When the water in his small, secluded village abruptly runs dry, aspiring Adventurer and inventor Midoriya Izuku is selected, alongside his soulmate, to embark on a perilous journey across the desert in order to restore it. Izuku is excited at the chance to prove himself, but there's a problem: his soulmate is Bakugou Katsuki, who is as talented and impressive as he is arrogant- and who wants nothing to do with Izuku at all.

But as they say, life goes on, and Izuku has to move forward. Tenko even told him to do his damn best wherever he goes. He knows he’s finally at peace, probably even living a new life somewhere else, yet deep inside, he couldn’t allow himself to move on. If only Izuku tried harder, then maybe he would have been able to save Tenko Shimura. That was the duty of a hero, right?
2 months after Izuku rejected Katsuki's offer to join his agency, the latter ghosts him, Izuku is unable to explain his true reasons as to why he did.
Luckily, a push from Ochako and a chance encounter brings them back together once more. -

Summary
Deku and Dynamight go on a mission abroad, and it goes a bit wrong. They stopped the villain, sure, but came our black and blue, and the small local hospital just doesn't have the capacity to keep anyone overnight that doesn't truly need it.
The weather isn't helping, either. In fact its so bad all flights back home - all flights anywhere, really - have been cancelled.
Cue Katsuki trying to look after an exhausted and injured Izuku while pining like a motherfucker. Wonder if his luck will turn around before the end of the story... Oh, and look! There's only one bed...

Izuku was in rough shape, and Katsuki was seething.
Leave it to the nerd to put himself at risk to save others - again. Katsuki loved that about him, sure; his commitment to saving everyone he possibly can. His heroic heart, too big for this world.
But fuck, sometimes Izuku took such unnecessary risks that Katsuki wanted to throttle him – or hold him safe in his arms like a cocoon.
