Now understanding that they really were serious, he started to realize just how committed they were to get sinners redeemed. Especially the princess- to a concerning amount. She had spent so much time and effort preparing for the interview and making the hotel more welcoming to new sinners. With all that going to waste, the poor princess’s optimism had taken a massive hit.
Was Angel partly at fault? Maybe. But honestly what were they expecting? Did they really think that he was the type of person to be a good pick for something as stupid as redemption? There was no need for him to feel guilty.
It didn’t help that Charlie looked like a kicked puppy. A kicked puppy that was currently shivering, nose red and eyes glassy from high fever in her bed.
