Work Text:

Hyde ran between alleyways, tucking his bag close to his chest, feeling the blood seeping between his fingers as his labored breaths echoed between the bricks and wet streets. He felt the adrenaline rush through his veins as he heard that familiar sound of a scarf whipping behind him.

The sound of screaming, crying and a man chasing him as he ran like a dog with its tail between its legs sent shots of euphoria through his mind. It was amazing, the fear and excitement from people’s pain and his own, blew waves of elation through his body.

He tucked the bag tighter against his chest as he weaved between alleyways, like a serpent, he slithered fast and quick, twisting and turning, letting his mind take him to the place that would widen his cage for the rest of his life, that would permit him to grow larger than any quirked person can.

He flushed at the thought, a quirkless inhuman like him growing to become larger than life if his efforts watered his plans correctly, beautiful.

The heavy footsteps and the bellowing of man resonated closer and closer, fear coursed through his lungs as he felt the scarf whip his back, the pain stuck his senses harshly as he fell to the ground and dropped the bloody bag.

“Stay down Hyde, you’re too tired. Give up.” The underground hero said as he came to kick the villain in the gut, making his puke bile and blood out of his mouth.

Hyde laughed, smiling at the man with bloody teeth.

“Hah… You’re…” He coughs. “You’re really cool ‘raser…” He continued laughing as if he were high on drugs.

He probably is. Eraserhead thought as he sat atop the young man’s back and started cuffing his hands together.

“I’m sure you already know your rights and why I’m bringing you in, so let's make this easy for the both of us, and stay the fuck down.” He kicked the young villain behind the head once more and reached for the mic behind his ear.

“Yeah yeah ‘raser. I know, but d’you know y’ can’t cath me?” Eraserhead turned back to the villain only to get the bloody bag thrown at his face before receiving a punch to the throat.

He gagged, both from disgust and from pain, hating the feeling of a dead student’s blood on his face. He felt a stab go through his shoulder blades and a kick behind both his knees, sending him to the ground while watching Hyde pick up the bag and sprint away from the scene like a dog on an errand.

Filthy dog. Eraser thought through the screaming in his mic and the rain pattering on his face as he lay on the cold hard ground over a pool of his own blood. The thought of the acid-green eyes of a filthy villain filled his mind before he closed his eyes.

Hyde pounded at the door of a lousy bar, the raindrops fell like shattered glass over his bruised and bloodied body, it hurt, but the hurt would soon leave, if the people just opened the fucking door.

He shook the handle of the door vigorously, cursing under his breath when it wouldn’t budge. He continued his knocking until it was opened with a wide swing by a wisp-like man. He wore a tailored suit and gazed at him annoyingly and threateningly with those golden eyes that shone like gold in the darkest depths of a cave.

“What is it and who are you?” He asked, leaming down to the drenched figure before him.

“I want to join you,” Hyde replied through his chattering teeth. He looked past the man to spot familiar villains lounging around the bar, staring at him threateningly with their bodies ready to give a beating and weapons ready for blood and sweat.

The whispy man stared at him, his eyes lowering when he noticed nothing important about the boy in front of him.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about. Leave.” He began to close the door before Hyde reached and held it open.

“Kurogiri, a nomu created by All For One, your purpose in life is to serve the Shigaraki name. You’ve been serving the Shigaraki’s your entire nomu life and you will continue to do so until you’re thrown away. Like a dog, you’ll obey their every command, so I’m telling you to open this fucking door, Hyde smiled.

“Dog.”

If the room was silent before, not even a breath was whispered now. A tense silence rose above them all before the TV at the very corner of the room flickered into awakening and a low voice came through.

“Open the door Kurogiri,” It said and the nomu obeyed.

Hyde smirked behind his mask and walked inside the bar like he owned the place. Small, bloody, drenched in various fluids and made of bone and organs, he walked inside and eyed every person there.

“Hyde, welcome back.” The TV said, its red light blinking at a steady rhythm.

Hyde watched the light blink for a select few seconds before he replied, “I’m home, Master.”

The League stiffened in their positions, confused about the situation at hand. This child had pounded at their door for ten minutes before Shigaraki bellowed to his nomu to open the damned thing, making the bar snicker, only for their humor to end when the boy said he wanted to join the league and for confusion to settle in when he pronounced himself as a Shigaraki yet called the being behind the TV screen ‘Master’.

Everyone glanced between the boy, their supposed leader, and the TV, wanting to figure out what the hell was going on.

