Present
"Front row tickets?" He reads the tickets that have been shoved to his face by Jennie. "Yes, Jaewon spent a total of $10,000 for this tickets, not only did he lose me but he lost his money too."
"But why front seats?" "Duh, I love Dead Roses, Do you not even listen to me when I fangirl about them" Taeyong raised both eyebrows which caused Jennie to flick his forehead.
"So what do you say? Who knows you might be able to meet your one true love at the concert" Jennie smirks as she lightly pushes his shoulders. "impossible, my one true love is the front man of Dead Roses" Taeyong wanted to say out loud. He smiled at himself as he thought of the word "True Love"
"Hello? earth to Taeyong?" Jennie snaps her finger after seeing Taeyong space out "Ya, sorry, ya sure I'm down." Jennie furrows her eyebrows,
"Wonderful, this calls for a celebration." The brunette claps, then reaches for Taeyong's wallet from her chanel bag and takes out some money.
"Hey who said I'm treating?" "Your concert ticket is already for free, might as well pay for our food. And this is what you get for not bringing a bag." Taeyong rolled his eyes as a response, and told Jennie to go away to order the food. He hears her heels clack on the floor as she walks away to order. Sitting down, he takes out his phone and texts Doyoung.
"I'm seeing Jaehyun."
"What? hyung, it's only been 2 years?"
"No, I meant he's on tour, Jen got both of us tickets."
"Gosh, well the stadium is large, it's not like he will see you."
"About that."
"Don't tell me you got front seat tickets."
"I'm not saying anything then."
"OMG HYUNG?"
"ttyl"
"HYUNG!" Taeyong shuts his phone, he can already hear Doyoung nagging his head.
Next day
Jennie sits in the room with Doyoung and Johnny as they wait for Taeyong. Ever since the band had disbanded, Jennie and Taeyong finally had time to catch up and continue right where they left of before Taeyong debuted. Of course Jennie had became friends with Johnny and Doyoung. Doyoung and Jennie was the Tom and Jerry of the group, of course the 96 liners. The two would always bicker but Taeyong would still pray that they stop teaming up against him. Doyoung had always been sassy, but the second Jennie opens her mouth Doyoung will always be speechless after her insult, of course you can't beat the queen herself.
Jennie was kind of the replacement of Jaehyun for Johnny. The only difference is that Johnny grew a crush on Jennie. He always found her special, probably because she was one of the only girl he was friends with. She was also sweet and she could speak english well which Johnny found attractive. He knew she could rap, sing and dance, he often wondered why she never chose to be an idol. Sometimes, he hoped she would notice him as someone more than her brother-like figure.
"What do you mean Taeyong is meeting Jaehyun? He's coming back?" Doyoung scrunches his nose as Johnny suddenly spoke loudly which caused Jennie to get frightened. Johnny apologized.
"Shh, hyung." Doyoung slapped Johnny's arm which caused the tall man to wince in pain. "Jaehyun? that's the name of the guy I like from Dead Roses." Jennie smiled. "Dead Roses? You listen to them?" Jennie nods her head. "Definitely, plus me and yongie are going to see them in the next 2 days. Front row tickets too baby." Johnny gasps. "Why yong? I thought you were going with Jaewon." Jennie bites her bottom lip. "Ah, no, um we broke up. And I'll go with Taeyong as revenge." Jennie chuckles. "Oh really? sorry about that though." They send an apologetic look. Jennie slowly nods. "So? who's this Jaehyun guy? And Taeyong's going to see him?" Doyoung and Johnny exchange eye contact with Doyoung slowly shaking his head, knowing Johnny would tell Jennie everything since Johnny likes the chick. "Please tell me, I won't tell anyone not even Taeyong." Doyoung sighs and pushes Johnny as a sign for him to tell the story.
