Chapter Text
Desmond felt his head was going to explode.
It wasn't just because of the heavy hit to his when he got kidnapped but also from the memories that kept surfacing.
Memories that strangely felt like his and not his at the same time, memories of different places, different times, different lives yet they didn't feel foreign.
Memories of different people with the same soul.
Shams, Elio, Aelius, Dai, Karáhkwa, Lucian, Aiden and Desmond.
"Don't panic" a feminine voice said then Desmond felt two soft hands over his eyes, the hands were cold and it soothed his headache. He was lying on the ground but head was on the woman's lap.
"Who…"Desmond wanted to ask but the woman interrupted him.
"Hush, calm your thoughts, these are all past and gone. Focus on the present because you are in grave danger." The woman moved her hands away from his eyes so Desmond was able to open his eyes and see the mysterious woman.
"You are an Isu!" Desmond, through his past lives memories, knew of precursors and pieces of Eden. He frowned, none of those memories included anything good about them. He started looking around but there was nothing except endless bright white space, there was nothing else there beside him and the woman.
"Why is Isu helping me? What do you want?" He asked.
"You don't remember me?" The mysterious woman said, her expression was a mixture of surprise and sadness.
"Should i? My memory is still a little foggy." Her sad expression made a sense of dread rise inside him which surprised Desmond himself.
"Well yes we know each other before but it's understandable that you don't remember as it was a long time ago." The mysterious woman smiled sadly.
"I wanted to meet you again sooner but unfortunately I didn't have the opportunity. I want to celebrate meeting you again but we are short of time so tell me Desmond what is the oldest memory you have?"
Desmond thought a little, his brain was still a mess but he could tell the oldest were Shams' memories.
"The Crusades but my memories have gaps in them, I can't remember some parts of every lives" Desmond said, it felt weird, the fact that he actually lived at the time of the crusades.
"That's better nothing, this will make explaining everything easier, listen Desmond the whole world is in danger, you need to remember your past lives with help of Animus. We don't have much time until the flare is coming."
"What? Why would the world be in danger? Is it templars doing? What is Animus? What is the flare?" Desmond had questions but the woman's body started dissolving in the air.
"Wait, where are you going? You didn't explain shit, you didn't even tell me your name."
The woman made an amused smile. "You don't need an explanation, Desmond. You already know everything, you just need to remember and Animus will help you with that."
Her body was completely gone at this point and only her head remained floating in the air.
"And my name is Luna." Then she was gone and a blinding light swallowed Desmond.
