Work Text:
with a few books held slightly tight at your chest, the night skylines made contact with the softness of your skin. music raised higher along with fast steps accompanying it, your body felt like it was bouncing while your fast paced movements got you places quicker.
your thoughts nicely popped through, the general thought of hope that peick got home safe frequently occurred. peick was quite smart, you had no doubt she’d be okay but it’s human nature to slightly worry if your friend is okay on a night walk home.
too caught up in your caring nature of thoughts, your eyes missed the slender figure that walked its way towards you.
“oh god please don’t talk to me” you uttered under your voice, hating social interaction and the thought of a male at night didn’t feel the greatest to you.
drifting your body further from the figure you practically was walking against the wall yet the pair of you still made contact.
his body brushed against yours taking you aback,
“i’m sorry!” he urgently replied, his nimble fingers turning off his phone and sliding it down into his pockets to get a better view of you.
“it’s okay,” tone low, you avoided eye contact of any type, abiding by social rules.
“well you’re pretty” the guy sung at you, the city lights made orange hues grace his face, the crystal azure colour dimming due to the shade of lights softly cascading on his skin. The warmth of the city night fell upon the two of you;you could feel the eyes of the skyline stare at you while they flashed. along with the guys eyes icing you down, prying at your skin causing the feeling of you crawling back into your skin.
“i’m Armin by the way” he continued, his lean frame blocking your path, his hands scuffed in his pockets fumbling waiting for your prolonged answer. “ i know who you are, i’m in your philosophy class. ” your tone of voice grew low due to the heavy hold he had you on, the anticipation for an answer he lingered for. your replies stayed quick in hopes you’d avoid any long conversation but he just kept answering and asking.
“no way, i’d know if a pretty girl like you was there” armin followed up, the way he sunk a compliment sent little chills of excitement down your spine earning a small smile off your face.
“maybe if you spent less time flirting around you’d take them to realise your peers” you snapped, stepping slightly closer. his heavy scent wrapping against you; the musk smell mixed with hints of mint clung at you.
“snappy. i like that, so what’s your name?”
his eyes twinkled with his words, his elbow leaning on the wall stopping your path. surely if this was anyone else you’d be slightly creeped out, and slightly is an extreme understatement. however, his whole attitude towards you was sweet, his body kept a safe distance from you his stance slightly wide trying his hardest not to intimidate you.
“y/n” playing off the awkwardness you felt, you sent him a smile while you also leaned onto the wall.
“well y/n, take this” a piece of paper stayed in his pocket, his number written over it. unlike most guys armin took pride in his hand writing, even though it was just numbers they were clear as day along with a little smiley face on the end.
“what you just keep a bunch of these for whenever you see a pretty girl?” scoffing at him, playing the nonchalant role so smooth.
“so you agree you’re pretty?” he asked back, smiling at you he turned out allowing your path to be clear once again and also allowed you to watch him walk away.
“see you later angel” you watched as armins slender figure saluted and disappear around a corner. once he was out of sight, your back slumped at the wall your face allowing the blood to rush towards it since he was gone. your books laid at your chin while you smiled like a 6th grader who just had her first kiss.
taking a deep inhale and allowing yourself to feel, you walked down the street slowly strutting the thought of armin running in your brain.
days went by since you first encountered the blond boy. everyday you walked past his perfectly crafted note, you stared at it so much you could recite his number back and fourth. you couldn’t expect him to text you, he didn’t have your number nor did you have any lectures that week so it all laid in your hand.
returning from another day out with pieck, and some liquid courage still swirling in you. you made the courageous decision to text armin, who knows if he even remembered your little encounter but there was no way to see unless you texted.
𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻, 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝘆/𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝘆?
without double checking your fingers sent the text leaving you slightly panicking at the text. a few seconds passed till a text sent back.
𝗮𝗵 𝘆𝗲𝘀, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘀𝗻𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗲. 𝗶 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁.
laughing at the joking manner of his text you didn’t even wait a few seconds causing the two of you to go back and fourth.

sending him your address slightly after, you closed your phone for the night and squealed like a child before pulling yourself together.
you didn’t actually like armin, your heart never yearned for anyone actually. but the thought of being asked out for once made you smile a little.