"That Jaehyun is the Jaehyun from Dead Roses. He used to be with us in Blazed Out, but by the time our contract expire he flew to US as he got signed by a big label over there." Jennie clicks her tongue. "Damn, he did y'all dirty like that. So what's wrong if Taeyong sees him? plus there's like 50,000 more people in the stadium."
"You see um, Jaehyun and Taeyong used to date, well are still dating? I don't know." confusion evident in his voice. "Holy shit, so you're telling me Taeyong had a hottie of a boyfriend or something this whole time while I've been screwing with boys here and there?" Johnny scratches his head not knowing how to reply. "Oh my gosh, and I'm taking him to see Jaehyun and wer'e front seats also? oh my poor baby, should I just cancel it?" Jennie grabs her phone getting ready to text Taeyong . Doyoung shakes his head. "Don't, we shouldn't let Taeyong know that we told you. And it's just for one day so just get over with it. And if Taeyong didn't really wanted to go he would've said no to you."
"Wait, so why are you guys confused if they're dating or not? Did they even break up?"
"Kinda?" Jennie raises one eyebrow. "What do you mean kinda? It's either a yes or no if they broke up"
"Fine, before Jae left for US the two decided to take a break for 3 years. During those 3 years, Jaehyun would have a career and see if he wants to fully settle down in US. If he changes his mind, he would come back here and him and Taeyong would settle down." Jennie takes in the information "Just like that?", She asks. "Just like that." Doyoung sharply nods, leaning his back to his seat
"Ok, that is so?, Jennie blinks rapidly, "Selfish? I know, when I see Jaehyun I will for sure punch him." Johnny buds in. "That is selfish, but why would Taeyong agree? Taeyong is not even trying to grow a career here while Jaehyun is being successful and Taeyong is spending everyday waiting for him to come back? Johnny you don't need to punch him, I will make sure his life is a living hell the seconds he comes back."
"Weren't you just fangirling over him a while ago?" Doyoung crosses his arms "Stupid, I didn't even know any of this, Taeyong don't not say anything at all. No wonder he hasn't been himself ever since I asked him to go to the concert with me. Damn, I feel bad for him though, why would he agree with this in the first place. Johnny you go punch Taeyong instead." Which caused Johnny to chuckle.
"Taeyong loves him, that's why. And when he loves, he loves hard." Doyoung blurts out.
"I heard Jaehyun's side of the story too, he loves Taeyong as much as Taeyong loves him, that's why they're just taking a break. Jaehyun was young, reckless and stubborn. Trust me when I say I really tried to change his mind. Honestly, if It wasn't for me Jaehyun would have just left without saying anything." Johnny sighs, remembering the amount of times he tried to talk to Jaehyun as a hyung. Also remembering the time he pissed Jaehyun off and the younger said harsh things.
"Stop trying to rule my life. You're just my band mate, not my older brother. Bye Johnny." Johnny flinches as he heard the door bang. The older had just tried to convince Jaehyun to think of other options. No matter what, the dimpled boy will always be stubborn.
"Their love story was beautiful too, gosh it was perfect. Not going to lie, if I was in Taeyong shoes I'd do the same." Doyoung quickly looked at Johnny as he said those lines. "And I think Taeyong should see Jaehyun, for proper closure."
"You think they're going to break up? like for real?" Johnny and Doyoung both shake their head in unison. "Like Doons said, Taeyong loves hard. I think he's still in love with Jaehyun. Just attend the concert normally, and try to leave as quickly as possible. As I said, Jaehyun is stubborn and reckless, who knows what type of shit he will pull." Jennie nods her head, the instructions were crystal clear
Their intense conversation gets cut as they see the pretty boy enter. "Hey, wow, did you guys have a meeting or something? Why does it looks so tense?" "Yongie, you're back! and don't worry about it we were just talking shit about you." Jennie says as she jumps down from the tower speakers she was sitting on. She sticks her tongue out to tease him and she reaches for the grocery bags taeyong had brought and prepares the table for the boys. He rolls his eyes and glares at Doyoung who was laughing.
