself as he leaned into the touch, biting his bottom lip as he thought the offer over. If he said yes he would be able to continue selfishly enjoying Viktor long fingers tugging at his hair softly and he would be able to drown himself in the alpha’s thick scent with him so close like he was now. If he had said no the warm hands would disappear and the strong smell of sandalwood would go back to its normal subtle hints once the alpha would walk away from him.

“Ok.” Yuri said softly, voice barely above a whisper as he opened his eyes to look up at the alpha once more. He felt the back of his neck grow hot at the excited smile Viktor gave him in response.

“Yay!” Viktor called out happily, his hands leaving Yuri’s hair allowing all the blond strands to fall in his face once more. Yuri frowned at the loss of touch, his body instinctively leaning forward for more.

“They are about thirty minutes out, they said they got caught in traffic.” Yuuri announced as he appeared from the hallway, his glasses gone and replaced by contacts it would seem.

Yuri looked around Viktor to glance at the beta, noticing that the soft-looking sweat pants and oversized t-shirt he had been wearing earlier had been replaced by a light cream and tan colored sweater vest combo with dark denim jeans. Yuri watched as the beta walked up to Viktor’s side, noticing the diamond pattern on the soft material of the vest, the jeans he now wore hugging at just the right parts of his slightly muscled things.

“Oh you already changed too, Viktor?” Yuri asked his, his gaze now slowly rolling over the alpha. Yuri blinked, his eyes following the betas lead as he drank in the dark blue button-up dress shirt and black pants that it was tucked in to. He watched the alphas large hands as he rolled both his sleeves up expertly to his elbows, giving Yuri a nice view of toned forearms and smooth pale skin.

“I picked out a few things for you, Yuri.” Yuuri suddenly said after Viktor had hummed in acknowledgment and planted a kiss against the end of the betas nose.

“What, why?” Yuri asked, caught off guard when the beta sent him a bright-eyed glance. “Isn’t what I’m wearing ok?” the blond asked, looking down to the soft and fuzzy lounge pants and fluffy socks he was wearing.

“Well, love,” Viktor began grinning when Yuri’s cheeks flushed a bright pink at the term of endearment he used. “When receiving guests it’s best not to be in lounge wear.” the alpha explained, a brow raising when Yuri glanced up at him through narrowed eyes.

“What even is the difference?” Yuri asked, reaching up to pull at the soft material of the long-sleeved t-shirt he was wearing.

“Well I know Minami and Cole won’t be wearing lounge clothes when they come, not if Phichit has his way at least,” Yuuri said with a soft laugh, continuing when Yuri gave him a confused look. “Phichit loves to dress them up, he’s actually the one who chooses Minami’s performance costumes.” the beta explained.

Yuri looked down to the floor for a few moments, thinking over the few options he had here. He could argue like normal but he knew Viktor wasn’t going to have it and he would just have to change anyways. Also if Minami and Cole were expected to be dressed a certain way…wasn’t he?

“F-Fine.” Yuri mumbled before turning away from them and walking down the hall after Viktor had given him a surprised look at his easy agreement.

“Meet me back in here when you are finished then I will work my magic!” Viktor called out happily causing the omega to roll his eyes as he shut his bedroom door. Yuri walked across the carpet to the bed, looking over the cream-colored sweater and faded denim jeans underneath it. He fingered the soft material of the sweater for a moment, smiling slightly as it seemed yet again everything they had gotten him was soft and warm.

Yuri quickly changed his clothes, appreciating the way the soft inside of the sweater pressed against his skin. The jeans, on the other hand, fit a little too well, but maybe the omega felt that way because he had never had jeans that actually hugged his backside and legs as these did. He was thankful the sweater was a little oversized, the back of it covering his bottom halfway.

He left the room after finger combing through his hair, refusing to change out of the plush socks because he doubted the thinner ones that Yuuri had picked out would have been half as comfortable. The alpha and beta gave him a once over when he reappeared in the living room, their gaze causing him to shift his feet slightly in the spot he had stopped in.

“You look amazing.” Yuuri finally said, a bright smile on his expressive face. “I knew the sweater would be a little big but it looks good.” the beta mused, looking at Viktor who gave a low whistle.

“You certainly have some long legs.” Viktor said quietly, causing Yuri to look down at them. He tapped his right thigh gently where his hand rested against them, eyebrows pulling together as he tried to figure out if that was something that the alpha liked or if it was an eyesore to him. No one had ever mentioned the length of his legs, let alone said he looked like anything. Well besides his father but he had never been one for compliments.

“Come here, beautiful,” Viktor said suddenly, causing Yuri’s heart to pound against his ribcage. He didn’t move and he didn’t dare look up in response. Surely he was talking to the beta, right? No one…why would anyone call him that?

“Yuuuuri~!” Viktor sang softly, smiling when Yuri finally glanced up at him. “I was talking to you silly, come here.” Viktor repeated, his smile widening when Yuri stumbled towards him, his face flushed and hands balled into fists at his sides.

Yuri sat down on the overstuffed cushion that had been placed in front of the couch where the alpha and beta now sat when Viktor had motioned for him to do so. Yuri’s stomach was still doing strange flip-flops as Viktor began to tug at his hair, a brush running through the strands as the alpha hummed softly.

“How are you going to pull it back?” Yuuri asked, the beta’s hand gently pressing against Yuri’s shoulder as the omega continued to allow the brush to sweep the hair up and away from the nape of his neck.