“I’m sure you’re confused Tomura,” Their leader sat up straight as a board at his name.

“I am Sensei, who is this boy?” Tomura replied, fisting the cloth of his pants, urging the uncomfortable itching to leave with his uncertainty.

“This, my boy, is my offspring.” All For One said with mirth between his words.

The stranger in question lowered his mask and hood to reveal strict white hair and a scarred face. A large scar marred the left side of his face while a quite recent stitching scar crept from the corner of his lip to his temple.

It looked like his skin was stitched together, trying to keep his figure together as much as it could, while the doctor gave up with his left side and left it to be marred and ruined. It crept chills up the villains’ spines, seeing such a sight on such a small boy.

“Tomura, my boy, he is now yours. I gave him a job before bringing him to you. Whether you let him join you, kill him, use him for other… things. It’s all your choice. He’s yours now. Happy birthday, my boy.” The TV stuttered dead and the bar was left with nothing but the pattering of the rain outside.

The implication of things sent an odd feeling in the young master’s gut, but he pushed it away. Suddenly, a feminine voice shattered the silence with a squeal.

“Ah! You’re so pretty!” Toga gushed, rushing towards the small figure before leaping at it with a knife in hand and a bright flush on her cheeks.

Unfortunately for her, It grabbed her wrist and twisted it, making her cry out and reaching for it to comfort herself, taking the moment of vulnerability, It pulled out two needles from Its pocket and stabbed them into her neck, making her fall, paralyzed and stunned. It then pushed her down to the ground and placed Its foot between her shoulder blades, pulled her head off the ground by her hair, and pressed the knife against her throat.

A whimper escaped her mouth as the League started to rush towards the figure, but before any of them could touch a single hair of It, Shigaraki yelled out for them to stop.

Their movements staggered, but none of them lowered their weapons and quirks, ready whenever they were given the command. Whereas Hyde kept his hand in the girl’s hair and knife close to her throat.

“You,” Shigaraki pointed at the figure. “Put her down or I kill you.”

Death never feared Hyde, he stayed still.

“Come on Tomura, let’s kill him! Yeah! Yeah!” A man in a full-body dark grey suit yelled at the front of the group.

“I said, Put. Her. Down. You’re really pissing me off now.” Their leader repeated, raising his hand, ready to turn his guardian’s gift into nothing but ash.

Hyde, eyeing the League, dropped the villainess, took his needles out of her neck, stood up, and with his hands above his head, backed away.

“Sensei said I could do anything with you, you come pounding at my door like some random NPC, call Kurogiri a dog and make him open the door for you, but when you came in you demanded to become part of my party, then, you attack a member and refuse to obey me until I had to stand up. So why should I let you walk out of here alive?” Shiragaki took slow steps as he crossed past the Vanguard Squad and eyed his gift with an air of irritability.

Hyde lowered his hands and placed them in front of him, searching for something in those red irritated eyes of his current owner.

“I live to serve, sir. I can provide you with any analysis of any quirk and hero out there, I am skilled in various weaponry and martial arts, I have been tested intellectually and physically by our master and am resistant to, if not all, most elemental quirks.” Hyde took a step toward his owner,

“I am a valuable asset, who you can benefit greatly from. You will regret not taking me in.” He finished with a twitch of a smile.

The leader of the villain group brought his hand to his neck and itched lightly at the scarred skin, nobody said a word, only glancing between the two Shigaraki’s before them. Their striking white hair contrasted with the dark brown boards on the walls, the dim warm lightning doing nothing to dampen the tension in the room.

It wasn’t until a small gasp came from a masked man in the back of the room, that the villain moved to turn and look at him.

“I think I may know this… boy.” Compress said, starting to shuffle a deck of cards to relieve a bit of tension from his body.

Tomura tilted his head to the side and urged him to continue with a wave of his hand.

“He’s got a familiar look to a recent villain who came to light a few months ago, he ambushed a section of the Hero Commission, taking years' worth of information about various powerful heroes…” he looked up from his deck of cards and eyed their commander.

“Including All Might,” he then turned to the man with burn scars all over his body and held a shot of alcohol in his hand, “And Endeavor, the two current top heroes in Japan.”

Dabi placed the shot back on the countertop and turned to his leader in a fluid motion, “Get him to give us the information, then we can kill him or you can do whatever you want with him. We need those documents.” he said with urgency laced in his words.

Tomura had perked up at the mention of the documents about All Might, his enemy from birth, and reflected on his members’ words.

