Work Text:
On a day like this, work would make him busy from one sunrise to the next; smoothing every wrinkle, making sure that his side was doing their best so the festival would go without any hiccup.
Yet this year, he was here, leaning against a pillar, sipping Osmanthus wine, watching each and every shell full of gunpowder blown into many shapes and colors. Not even a single piece of communication device. Honestly relaxing and enjoying the festival leisurely.
Though, he no longer wondered why. So far into this, he had grown accustomed- honestly , he had succumbed to the will of the tiny person standing beside him –like a wind, changing ever so often, forcefully so. No longer he fought it over, decided that it would do him better to just follow. As long as his work separated from the equation.
It was good for him anyway, so really, nothing to lose there.
Still, even during what supposed to be his down time, he was still very much dressing formally. So different from this tiny impactful doll, so into the spirit that he dressed in traditional inspired get up that tightly hugged his lithe body, showing every single curve, baring his back. Nothing was left to imagination.
–like it mattered anyway. He had seen every single bit of it. Exploring every nook and cranny of those soft and supple milky skin, placing his mark along the way.
He would be mad, usually. But tonight, only the two of them here, up in the balcony, away from crowds that would turn their head to the pretty doll, indecently staring, imagining, perhaps even whispering lustful scenarios that would happen if they get a hold of him.
There were times where he would flaunt the pretty him to everyone in a very boastful manner. Garnering ego from every erotic word that whispered, shooting his pride to the stratosphere. He would even parade it himself with the smug-est face in the entire world as he solidly held that small waist.
But, on a regular day to day basis like this, he was just a normal man like everyone else. If his dearly beloved was treated in such a way, no matter that it was just a hush-hush imagination that would never happen – ever , it still would boil him to the tip of his head, making whatever they were doing stressful and annoying.
However, it was a treat when he was the only one spoiled by such beauty. So sweet that it was quite hard to keep his hand from pulling on the ribbon on his back and unwrapping him like the precious present he was.
Diluc took a sip of his cup, knowing fully well that it did not apheas his thirst.
‘Oh well, I can do it latter,’
BOOOM
“Woaah!”
Another fireworks bloomed, creating loud noises that hurt his ears. But, it did nothing to drown the cute awe noises that his beloved made. He still could hear it clearly.
The doll’s face lit up, figuratively and literally. The pretty man looked even more beautiful as the colorful bloom of fiery sparks reflected on his face. Endearing and warm, filling his entire body with joy and happiness.
“Diluc~” he noticed his stare and turned to him. A smile brighter than the fireworks bloomed on the red lips. His hand then tugged, pulled, and wrapped by those slender hands and warm body.
“It’s fun, right?” he asked, sounding melodious even so casually.
He meant the event, the Lantern Rite Festival that was currently happening. He wasn’t talking about himself, who was so pretty and playful, enjoying himself to the fullest, unknowingly giving Diluc the best first hand experience of the festival.
He looked into the two toned viridescent of his eyes that stared at him back with twinkle, and gave a kiss to his forehead.
“Hn,” he grunted, lovering his kisses down into the chubby cheeks.
Whether they were on the same page did not matter anyway. Today was fun, that was it. He answered the question.
One soft and cute giggle was heard. Those slender yet strong hands freed his hand and moved to ‘hug’ his waist, flushing their body together ever so closely.
“Then, you don’t need any more fun right?” the tease and implied meaning was so apparent that he did not need to look into those eyes for confirmation.
Still, he did anyway. After all, even if it annoyed him more than he would like too, that cheeky expression on his face had become his favorite. Admittedly so.
In a swift move, one handedly, Venti was lifted. No yelp in surprise was heard. Rather, it was a giggle that was followed by slender hands hugging his neck and cuddling into the crook of his neck.
Diluc placed the cup on the small table and walked into the bedroom.
The heavy sandbearer door closed with noise that drowned by bloom upon bloom of fireworks.
