Aether crouched with his knees hugged to his chest, curiously observing the flowering bushes. Healthy, round blossoms nestled against heart-shaped leaves; the sight of the plush blue petals told the blond that these gardens were very well-cared for. The hydrangeas, though they looked slightly different from the ones that typically bloomed in his home, were equally as beautiful if not more.
The very thought made him bitter.
Aether wanted to feel disgusted. He wanted to find at least something about this place that was evil and detestable; he wanted to find the Kamisato head to be a horrible, indecent person so at least he could find an excuse to stay angry. He wanted to have some kind of scapegoat, a source of abominability that he could place blame on for his suffering.
