Five years had passed since any of them had been back to the ice rink, and Adrien had no idea what he was doing.
Lately, everything had been overwhelming. From eating to studying, from lawyers to friends, from getting out of bed to putting on his shoes, Adrien felt like he was pushing through sludge. Even the simplicity of breathing felt like a chore. And as much as he tried to hide it, Marinette knew him better than that. She was his partner, his first friend, his long-time girlfriend. And Luka and Kagami knew him better than that, too.
Surely, the truth wouldn't continue to choke him for forever.
