"You guys got caught fucking again??? I heard the poor Sophomore actually saw you this time, not just hear!!!"
Seungyoun cackled through saying this, Yixuan-ge merely sighed. Yibo? Yibo squinted his eyes, keeping a straight face, "How are you so sure it was us? Wait. How'd you even know this?"
His Leo twin rolled his eyes, "One, people are still on the hunt to fight this Bo-ge guy is. Two, who else screams 'Bo-ge' during sex in the very open audi classroom of the Art Building, Yibo?" Ah. Well, alright. Okay, he'll give him that.
The youngest shrugged carelessly, "Okay. But it wasn't my idea."
When his two friends started boo-ing at him, shouting "bullshit" here and there, jokingly and teasingly saying Xiao Zhan wasn’t capable of that shit, he couldn't help but cackle along.
Because listen. It really wasn't.
"Haahng..."
Wang Yibo clenched his eyes shut as his beautiful boyfriend roughly sat back down on his dick, sending intoxicating pleasure up the student's spine. He prayed that this desk could hold both their weights or else it would definitely be hard to explain to the admin about this. Ah yeah, my boyfriend pushed me to sit down on it and suddenly started riding my dick, give me a few months and I’ll pay, I swear.
"Ah. Ahh nngh, s-so good. The best."
Soon, he started bouncing, wrapping his slim arms around Yibo's neck, nails scratching at his scalp. Heat was pooling rapidly in Yibo's lower abdomen, a telltale sign of his oncoming orgasm, balls tightening as Xiao Zhan treated him like nothing but a mere-ass sex toy.
Breathing raggedly, the younger let out a hoarse plead, "Ge. I'm close—I—"
Suddenly, his boyfriend stopped, the buildup halting along with him. At this, Yibo bit his lower lip hard, keeping a frustrated groan in. This was the third fucking time his boyfriend did this. He was honestly close to snapping.
Wang Yibo couldn't help but scrunch his brows as he slowly opened his eyes to glare at his lover. Xiao Zhan, although looking properly debauched and absolutely fucked out, had the audacity to stare challengingly at him, an obviously amused glint in his eyes.
"Are you sure you don't want to fuck me hard yet, Bo-ge? You've got thirty minutes left before my next lecture starts, you know?"
He even let out a shameless giggle then leaned in close to lick at Yibo's lower lip, nipping lightly. The student couldn't help but moan at it. Fuck. Fuck.
"The door isn't even locked, ge. I-If your students find you—"
"Then they'll finally find out the mystery Bo-ge their beloved Xiao-laoshi has been fucking."
Yibo would laugh hysterically at this if his boyfriend hadn't started sensually rolling his hips again. Jesus, if anyone ever told Yibo that through his third year in university, he'll fall in love with the sweetest, loveliest, brattiest, most insatiable person to ever exist in his lifetime, he probably won't believe it.
Which was why he totally understood when people didn't believe him when he said he wasn't the absolute horndog in the relationship.
Xiao Zhan was one of his university's most well-known Modern Art Professors. It wasn't just that, though. He was known to be the softest, most innocent-looking man in the university. He dressed himself in a way people would peg as cute—pastel sweaters here and there. He knew how to knit and cook and shit, okay, listen, he made his own cute little lunch boxes, that sometimes it made Yibo want to die.
The very first time Yibo laid his eyes on Xiao Zhan, his heart automatically locked on him. He knew that if he didn't do anything, he'd regret it and so, without a second thought, he dived into making the man fall in love with him.
Interesting enough, talking to Xiao Zhan was one of the easiest things Yibo's ever done. When their first words were out, something clicked, and suddenly, they were inseparable. He visited him during after-lecture hours, tried to find him in the hallways as much as he could. He even went out of his way to buy him snacks and coffee every quick break he got, then sprinted back to the Dance Building like it was nothing.
He learned more about Xiao Zhan as time passed—that he was much more than the goody, innocent professor rumors pegged him to be. For one, he was an absolute menace. He could easily match Yibo's gremlin self, throwing insults and teases here and there without any fucking thought at all. Another was he was definitely no pushover. He was straightforward and firm with his principles and stances. He knew what he liked and never second-guessed making decisions. He was both mature yet playful, cute yet absolutely dashing, smart yet could also be naive. Unexpectedly, he and Yibo were basically a perfect match, and the day he finally answered the student's "be mine?" was honestly one of the happiest days the dance major could ever have in his life.
