Ranboo doesn't understand overworld things.
He didn’t understand what “he” or “she” was. Apparently, they were ‘pronouns’ but he didn’t know what that meant either.
He didn’t understand the constant need to fight one another. Why people have wars and conflicts when everything could be solved by just leaving each other alone .
Why everyone was so obsessed with one-upping each other.
Why everyone couldn’t respect one another.
The one thing he could understand was love.
He could understand how Tommy loved his pets.
He could understand how Tubbo and Tommy loved L’manburg.
Ranboo could understand that he loved Tubbo and that he loved Michael. He loved his grass blocks and his particles and his pets. He loved them, and he wanted to protect them. He wanted to cherish them. To make sure no harm came to them.
But it seems Ranboo forgot that not everyone feels the way he does. Or maybe he couldn’t handle the thought of it. Or maybe he was protecting himself from the truth. That not everyone loves the way he does. That not everyone wants to protect the things they cherish.
That Tubbo doesn’t love him the way he loves him.
Because Ranboo tried his hardest to protect him. Tried his hardest to make sure Quackity couldn’t get the cookie outpost. That Tubbo would be safe.
But Tubbo gave it away. Tubbo didn’t want what he gave him. Tubbo didn’t want him .
Ranboo squeezed himself closer to the corner of Michael’s room, a grass block clutched tightly in his grip. His head hurt and he was confused and sad and scared.
He loves his grass block, he loves Michael, he loves his pets. He loves his particles.
His grass block loved him back. Michael loved him back. His pets loved him back. The particles loved back.
He loves Tubbo.
But Tubbo doesn’t love him back.
Maybe he never did.
It was all one-sided. Or Ranboo pushed him away. He was just an aggressive half-breed with undefined morals and a lack of spine.
He didn’t deserve to be loved by Tubbo. Tubbo loves strong people. Tubbo loves things that don’t disappoint him. That he can trust. Ranboo didn’t make Tubbo proud.
Ranboo doesn’t understand most of the overworld.
And maybe Ranboo doesn’t understand love.
