Glenn was at Rick's house watching a movie.
Rick turned to Glenn and asked,", Glenn do you like Daryl?"
"Is it really that obvious?"Glenn asked.
"To me and Negan it is", Rick told him.
"Whatever you do, Rick, don't tell Daryl".
"Why?"
"Because he's straight and I don't want to lose our friendship", Glenn said, avoiding eye contact with Rick.
It was the truth. Ever since the first day Glenn laid eyes on Daryl… he fell deeply in love with the man. Whenever Daryl came over to Rick's and Glenn was there… Glenn would take pictures of Daryl without him knowing. Glenn asked Rick and Daryl for a group picture just so he could have a picture of Daryl smiling. He cropped the picture so it was just Daryl smiling. Glenn never was alone with Daryl and never wanted to be alone with him because he knew he would feel awkward, and his anxiety would go up. So whenever he hung out with Daryl… it was always with Rick or with Rick and his friends. Rick was Daryls best friend. Glenn knows Daryl only sees him as a friend. He replays what he wants to tell Daryl in his mind so he doesn't fuck anything up.
"I'm sorry Glenn".
"It's okay. It's not the end of the world", Glenn said.
Glenn knew he would love Daryl for eternity. He would rather be friends with him than not friends at all.
"Daryl just texted me that he's here".
"Okay".
A smile appeared on his face. He hasn't seen Daryl in a week and he missed him. Glenn didn't have Daryl's number… mainly because he was too nervous to ask the man. He didn't want Daryl to say no and have rejection hit him in the face. So he never asked.
Rick got up from the couch and opened the door for Daryl. Daryl entered and had boxes of pizzas in his hands. Rick closed the door behind him.
"Are you men ready to eat?"Daryl asked.
"Yes!"Glenn yelled as he jumped off the couch.
"Hi Glenn", Daryl greeted him as he laid the pizzas on the table.
"Hey, Daryl. How was your week?"
"It was good. Me and Paul got wasted yesterday at the bar and then I had to drag a very much passed out Paul to my truck", Daryl laughed.
Glenn laughed along and asked,", Who's Paul?"
"I work with him. He's nice", Daryl answered.
"Cool", Glenn awkwardly answered.
"Here are the plates", Rick said as he handed his friends paper plates.
They grabbed their pizza and put it on the paper plates. They are at the table and talking while they eat. Rick and Daryl were in a deep conversation.
And then Rick asked, "So Daryl are you seeing anyone right now?"
"I ain't seeing no one", Daryl replied as took a sip of his cold water.
"Daryl you gotta get out there", Rick said.
" I ain't really interested in dating", Daryl replied. Which was the truth. Daryl didn't really like getting out there and dating. He didn't care about drama, however… he did like Glenn but would never tell him that because he's afraid to. He also thinks Glenn is straight.
Glenn felt his heart sink. The words I ain't really interested in dating kept replaying in his head. He was saddened by the news.
"So there's no one you like?"Rick asked. Rick was trying to see if Daryl would spill the beans and tell him.
"Okay well there's this one person I like but I don't see it going anywhere", Daryl admitted.
"Daryl, that's amazing. You gonna tell her how you feel".
"Nah, I'm good. Truth is I'm fine with being single forever".
"Seriously Daryl?"Rick asked.
"Yeah".
Glenn didn't say a single word, he just listened to their conversations.
Rick changed the topic and they talked about other stuff.
Glenn didn't say much. He mostly listened to their conversations. Glenn told them he had to go. So they said their goodbyes to Glenn and Glenn left.
Rick turned back to Daryl. "Be honest with me Daryl. But do you like Glenn?"
"What? I ain't no fag!"
"Don't don't lie, I see the way you look at Glenn".
" I already told you I ain't a fag!"Daryl yelled. "I'm out of here".
"Daryl!"Rick called.
But Daryl already walked out the door and got into his car. He left in a hurry. Daryl was gay but wasn't ready to admit that to anyone yet especially Rick. The fact that Rick realized that made Daryl angry. He thought no one knew. He drove home.
Rick tried to reply to him but Daryl ignored his texts and calls. A few hours later Daryl decided to tell Rick the truth.
Daryl: Sorry for running off. I'm not good with confrontation.
Rick: It's okay.
Daryl: Yeah, I like Glenn.
Rick was screaming and jumping up and down. His two best friends liked each other.
Rick: Are you going to tell Glenn?
Daryl: Never.
Rick: Why is that?
Daryl: Because I'm terrible at dating. I always mess everything up.