entering a secluded room in the corner, armin’s footsteps pattered like a pin dropping in a silent room. his face stern ridden with no sight of emotion. entering the small cupboard, waft of cold draft swarmed his frail skin taking him aback a few steps. eyes adjusting to the rooms dim blue light, armin’s reflection stared back at him through the three computer screens.
“should i really do this?” armin muttered his eyes staring at his own reflection, his fingers tapping at the thoughts of you. your eyes, your smile , your wittiness. was you all worth it? putting his plan in action, his back settled on an ornate black chair, armin pulled out a decent sized teddy bear.
following the fuzzy gesture, scissors along with a small camera. small incisions cut themselves at the throat leaving a space for armin to stick the camera in without any clear view of it. wrapping a small bow around the neck with enough space to allow the camera footage to roll.
hands tapping at the monitor, armin connected the bears camera to the computer, saving it on allowing full access at all time.
“perfect” armin muttered, his chair pulling out to watch from a distance. turning on his computer and swiping a few buttons armin’s monitors displayed his own face while the camera in the bear played. shying his face away in an abrupt wave of shame, armin took it in his hand while closing up the room and locking it swiftly.
it’s not like he hadn’t thought it through. it was no accident that he “bumped” into you. armin laid his eyes on you before, in back to classes or in between lessons while you politely asking people to get out the way and lend you notes. that sheepish smile you so tried so hard to hide from the rest but he could see it. you were like him, he was like you.
——————————————
adding final touches to your face, an unfamiliar amount of noise raised itself outside your three walls. it was normal for the occasional hustle from the other people in your awkward complex but nevertheless your ears grew attracted to the new sounds. instrumentals that seemed to push itself for further amounted of time, lyrics never following up.
head in a subtle trance, your own scent engulfed you, face hot, body growing weaker in slight anxiety. what if this went bad? or you awkwardly embarrassed yourself? or what if the conversation died?
drawing you back to earth, your phone rang. the annoying tone replaying around you till you picked up.
“y/n? i’m outside” armin’s voice crackled through the phone, muffled music turned his voice down a few octaves making it harder to hear him.
“ i won’t be long “ trying not to sound too nervous you hanged up and rushed for your essentials ; after a quick glance in the mirror you waddled out the door, the weight of it slamming.
window down, wind blowing through the slip in the car window. armin’s uplifted face shaded throughout, his hands reaching to sweetly to turn down his instrumentals.
“hey angel, get in” ushering you to the car, armin reached over the gearbox shoving the door open to reveal the passenger seat. the second your eyes circled down to the seat, a medium size bouquet of flowers rested along with a small teddy bear.
face lighting up, a genuine smile filled your face while you pranced to the car, smell of recycled gas swarmed your nose while your got closer, the car engine softly running.
“this is cute oh my god” your voice raised a few octaves the second your hands touched the furry object. with both the gifts in your hand you rested them in your laps before abruptly closing the door.
staring at the little item on your lap, familiar handwriting was neatly presented on a white shirt of the bear.
‘i promise i’m not a womaniser :)’
the dumbness of the little joke made you smile at the remembrance he kept.
“this definitely confirmed my suspicions” you laughed, head turning to the side to look at him,
“what- no that’s completely not the point” armin looked back at you comfortingly his eyes shifting at the bear. his eyes focusing on the bow, his eyes widening at the sight of the little red light.
“you can put them in the back seat” hands reaching to the back seat placing both down. reclaiming his ‘cool’ armin’s warm smile greeted you once again while his face popped back up.
all his features stared back at you, everything seeming new to you. his fair skin slightly glowed in the sun’s summer shine, his hand hovered over the gear shift. his veins appearing rather clear while they flexed with awkward moments.
hesitantly, armin leant forward to the glove compartment. his body lightly leaning on you just about reaching your thighs. surprisingly, a new softer scent grazed your nose while his hands messed around in the compact space. the feeling of your heart racing travelled down your body along with the soft material of his shirt touching your thigh causing hairs to send up at the back of your neck while your legs clutched together harder.
looking further, the hand closer to you braced your against your thigh. the coldness of his ring making your skin crawl, face feeling hot the tension of the air continued. so thick it could off been cut by a knife.
removing his lingering presence, armin pulled sunglasses over his eyes, the sweet shades of blue disappearing due to the rose coloured lenses. without a break of explanation and a few shifts, the car swiftly speeded up ; the same instrumentals tuning in.
