Sam and Anthony were never that close. Anthony was usually on his tablet and Sam was out with her friends. First with Aisha and then later on with Yasmine and Moon. Even then she always cared about her little brother and could notice something was off.
Sam sighed and knocked gently Anthony’s door. When she didn’t hear anything, she opened the door. Anthony was lying in his bed staring at the ceiling and didn’t even bother to look at her.
“Hey, how are you doing?” Sam asked which Anthony just shrugged his shoulders.
“Mom and dad told me you were grounded. They didn’t tell me why though”, Sam started carefully and sat on the edge of the bed. Anthony didn’t say anything for a while and Sam was really going to lose it if her brother ignored her while she was trying to be a good sister.
“I was a total asshole to this one kid”, Anthony said in a tone that meant he didn’t want to talk about it. Sam wasn’t going to give up that easily.
“What did you do to them?”
“I made fun of him, stole his clothes, made his locker flood milk”, Anthony explained quietly apparently only now realizing what he had done.
“How do you flood someone’s locker with milk? You know what, I don’t even want to know”, Sam raised her eyebrows. Anthony looked at her annoyed. Sam knew too well that what Anthony was talking about bullying and before she would’ve probably yelled at him but training in Eagle Fang had taught her that everything is not black and white. The damage was already done and yelling wouldn’t fix it. Instead she hugged her brother and whispered:
“There is still tomorrow.”