“I was thinking maybe a braid on the side just for now.” Viktor answered. Yuri heard the soft clatter of the brush on the little end table by the side of the couch behind him, Viktor’s large hands gently tugging and pulling at his hair as he continued to work. Yuri felt his eyes growing heavy, the alpha's hands seeming to have a strange effect as they worked in his hair. The strong and settling smell of sandalwood surrounding him as hints of lavender swirled in and out thanks to Yuuri being so close as well were helping his body feel at ease.

“Don’t go to sleep, Yuri.” Viktor chuckled, a playful tug at his ear pulling the blond from the strand trance he had entered.

“I’m not.” Yuri huffed, fighting back a yawn as Viktor continued. A few more minutes later and Viktor had clapped his hands, announcing that he was done with his masterpiece. Yuri stood up before reaching back behind his head to tug at the ponytail, the slight weight against the back of his head oddly comforting once he had let it go.

“It suits you.” Yuuri said, the betas eyes staring into his. Yuri felt his cheeks redden and he had to look away, scowling when Viktor hummed in agreement.

“You can go look if you want. If you don’t like it I’ll be more than happy to try something else.” Viktor said, Yuri already walking towards the bathroom before he had finished his sentence.

Yuri walked into the bathroom and flipped on the light, blinking at his reflection with a puzzled look. Sure it was him who stared back but he had never thought his hair could look like this. Viktor had pulled all of his hair back into a ponytail, a few strands on both the right and left side of his head weaved into a thick braid that intertwined with the rest of the hair that had been gathered up. He reached up tentatively to trace the outline of a braid, a smile tugging at his lips as he stared at it in awe.

“Is it ok?” Viktor asked causing Yuri to jump in surprise. The alpha grinned before reaching over to stroke his cheek gently. “I really don’t mind doing something else for you.”

“N-no, I really like it. Thank you.” Yuri stuttered, smiling up at the alpha slightly as he pressed his cheek against the taller man’s open palm. He felt his heart thudding against his ribcage once more as Viktor’s thumb gently swiped against his bottom lip. This sort of thing should have made him step back from the alpha in a hurry but Viktor’s touch was so gentle and soft that Yuri couldn’t bring himself to move or to tear his gaze away from crystal blue eyes.

“You are more than welcome.” Viktor said softly, pulling his hand away with a soft sigh a few moments later. “The things you can do Yuri…” the alpha mused before pressing his hand over his face with a soft groan.

“What do you mean?” Yuri asked, a small pout on his lips now that Viktor’s hand wasn’t pressing against his face. “Did I…do something wrong?” he asked, suddenly aware that he had all but drooled on the alpha just seconds before. “I-“

“Of course not.” Viktor said quickly, his hand gone from his face and his normal grin shining in his direction. The sound of the intercom buzzing throughout the apartment pulled both of their attention, Yuri smiling when he heard Minami’s excited voice gush over the speaker a few moments later.

“Well looks like the company has arrived!” Viktor said happily before gently grasping Yuri’s hand and pulling him slowly down the hallway after flipping the bathroom light off. Yuri followed him wordlessly, thoughts in a whirl as he tried once again to understand what the alpha wanted from him.

“Yuuuurii~!”

Yuri grunted as a blond blur suddenly knocked into him, thankful Viktor had quickly sidestepped behind him to catch him stumbling backward. The overwhelming smell of cinnamon and nutmeg flooded his senses for a moment as something that sounded like a purr vibrated from Minami’s chest against his own. So this is what Minami smelled like? Somehow it made sense to him.

“Geeze, Yuri.” Minami whispered, the blonde’s nose now pressing against the base of his neck. “I know I said you would smell good if you weren’t on suppressants but I didn’t think you would smell this good!”

“What?” Yuri asked, finally finding the strength to push Minami away from him slightly. “I don’t.” he huffed, smiling when Minami beamed at him, the omega reminding him of the sun as the blond excitedly rocked back and forth on his feet.

“If you say so~!” Minami said happily, his eyes looking Yuri over carefully before he continued to speak. “You’re okay now though, right?” he asked earnestly causing Yuri to smile again.

“Yeah, I think so.” Yuri answered honestly, frowning when Viktor patted his shoulder gently before moving out from behind him to greet the rest of their guests. Yuri smiled when Minami wrapped his arms around him once again, resting his chin on the skater's shoulder as he watched the other four interact with one another in the entryway. Well really three considering Cole seemed to be sleeping in Phichit’s arms.

“He didn’t make the drive?” Yuri asked through a soft laugh, the beta watching as Phichit gently adjusted the sleeping omega in his arms as Alex removed his coat then Cole’s before handing them to Viktor.

“The car always puts him to sleep, I’m not sure why.” Phichit answered, his voice barely above a whisper as he waited for Alex to slip Cole’s shoes off before carefully stepping out of his own.

“Well, that and he’s probably still exhausted from the past few days,” Alex said, Yuri amazed that the man had such a quiet tone of voice. The taller alpha had been loud and outspoken the last time he had been there, much like Minami was.

“Ah, that too,” Phichit said, a strange sort of look crossing the other's face before he pressed a few kisses against Cole’s cheek. Cole mumbled something in his sleep in response eliciting a soft ‘aww’ from Yuuri and a proud grin from Alex.

“Minami.” Yuri whispered, slowly pulling back so he could look at the other omega. “What do they mean the past few days?” he asked, frowning when the other blonde smiled at him sheepishly.

“Well Cole just got out of heat about two days ago so he’s still a little sore and tired,” Minami explained, placing a hand over his mouth to stifle a laugh when Yuri lit up like a Christmas tree.

