Barefoot

Summary:

"Gosh Gaon you're lucky not a woman, that man would've swept you away from your job and made you barefoot and pregnant keeping his house." Soohyung had joked when she found out where he was living. Gaon didn't say anything back, because all he could think of was Yohan trying to get him pregnant.

Notes:

Author’s note: I wrote this instead of working on the longer E rated fic I’m working on. This is much more on the cutesy side with a dash of Gaon being an over thinker. Hope you enjoy?

Work Text:

"Gosh Gaon you're lucky you're not a woman, that man would have swept you away from your job and made you barefoot and pregnant, keeping his house." Soohyun was crazy and also his best friend. Gaon couldn't help but but regret telling her about his currant living situation. His stomach churned at the distasteful way she'd sneered it.

Seriously, who just out and said something like that? It was- him and Yohan were not having sex! That wasn't what anything was about. And even if they were, what right did she have to say anything about it? Also, Gaon certainly didn't need to be a woman to be swept off his feet. Even if it wasn't in a sexual way, Yohan did that to nearly every person he met. Mystifying and taking charge was kind of his thing.

The older man wasn't taken with him or in love with him. Gaon was convinced that he barely even tolerated him! It might be a keep your friends close and your enemies closer. He'd moved in by almost accident, it being the safest place for him when injured. He continued to be there only because Yohan liked to have someone to argue with and Elijah liked his cooking. That girl deserved all the good food in the world for putting up with her crazy uncles antics.

And he tried not to think about Yohan's sex life. He'd mentioned once seeing a woman who had tied him down and had her way with him a bit, and Gaon had run away from the conversation. Was that what he liked? Woman? Or being tied down specifically? If he was trying to get Gaon pregnant would he hold him down for hours or days, making him go crazy for his co-

Oh, his heart hurt. Guys couldn't get pregnant anyways, so the whole line of thought was stupid. And Soohyun was still standing there just waiting for him to answer. Did Yohan like him, even a little bit? He had asked why Gaon was still there even after he had healed. Elijah seemed to like him, or at least his cooking. It had just been nice imaging that he belonged there.

"Gaon, are you alright? You're looking really pale all the sudden." Soohyun finally asked, giving up on waiting for him. She was pretty impatient, and the familiarity of it made Gaon at least smile. Yohan had smiled at him a couple of times and they had also stayed in his mind.

"Yeah, just not feeling very well. I'm gonna head home early and get some sleep." Gaon lied, He wasn't planning on going home, he was going back to his own apartment to think about things. "Sorry." He added on when he realized that he was just abandoning his plans with his best friend. They barely got to hang out anymore since he'd started this job. Maybe that's why her jab felt extra uncalled for.

"Geez, you shouldn't over work yourself to this point! Take better care of yourself, dumbo." Soohyun scowled completely oblivious that something was wrong. Perhaps she didn't care that she'd just tilted his world off of it access. She was just always kind of like that.

So he went back to his tiny top level apartment, watered and took care of his plants and sat quietly in a chair. If the Kang's mansion was huge and quiet, this place was deafening. He only had his own thoughts for company here. Maybe he should get a cat of his own, just to have a little living being in here with him. That would take some research though, some of his plants could be toxic to cats. He wouldn't want a little one to get sick because he was careless.

Gaon wished Soohyun hadn't said anything, because he was just so lonely. Life hadn't seemed this sad before it had been pointed out. It felt like those original horrible days when he'd just lost his family and had to be alone all over again. He'd cried himself to sleep a lot in those days, and tore up his skin during fights to feel something. Gaon at the very least, realized he'd matured a bit since then.

He cooked himself a simple meal of rice and stir-fried kimchi, thinking about how badly his fridge needed to be cleaned out after not being there for weeks. Some things were going to start moving if he didn't deal with them soon. So gross. And a bit of a waste for what had been good food. There were so many people without jobs these days that were out on the street or couldn't afford food on top of rent 4 days of the week. He'd honestly been there himself during his last 2 years of university, as loans just weren't enough and he never quite had the time for a proper job.

He'd worked while he could, doing whatever was needed. Sometimes doing jobs that weren't probably proper or good for him to be doing. He couldn't help but wonder if Yohan found that out about him. Probably, with resources like his there was no way he would have missed it. Gaon wasn't ashamed to have served tables at a strip club before, but it was still embarrassing. The amount of times he'd been groped by wandering hands had been what made him want to hide it.

A knock on the door drug Gaon out of his thoughts and he was shocked to see that while he was busy with his own head, it had gotten dark out. That was kind of embarrassing. He'd apparently come here on his day off to sit quietly and unmoving in the corner of his small apartment. He had had so many things to do today and still had done none of them. And- oh right the knock on the door.