One thing he never have expected from him though was the sex. The thing was, his Zhan-ge's schedule was hectic, and Yibo was the type to fill his schedule until he was all beat up. The younger student hadn't expected much so it took months before they finally did it the first time.
The day they both snapped, they were both in a classroom where Xiao Zhan was preparing for his lecture. Wang Yibo had ran from his building with a can of coffee in hand to give to his boyfriend and when he stepped into the empty room, Xiao Zhan had demanded he locked the door behind him.
Without questioning it, the younger adult obviously followed, before making his way towards the professor's desk where Xiao Zhan was sitting.
Usually, his Zhan-ge would smile sweetly at him. He'd stand up and pull him into a hug then plant a tender kiss as thanks on his lips. Wang Yibo then would stay for about fifteen to twenty minutes where they just hang, then he'd sprint back to his classroom. Seungyoun would always make fun of him for being all sweaty and shit, calling him a whipped puppy. But Yibo didn't care. He loved doing it.
But well, that day apparently wasn't one of those days. Instead of pulling Yibo into a kiss, the younger found his boyfriend pushing him until he was the one seated on the chair. Confused, Yibo opened his mouth to ask when suddenly, his pants were being unzipped, his dick being pulled out roughly, making him hiss.
With wide eyes, he found his Zhan-ge spreading his legs apart so he could settle in between them, and fuck shit, it was a fucking sight, that's for sure.
"Bo-di."
Yibo had blinked at his boyfriend, but no word came out of his mouth. Xiao Zhan was looking up at him with such manic eyes, desperate and clouded with desire, and somehow, Yibo knew the best course of action was to slip his fingers through his hair and guide his mouth towards his gradually hardening dick.
That same day, Xiao Zhan had confessed that the three months they've been together was the longest he hasn't had sex. Yibo had laughed so hard at that and brought him home to his apartment that night when both of them had finally finished their days.
Yibo fucked his boyfriend, slow at first then fast and hard until his Zhan-ge was a babbling mess, drool and tears and everything. He screamed and moaned about how Yibo's dick was the best, how he was ruined for everyone else, how he'd want nothing more than to have him inside him every single day.
Since then, he's been open about his wild libido, jumping at Yibo every chance he got. Yibo was definitely not against it. In fact, he loved it. But there were times his boyfriend had gotten careless—getting them caught a few times.
Today was definitely going to be one of those times.
Slowly, Xiao Zhan lifted himself once more until only the tip of Yibo's dick was inside him, then slammed down hard again, making the younger choke. And Yibo—Yibo told himself he wouldn't break, wouldn't fuck him until after classes because an unlocked door was far too risky. They fucked a lot in different rooms, yes, but usually, they made sure shit was locked or empty. Yibo's rational brain was definitely still in control. But all of a sudden, Xiao Zhan stopped moving, eyes widening as though he just thought of an idea.
With one hand, he started unbuttoning his white button-up. His other hand suddenly brushed at Yibo's hair, settling at the back of his head. He sat up straight, arching his back slightly, then pulled Yibo’s head close, as though he was guiding his face towards his chest—
Oh.
Oh fuck.
"If you fuck me well, Mommy will reward you. How about that?"
Foul.
Definitely a foul.
Motherfucking foul play.
If Yibo had flipped their positions and started fucking into his boyfriend like his life depended on it whilst sucking on his chest, then he could definitely say he was provoked. If he ignored the door clicking then slamming close and continued pounding him until his very beautiful boyfriend was screaming, he could say he was pushed to his limits.
If Xiao Zhan taught his class ten minutes later with a very obvious limp, it definitely wasn't Yibo's fault.
II.
"I hear the 'Bo-ge' guy that Xiao-laoshi's dating's an absolute sex freak. He obviously can't keep his dick soft. Xiao-laoshi's current students say he's always covered in marks and limping."
Seungyoun snickered beside Yibo as they ate in their building's cafeteria.
"Xiao-laoshi used to be so innocent, though. How dare he taint our beloved professor? What if he doesn't know the kind of relationship he entered. Is that even love? Someone so sweet and loving probably doesn’t know who are good from bad ones. Xiao-laoshi seems like the type who would. Gosh, when we finally find out who that guy is..."
Yibo rolled his eyes at the gossip, bitterly snorting loudly. It apparently caught the attention of the two gossiping girls by the way they suddenly glared at him. When their voices suddenly softened, the younger dance major scrunched his nose and dug into his rice again.