“O-Oh.” Yuri managed to say, regretting asking his question completely when he saw Viktor glance at him. “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to bring it up.”

“It’s ok, it’s not like it’s a big secret,” Minami said, shrugging his shoulders. “I mean it happens.”

“Yeah…” Yuri mumbled, looking away from the other omega as he tried to calm down. He didn’t understand how Mianami could talk so openly about something like this, something so personal.

“Could we trouble you for a quiet room?” Alex asked, causing Yuri to glance back towards the door.

“Oh, of course.” Yuuri said quickly, motioning towards the hallway. He and Phichit were soon out of view, the only people left in the room the two alphas and omega who were now all staring at him for some reason.

“W-what?” Yuri stuttered, his gaze falling to the ground quickly. He suddenly wished his hair hadn’t been pulled back considering he could have hidden the blush on his cheeks easier that way.

“Sorry, but I don’t think I actually saw your face the last time we were here so I was just admiring the view,” Alex said smoothly, grinning slightly when Viktor slapped the back of his back.

“Ah, Alex my old friend, surely you have more tact than this,” Viktor said, eyes narrowed slightly in the taller alpha’s direction.

“I have my hands full,” Alex said, hands raising up slowly in defense. “No intentions, just simply appreciation.” the muscular alpha said quickly. Yuri watched the strange interaction, confused. He didn’t understand the slight strained expression that Viktor had across his face.

“What is happening?” Yuri mumbled, looking to Minami for help but the other omega only giggled before reaching up to tug at his ponytail playfully.

“Your hair is really pretty today.” Minami said, grinning when Yuri shook his head, flustered by the attention.

“Well my friend, if you have no ill-intention then please, come in!” Viktor exclaimed happily, showing Alex to the living room. Yuri watched, still confused as Alex and Viktor seemed to be ok again, none of the strange awkward tension that had been there only moments before present. Yuuri and Phichit came back shortly after Viktor and Alex had settled on the couch, Minami quickly going to his beta’s side to receive a gentle kiss to his lips. Phichit wrapped his arms around the shorter blonde before planting a few more kisses against Minami’s face and lips, humming softly when the omega pressed his face against his neck.

“He is ok?” Minami asked softly, Yuri watching as a smile tugged at the beta’s lips.

“He is fine. You know how he is. Another hour of sleep or so and he’ll be ready to come out and play.” Phichit said, his fingers trying to smooth the blond's fluffy hair. Minami mumbled slightly, swatting at his betas hands before pulling away and hugging Yuuri.

Yuri bit his bottom lip as he watched the other omega rub his face into Yuuri’s shoulder. His beta. Yuri felt himself move, but he couldn’t stop. The next thing he knew he was pushing against Minami, moving him away from Yuuri so that he could take his place, a small growl leaving him as he hugged Yuuri’s arm to his chest as he stared back at the other blonde.

“Yuri,” Yuuri said through a soft laugh, the skater's arms wrapping around him and pulling to where his back pressed against his chest.

Minami only laughed before sending Yuri a little wink. “You can’t share?” he asked, laughing again when Yuri only growled softly. Yuri couldn’t hold back a grin when Phichit grabbed the shorter omega’s ear.

“Hey!” Minami pouted, looking up at Phichit with his bottom lip poking out slightly. “I was only teasing.”

“I know, but what did we talk about on the way here?” Phichit asked, his right brow raising as he waited for Minami to answer. Yuri watched as Minami rolled his eyes, pulling his ear free before shrugging slightly.

“Fiiiine.” Minami said through a sigh, directing his next smile to Yuuri. “I guess I can’t have you all to my self now.”

“I don’t think so, no.” Yuuri replied through another soft laugh. Yuri blinked once he felt kisses press against the top of his head, the beta’s arms around his waist tightening slightly. “I have some snacks in the kitchen if you two want to have some.” Yuuri said, gently turning Yuri around in his arms so he could look at his face. “Just be careful ok?” he said before gently stroking the omega’s cheek. “You held down the pancake just fine so it’s okay if you want to try to eat a little something.”

“O-ok.” Yuri mumbled, face flushed as Yuuri gave him a few more kisses against his forehead.

“YES!” Minami said enthusiastically, his hand finding Yuri’s and pulling him out of the beta’s arms and down the hallway.

“Minami, behave!” Phichit called out in a warning tone, the blond groaning once they had made it into the kitchen.

“He always thinks I’m going to get into some kind of trouble,” Minami said with another eye roll. His face lighting up when they found the cute little bunny-shaped apple slices resting on a platter on the island in the kitchen. “My mom used to make them like this.” Minami said wistfully before pulling out a barstool and taking a seat. He picked up a bunny and began to munch on it as he watched Yuri take the seat next to him.

Yuri smiled at the little rabbits thinking they were almost too cute to eat. He reached out tentatively and picked one up, taking a small bite. He closed his eyes as he chewed the sweet piece of apple, enjoying the crisp flavor.

“Have you kissed them yet?”

Yuri almost chocked on his next bite, his throat sore as he managed to swallow the bite whole without chewing. “W-What?” Yuri sputtered, turning slightly in his seat so that he could face the blond.

“Aww.” Minami said before reaching up to gently pinch Yuri’s cheek. “I can’t believe they have lasted this long then.”

“What do you even mean?” Yuri asked through a huff, abandoning his half-eaten bunny on the tray and swatting Minami's hand away. How could Minami even think for one second that Viktor and Yuuri wanted anything like that to do with him.

