I've got that poker face that
Moves in and out of traces,
Blind to the eyes of a coward,
Trying to defy the empowered!
They're suspect to the blame,
They all forgot my name!
But I'm smooth, I've got nothing to prove...
The Nemesis floats in space, not straying from its path even once. Its occupants were currently in a meeting. Soundwave motions his servo to the board behind him. "We're broken down," He points to the Decepticons in front of him, still speaking. "Lost in galaxies near and far," The Decepticons present were Starscream, Sunstorm, Thundercracker, Thrust and Shockwave. "With no place to go in the stars, gotta pop open the chassis and charge."
Soundwave points at a map on the table, Thrust and Starscream standing alongside him as they process its contents. "We're all learniiiiiiiing... that there's one of us enticed to make us crawl. And we're hardly holding on, but we could be wrong!" Starscream shrugged.
"I'm not the one to be afraid..." Shockwave sung to himself, as he peeked in on the trio. They were all unaware of his presence. "In the end they'll be betrayed, I worked hard to blend between the cracks and will not be denied the fate-"
He looks down at his servo and arm cannon, the top of his head seeming to curve down as his previously neutral "expression" became a frown. If he had a mouth, he would be grinning ever so slightly. "I've taken many lives... By the holy knife..."
He clenches his fist, and both of his arms shake as his optic becomes a tiny yellow pinprick. "And yet you won't see it coming, I'm the one who takes the dagger to the eyes!"
I've got that poker face that
All of the Decepticons present on the Nemesis were alive. Likely unwell, but alive.
Moves in and out of traces,
Blind to the eyes of a coward,
Trying to defy the empowered!
They're suspect to the blame,
They all forgot my name!
But I'm smooth,
I've got nothing to prove!
I'm a pretender in my own game!
Be careful of wandering eyes,
In time we will ambush the priiiiize!
Thundercracker, ever so diligent and loyal, stares at the holographic screen. He was going to finish his job.
The table's turniiiiiiiiing
He was too absorbed in his own work to notice a shadow entering the room that he was in.
We've been observed
Nor did he notice heavy pedesteps coming towards him.
While they've preserved their time to strike.
He does not notice a purple cannon being raised towards him.
But we're a party of lookalikes
The Seeker continued to tap the holo-screen, still unaware of the danger.
We may dislike this but we're yearniiiiiiiing,
Soundwave stands in the bridge, staring at the cosmos. He vents, optic band focused on anything that the cosmos may try to hurl at them.
To stop the clock,
Turn it up a notch,
He, like Thundercracker before him, is unaware of the pedesteps to his location.
And start the rise,
A purple figure looms behind the Communications Officer, servo outstretched.
But the room is filled with lies,
What a surprise!
Sunstorm holds some of the ship's wiring with his servos, trying to figure out how to fix the broken and sparking cords without damaging the ship even more.
I've taken time to infiltrate,
A yellow pinprick of light appears from the corner, eyeing the yellow Seeker with an unreadable (and mostly absent) expression.
They're all my dirty bait,
A purple cannon sticks out from the corner, aiming at the Seeker.
I will cling to darkness anyway,
For inside us all, we got intact DNA
Hook was rummaging through the mess that was the medbay, looking for some specific supplies that he was likely going to need for later.
I hope I'm not on display,
Shockwave stood behind the Decepticon medic, caked in Energon and bits of kibble that weren't his.
Because once in the spotlight,
His optic becomes pinprick-like once more as he approaches the medic, servo outstretched. If he had a face, he would be grinning madly.
My design will be their own demise!
I've got that poker face that,
Four of the Decepticons on the Nemesis were missing.
Moves in and out of traces,
Soon, the others would notice.
Blind to the eyes of a coward,
More than enough time for Shockwave to wreak more havoc before an inevitable meeting.
Trying to defy the empowered!
They're suspect to the blame,
They all forgot my name!
But I'm smooth, I've got nothing to prove,
I'm a pretender in my own game!