After a few seconds, his best friend spoke up. It wasn't loud though, just enough for Yibo to hear.
"You bothered? D'you want me to fight them? They don't know shit about your relationship, man. I can totally fight for this anonymous Bo-ge's honor."
At this, the younger actually laughed at his friend's ridiculousness. He shook his head though, "Nah. Just don't like how they talk like they know their beloved Xiao-laoshi enough to dictate his likes from his dislikes."
If Yibo were being honest, when the shit-talk against this Bo-ge guy started, he started out feeling offended for himself. That he'd ever manipulate Zhan-ge to ever be in a relationship with him.
Besides his and Xiao Zhan's friends, no one else knew of their relationship and so it wasn't surprising that Yibo was mostly faceless to the students of the Modern Art sector.
Xiao Zhan screaming "Bo-ge" in one of their quickies was actually an accident. Yibo was teasing him that day, sliding his dick inside his boyfriend as slowly as possible considering they had extra time, and Xiao Zhan was actually in the process of desperately begging him to just get on with it. He usually used Bo-ge outside of sex to coax Yibo to stop when Yibo would start waxing poetics about his boyfriend. Guess the teasing actually pushed him to use the same methods. It just so happened the first time he loudly moaned out Bo-ge in sex was also the first time someone had overheard them outside the locked room and it stuck, with rumors of Xiao Zhan fucking someone called Bo-ge spread quickly through the department.
Yibo had apologized profusely for that—for causing him trouble—but Xiao Zhan had pinched his cheek, rolling his eyes, amused. His boyfriend had told him he was happy people knew his Bo-ge was fucking him well, a mischievous glint in his eyes. He had told him that their business was their business, and other's were other's. Besides, there wasn’t any particular rule on dating students—and you’re definitely not my student, have you ever seen me dance, Wang Yibo?—so there really wasn’t anything wrong. It was then that Wang Yibo realized that perhaps, he was more annoyed over the overly-inaccurate rumors made about him—how they made him sound, how they made him seem to be. How he was pegged to be someone clueless, rather than someone who could be trusted to make his own decisions. And Xiao Zhan, he definitely knew what he wanted, knew what he loved, knew what he chased. Which was honestly why he and Yibo matched well.
Wang Yibo huffed, smiling slightly at the memory, "Besides, our business is our business. The fuck do they know?"
Seungyoun gave him a proud grin, suddenly pinching at his cheeks and cooing about how his beloved didi's grown so mature.
"What does baobao want?"
Yibo felt his boyfriend's small hand shamelessly grab at his clothed dick, making him laugh. They were both finally lying down, face-to-face, on Yibo's bed after a long week of lectures, events, and classes.
They were both tired, that's for sure, but it seems as though his boyfriend still wanted to do more things despite his eyes already drooping.
At this, Yibo pulled his boyfriend close, until they were hugging tightly. Even if he was also tired, he still had some energy left to tease.
"What's that? Let's sleep already?"
He hears Xiao Zhan whine, making his chest burst with wild endearment. This made him want to cover his boyfriend's face with kisses and so he did just that, until his lover was giggling softly and rubbing his face against Yibo's cheek. Abruptly, the older man turned until his back was pressed against Yibo's chest. He also grabbed at Yibo's arm to forcefully make him spoon him.
Cute. So fucking cute.
Wang Yibo was not a strong man so he ended up pulling him much closer, burying his nose at the back of his neck just so he could inhale his scent—marshmallows, cotton, lavender.
He genuinely thought his lover actually gave up and was set on sleeping when suddenly, he feels his boyfriend's plush ass very intentionally rub against his dick. He had to keep in a groan, hands tightening on his Zhan-ge's hips. But then he did it again and again, until Yibo was half hard and breathing raggedly.
"Insatiable, ge. So fuckin' insatiable."
Yibo hears a low chuckle, sending shivers up his spine. His hand was suddenly being covered by Zhan-ge's hand and being pulled until it was under his lover's shirt, his palm dragging across smooth skin.
"You asked me what I wanted, didn't you? Well. I want my gorgeous boyfriend whom I super, duper love to make me feel so, so good, then when we wake up, I want him to order breakfast because I know he can't cook for the life of anyone. I am a man aware of my very desires and distastes, as you can see."