“I can’t tell if you really don’t realize it or if you are in denial,” Minami said with a sigh, blinking and sitting up straight after a few moments. “But Cole did tell me…” Minami rubbed the back of his neck, a blush on his cheeks. “Look ignore me, I’m sorry.” the other omega gushed. “I didn’t mean to say that ok?”

“Ok…?” Yuri said, shoulders relaxing slightly before he took another bite of bunny. He tensed slightly when he felt Minami press his nose against his neck, the other omega humming contently.

“You really do smell good.” Minami said, pulling away with a grin. “How long were you been on suppressants before this?”

“Two years.” Yuri mumbled, the realization that he and Viktor still hadn’t had that talk coming to mind. He had tried to bring it up a few times but the alpha had just changed the topic or had said that they still had time to discuss it and that he needed to focus on resting.

“Whoa.” Minami said before taking another apple slice. “What is it like?”

“What do you mean?” Yuri asked, chewing his next bite carefully.

“What are being on suppressants like?” Minami asked, smiling slightly when Yuri gave him a surprised look.

“You’ve never been on them?” Yuri asked.

“Nope. My parents never let me have them and I met Phichit and Alex right out of high school so I never really had the chance.” Minami explained with a shrug of his shoulders.

“Oh.” Yuri said quietly, looking down to the countertop. “Alex won’t let you have them?”

“Hm? Oh, I’ve never asked him.” Minami said. “I didn’t really see the need for them once I mated.”

“Right…” Yuri said, feeling his face heat up yet again. “They are helpful if you aren’t…it keeps heats from happening and blocks your scent so alphas leave you alone.”

“That sounds terrible.” Minami mumbled, sounding sad for some reason.

“Why?” Yuri asked, brows raising when he saw the light pink color now dusting Minami’s cheeks.

“Well, I mean…I like mine and Cole’s heats.” Minami admitted quietly. “And I couldn’t imagine them not being able to scent me. You aren’t able to smell alphas or beta’s either right?.”

“Nope.”

“I don’t think I could do that.” Minami muttered. “I don’t think I could go a day without being able to smell Cole, Alex, and Phichit.”

Yuri picked up another bunny apple slice but couldn’t bring himself to take a bite as he continued to stare down at the countertop. He wanted to be mad at Minami right now as he listened to the other omega confess his dislike for the one thing that had kept Yuri safe and sane for the past two years. The strange thing was he couldn’t, not when he put it like that. The thought of not being able to smell Viktor or Yuuri again caused his stomach to ache uncomfortably.

“Well I guess you must be stronger than me then!” Minami said happily before sliding off his barstool.

“I’m not.” Yuri muttered, finishing his apple slice before looking up at the omega who had appeared on his other side, a strange glint in his eye.

“Sure.” Minami said, dismissively waving his hand. “But I bet I’m faster at least!”

“So?” Yuri asked, tilting his head to the side. “What if you are?”

“Then I win!” Minami exclaimed happily.

“What?” Yuri asked, brows pulling together in confusion.

“Yuuuri, listen!” Minami said playfully, jumping from one foot to another. “If I win then you lose and you have to admit that you are stronger and I am faster!”

“What! No! That’s stupid!” Yuri said, crossing his arms over his chest.

“Well then I guess you are a chicken.” Minami said with a shrug, another grin tugging at his lips when Yuri narrowed his eyes at him.

“I am not.” Yuri said stubbornly, smiling when Minami wiggled his eyebrows at him teasingly.

“Well then we will play for that then.”

“For what?” Yuri asked, still just as confused as he was before.

“That you are a chicken!”

“I am not!” Yuri said, a strange giggle leaving the back of his throat.

“Then prove it!” Minami said, running to the other side of the island before running back to Yuri’s side.

“How?” Yuri asked, finally sliding off his chair to stand next to Minami who seemed to be bouncing with the most energy Yuri had seen anyone ever possess.

“Catch me!” Minami shouted before running around the kitchen island twice then out the open door.

Yuri couldn’t help but follow after him, another strange laugh bubbling from his chest as he tried to catch the back of Minami’s shirt as they sprinted up and down the hallway. Makkachin yipped happily as she joined them, Minami finally running out of the hall and into the living room.

“Minami!” Phcihit scolded once Yuri had finally followed him in, Makkachin at his heels.

“Oh they are fine, Phichit.” Yuuri said, his voice amused as Yuri and Minami made several circles around the couch he and the silver-haired alpha were sitting on.

“Don’t push yourself too hard now, Yuri!” Viktor called out, almost catching Yuri’s arm but the omega was able to dodge it at the last second. He jumped a few steps back from the alpha before playfully sticking out his tongue and continuing his chase once Yuuri had started to laugh.

“Minami, be careful.” Alex said from his seat in the love seat that faced the other couple. “Watch where you are going!” the alpha said, not able to hold back a laugh when Minami had to make a quick hop in order to miss the edge of a console table with his socked toe.

“One has no energy afterward while the other gains a fifty percent boost.” Phichit groaned from his spot, causing Yuuri and Viktor to laugh.

Yuri giggled as Minami jumped just out of his reach again, the other blonde sprinting across the floor to the other side of the living room. Makkachin continued to bark excitedly having caught up with Minami to weave in and out of the skater's legs as he counted to dodge Yuri’s hands.

“Chiiiicken!” Minami taunted playfully, his back now facing the small table where Yuuri and Viktor had set up the large flower arrangement from earlier. Makkachin jumped up against Minami excitedly once she had caught up to him again causing the omega to stumble backward and knock the large vase against the wall.

