Chapter Text
Doctor Flug had been working on this invention for months. It was a way to combine the best parts and skills of different villains. As he finally finished the last few parts, he cheerfully looked up at the new creation.
"Finally, it's done!" He exclaimed, chuckling. "Now then… It needs testing." He stands staring at his invention in awe.
"Sir! Demencia! 5.0.5! It's done!" He yelled.
After a few moments, Demencia rushed into the room, stopping right in front of the man, grinning. "What's up, nerd?"
"My invention is done."
"... Sounds lame. What is it?" She glanced at the machine. It had three large tubes with doors on them, and a few buttons on a metal table connected to one of them.
"It's not lame, Demencia." Flug muttered. He gestured towards the machine with both hands. "It's a fusion device. It can fuse two or three people into one p-"
Flug was rudely interrupted by Demencia squealing. "Cool! Can I fuse with Black Hat?!"
"... No." The Doctor replied. He looked past her to see Black Hat slowly entering the room.
"Flug! Why did you make me leave my office?!" Black Hat screams as he stomps towards him and Demencia.
"Sir, I didn't make you, but I wanted to show you the fusion device-"
"Hi Black Hat!" Demencia giggled, running to him, nearly pushing him into the machine. "I wanna see what this is like! Come on, let's try the nerdy device!"
"Demencia, I will not do anything of the sort!" The demon hissed, taking a few steps back. Demencia pushed him into one of the tubes of the machine, the door of it closing. He attempted to hit the door to get out, yelling at her. "Demencia!"
"Demencia!" Flug yelled. He grabbed the woman by the shoulders, pulling her away from the invention. "Stop that!" The man began to lecture her, not hearing the footsteps coming from nearby.
"Uh, nerd?" Demencia asked, a look of concern spreading across her face.
"No, Demencia. You are not doing this. The fusion device-"
"Nerd, shut up! Look behind you!" She points behind the both of them.
"The fusion device is only for combining the best of multiple villains, not for anything else-"
"NERD!" Demencia screamed.
"Fine. What is it?!"
"5.0.5 just walked into the thing you built."
"Huh?... I didn't see him enter the lab, what?..." He turned around.
5.0.5 had just entered one of the strange tube-like rooms, the door closing in front of him.
"5.0.5! That's not a toy! Get out of there!" Flug rushed to the device.
Demencia ran to the small table pressing a few buttons. "Which one opens the doors?"
"Demencia! Ask me that before you press anything!" He smacks her hand away from the buttons.
"I'm just helping!" She screeched in response.
"No you're not!" He looked at the machine, which was now making a loud whirring sound. "What did you press?"
"I don't know, a lot of shiny red buttons!"
"What's wrong with you, you don't just do that!"
The sound from the device was getting louder.
"I'm sorry, okay! Now come on, we should move out of the way!"
"Why?"
"Because it sounds like it's about to-"
A boom suddenly rang through the lab, the machine broke, metal scraps flying throughout the room. Both Flug and Demencia fell over onto the floor.
After a while, both slowly stood up.
"Explode. It sounds like it's going to explode." Demencia mumbled.
"... I can tell." The scientist sighed. "You alright?"
"Yeah, you?"
"I think I have a few scratches, but otherwise, I'm fine." He looks around the room, his head stopped moving when he noticed someone laying on the floor in pain. "Well… I think the device works."
"Cool."
"No, not cool! My device is ruined!" He responded, stomping towards the creature that was on the floor, helping it stand up.
The creature looked somewhat strange. A bear with stormy gray fur, with small patches of blue. He wore a light blue button up shirt, a black coat, and a very small top hat. A monocle covered his left eye, and a small flower was connected to his hat.
"... Sir? 5.0.5?" Flug asked. The man couldn't help but find the creature somewhat cute.
The bear stared at him. "What? What did you do?" His voice was like a small child. He gasped. "... I can talk."
"Are you okay?" Flug asked. "We'll fix this, okay you two?" He pat him on the shoulder.
The creature didn't respond, hissing softly as Flug gave him a gentle hug.
"Oh. Sorry, sir." He let go of the bear.
Demencia slowly walked towards them. "Um… Flug, how will you fix this?"
The man hesitated to speak."I don't know, Demencia…" The man replied. "But you're going to help me."