Rick: Daryl don't say that. Glenn is perfect for you.
Daryl: I don't know what to do.
Rick: Why don't you invite Glenn over to your house and maybe y'all can watch a movie or something.
Daryl: I don't have his number.
Rick: Wait seriously?
Daryl: Yes, I never asked him for it.
Rick: I'll send you his number.
Daryl: Okay.
Rick texted Daryl Glenn's number. Daryl saved Glenn's number to his contacts and proceeded to text him.
Daryl: Hi Glenn, it's me, Daryl. I wanted to know if you wanted to hang out tomorrow? By the way, Rick gave me your number.
Glenn looked at the message and instantly got butterflies. He didn't know what to say. Daryl never texted him before. Plus hanging out with Daryl alone seemed nerve-wracking to him. It took him a full ten minutes to finally respond.
Glenn: Sure. What time?
Daryl: Around 2?
Glenn: Okay just send me your address.
Glenn felt so awkward texting Daryl. Daryl sent his address and Glenn told him Good Night since he needed sleep.
Daryl was happy that Glenn was coming over.
Glenn woke up and showered. He didn't eat breakfast and decided to eat at Daryls. He couldn't wait to see Daryl. He pulled his phone out and it was 1 pm. He texted Rick.
Glenn: I'm so nervous. I'm going over to Daryl's place and I'm freaking out.
Rick: Everything will be fine. Just be yourself.
Glenn: I know but it's Daryl, the man I love. I feel like I'm going to mess things up.
Rick: Glenn you gotta stop worrying so much. Everything will be fine. If you want you can text me about how things are going and I can help you out so you don't worry as much.
Glenn: Thanks Rick that will actually help a lot.
Glenn finished texting Rick and finished getting ready. By 1:30 He left the house and put Daryl's address in his GPS and started driving to Daryl's.
The closer he got to Daryls the more his anxiety went up. By the time he got to Daryls… his anxiety was all the way up. He walked up to the porch and rang the doorbell. The door opened and it was Paul. Instantly Glenn thought he was at the wrong door.
"I-I uh", Glenn stuttered.
"And you must be Glenn?", Paul replied.
"Yeah… and you are?"Glenn asked.
"Paul Rovia but most people call me Jesus because of my long hair and beard", Paul said.
"Oh, it's nice to meet you then", Glenn said as he raised his hand.
Paul shook Glenn's hand. "You too".
Glenn came inside the house and asked:", So where's Daryl?"
"He's in the kitchen ordering the pizza", Paul answered.
An hour earlier at Daryl's house:
Daryl was nervous to be alone with Glenn, So he decided to invite Paul over. Hopefully, Paul said yes because then Daryl would have to find someone else to invite over.
Daryl: What are you doing today?
Paul: Nothing.
Daryl: Good, Come over.
Paul: To save you from boredom?
Daryl: I wish but no. My friend Glenn is coming over and I don't want to be alone with him.
Paul: Daryl are you telling me that you like guys?!
Daryl: Yes. So can you come over?
Paul: Yes I will. I'll be there soon.
20 minutes later, Paul showed up at Daryl's house. They went over to the couch and sat down and Paul decided to ask questions about Glenn.
"So who's Glenn?", he asked Daryl.
"He's my friend", he answered.
"So you gonna tell this Glenn guy you like him today?".
"Maybe not, I don't know. I'm nervous. That's why I invited you over", Daryl replied.
"So does Glenn like you?"
"Honestly I don't know".
"Hmm, well when he comes over… I'm going to do some investigating", Paul grinned.
"Yeah, and when you do that… Tell me your thoughts", Daryl grinned back.
"Don't worry I will", Paul said.
Back to Glenn and Paul:
They walked over to Kitchen and found Daryl on the phone. Daryl finished the call and greeted Glenn.
They all ended back on the couch. Daryl sat in between Glenn and Jesus. They were watching the office. Daryl and Paul talked about their favorite scenes in the show.
Glenn's leg was touching Daryls and it made him feel even more nervous. He pulled his leg away from his and started texting Rick.
Glenn: I'm not alone with Daryl. He invited his friend Paul. And they are talking non-stop. I feel like the third wheel and I kinda want to leave.
Rick: I'm sorry about that Glenn. If you end up leaving… you can always come by my place.
Glenn: If I do leave. Then I'll have to think of an excuse.
Rick: Say your mom's car won't start and she's at the store and needs you to pick her up.
Glenn: I actually like that. I'll go with that. Call me and pretend to be my mom.
Rick: Okay😆.