Yuri’s eyes widened as he watched the large vase tilt back down, the base wobbling back and forth dangerously as Minami quickly jumped away from having heard it crack against the wall.

Yuri jumped towards the table but the vase had already toppled over, water and flowers spilling onto the floor as it fell to the ground, the vase shattering once it landed. “Oh no…” Yuri whispered, eyes wide as he walked over to the mess. He knelt down beside the glass and flowers despite Yuuri and Viktor’s voice calling out his name.

“I’m so sorry!” Minami said, voice sounding slightly panicked as Yuri knelt down on the floor beside the mess. Wordlessly he began to gather the flowers up, not paying attention to how soaked his sweater was becoming as the water from the stems began to collect there. How could he have been so careless…so stupid? By following along with the stupid game he had ruined something that Yuuri had loved, something that had made the beta smile so beautifully.

“Yuri, don’t.” Yuuri said softly, the beta at his side now. “Oh, you are soaked.” the dark-haired man mused. “Are you hurt?” the beta asked, taking the bundle of flowers that Yuri had rescued away from him to place on the floor beside him.

“But-“ Yuri whimpered, frowning as Yuuri turned his hands over a few times to make sure he hadn’t gotten poked or sliced by any of the glass from the vase. “The flowers.” he continued trying to pull away from Yuuri to continue picking them up.

“Yuri, no.” Yuuri said, his voice sounding more firm that what the omega was used to.

“But-“

“It’s ok.” Yuuri shushed him, smiling when the omega finally looked up at him. “I’m more concerned about you hurting yourself than I am about this.” Yuuri said, gesturing to the mess on the floor.

“…Viktor got them for you though…I-“

“And he will get me more.” Yuuri said dismissively. “Come on, stand up.” Yuuri said softly before standing up and gently pulling Yuuri up to his feet.

“I’m sorry, Yuuri.” the omega whispered softly, the beta pausing for a moment to look at him as Phichit appeared to grab Minami by the arm and drag him away to the love seat he and Alex had been sitting on. “We shouldn’t have been doing that it was stupid and I ruined everything.”

“Oh, Yuri. You haven’t done anything wrong.” Yuuri whispered, gently cupping his hands around the omega’s face. “You were only playing. Things like this happen.”

“Playing?” Yuri echoed, confused that Yuuri was taking that the gift he had only received hours before had already been ruined so soon. “We shouldn’t have…we are adults we knew better I mean-“

“You are omegas, this is normal behavior.” Yuuri said patiently, leaning down to press a kiss against the omega’s forehead. “Why don’t you go change, hm?” the beta hummed, pressing a few more kisses against the top of the omega’s head before gently guiding him to the entrance of the hallway.

“Wait, at least let me clean it up-“ Yuri sputtered, frowning when Yuuri only shook his head and gave him another gentle push down the hallway.

——————————————————

“This is all Minami’s fault…” Yuri muttered beneath his breath, a soft sigh leaving his lips as he pulled the soaked sweater up and over his head. He knew technically that wasn’t true considering he had been wildly running around the apartment too in the stupid game of chase…but he didn’t want to admit he had been one of the main contributors to breaking the expensive-looking vase and scattering all of the fresh cut flowers that Yuuri seemed to have loved all over the carpeted floor.

“Hate to say it, but it normally is.” a soft voice spoke causing Yuri to release a squeak like noise in surprise. He whipped around, almost falling backward as he dropped the soaked sweater to the floor.

“Sorry.” Cole mumbled sleepily, reaching up with his right hand to rub the sleep from the eye that his fringe wasn’t covering. Yuri let out a breath of air he had sucked in moments before, his heart pounding against his chest. “You ok there?” the other omega asked, his accent thicker from what he had heard before.

“Yeah…I just didn’t know you were in here.” Yuri admitted before placing a hand over his beating heart. “I thought they might have put you in their room,” Yuri admitted, quickly crossing his arms over his chest after realizing he was standing before the platinum blond omega with exposed, scarred skin.

“Oh.” Cole said before reaching up above his head, stretching his back as he crossed his legs over one another on top of Yuri’s bed. “I think it’s because Alex would have a fit if there was another alphas scent all over me, especially since I just finished my heat.” the other omega explained, sending Yuri a small smile. “I didn’t mean to mess up your bed.”

“It’s fine.” Yuri said quickly, not wanting the soft-spoken omega to think he actually cared that he was in his room. He had just scared the shit out of him was all.

“So what in particular did he do this time?” Cole asked, tilting his head slightly as he waited for Yuri to answer. Yuri couldn’t help but compare him to a puppy, the little smile and wrinkle of the nose further adding to the omega’s cuteness factor.

“It's not really all his fault.” Yuri admitted, slowly walking across the room to the dresser against the back wall. He hoped Cole couldn’t really see his back considering he had walked into the room without turning on the light earlier.

“Did he start it?” Cole asked, his voice still soft. Yuri wondered if the other omega had ever even shouted at someone before. The last time he and Minami were here he had been soft-spoken then too.

“Sort of?” Yuri answered truthfully, remembering the argument that had spurned the whole game.

“Then it’s his fault.” Cole answered simply. “What did he break?” the other omega asked, a little sigh leaving him as if this was a normal occurrence.

“A vase,” Yuri answered before pulling out a drawer from his dresser. “But really it kind of broke when it crashed against the wall so…” he said with a small shrug, finally finding a sweater that didn’t have any cute animals screen printed on the front. He jumped once more when he felt something warm press against the small his back, his toe slamming against the bottom of the cherrywood dresser. “Shit.” Yuri cursed, his toe throbbing as he turned around, Cole blinking up at him with that one bright blue eye. How did the other omega even make it across the floor without him noticing?…and so fast?

