Love at first-

Summary:

No one has ever stood up to the Manager before-

Notes:

In this, Alex is the CEO, but very hands on, and since they don't show their face very often, no one knows it's them. Morgan is a new hire. Alex uses they/them and Morgan she/her in this.

Also, lighthouse raiders, when you read this, I hope you enjoy, and I apologize for the shortness. I hope it may appease you and Mr. Gibbles

Work Text:

Alex- really should not have been as stunned as they felt. No one, and they did mean no one, had ever had the audacity to call out the manager to his face.

Which was absolutely not to say he didn't deserve it. Alex had lost track of the amount of sexist, arrogant, and/or stupid things the man had pulled out of his rear over the years. But still, no one dared to call him out on it, and, well, Alex was here to make profit, and the man was efficient. But this new hire- Morgan, if they were remembering correctly- was absolutely ruthless.

Point by point, she listed every single quality she had noticed in the past month (month!) she had worked there. Everything from the belittling comments he made to the unsupervised breaks, even the times he stole pens. Every detail was accounted for and beautifully laid out to the regional manager, in front of the rest of the staff. There would be no choice left but to fire the man.

The regional manager glanced at Alex desperately- why he wanted to keep the man Alex had no idea- but Alex only shrugged. Who were they to stop the absolute disaster Morgan was raining down upon him.

Honestly, the amount of dedication Morgan had put into this was impressive. Everything from the timing to the points had been laid out beautifully. Even the way she stood was impressive, full of stead fast confidence in her plot. She was practically glowing under the harsh fluorescent office lights. Honestly, it almost made Alex want to-

Fuck.
