Billy was turning back into his normal form when he saw her.
She ran across the roof tops, landing in the ally below right in front of his now shrunken body.
Billy’s world zeroed in on her. She saw him transform, she knows
Catwomen knows Shazam(an active hero for Two years and leaguer for one) is actually a nine year old child.
“A kitten like you shouldn’t be fighting crime” she seemed to be examining him, taking in his ragged state and obvious signs of malnourishment.
“Well a Cat like you shouldn’t be in Fawcett”
She grin at his response, regarding him one more time.
“Heard Fawcett has a expensive new cat statue that was begging to be stolen”
Billy gapped at her, not truly expecting her to admit to her potential crime so easily.
“Well I’m the city’s protector so I can’t allow you to do that”
“Yes the mightiest child I’ve ever seen, let’s see you’ve been active for two years now and to me you look nine at most so you started around seven, jeez kid not even the first Robin started that young and at least he has Batman , you kitten, look like a stray to me”
“I don’t need anyone I’m Shazam”
“Well it looks to me Shazam can’t get a job, so let’s make a deal I don’t expose you to your league buddy’s and trust me I have the connections to make that happen, or you come with me”
“This sound like a kidnap attempt next you’ll ask me to get into your white van”
“I won’t force you”
“You threatened me with blackmail”
“Look kitten I just can’t leave you to continue to put your life in danger”
“I survived this long”
“Correction you survived this long by pure luck, that doesn’t even bring in the topic of the messed up mental health all heroes have”
Both occupants in the ally glared at each other hoping for the other to back down, it was the younger who sighed in defeat.
“Why do you care”
“I’ve seen what the hero business does to someone both kids and adults and I know a kid needing a support system when I see one.”
She paused to look at him with a sad look than continued
“Please just consider it, I won’t stop you if you try to leave”
“Fine but if I see any funny business I’m gone”
She gave him a gentle smile.
That’s how Billy Batson became Billy Batson-Kyle.
But the real story starts exactly 3 months after this incident, when a little bird became curious.
Damian was swinging though Gotham, he was now eleven and a half years old and thought now father and Richard would let him patrol by himself.
They did not, Damian doesn’t understand their logic he wasn’t Drake or Todd so there was no reason for them stopping him.
He ended up arguing with both.
Now he swings though the city. Alone.
He notice a certain Catlover is out and Damian decided to confront her for whatever she has been planning these last 3 months, it’s not like he missed her or anything.
That’s how he ended following her to a building, on said building stood a child.
With black hair and blue eyes
They talked quickly and it ended with Catwomen giving him a motherly hug and kiss on the forehead
This could mean two things, Kyle picked up fathers addiction to adopting children or Father had another child he had no idea of
He’s leaning towards the latter given how he even knows of their relations.
He ended up reporting back to the cave, after his scolding from both father and Richard he explain his discovery(thankfully alllowing him to avoid his punishment, being no patrol)
And thats how Bruce Wayne almost had a heart attack.