Starscream made his way to the medbay, only to notice the Energon on the floor. Venting, the Air Commander's optics follow the trail... landing right on the mangled form of Hook.
Be careful of wandering eyes,
In time we will ambush the priiiiize!
"INTRUDER ALERT! THERE'S A HOMICIDE INSIDE THE DIRT!"
The three remaining Cassetticons wandered the area, looking around nervously. They felt Soundwave and the other tapes go offline from the bond. Ravage looks ahead of them, not noticing a purple figure peeking out from the corner.
"EMERGENCY, INTRUDER ALERT!"
A single blast obliterates the trio, with no-one around to notice them or hear their screams as they get offlined.
"GOTTA HIT THEM WHERE IT ALL HURTS, NOW!"
"We're all gathered in the ring of fire," Starscream began, before pointing at Soundwave's corpse. "'Cause one of us just happened to become retired!"
He slams his servos on the table, making some of the surviving Decepticons jump. "We can speculate, correlate, one of us would navigate." He glares at Shockwave. "Not trying to damper on the one we hate."
"But if it's all right with you, I've got a dying crew." He motions to a holopad on the table which displayed the status of most of the Decepticons' Sparks. "So don't skip, don't flip, no abandoning ship!"
He points at Shockwave, the two Decepticons on either side of him giving him confused looks while backing away as he frowns. "Count on the dip of our fingers on the buzzer, help a brother, cast judgement on the other!"
"Aight!?"
"Hands on the buzzer, intruder alert," Shockwave began to make his argument, his pinprick optic focused solely on the Air Commander. "There's a homicide inside the dirt. Emergency, intruder alert, was it you who took them where it hurts?" He mockingly inquired.
The duo begin to lean closer to each other, with Starscream clenching his servos until they shook while Shockwave simply hunched over to the Seeker. "Hands on the buzzer, intruder alert. There's a homicide inside the dirt. Emergency, intruder alert,"
They both point their weapons at each other, with both Decepticons quickly backing away and pulling out their own weapons too. "YOU LEFT US FOR DESSERT!" Shockwave, in a rare moment of emotion in public, raised his voice at the Seeker.
"I know how hard it's been," Shockwave stares at the bridge, not paying any attention to the splattered Energon covering the walls and the floor or the remains of both Thrust and Skywarp. "To trust in me..."
"I have no alibi..." He turns to a cowering Starscream, who was currently missing an arm with his only remaining nullray being damaged beyond repair. "No matter how hard I tried..." Shockwave threw the Seeker's arm away, approaching him at a steady pace as the Air Commander let out a cry and desperately attempted to scramble away.
"IT WAS YOU AND YOU CAN'T DENY!" He lunges at the Air Commander, servo outstretched.
I've got that poker face that,
All of the remaining Decepticons were dead.
Moves in and out of traces,
Blind to the eyes of a coward,
Shockwave hummed to himself as he dragged the remains of a yellow Seeker to the garbage disposal unit.
Trying to defy the empowered!
They're suspect to the blame,
They all forgot my name!
But I'm smooth, I've got nothing to prove,
Shockwave stands on the bridge of the Nemesis, venting to himself as he relishes in the silence and lack of pesky "allies" to bother him and put a damper on his plans.
He almost seemed to smile, despite lacking a mouth.
I won this tragic race,
Starscream floated away from the Nemesis, his remaining servo weakly reaching for the faraway ship.
In an airborne criiiiime!
He silently begs for Primus to take mercy on him as he feels his joints lock and his Spark sputter.
Blind to the eyes of a coward! Trying to defy the empowered!
"They could not suss me out," Shockwave raised his servo and his cannon and shook them in victory. "THIS SHIP IS NOW MIIIIINE!"
I'm smooth, I've got nothing to prove...
"I'm a pretender in my own game!" He said, as he gleefully danced on the empty bridge of the Nemesis.
Be careful of wandering eyes...
A Cybertronian neutral stares at the Nemesis as it appears in the sky, faraway but still visible. There was visible awe on his face.
In time we will ambush the priiiiize!