Time slowly passed as the young man reflected on his choices and potential future plans both with and without his gift.

He looked back at his supposed brother and pointed at the bag near the entrance, “What’s in your bag?”

The bag lay limp, bloody, and wet on the ground. It seemed to have been originally yellow, but the large brown stains made it hard to identify with the red all over it.

“Hands and my tools, sir.”

“Hands?”

It nodded and walked over to his bag to reach inside and pull out a translucent plastic bag with, indeed, dismembered bloody hands.

The league scrunched their noses at the sight as a few brought their hands to their nose to cover the scent of metallic blood, except Toga, who watched in awe as It stretched out the bag to It’s owner.

“Master said you’d like a gift and I noticed you always kept hands on you when you’re out. So I got you the hands of a few young heroes from the past top Yuei hero students.”

A pair of hands were grey with long and thin black nails, a mutation from one of the newest heroes that graduated from Eraserhead’s class three years ago.

Shigaraki walked over to It, took the bag, and threw it at Its face, a look of apprehension plastered over his face. The hands poured out of the bag and fell to the ground wetly, his gift stood in silence with It’s head bowed as blood and rainwater stained Its white hair red and pink. It hadn’t moved an inch from the sudden outburst.

“You’re gross and weird and disgusting, this,” he pointed at the hands scattered around the boy,

“Is fucking insulting, you’re just some useless NPC aren’t you? Nothing more than some empty shell of a thing huh? You disgust me.” He spat at It, placing his hand over Its shoulder and beginning to decay It.

He watched, irritated at the lack of a reaction, as Its face twitched and Its hands twitched for a needle at Its side but didn’t move a breath. He let go before he got to the bone and whipped his hand on Its shirt.

“Hell, its not even fun to kill you. You really are useless.”

“Shigaraki, the documents.” Tomura turned to face Dabi who held a binder with HPSC documents in hand, as he turned page by page, and looked at every page briefly before stopping at a certain page.

“They’re legit. I can recognize this signature anywhere.” He turned the binder to face his commander and pointed at the bottom of the printed paper where a neat signature of the number two hero sat.

Tomura took wide strides toward his squad member, a wide smile stretching over his cracked face, bearing his chipped teeth and opening the tears on his lips, he paged through the binder until he met the face of his life-long enemy. He then faced the figure in the corner of the room, who fisted the fabric of his pants tightly as It tried not to shiver from the cold of Its heavy garments.

He snickers at the pathetic sight, “Maybe you’re not so useless after all huh?”

He passed the binder to Compress to page through and walked towards It with Kurogiri at his side, “You’ll need to prove your loyalty to me, Dog.”

It stiffened at the name but made no comment as it looked up at those gleaming red eyes and remembered the teaching of Its dear mother.

“Remember ##### you always give them what they want, even if they think they don’t need it, you’re a smart boy aren’t you, #####? My smart, smart boy, my dear boy. Oh, how beautiful and perfect you are.” She passed her hands through his hand, letting her sharp nails scrape against his hair lightly, a slight sweet threat written between her actions and words.

“You be a good boy now #####, do not come back to Mama okay?” She pushed him away with a cold kiss on his forehead, making him fall back and off the railing.

He watched as she smiled warmly from the 24th story as he fell towards the harsh cold cement.

It let the stinging of Its left side recede before lowering Its body down to Its knees, tucking Its feet together behind It, placing Its hands gently over Its lap, and looking up at Its Master.

Shigaraki’s eyes widened in shock at the display of respect and submission, a fluid sense of power filled his senses as he watched those eyes soften and watch him, like a dog waiting for a command from its owner.

Nobody had ever submitted so much as this thing did, it was incredible. He felt control settle in the middle of his palm, he felt the power of his ownership over this thing settle in and make itself a home in his gut and mind.

He smiled gleefully and threaded his hand over Its face, “Good dog.”

It smiled at the praise and stayed silent as a new scar started to develop over It’s right cheek, this time, the shape of a hand.

“Have you done what I told you to, Izuku?”

“Yes, Father.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes, Father.”

A humming sound came through the mic.

“Your mother has taught you well hasn’t she?”

“She has, Father.”

“Good job, Izuku.”

“Thank you, Father.”

All For One looked up from the chessboard, across it to face the scarred face of his son, “I’ll heal you once this is all over, son.”

“Thank you, Father.”

“We’ll live happily once this is all over, Izuku. You, Mama, and Me. We’re going to be a happy family again soon, just play along.”

“Of course Father.”
