It was a quiet night in seiran’s dormitory, until Suzu woke up with a big realization at 3 in the morning.
“OH MY GOD YOU GUYS!” She screamed, “WE WERE DOING THINGS THE WRONG WAY BACK AT SEISHO!”
“what” said Hisame, still half asleep, and with no idea where Suzu’s was going with this.
“Remember when we visited seisho? And tried to steal Starlight, and Mahiru and the others? We were doing it the wrong way”
Suzu’s explanation was met with silence for a few seconds
“Suzu, please tell me you didn’t just figure this out” Koharu liked to consider herself a reasonable human being, but right now she also considered within her rights to murder Suzu for interrupting her beauty sleep for something this stupid.
“Were you not paying attention when we joined forces with them to fight the evil murder mannequins? That were apparently a more harder version then seisho’s usual murder mannequins” Hisame asked “Wait, did Nana ever tell us why seisho has so many murder mannequins?”
Koharu remembered Maya’s bloodthirsty face as she tore down the chorus, and Junna’s glee as she commented mid-fight how much she loved the school, and how the usually quiet Hikari agreed with that sentiment. “Seisho is a school for feral stage girls” was her only explanation.
“No no no, I get that we were wrong in trying to steal starlight from seisho!” Suzu said “And we all fixed our childhood friendships and learned some valuable and heartwarming lessons in communication”
And Tendou Maya learned one terrible lesson in a way to get her girlfriend’s attention. Koharu thought, but decided not to say.
“But the thing is if we wanted to get starlight for ourselves to perform, together with a handful of the people from seisho” Suzu continued explaining ”we should have lost the fight and moved to seisho”
“what” said Hisame again, but this time both more awake and more in disbelief
“Look, they are supposed to do Starlight again this year anyway, it’s would be easier if we were deciding this thing in a fight - which is not the right way to do this anyway,” Suzu added “but you know, if that’s how we were doing it, it would be easier for us three to lose and go to seisho and do starlight with them, then win all the fights so we can get not only the rights to starlight but also like at least six other people to go to our school to perform with us”
“But if we all lost then we would not be able to perform the play” HIsame said, moving up from her bed to lay in Suzu’s bed, destroying Koharu’s hope that this stupid argument would end up soon and she would be able to get back to sleep
“No, if we all lost, then seiran would not be able to perform it, but we would be seisho students and seisho still gets to perform it!”
“Yeah, but there would be twelve of us, so we can’t all be named characters, that’s not a guaranteed that the three of us would get a part just because we are in the same class”
Koharu thought that maybe the two of them would get too into their stupid argument that they would not realize that she went back to sleep. But they started getting too loud to ignore, she needed a way to make them stop. Maybe if she found a flaw big enough in Suzu’s idea.
“Girls wait” Koharu hoped this would work “was it ever stated that if we lost we would have to go to seisho ? Because I think that for their part they just wanted to save the rights to perform their play”
For a few seconds it was quiet again in the dormitory. And Koharu thought this was the end of it, and turned back to bed and tried to go back to sleep.
She was almost there but then “Well that’s stupid of them for not betting on something nicer if they won”
