Bio
Hi everyone. I'm Inter, and I write stuff sometimes. I'm also working on lots of mental health issues at the moment. I probably won't respond to comments or messages, just know that I read and smile at every one.
It's been three long years since I began posting on AO3 (with questionable results :p), and I've struggled with dark times during those years. Here's some important writer's lessons I've learned from the darker moments:
Write for yourself and no one else.
If you aren't enjoying yourself, stop. Come back later.
Never write from a place of fear or frustration. Learn to look for the subtle symptoms of those emotions.
Forgive yourself and move on.
Share your writing with people you trust, but only when you're ready.
The act of creation is exhausting; be gentle with yourself.
It's great to see facets of yourself in a character, but don't identify with them completey.
Your writing will never sound like (insert author here)'s, nor should it.
Write down everything, no matter how stupid it sounds in the moment. Editing kills creativity.
You are always growing, even when it feels like you aren't.
Write for yourself. No one else.