The younger let himself chuckle at this, chest feeling warmer and warmer, a multitude of feelings stirring together—fondness, love, lust, desire. God, he was so in love with his Zhan-ge.
"Fuck you." He then grinned, pinching at his lover's nipple then proceeded to tickle his ribs, causing the man to yelp and break into fits of giggles as he screeched Yibo's name.
III.
“You should stop.”
Wang Yibo paused from answering his Math homework, eyebrows scrunching at the voice. He looked up from his worksheet, tilting when he found a guy he genuinely didn’t know standing in front of his table.
He and Seungyoun were currently hanging in the nearest café outside campus because it was hot as shit that day. Also, they both had Math homework—because somehow, art majors still did maths, Jesus Christ—they weren’t able to do that was due online the next day, so they took the time to work their dumbass brains together. It was better than nothing. Seungyoun actually just went to the bathroom a few minutes ago which was why the younger Leo was all alone at that time.
Yibo raised a brow at the stranger before looking down at his homework, confused.
“Oh. Uh. I thought I was following the formula right—”
“No, you fucking idiot.”
Well. Rude. The dance major frowned at that. What was he supposed to think? Who in the right mind would approach someone to make them stop whatever he was doing, anyway? With a huff, Yibo gripped his pen tighter. Okay, he’s probably just one of those assholes looking for a fight. The student was used to that so it wouldn’t be a problem to ignore him.
“Hey.”
Yibo kept his gaze on the paper, mind automatically tuning out the asshole. It wasn’t worth it to fight. Besides, Zhan-ge’s already mentioned he had to work on his temper and he shouldn’t just go at everyone who provoked him. It’s been a few months and Yibo couldn’t help but admit that he was right. It really was a waste of time and effort, and there were definitely better, more legal ways to deal with harassment and all that jazz.
“Oi, Wang Yibo.”
Surely, Seungyoun was on his way back and his bro could definitely talk to the weirdo to leave—
“I know you’re Bo-ge.”
The student froze at that, blinking. Slowly, he looked back up at the stranger who was currently smirking at him, obviously satisfied that he caught his attention. He then placed both hands on his hips, puffing his chest, “And I’m here to say you should stop. Break up with Xiao-laoshi.”
For a moment, Yibo couldn’t see anything but red, chest bursting with hot anger. He hadn’t even noticed he abruptly stood up, making his chair almost fall noisily, definitely ready to fight, but Xiao Zhan’s voice rang in his ears again. Next time I find out you’re in a fight, I’m disassembling your Lego sets. It wasn’t the Lego set threat that got to him though, it was how he said it—the teasing tone, the mischievous glint in his eyes. The way he smiled as though he knew Yibo was whipped enough that he’ll keep that empty threat to heart.
At this, Wang Yibo took a shaky breath to calm himself, but still glaring at the guy. He didn’t move any further, though. Instead, he sat back down, biting the inside of his cheek. Again, he chose not to answer. He’ll just go away. If the dance major doesn’t bite then surely, it won’t escalate.
“Oi.”
Don’t listen.
“Oi. Break up with Laoshi. You obviously don’t deserve him.”
Yibo felt his eye twitch, but he kept steady. He tore his gaze away from the guy and went back to doing his work.
“There are so many people who love him more than you.”
Well, Yibo didn’t really care about that. All he knew was he loved Xiao Zhan with all his heart and that’s all that matters. He kind of wanted to laugh a bit at this—that this was how the kid was provoking him. Yibo was self-aware and self-accepting enough that any inaccurate assumption thrown at him didn’t bother him anymore.
“Xiao-laoshi is just too nice. He also doesn’t know what he deserves.”
The student paused at that, still staring at the worksheet.
“The thing with Xiao-laoshi is he probably can’t refuse. He’s too kind for his own good. He’s obviously with you out of pity.”
He felt his eye twitch, chest tightening.
“He’s also surely just sacrificing himself. Poor guy. He’s probably tolerating being used by you just ‘cause you’re popular and well-known—”
Yibo let out a shaky breath, jaw clenched. True, he could take inaccurate shit about himself, but it was obviously different when it comes to Xiao Zhan.
Xiao Zhan—who was the strongest, most down-to-earth guy Yibo’s met.
Xiao Zhan—who knew his priorities, knew his desires, knew his limits.
Xiao Zhan—who knew what was best for himself and could deadass fight anyone who ever came his way.