“Sorry again.” Cole said softly, his eye glancing down to look over the marks covering Yuri’s chest.

“Don’t…” Yuri began, moving to cross his arms over his chest but stopped when gentle hands grabbed his wrist to prevent him from doing it.

“They aren’t new.” Cole whispered, glancing up at him for a few moments before returning to his examination, Yuri squirming to get away but the other omega seemed to have more strength than he gave him credit for as he kept his arms pinned down.

“No.” Yuri said softly, fearfully glancing towards his closed bedroom door. He didn’t want Yuuri or Viktor to walk in and see…well see him. He knew logically he had to look disgusting with all the scars standing out against his skin. “Please don’t look.” he begged, embarrassed that his voice sounded more like a whimper.

“Ok.” Cole said simply, letting go of his wrists before turning around and facing the other direction.

Yuri quickly pulled the sweater in his hands over his head, tugging the fabric all the way down his torso before sidestepping away from the other fast-moving omega. He eyed the back of the shorter male's head for a few moments trying to come up with the best explanation. He never really had to explain to anyone what they were before considering the one who had inflicted them didn’t care. His grandfather had never asked and had only given him sad looks when he would catch small glimpses here and there. Viktor and Yuri, bless them, had never brought it up after they got back from the hospital so Yuri liked to pretend they never saw anything. He knew he was giving himself false hope but maybe if they really hadn’t noticed…they wouldn’t see him for what he really was. Broken. Broken and so ugly that no alpha or beta would ever want to touch him if they saw the marks on his skin.

“Was it a belt or chain?” Cole whispered suddenly, pulling Yuri out of his dark thoughts.

“What?” Yuri asked, slightly confused.

“The mark on your back, was it a belt or a chain?” the other omega asked again. Yuri noticed the way Cole’s fingers trembled slightly at his sides, his right hand beginning to slowly clench and unclench repeatedly.

Yuri looked down to the carpet, frowning as he remembered the particular scar Cole was talking about, the one the other omega had touched just moments ago. “The end of a belt.” Yuri whispered, closing his eyes as the memory resurfaced.

Yuri was only a few days away from turning sixteen and had just began the second heat he had ever had. It seemed more intense than the last one he had had only two weeks before, more slick seemed to pool beneath him on the floor and the white-hot heat cramping at his belly more painful and frequent. He didn’t understand why his body had betrayed him a second time, no one had ever told him that heats could come so often. No one had prepared him for the constant want, no need, for something to touch him in spots he never thought he wanted anyone to touch. There were no books that described the god awful whines, yowls, and whimpers that tumbled from his mouth as he arched his back into the air, praying for a release he didn’t know how to give himself.

“Again with this, you little slut.” his father sneered, walking further down the basement steps towards him. He groaned as the scent of an alpha filled the air, flooding his senses with more want, crying out as his back arched once more in response.

“P-Please…” his own voice sounding strange to himself as he reached out towards the tall alpha walking towards him. “I c-can’t…” he groaned, another wave of sweltering heat settling over his body as he felt more slick ooze between his legs. The other alpha stared down at him and Yuri didn’t know why his father just stood there, watching him pant and moan, thrusting his hips in the air.

Suddenly he felt something heavy pressing against the front of his jeans, against the swollen head of his cock currently strained and trapped underneath damp boxer-briefs. “A-Ahh!’ Yuri cried out, his body arching and inner omega preening at the touch. In the back of his mind he knew this was wrong…this was his father after all. He shouldn’t be responding this way towards this man but he couldn’t control his body at all, it just reacted on it own.

“Disgusting, pathetic creature.” his father snarled, pulling his socked foot away from Yuri’s groin. “How dare you, you filthy little urchin.” his father growled, Yuri seeing stars as his father's foot connected with his head, sending him rolling across the floor with a loud cry.

“P-Please.” Yuri whimpered again, head now throbbing along with the heat that continued to roll across his body. “I d-didn’t mean to.” he tried, gasping in pain as he felt his father's belt slap against the exposed skin of his back. He couldn’t move as his father continued to land blow after blow to his lower back, his body aching with desire and now pain as he felt his skin begin to tear from the leather end of the alphas belt. “S-stop.” he groaned, screaming in pain as he felt the cool metallic part of the buckle of the belt slam against the already breaking skin.

“Yuri.”

Yuri blinked, eyes refocusing on Cole who was facing him once again, a worried expression on his pale face. Something wet sliding down his cheek caught his attention, his face flushing as he realized he must have started to cry for some reason. He flinched when Cole’s gentle fingers wiped away the stray tears from his face.

“I- I’m sorry.” Yuri said, taking a step back from him and hiding his face behind his hands as he tried to regain his composure. He didn’t know why he had suddenly spaced out like that…and to go to that memory of all things. He was pretty sure Cole thought he was a freak now, crying like a baby for no reason.

“It’s ok.” Cole said softly, his hands gently circling around Yuri’s wrists to pull them from his face. “You can cry.” the omega said, tilting his head to the side as Yuri sniffled.

“But it’s…stupid I shouldn’t.” Yuri mumbled, turning his face away from the other omega.

“I cry sometimes too,” Cole admitted, shoulders drooping slightly. “Can I show you something?” he asked suddenly causing Yuri to glance back at him.

“What?” Yuri asked, blinking as Cole lifted the hem of the dark green sweater he was wearing up. The shorter omega turned slightly so that the other omega could see his side and Yuri couldn’t stop the gasp that tumbled out of his mouth at the sight.