“so how’s your week been?” eyes straight on the road, his hands barley controlling the wheel at the bottom his hands twiddled at the bottom. his face ever so briefly turning to face you.
“it’s been okay! what about yours”
nodding in unison with your words, an unusual wave of awkwardness rushing over you.
“since i’m with you, it’s better”
“ that’s the most cringe thing i’ve heard in while” laughing at his typical phrase slight weight fell off your shoulders at an attempt at conversation.
———————
“you plan on driving?" You ask him, sipping on the lifeless drink.
"y/n, if you think im dumb enough to drive while intoxicated, im sorry to break it to you, but I'm not as dumb as i look also i don’t drink, no alcohol in these” He waved his drink in the air, the ice clinking before he set it back down on the table. "but anyway, tell me about yourself."
"you don’t drink? " you take another sip and shove your hands into your lap out of nervousness. reaching out for your hand that stayed in your lap, he pulled onto it.
“don’t be so nervous and i at least wanna get you home safe.” smiling with your hands in his, you could feel the rush of blood to your face at his consideration causing a slither of a grin. “ now back to the question tell me about yourself” his hands letting go of yours to shoot down the rest of his drink; his head tilting to offer to order you a new one.
“ oh urm apart from philosophy, i kinda like designing clothes. it’s not a thing but it’s something i think about” swinging your legs through the barstool, your back slouched slightly his words making you feel better . “what about you?”
staring at armin , the flickering bar lights over the pair of you. the hustle and bustle of the friday night surrounded you. multiple girls, pushing past you ordering drinks and slightly obnoxious giggling.
“computer science is something i do on the side, something about coding things and using cameras for stuff” shallow smiling back, his thoughts ran through. was he letting off too much? would this open a flag in your head?
“i never took as you as a computer science guy” eyes widening, stress leaving your body the more liquid courage coaxed your throat.
maybe it was the atmosphere of the bar, the situation in the car or the fact you were slightly tipsy but the sight of armin turned you on. his soft touch with his hands along with the velvet of his voice; you could only imagine how he’d fuck. you wouldn’t usually jump to thoughts like this but it felt like his eyes were undressing you every time they looked you.
————————-
“y/n i’m not gonna sleep with you, you’re wasted” with your full weight falling onto him ; his hands trying to keep you up straight. the pulsing in your brain slowly followed up, the effects of the liquor running through your veins spiking your heart rate that rapidly beat each time his fingers grazed an exposed part of your skin.
“but why” your words slurred while your lips pouted in sorrow. eyes dropping, head pounding, your desire for Armin slowly crept up higher. the sudden want for his skin on yours, words of subtle affirmation in your ears, dragging of your nails on his back; everything like that grew to fruition while lifeless bar lights awkwardly flickered over the pair of you.
“because it’s wrong angel,” Armin’s hand crawled up to the chin of your face pulling your focus to his face instead of his slight hard-on your eyes stayed glued on. the veins that stayed flexed on his hand caught your attention while the spikes of light made the veins shine more.
“but that’s boring no” once again your words dragged on, your intoxication blinding the fact your head sunk more into his chest his familiar scent clouded the pounding of your head. “i rather fuck you when your sober doll” his words sung at your ears while he slowly carried you out.
———————
“ugh” your voice groaned while your hand immediately covered your eyes from the blazing inferno called the sun. the morning mid-rise shine blasted itself in through the apartments window landing on the toughness of your skin. small birds yelled their harsh chirps, abusing the tenderness of your ears along with the warm rays of the sun pushed through the curtain, ever-so slightly to penetrate themselves into your skin.
your head sunk lower into the pillow while you adjusted to the pounding that caused you to rub your forehead every five seconds as if it’ll help. eventually, your eyes adjusted to the bleakness of the morning, cotton sheets draped over the nimbleness of your exposed skin along with a unforeseeable cool breeze causing you to wrap yourself up deeper.
“wait. this isn’t my apartment”
