Negaduck ran as fast as possible towards his motorcycle and away from the burning building. Nothing and nobody would stop him from escaping now. At least that's what he thought. Because suddenly he heard Darkwing's desperate voice scream: “Help! Gosalyn! Gosalyn is still in there!”
The villain immediately stopped. Before his eyes he saw his own daughter. Lyn. A young duck in a pink dress. She was his everything. In the distance you could already hear the fire brigade's siren. He looked at Darkwing Duck, who was injured and lying on the floor with tears in his eyes. The hero couldn't get up and by the time the fire department arrives it will be too late. For Negs the case was clear and he sprinted towards the building without hesitation. Darkwing looked up in confusion as the villain whizzed past him. “Negaduck! What are you doing?!“ “Save your daughter!”, he replied and disappeared into the flames.
With the collar of his sweater over his beak, Negaduck protected himself from the smoke as he walked back the way he and Darkwing had escaped. The sweat ran down his white feathered body. It was hard to keep his eyes open, but he had no choice. After all, his and Gosalyn's lives were at stake. Maybe even Darkwing's. He would never forgive himself if Gosalyn died on one of his missions.
Then he noticed something purple out of the corner of his eye. Immediately, Negs looked to the left. A small, unconscious redhead lay about two meters away from him. Gosalyn. Negaduck quickly went to the girl and knelt down. He undid his cape and wrapped Gos in the black and red fabric, to give her extra protection.
Without wasting any more time, Negaduck picked up the bundle and held it carefully and firmly in his arms. He then got up immediately and fought his way through the flames to the exit. Breathing became harder and harder and his body ached. Soon he saw the emergency services flashing blue light. It wasn't far! He bravely went on and got closer and closer to his goal until he finally made it. He was outside! Paramedics and firefighters immediately approached the villain. He just managed to hand them Gosalyn when his strength completely left him and his vision went black. He collapsed and passed out.