Along Cole’s side was the perfect indention of a chain link rope, the outline curling all the way around his waist and further down his hip that was covered by the top of his pants. The marks were deep and a dark pink color where the new skin must have grown and where the chain must have rubbed and pulled constantly at his skin. Other little scars littered the omegas pale skin as well though not as deep and angry looking as the one that Cole had on display.

“I cry about this one a lot.” Cole admitted, finally pulling his sweater back down and smoothing out the wrinkles with shaking hands. “So it's okay if you cry too, you know?” Cole said, giving Yuri a sad little smile. A smile that Cole’s pretty face shouldn’t know how to make.

Yuri’s mind began to whirl, his whole world stopping for a moment as he tried to process what he just saw. How could this to have happened to someone like Cole? He was sweet and so quiet and had Alex and Phichit to…

“A-Alex?!” Yuri suddenly gushed, eyes widening as the image of the muscular alpha wrapping Cole up in a rusty chain came to mind, fear replaced with anger. “Did he-"

“No.” Cole said firmly, shaking his head. “He would never,” Cole whispered sadly, looking down to the floor for a moment. “That’s how he found me though," The omega uttered, his bottom lip trembling slightly before he continued. “He was the one who had to…” Cole stopped for a moment, his breath stuttering as it seemed he was trying to control his breathing. “He had to dig them out.”

“Cole…” Yuri whispered, a hand raising to cover his mouth. He didn’t know what to say or how to react. There was nothing he could do to help him. The damage was already done and now Yuri was looking at the trembling aftermath. “I can go get Phichit-“

“No, please don’t,” Cole whispered quickly, his face desperate as he looked up at him. “I didn’t mean to freak you out or anything I just…I just wanted you to know it was ok.” Cole mumbled softly. “If you go get them they are going to make me take my meds and I hate those things so much.” the omega said, shaking his head slightly.

“What can I do then?” Yuri whispered, reaching out awkwardly to place his hands on Cole’s shoulders gently. He had never comforted someone before, never really seen another person besides his grandfather cry. Yuri wasn’t in his element here but he was willing to try. Cole didn’t deserve to go through whatever it was he was going through alone, though it was odd he didn’t want to go to Pichit and Alex considering he was mated to them. Yuri thought back to all the medication he had to take this morning and felt a pang of sympathy for the other omega when he thought about going to find them anyway.

“Just stay with me for a second, I’ll be ok.” Cole said, leaning forward to rest his head on Yuri’s shoulder. “

“Ok.” Yuri said quietly, moving his arms so that they now loosely encircled the shorter male. He pulled Cole to his chest slowly, placing his hand on the back of his head. “I’ll do anything…you just got to tell me ‘cause I have no idea how to do this right.” Yuri admitted, smiling slightly when Cole gave a soft snort of laughter in return. The sweet fresh smell of peppermint and strawberry seemed to be the shorter omega’s scent, the smell making Yuri think of the tea parties that served little pastries.

“You are doing better than I did.” Cole whispered, the shaking in his fingers lessening as he continued to lean against Yuri. “When Phichit first gave me a hug I bit him.”

Yuri blinked, trying to imagine the sweet and gentle Cole biting the taller skater. “Bit him?” he asked, stroking the soft hair at the back of the omega’s head. “Why?”

“I freaked out, like majorly,” Cole admitted through another snort like laughter. “No one had ever done that and I thought…” the omega trailed off for a moment. “Well I thought he was trying to do something else.”

“Oh.” Yuri said, biting his bottom lip as he tried to figure out what that meant. He frowned when Cole finally pulled away from him, watching as the other omega scrubbed at his face, sniffling softly. “You didn’t really freak me out.” Yuri said after a moment. “I just didn’t know how to umm, well I guess react?”

“Yeah, I get that a lot.” Cole said with a shrug. “Well, not a lot I guess. Minami REALLY freaked out when I showed him.”

“Really?” Yuri asked, eyes raking over the rest of Cole’s short frame. He wondered what else could be hiding under the long sleeves and pants. His heart ached for him and he wanted nothing more than to find the bastard that did this to Cole and take him down. The overwhelming need that suddenly bubbled up in the pit of his stomach alarming him for a moment.

“Mhmm. I thought I had messed up really bad when I showed him.” Cole said before looking down to pick imaginary lint from his pants leg.

“What do you mean?” Yuri asked, watching as Cole slowly stood up straight again, his breathing seemed to be almost back to normal and his hands had stopped shaking altogether now.

“Well, I had taken a chance when I did show him. See, I was scared that once he saw things… he wouldn’t want me.” Cole said, jumping slightly along with Yuri when a gentle knock tapped against the closed bedroom door.

“Yuri?” Yuuri called out, voice softer than normal making Yuri realize he was trying not to wake what he thought was a sleeping Cole.

“Y-Yeah?” he called out normally, scrubbing his face to make sure there were no more tears. He reached over to wipe at Cole’s face as well, smiling when the other omega leaned into his touch.

“Are you alright?” the beta asked, voice slightly louder now since Yuri had answered in a normal tone. “You’ve been in there a while…are you having trouble finding something to wear?”

“Oh, uh, no.” Yuri sputtered, glancing at Cole who seemed mostly put together now. “I was just talking to Cole.” he said, not completely lying after all. He quickly pulled on the long-sleeved tee he had found earlier, Cole helping him smooth out the wrinkles.

“May I come in?” Yuuri asked, patiently waiting for a response as Yuri glanced at Cole who nodded at him.