Rick called Glenn and Glenn quickly answered his phone and put it to his ear.
"Glenn when you come over… bring some beer and Twizzlers", Rick said.
"Don't worry mom I'm on my way", Glenn said loudly.
Daryl looked at Glenn with a confused look. Glenn looked back and said", My mom got a flat tire at the store and I need to go pick her up".
"Oh Okay", Daryl replied. He was a bit sad that Glenn was leaving so early but he understood that Glenn needed to help his Mom. "Hopefully we can hang out again sometime this week Glenn".
"DEFINITELY! Anyways bye Daryl and Paul. Y'all have a fun time".
"Don't worry we will", Paul told him.
Glenn left in a hurry. Glenn stopped by the store, got beers and Twizzlers. He then drove to Rick's.
Maybe it would have been different if it was just him and Daryl.
Glenn arrived at Rick's and went inside his house. They were on the couch drinking beers.
" I think Daryl will only ever see me as a friend and nothing more", Glenn replied.
"That's not true Glenn".
"Sadly it is".
"No, it's not. Daryl likes you too, Glenn. He's just nervous. Like you are."
"How do you know?", Glenn asked as he raised his eyebrow.
"Because Daryl told me".
"He did?"Glenn asked again, having to make sure what Rick said was true.
"Yes! Daryl is not good with showing his feelings. I asked him if he was going to tell you how he felt and he said never. I asked him why and Daryl said because he's terrible at dating. Daryl wants to be with you Glenn and well you want to be with him. I think step 1 needs to be you and him alone together."
"That makes two of us. I'm afraid to tell Daryl how I feel because I'm also terrible at dating. I would love to be alone with him but I don't see that happening."
"Well I'm going to make it happen", Rick said smiling.
"How?"Glenn asked.
"By inviting you two to my house. And like half an hour in… I'm going to tell you guys that I'm going to go pick up dinner for us, leaving you two all alone together. I'm going to make sure to be gone for 2 hours so one of y'all need to spill the beans".
"That could actually work. I'll tell Daryl how I feel since I doubt he will speak first."
"Sounds like a good deal".
Glenn smiled at Rick and Rick smiled back at him

A few weeks later, Glenn barely texted Daryl. Rick invited them both over saying that he wanted to show them a new movie he bought.
Glenn showered up an hour early and Daryl showered up 30 minutes late.
They all gathered on the couch and Rick put the movie on.
Rick sat between Glenn and Daryl because Glenn didn't want to sit next to Daryl. Glenn barely spoke and watched the movie. About an hour through the movie, Rick paused the movie and said:
"I'm gonna go pick us up some burgers, so text me your orders", Rick said as he stood up.
"You want me to come with you?"Daryl asked.
"No, you don't need to. You can finish the movie though. I've seen it lots of time so I know what happens", Rick replied.
"Okay", Daryl said.
Rick left. Glenn and Daryl texted Rick their orders. In the meantime, Glenn pressed play on the movie. Even though Glenn knew Daryl liked him back… he still felt extremely nervous. He could feel his anxiety going up. His legs were shaking a bit. He couldn't concentrate on the movie because his thoughts were on Daryl.
Daryl seemed to notice and asked,", Glenn are you okay?".
Glenn looked at Daryl and shook his head. "To be honest with not really".
"Wanna talk about it?", Daryl asked
"No", Glenn replied.
Daryl just nodded.
Then Daryl felt his phone buzz and he looked at his phone and it was a message from Rick.
Rick: Now that you and Glenn are all alone… you can tell him how you feel.
Daryl: That ain't happening.
Rick: Well it won't happen unless you tell Glenn.
Daryl: I'm still not telling him!
Glenn noticed Daryl was texting someone and asked:", Who are you texting?"
Daryl decided to lie and said", Uh Paul, he's asking me something".
Glenn just nodded. He felt like Daryl was lying but didn't say anything.
Rick: Glenn likes you too, you idiot!
Daryl: That's bullshit!
Rick: And I told him you like him back…
Daryl: What? Why the hell would do that for?
Rick: Because my best friends are in love with each other and are too scared to tell each other how they feel. Also, I'm turning my phone off now… so good luck buddy.
Daryl was in shock and he put his phone back in his pocket. Now he knew why Glenn was acting all nervous. He liked Glenn and Glenn liked him. Daryl scooted closer to Glenn.
"What are you doing Daryl?", Glenn asked a bit nervously.
"I'm gonna try something", Daryl replied.
"Okay and that is?".
"All you need to do is close your eyes and then I'm gonna put something in your hand and you have to guess what it is".