Xiao Zhan—who could cuss Yibo, who could hit Yibo, who could cackle and snort embarrassingly in front of Yibo, who could tell him straight away if something bothered him, if something made him happy, if something made him sad. Xiao Zhan who definitely knew his worth and would never let anyone dictate his shit especially when it would go against his principles.
And true to fact, Yibo’s only been with him for a few months or so but taking a few moments to just talk to the guy would let you know these things. That he wasn’t that kind of guy. That he wasn’t some god-like, angelic professor people could just push around and talked about in such way just because he was nice and understanding. He’s only human, jeez. This was one of the things that confused Yibo the most. For people who say they adore him, why would they ever talk about him that way?
Just—fuck. Fuck. Yibo was really pissed. Where the fuck were these dumbasses getting all this bullshit, anyway? Just how pathetic do they see their professor, anyway???
“He should just stay with people who love him and know him best to protect him—”
“Dude.”
“Shut up, Seungyoun.”
“Your boyfriend’s so going to wreck your motorcycle helmet model.”
Yibo groaned.
“Explain.”
The younger adult couldn’t help but let his lower lip jut out as he was faced with his boyfriend who was looking very disappointed in him.
“Don’t pout. I told you not to get into fights anymore.
He knew he should feel bad about this—should feel a tiny bit of shame at being scolded. But the longer Yibo stared at his fuming lover, the more relieved he felt though. The more he took in his stance, his reddening cheeks, his blazing gaze, matched with his scrunched brows, the more he wanted to get up and hug the fuck out of him just to be able to drain every lingering sense of frustration he felt earlier that day.
And well, since he was Wang Yibo, he did just that. He stood up from the couch and walked towards his boyfriend who was a few steps in front of him, then engulfed him in the tightest hug he could muster.
The elder man gave out a surprised squawk, obviously not expecting the action, but soon Yibo could feel him pushing at his chest, “Sex won’t fix this!”
Yibo huffed at that, tightening his hold, smiling, “You’re the only one who tries to fix shit with sex, ge.” He feels a hard hit on his back, making him smile even wider. Soon enough, his lover stopped struggling and squirming in his hold, giving him the chance to bury his nose at his neck, inhaling deeply to let his Zhan-ge’s scent fill everything. It was comforting that he couldn’t help but close his eyes, hugging him even closer.
There were a few seconds of just silence before Yibo chose to speak again.
“They know I’m Bo-ge.”
Zhan-ge tensed under him, but the student shook his head and started rubbing at his back as though to say, Nah, nah. It’s okay. I’m okay. It helped a bit, seeing as the taller man’s shoulders relaxed again. At that, he continued, “He kept saying I didn’t deserve you. And that I’m probably forcing you to love me—That you’re tolerating all of this.”
He hears Zhan-ge let out an affronted gasp before he pulled back, eyes wide in obvious anger, “What the fuck? You’d never do that—”
“And you’d never let yourself be treated that way.”
There was probably something in Yibo’s face as he said that that stunned Xiao Zhan because for a few seconds, he stared at the younger’s face with an unreadable expression. As the silence stretched, the professor blinked slowly, realization dawning in his features, “Oh.” He let out a huff, a small smile appearing in his lips, a helpless tone in his voice, “You were angry about that.”
Yibo frowned at him, all memories of people talking as though they knew shit about Xiao Zhan filling his head. All those times they spoke for him, how people were very convinced that they were correct just because they’ve interacted a few times. It irked the dance major in ways he couldn’t explain and if he were being honest, if he had little to no self-control, he would’ve snapped all those other times like how he snapped just a few hours ago.
He took a huff and pulled his boyfriend close to him once more, burying his nose into the crook of his neck. He closed his eyes, letting his boyfriend’s scent calm him as these strangers’ voices filled his head. He felt his lover’s fingers card through his hair, stroking at it comfortingly, making Yibo snuggle even closer. When a few minutes passed without Xiao Zhan speaking, the younger knew he was waiting for him to elaborate further.
