Chapter Text
In a world of people who had the privilege of having a quirk Izuku Midoriya hadn't gotten his yet. He didn't have the extra toe joint that would make him quirkless though, he was just a late bloomer. The doctors said if he didn't manifest a quirk by his seventh birthday then it would be hopeless to manifest one after. He didn't listen to any of the doubts, criticism or bullies. He kept pushing forward and kept believing that he would get a quirk.
Izuku was twelve two years ago and he still had not given up on his quirk even though he was registered as quirkless.
Two years ago...
Izuku was being led somewhere by his hair. The perpetrator was one of his bullies, Kai. Izuku was trying not to cry at the pain of his hair being pulled. A door slammed open and Izuku realized that he was on the roof of the school.
"Maybe you should do everyone a favor and die! In fact, maybe I can help you with that!" Kai exclaimed and dragged him over to the side of the roof. They stopped at the side and fear surged through the cinnamon roll as Kai let go of his hair and shoved him towards the ledge. Izuku tried to stand his ground.
"You quirkless mother fucker! Just do everyone a favor and die!" Kai screeched and gave one last huge push and Izuku went toppling over the edge.
"KACCHAN!!!" The green eyed boy screamed as his his entire life and all his memories flashed in an instant.
Izuku and his best friend playing on the playground when they were kids, Izuku and his mom at Christmas time opening presents, Izuku protecting his friends from someone more powerful than them, blowing out candles on his birthday, play dates with Kacchan, happy memories and sad memories jumbled together and a newfound burst of light surged with energy as he fell. Before he could connect with the ground he stopped and a cloud of dust surrounded him.
On the outside of the cloud his classmates would have seen a pure bright light within the dust and it dimmed. As soon as the dust cleared a kid that was previously thought to be quirkless but now he was bent over himself suspended in air. He had bright wings that looked as if they were made out of light but they were actually just a pure white, his hair was hovering above his head but the color was a golden color, his eyes were pure black and his pupil's were a bright green but his irises were a light gray. His freckles were still there but they were a lighter color.
But his classmates all went home so there wasn't anyone else there. Kai had already left so no one saw his quirk manifest. He waited a while after he deactivated his quirk to see if his best friend Kacchan heard his cry for help but no one came. He guessed that his explosive friend went home. He went home and kept his quirk a secret from his mom, started training himself in all forms of fighting and self defense. He was a fast learner so he picked them up easily. He even made himself his own hero costume and went out every night to patrol the city and came back every night before his mom woke up and tended to his wounds that he got from all the fights but luckily for him he healed faster than before thanks to his angelic quirk. For the next two years his night life was spent being a vigilante and his life during the day was spent as a middle school student. Kai kept bullying him and he kept getting ridiculed as a useless, quirkless nobody.
The next two years were hell but they were worth it because the entrance exams to U.A. were getting closer and he would be ready for it.
