Chapter Text
Pedro doesn't do it on purpose, but he likes to observe Sanji.
It starts innocently, almost with boredom because there's not much else to do on board. So he can't quite tell when it morphs into following dress shoes around the deck. Counting the cigarettes that have been between thin lips. Watching the sea breeze play with golden strands.
"You stare too much." Sanji tells him one day.
"Is that a problem?"
"Not really. It's just there's not much to look at, s'all I'm saying."
He sounds sincere enough. Not in a 'tell me I'm wrong' way. The gorgeous man before him truly believes there's nothing much to him. By his logic, Pedro figures, the only thing worth staring that much at are beautiful ladies.
Sanji doesn't say anything else after that. He stares at the sea while finishing a cig (he never leaves a stub anything but minuscule). Pedro thinks the darks circles around his eyes are bigger. But he also doesn't say anything. They don't make Sanji any less pretty.