Yibo took another exhale before doing just that, “People keep talking about you like they know you. They keep validating their thought-process with how much they love you.” He tightened his hold on Xiao Zhan, the urge to protect him rising, the desire to just keep him close growing more intense, “They think they have every right to protect you, believe that they should protect you, when you never even asked them to. And—"
He bit the inside of his cheek, squinting at the floor, frustrated confusion bursting through his chest, “And I get it, I guess. The undeniable urge to take care of you. The need to just fight them away, to block them away, because I genuinely love you a-and, y’know? But,” He heard his Zhan-ge let out a soft chuckle, his fingers have now settled at the back of his neck, scratching lightly, “But even I know you’re not helpless. I know you don’t need that kind of protection. I know you’re strong enough to handle yourself. And it frustrates me that every little thing you do feels as though it’s being monitored to fit this narrative they’ve established of you—”
Fuck, he genuinely didn’t know where he was going with this. The frustration inside him was growing hotter and heavier the more he thought of it, the more people looked down on him unconsciously, unknowingly—Yibo shook his head, chest growing tight, “I understand how it feels to want to take care of you. But what they’re doing—I-Is that really protecting?”
There were a few seconds of silence, of just Wang Yibo’s harsh breathing he hadn’t even noticed he’s been doing. He swallowed, trying to ignore that growing lump on his throat, before taking one last huge inhale to calm himself down. For the next few moments, everything he just said replayed in his head, panic growing hot in the pit of his stomach—fuck.
He couldn’t control his emotions. He let himself get lost in his heart again, not even thinking about what Xiao Zhan must feel about him being like this, acting as though he knew him so fucking much to be able to say all this when in fact they’ve only known and have been together for a few months. He—
“Ah, Wang Yibo.”
Suddenly, Yibo was being wrapped into an even tighter hug, slim arms engulfing his everything. He even started swaying side to side, and Yibo couldn’t help but follow along with his movement. The silence stretched through this. Honestly, though, the younger braced himself, slightly worried about what Xiao Zhan might say. He was unsure if he’ll get a scolding or a lecture—if he was going to get called out that he was just as bad as those people trying to give him unnecessary and unwanted attention.
But none of that came.
Instead, he received an amused huff, “You bet your butt I don’t need protection.”
And just like that, the tense ambiance was broken. Relief filled Wang Yibo’s entire being, a surprised laugh bubbling out of his chest. He feels his boyfriend hit his back lightly, somewhat jokingly, “Hey. It’s true! I’m a grown man, I can totally fight my battles. I have ample experience doing so—”
“Getting into online fan wars aren’t the same, Zhan-ge.”
“Brat!”
At that, Xiao Zhan started hitting his back even more so, making Yibo laugh even louder. Once he calmed, though, he shook his head slightly, “But. I know, though. I know you don’t.” Although he was laughing, the lump on his throat was still there. After a few more seconds of silence, he couldn’t help but pout when the guy from the café flashed through his mind again, “I still really do want to keep you away from those assholes.”
Maturity be damned. He was still really pissed when he thought about it. Unsurprisingly, he heard his Zhan-ge chuckle, followed by little coos that were meant to either to coax him or tease him. Or both. Possibly both. Yibo chose to pinch his boyfriend in retaliation causing for the older man to yelp and laugh even louder.
When the laughter died down, the two of them still hugging close in comfortable silence, Xiao Zhan spoke up, voice soft, “It means a lot that you know me enough to love me but also to consider my feelings about how you want to go about it despite how much you do.”
Wang Yibo blinked, trying to process this statement. And just like that, he let out a long groan, “Why’re you reassuring me? I should be the one reassuring you.”
“Well! You sound like you needed it!”
“Fuck off, ge.” Yibo hears an affronted gasp, but he knew his boyfriend was just playing with him with the way his voice cracked in amusement when he tried to reprimand him from cursing that way. This time, the younger couldn’t help but smile as he stared at the ground behind his Zhan-ge.
“Ge?”
“Mmh?”
“I know you can protect yourself despite what everyone says. But when the day comes, and you really do need someone to rely on—or want someone to rely on. I want to be that for you, okay? I’ll work extra hard to be worthy to protect someone as strong as you.”
Despite the growing embarrassment in Yibo’s throat, he tried to keep still. It was cheesy, too cheesy. But he needed to tell him—wanted to tell his Zhan-ge just how much he cares for him. That he loves him, but he’d also respect each and every boundary set. Honestly, he was expecting Xiao Zhan to started gagging and jokingly complain about how disgusting Wang Yibo was being again but somehow, he was met with silence.
Confused, Yibo pulled back slightly from hugging his boyfriend to catch a glimpse of his face.
Yibo blinked.
