Chapter Text
Robin sat at his desk, he was busy working on a new gadget for battle. Cyborg walked into Robins room.
“You’re supposed to knock.” Robin stated, not looking up from what he was working on.
“Knock knock.” Cyborg said, still walking into the room.
Robin looked up at Cyborg, sat back in his chair and crossed his arms. “What do you want?”
“What are you working on? You’ve been in here for hours.”
Cyborg couldn’t tell if Robin was glaring or if it was his natural look. Robin picked up a screwdriver and kept working on his gadget. “Personal.” He said plainly.
Cyborg put his hands up and started to back out of the room. “Ok, ok. I get it.” Cyborg turned around and started to walk out of the room. He stopped and looked back at Robin. “Let me know if you need any help.” Cyborg left and Robin was left on his own.
“Anything?” Beast boy asked from the couch.
“Nothing, dudes been in there all day and I wouldn’t be surprised if he stays in there all day.” Cyborg reported.
“What is of the up with Robin? He has been acting strangely.” Starfire looked down, she was a little concerned.
“No kidding.” Raven stood up from her meditation. “He’s been in his room for two days, somethings up.”
“I worry for him. If he does not come out soon I fear he never will.” Starfire added.
“He’ll come out eventually Star, don’t worry.” Beast boy said. He was distracted by the TV.
The titans heard a small bang and Robin Yelp from his room. Their attention was drawn to the titans walking down the hallway. His hair was smoking and his glove was torn.
“Everything… going ok?” Raven asked.
“It’s fine.” Robin said sternly. He turned his attention to Cyborg. “You wouldn’t happen to have a spare PH000 screwdriver would you?” The group listened as the fire alarm went off. Robin sighed. “And a fire extinguisher?”
Cyborg let out a laugh. “Come with me.” He grabbed the fire extinguisher from the hall and as he was going to lead Robin to get the screwdriver, he paused.
Cyborg turned to Robin and said, “The screwdrivers in my room on my work bench, you go there and grab it while I put out the fire.”
Robin nodded and headed off the Cyborgs room. Cyborg got to Robins room and put out the gadget that was smoking. He set the fire extinguisher down and looked to make sure Robin was still searching for the screwdriver that wasn’t in Cyborgs room. When he saw the coast was clear he rummaged through the files on Robins desk.
“Cy?” Beast boy looked at his friend searching Robins belongings. “What are you doing?”
“There’s gotta be some reason Robins been acting so strange. I figured there would be some clue in his room.” Cyborg stopped and looked at Beast boy, still standing by the door. “Well are you gonna help me or not?”
Beast boy shrugged and walked over to Robins closet and started searching in there. “How much junk does one person keep?” Beast boy asked as he pulled out old newspapers and candy wrappers.
“Apparently Robin.” Cyborg said.
“What are we even looking for?” Beast boy looked up at his friend.
“I figured we would know it when we-“ Cyborg pulled out a particular piece of paper. “See it.” He muttered.
“What?” Beast boy walked over to Cyborg and looked over his shoulder. “What is it?”
Cyborgs jaw hit the floor when he read it. “An invitation.”
