George, the only heir to the Sea King, has lived an easy life. Having had years to perfect the art of slipping away unnoticed, he's spent every free moment exploring shipwrecks and coral reefs, his best (and only) friend, Sapnap, by his side. With such a picturesque life, he would have been content to spend his days exploring the seas with Sapnap. But when his friend is stricken with a disease which has no cure, George's entire livelihood has been shattered. Desperate for any hope, he consulates a sea witch, who alludes to a possible remedy for his friend. But for the spell to work, he will require the love of a human.

Of course, Tommy doesn’t listen. Acting like Dream’s the crazy one.
It’s a tiring argument they have every day.
Tommy glares up at him with a steely determination, arms already crossed, “I wanna see him.”
It leaves no room for refusal.

Georgie swam a bit closer, grabbing onto the rock next to Dream with one small, tan hand. Dream thought, momentarily, she was going to pull herself up on land, but she didn’t. “You’re not supposed to be here. They’ll let people swim and bring their boats out and whatever, but you’re not supposed to dock.” She sounded a bit reproachful.
Dream shrugged ruefully. “I won’t tell if you won’t?”
“I won’t tell if you tell me what you’re doing here,” Georgie amended. “Tell me.” Her voice was a bit bossy, in a way that could have been annoying, but Dream found it mostly to be a bit…not charming. But she felt a rush of affection at it.