In front of him at that moment was his boyfriend, red-faced and wide-eyed. His mouth was agape, as though he was thinking of something to say but couldn’t find a single word. Without Yibo’s control, the sides of his lips lifted, amusement and endearment bursting wildly in his chest like newly lit sparklers, “Ge? Are you feeling shy?”
In the past few months they’ve been together, Yibo has seen the several sides of Xiao Zhan. He’s seen him angry; he’s seen him as the biggest brat, he’s seen him embarrassed and affronted, and he’s definitely seen him playful. He’s seen him calm and mature; he’s seen him patient and understanding. He’s seen him relaxed and sated.
This, though?
Shy and speechless? A new thing and something he really wanted to be permanently recorded in his memory.
Wang Yibo was grinning widely now. He opened his mouth to tease his lover even more so, but his mouth was suddenly being covered by soft hands, “If you say one more word, Wang Yibo, I’m going to bite you.”
“Kinky.”
Before the professor could answer back, the younger wrapped his arms around his waist and carried him, causing the taller man to squawk in surprise but probably due to force of habit, ended up wrapping his long legs around Yibo, arms flinging around the younger’s shoulder in panic.
The student started walking towards the bedroom, cackling at the way his lover started cussing him, “What the fuck? Wang Yibo.”
“Is that what gets you shy, Xiao-laoshi? Love and respect?”
Yibo earns himself a loud shriek drowned out by giggles when he pulls his boyfriend even closer, hugging him tighter as he walked. “And so what if it is, Wang Yibo? Love and respect are a pretty sexy combo, if you ask me!”
Yibo clicked his tongue, “That’s too low of a bar for the great Xiao-laoshi! Aim higher than being a decent human being! You deserve the best kind of rational loving!” Once he’s reached the bed, he gently dropped his boyfriend and pounced on him before he could escape. Very quickly, he also started dropping little pecks all over his face, ignoring his lover’s attempts at jokingly pushing him away.
He only stopped when his Zhan-ge wrapped his arms around his neck, smiling brightly at him, “And is that supposed to be you? The best?”
The younger couldn’t help but lean down and press a chaste kiss onto his lover’s soft lips. He wanted to say a multitude of things—to shout out every little thing he would do for Xiao Zhan to show his love. If he were better with words, he’d write him odes, he’d definitely write him poetry. He’d write him essays dedicated to the little crinkle on both sides of his eyes, or the way his smile could light up the dimmest of rooms. He’d talk of how he deserved nothing but the best treatment, the utmost respect, the most immense happiness the world could ever offer but—
But he was Wang Yibo. And words weren’t his forte, so he’ll just have to show him. That he’d do everything in his power to achieve it.
Pulling back, he smiled down at the most beautiful man, “I could be.”
There were a few seconds of stunned silence. Bright eyes blinked up at Yibo, a number of emotions passing through them as seconds passed, before it settled for something akin to—
“Gross.”
A surprised cackle burst out of Yibo’s chest, a wide grin now definitely pasted on his face, “You motherfucker—”
IV.
Wang Yibo woke up to the sound of movement outside the bedroom. Blinking the sleep away, he took a huff and carefully detached himself from his boyfriend’s tight hold to check what exactly could be making that much noise in the morning. He grabbed his discarded jeans on the floor, wore them in a rush, biting the inside of his cheek, trying to recall if his Zhan-ge had a housemate. Or perhaps a housekeeper?
Slowly, he opened the door to find a lady standing in the middle of the living room, take-out coffee in one hand and a brown paper bag in the other. She looked older than him, wearing sleek corporate attire, hair tied up to a neat bun. She blinked at Wang Yibo, stunned for a moment, then recognition quickly taking over.
“Ah! Wang Yibo, right? You’re the brat’s boyfriend.”
Yibo blinked at the lady, his turn to be stunned. He opened his mouth to answer but what came out was a quick, “Mn,” as a multitude of questions started to fill his head. Who are you? How’d you get in? What’re you holding? How’d you know about me? No, seriously, how’d you get in here?
“You—”
“Anyways. Here’s his breakfast. He was running his mouth like crazy ‘cause his little shit of a boyfriend apparently got into a fight again. Kept going on and on about how he was close to calling his students’ parents about how they kept picking fights with him—like people actually do that in university, Jesus,” She let out an amused chuckle, shaking her head as she walked towards the younger man, “He may look like the epitome of rainbows and butterflies, but that kid has the sharpest tongue. He doesn’t even need to cuss, jeez.”