Another knock had Gaon cautiously getting up and going to his front door. When was the last time he had a visitor that had knocked? Soohyun never did knock anymore. The only one who did was his land lady, and he swore he paid rent this month already. Like right before he started staying with Yohan. He couldn't be behind in rent right? Shit, if he was where even was his wallet?

He opened the door, wishing that he had a peep hole or something to tell who was at his door. He wasn't into talking to anyone he didn't know right now and there was always the chance that someone had hunted him down because of his job at the courts. Opening a door should never feel this dangerous!

Instead of either of those options, when he opened the door Yohan was standing there, looking a bit pissed off. His heart beat fast and he tried to process it. What was he doing here? Gaon had never pictured him coming all the way here. He looked much to regal and powerful to be on Gaon's side of the city.

"Wha?" He said unintelliengtly, mouth opening and closing much likes fish. He felt stupid and was sure he looked it.

Yohan seemed to roll his eyes at Gaon's stupidity. He pushed Gaon backward slightly and made his way inside taking a look around. He looks angry, then shocked and it's quickly changed to put out. "This is where you live?" He tone sounds disgusted, but Gaon tries not to take it to heart. It was quite the change from the mansion after all.

Gaon looked back at his own small place. A room with a couch in it and most of his earthly possessions, laundry hung up and carefully folded in the corner. A tiny kitchenette with half fridge. A rice cooker, large hot plate burner but no oven. Two doors, one that led to a bathroom and one that had his closet bedroom. He loved this place, had lived here for several years now. The best part was his balcony which he'd covered in plants. This was the home he'd worked hard for to have for himself. It probably looked like a hovel to Yohan.

"Yes, this is my home." Gaon answered, trying not show that he was embarrassed. He wouldn't, he was proud of what he's managed to do with his life. Hard work and determination after a rough start, long night where he cried.

Yohan looked kind of tense for a minute and hen sighed. "I'm here to take you back home, you've made Elijah worry about you." He put a special emphasis on the word home, so that Gaon would know just what he meant.

His heart was racing, but he still remembered those words Soohyun had spoken earlier today. "I'm not- It's time I come back here, my burns have healed. I'm just in the way there. If you want someone to come home to and cook you dinner, you should advertise that your looking for a wife. Some of your fans would die to be with you like that." Gaon explained, trying to not show that he was breaking his own heart by talking.

A look of annoyance shot over Yohan's face again, but Gaon was always pretty annoying. Or so he'd always been told anyways. By Soohyun and anyone who'd talk to him growing up. To bad the annoyance on Yohan's face hurt his heart in a way that nothing else ever had.

He was unexpectedly grabbed around the waist and pulled flush against the older man. A gasp left his mouth in his surprise and his hand went upward to clutch at Yohan's shoulders. His face felt hot, and his eyes darted all over the place. What exactly was happening?

"Gaon, why would I have a wife when I could have you." He said like it was nothing. Like that was just something that happened everyday. Was that even a confession? The man never made anything easy on Gaon.

"S-sir." Gaon nearly whined, having trouble keeping himself in check. He was sure he was blushing red.

"Call me Seobangnim." Yohan drawled, low and teasing. He should be careful with a tone like that, he might get into trouble with all the suitors that lined up to see him. They'd have to double the security at the courthouse if that happened.

"You just keep teasing me sir." Gaon finally complained, not liking this joke any longer.

Yohan smiled at him, before physically dipping Gaon's body and kissing him. Gaon for his part in it all was shocked, but didn't resist. Oh, had everyone else seen it besides him? Probably, he'd never been very good at picking up romance cues.

The lips on his were rough, but honestly who would have thought that Kang Yohan would be any different then that? He was possessive, dark and powerful. He took what he wanted and kept it. And for the first time in a very long time he felt wanted. Very wanted. Especially with those lips plundering his.

It was over to fast in his opinion, but Gaon was now sure that there would be other times in the future. And the words that Yohan spoke to him after were nearly as good as their first press of lips. "Come back home. I'll never be able to sleep without knowing that your safe anymore."

"Oh, is that why you come into my room as you please when you think I'm sleeping?" Gaon found the courage to challenge. Kissed and possessed as he was, he still wasn't about to roll over and just be taken as Yohan pleased. Maybe the barefoot and pregnant comment was still stinging in the back of his mind.

"Brat." Yohan simply said in response, taking Gaon's hand and leading him out the door. His car was parked out front, looking much too expensive for a neighborhood such as this.

The next time Gaon returned he was probably going to hear all kinds of rumors about himself because of the fact that he let himself be tucked and buckled into this car. The fact that he was smiling ear to ear probably wouldn't help.

Whatever, he was going home. With the man who'd come to fetch him and kissed him. Gaon was pretty happy with just that, no other words needed. Seriously though, what would Yohan be like trying to get him pregnant if they could conceive?
