We can’t, Harry almost spits, but it’d be stupid of him. Louis knows they can’t. Even if he looks like any regular Parisian in their twenties, and Harry looks like any hipster Parisian in their twenties, they can’t anyway. To be fair, they probably wouldn’t do it even if they were out. But if they were two uni students, both in Paris for an exchange, meeting over fallen books at the library, or because of mutual friends, or watching Monet’s Water Lilies?
“How would we dance?” Harry murmurs, mouth almost pressed to Louis’ cheek, so close he can feel his warmth. What a picture they must make, two millionaires freezing in a park and dreaming of a different life.

Harry had stared in awe, eyes wide as she looked up at Louis who was still hovering in front of her. Louis had stared back for a moment, and Harry remembers wanting to memorize the color of her eyes, the exact shade of blue, just in case they never got to interact again. It feels a bit like every cliché Harry has read in the Muggle books she grew up to, from the lighthearted fairytales Anne told her at nights to the Young Adult novels she snuck from Gemma’s shelf at the age of eleven. Seconds stretching into minutes, the rest of the world screeching to a pause, as though she’s under a spell.
Which, now that she thinks about it, isn’t too far off. Magic is real, after all.
And then Louis had winked at her, breaking the spell and setting everything back into motion, before flying off and leaving Harry flushed and just a little breathless.

Inspired by this prompt: Harry lives with Gemma who happens to have the worst best friend in the world. The guy stays over almost every night, is completely messy and has bad manners that would cause Harry's eyes to roll so far back he sees his brain. Gemma leaves for a month, Louis moves in. Harry can't stand him and some way, they still end up sharing a bed almost every night because of a thunder storm that happened weeks ago. It doesn't necessarily mean they stopped hating each other, until it does. And if Louis has always had a crush on Harry, is his fault for not expressing it well and allowing him to think that Louis hated him in the first place.