She handed the paper bag to Yibo and he couldn’t really do much besides accept it. She gave him a knowing smile, “But since you’re here, I’m guessing you two settled it out and he won’t be murdering any students any time soon?” Once again, the dance major couldn’t help but blink at this stranger, somewhat heartened by how she’s talking about Xiao Zhan so freely, so comfortably, so crudely. He has not really met anyone who spoke of Xiao Zhan this way.
“You’re—”
“Okay, I’m off. Make sure to give him that. It's his comfort food. Plus, he usually forgets to eat in the morning—a fucking toddler, that’s what he is.”
In a blink, Yibo was all alone in the apartment’s living room, little paper bag in hand. He took a moment to process everything that happened, trying to remember every information about Xiao Zhan he just learned in a span of a few minutes—his friend (?) has a spare key to his apartment, he forgets his breakfast, whatever was inside this bag was his comfort food, he wants to fight students for fighting with Yibo, his friends call him a fucking toddler—before blinking even more because what?
Before Yibo could let out any confused sound, he hears soft footsteps from behind him. Turning slightly, he found his boyfriend walking towards him, one hand rubbing at his eyes sleepily, “Was that Yang Zi?”
“Yang Zi?” Something clicked in the student’s head, recognition filling his eyes, “Oh. That’s your uni best friend Yang Zi?”
“Mhm,” Now that Xiao Zhan was nearer, Yibo let himself lean close, kissing his cheek as a greeting. The professor smiled softly at him, eyes still droopy, “G’morning to you too.” In return, he leaned close again and gave Yibo a quick peck on the lips, making Yibo grin as well. Pulling back, the older very quickly spotted the bag in the student’s hand—the way his eyes widened in excitement should be beyond illegal with how adorable it was, jeez. In a flash, he’s already grabbed the bag from Yibo, bouncing happily on the heels of his feet when he peeked at the contents of it.
“Oh my god.”
Hurriedly, he pulled out a pastry, smiling so widely at Yibo that his eyes have turned to little crescents, his bunny teeth at full display, “I’m going to make you taste the best thing your tongue’s ever had, Wang Yibo.”
Wang Yibo raised a brow at that, “Oh? I thought you’ve already let me have that last night?” To add to his teasing, he pinched his boyfriend’s ass. Unsurprisingly, he was hit hard in retaliation, making him cackle hard. Shaking his head, Yibo looked at the pastry, tilting his head in amusement, “Okay, okay. Tell me about this pastry, Lao Xiao. Educate this uncultured disciple.”
Xiao Zhan rolled his eyes at him but proceeded to talk about the pastry, nonetheless, taking little bites in between his explanation. Soon enough, they’ve transferred to sit comfortably on the couch, a pastry also now in Yibo’s hand as he listened closely to his boyfriend’s excited ramble that’s jumped from pastries to Yang Zi to his university life and more.
As Yibo chewed, he made sure to take note of each and every detail. He likes the pastries in the bakery just below Yang Zi’s apartment. He gave Yang Zi a spare key because there was a time he lost his glasses and couldn’t find his own keys. He considers Yang Zi as his sister, and they’ve been taking care of each other since his second year in university.
“Sometimes, she helps me clean because I’m not exactly the most organized person. She keeps calling me a slob, but really, messy can so be organized!”
Yibo huffed out a chuckle at this, adding he’s a slob to his list—endearment filling his entire being as he continued listening. He couldn’t help but think he still had so much to learn about his lover, and somehow, that excited him, that he could add more to his already-lengthening list of what he already knew about Xiao Zhan.
“So do you like it?”
The student blinked himself out of his thoughts, taking a few seconds to realize his boyfriend was talking about the pastry. At this, he took a bite again, chewing carefully and letting the taste of sweet jam mixed along with the light taste of the pastry cover his palate. He took in the subtle breeze coming from the window, the calmness of the ambiance of just sitting with his lover, the soft morning light covering the corners of the apartment.
He took in the image of his lover watching him in anticipation, shoulders unconsciously raised in probable excitement. He took in the exhilarating feeling of love, of comfort, of warmth, and the possibility that he had days, weeks, months, years of being able to drown in these feelings and hopefully learning and unlocking more feelings with Xiao Zhan—before swallowing.
“I love it.”
Xiao Zhan’s delighted giggle was beyond rewarding.
End.