"That sounds kinda lame Daryl".
"It's not lame. Anyways just do it", Daryl told him.
"Alright but you better not put anything gross in my hands", Glenn informed.
"I promise".
"Okay good", Glenn said.
Glenn closed his eyes.
"No peeking Glenn".
Glenn just nodded.
Daryl put a hand behind Glenn's head and went for it. He kissed him.
Glenn immediately opened his eyes. He was shocked by what just happened. He returned the kiss a few seconds later. Glenn put his hand on Daryl's shoulder. The two men kissed for almost a minute. Daryl pulled away and looked into Glenn's eyes. Glenn was smiling and Daryl smiled back.
"I like you Glenn", Daryl confessed.
"I-I like you to Daryl. I wanted to tell you sooner but I felt like you would reject me", Glenn told him.
"I felt the same way", Daryl said.
Daryl pulled Glenn back into another kiss. Things got heated from there. Daryl pushed Glenn on the couch. He was in between Glenn's legs. Daryl's hands were all over Glenn's upper body. Glenn had one hand wrapped around Daryl. They continued to kiss.

They talked about the movie and the movie finished an hour later.

"Sure, What other movies does Rick have?" he asked Glenn.
"I don't know. We can just go on Netflix".
Daryl nodded and quickly grabbed the remote of the dining table before Glenn could.
"Too slow", Daryl grinned.
"Aww come on Daryl I was gonna find us a good movie", Glenn pouted and tried to grab the remote from Daryl.
Daryl stood up and ran. Glenn started chasing him around Rick's house. Daryl ran fast and they were both laughing so much. They ran upstairs and Daryl ran into Rick's bedroom, and Glenn followed after.
Glenn tried to grab the remote, and Daryl pushed him on the bed. Daryl fell on top of Glenn.

"And what's that?", he asked.
Daryl smiled at the younger man and pulled him into a kiss.

" Everything kinda just happened. We didn't plan it. It just happened. And for Rick uh I'm not sure where he is. He said he was getting food but that was hours ago… and his phone is off", Daryl said as he scratched his head.
"Okay but shit I wished you two didn't do the nasty on me and Rick's bed. I'm gonna have to burn those sheets", Negan informed.
Daryl smirked and asked,", So you aren't mad?"
"Uh no but uh do shit at your place", Negan told them both.
Daryl gave him a thumbs up.
Negan turned his head to Glenn and said:", You are awfully quiet there Glenny boy".
Glenn gave him an awkward half-smile and said, "Well I'm gonna take off and leave."
"Glenn, there's nothing to be ashamed of. People are always fuckin each other. Fucking Rick is the best part of my day", Negan said with a grin.
Glenn's mouth hung open. He wasn't sure what to say to that and let go of Daryl's hand. Before Negan could say anything else Glenn walked out of the house. He got in his car and put his seatbelt on.
"Glenny boy is such a scaredy-cat", Negan said looking at Daryl.
"Well, he didn't plan on anyone walking in on him… having sex for the first time", Daryl said as he looked down and avoided Negans eye contact.
Negan grinned widely", Holy shit that was his first time! Man must have been mortifying".
"He was… anyways don't tell Glenn I said that. I don't want to make him mad".
"Your secret is safe with me but I'm telling Ricky though".
"Okay, but you can only tell Rick. No one else", Daryl informed.
"I promise", Negan said with a smile.
Daryl nodded at him and said", I'm gonna go. See you later".
"Bye Daryl".
By the time Daryl got outside. Glenn was already gone. He pulled his phone out and saw the message Glenn left.
Glenn: Come over to my place 😘.
Daryl: I'm heading over right now.
Daryl left and went to Glenn's place.
Rick came home an hour later and Negan was on the couch smiling at him.
"Negan why the fuck are you smiling so big?"
"Guess who I caught having sex?"
"Uh? What?"Rick asked, confused.
"I walked in on Daryl and Glenn having sex".
"Wait for real!?", Rick yelled.
Negan nodded at him.
"That's crazy!"
Negan told Rick everything and after that Rick pulls his phone out and opens a group chat with Glenn and Daryl.
Rick: OMG Y'ALL HAD SEX ON MY BED!!!???
Daryl: Maybe…
Rick: Those were my favorite sheets!
Daryl: You can still keep them. Just wash them in hot water.

Glenn: Sorry Rick. We will buy you new sheets.
Rick: I forgive you both but don't let it happen again.
Daryl: It won't.
Rick: Good. Can't wait for my new sheets.