“Yeah.” he called out, smiling slightly as Yuuri opened and walked through the door. The beta’s face lit up with his own smile when his eyes came across them, the beta turning the light on in the room considering all they were going by was the light coming in from the bedroom window.

“What were you two doing in the dark?” Yuuri asked before walking across the floor, right up to Yuri who looked away from him once the beta began to mess with the front of his shirt, making the collar laid flat against his shoulders and fixing the other rumples in the soft material with a soft hum.

Cole only shrugged with a sweet smile in return which caused Yuuri to chuckle softly, the beta’s fingers gently tucking a few strands of hair that had come loose back into the braid on the right side of Yuri's head.

“Well we have the glass cleaned up so it's okay to come back to the living room unless you wanted to keep napping Cole?” Yuuri asked, pressing a gentle kiss to Yuri’s forehead as he waited for a response. Yuri felt the back of his neck heat up in response but he didn’t pull away even when the beta planted a few more against his skin.

Cole shook his head and slowly walked out of the bedroom ahead of them, head bowed slightly. Yuri wondered how long it took him to not look at the floor constantly, his own head drooping to that level once the other omega had left his sight.

“Yuri?” the beta asked, his tone of voice slightly concerned. “Is there something wrong?”

“No.” Yuri said quietly, lifting his head towards the door when he heard Alex’s loud voice boom across the apartment. Cole must have made his way straight for his alpha. He felt his brows pull together as he thought. Did Cole go to Alex because he wanted to, or because he had to? They were mated after all and dynamics mated for life once they were bonded.

Yuri let the beta steer him out the room and down the hallway, not bothering to push him away as he led him to the couch where Viktor sat. He sat down wordlessly next to the silver-haired alpha, not growling when Viktor’s hand found his and interlaced their fingers together.

“My sweet boy,” Alex said happily, Yuri noticing that Cole had found his place on Alex’s lap. Minami was still pouting in his seat next to Phichit, probably still sore he had gotten an ear full from his beta earlier but Yuri saw the little smile he sent Cole and Alex’s way once the other omega began to giggle happily. Alex was busy showering Cole’s face and shoulder with kisses, his own chuckles loud and happy as the omega continued to squirm and giggle on his lap.

Yuri watched for a while, his eyes glancing at Cole’s side where he knew a dark secret was hidden, much like his own scars were. Cole said he had taken a chance with Minami…but then again he would have had to have taken a chance with Phichit and Alex too if they had actually mated right? Did that mean that omegas like Cole…like himself could find something like the other omega had?

After another few minutes of breathless giggles and what Yuri could have sworn was purring, Alex finally relented in his kisses allowing the omega in his lap to take in deep full breaths once more before situating him to where he could wrap both his arms around him and pull him against his chest.

“Did you have a good nap?” Alex asked softly, smiling at Minami when the other omega finally decided to scoot over and press his own kisses to Cole’s cheeks, lips, and the tip of his nose. Pichit looked enamored by the three, seeming to be content by just watching.

Yuri glanced at Viktor and Yuri, but they weren’t watching the display of affection directly in front of him. They had their eyes on him and it caused the flush from his neck to travel to the tips of his ears. He looked down at his lap once he felt Yuuri’s fingers intertwine with his free hand, Viktor’s large hand squeezing around the other one.

Cole had found people to accept him for whatever had happened to him, was it too absurd to have hope that maybe, just maybe, he could find that with Viktor and Yuri?

Yuri didn’t like the way the elevator operator smelled, the whole carriage saturated with the smell of stale cigarette smoke and the strange twang of vinegar. He heard Cole’s little cough, knowing the other omega must have been able to smell it too and he had to wonder if this was actually the way the alpha smelled or if it was just the remnants of what he had for lunch. Minami had suddenly stopped bouncing on the balls of his feet and his stance was stiff as he stood beside Cole. The skater had a protective arm wrapped around Cole and his eyes were set on the closed doors in front of him as the elevator continued to descend towards the lobby.

So Minami could feel the weird awkward pressure that he was feeling too? Yuri took a chance and glanced at the red-headed alpha, the breath catching in the back of his throat once he realized that the alpha had been staring straight at him instead of in front like he always had done when Viktor had been with him.

“Why are we going to the basement floor, we said eleven,” Minami spoke, causing the alpha to glance in the other alphas direction.

“Oh my goodness, you are right.” Erik said, his voice sounding sickeningly sweet. Yuri felt himself swallow nervously, the look in the alphas eye causing his stomach to churn nervously.

“P-Please take us back to floor eleven.” Minami pleaded, his voice shaky as the elevator kept descending past the first basement floor. “We have to get back to our alphas.”

“Oh, I’m sure they won’t miss you for a while yet.” Erik sneered, a grin on his angular face. “Besides, what is Viktor thinking keeping an unmated omega around here without marking him?…Smelling like this?”

Yuri felt his stomach drop uncomfortably as Erik took a step closer to him. He stepped back, feeling Minami grab his hand and pull him closer to his side.

“Don’t touch him!” Minami growled, the sound vibrating around the little enclosed room. “You aren’t courting him.” Makkachin began to growl having picked up on the three omegas sudden panic. Yuri noticed another scent filling the elevator then, something that made his stomach churn even more.

“No, but it doesn’t seem like Viktor or Yuri are either so…I would consider it a fair hunt.”

“Minami.” Cole whimpered from behind them, his voice sounded broken and scared spurning Yuri to square his shoulders and glare up at the alpha who was now visibly licking his lips as he stared down at him.

“Fuck off!”
