Doug panted as he was trying to catch his breath. He was pissed.
This was another game of monsters and mortals. With forcing to find shards while the monsters had to take out mortals. It was very fucking stressful. Though they didn't have a choice.
Doug tried his best with avoiding being seen by the monsters.
Though it was hard without the tablet of using the powers of the ring pieces. He always made sure where the monsters were at. But he tried his damndest to not be seen.
Doug and Evans were the only mortals that knew each other. With them corporating and even with other mortals. He tried helping the other mortals in attempt to avoid the monsters. Though, he mostly made sure he wasn't seen.
The monsters were aware of the mortals. But they often wondered where a specific mortal was at. That being Doug. As he had caused them trouble of snatching the ring pieces for Bierce. And now he and along with other mortals are forced to play these dumb games with the monsters.
As Doug was running through the ways of the large area. He stopped at a corner seeing that there was no monsters around. He was aware of each monster, the monkeys, the watchers, the duckes, the clowns, the nurses, and even Malak and Agatha.
And don't get him started on Mama bear or the joy joy gang.
Speaking of the joy joy gang, Doug didn't seen them around these games. Nor Mama Bear. But he didn't really care much.
Doug examined the area around himself. There was many dimensions of realms. There was a lot of different realms and areas when being forced to play in. There was the hotel, the carnival, and even the sewers.
There was other realms, such as a ghost town of silent hill. and the ship. Even with some other new monsters such as the pyramid head or the monstrum creature.
As Doug was standing by a corner. Before then passing by another way. He went pass through a dark alley. Unaware that a certain monster was hiding within the dumpster. The figure suddenly grabbed him from behind and pulled him back in the alley. Doug struggled. He tried shouting as the figure had a hand covered over his mouth. Doug kept on struggling. He tried biting the hand of the person.
They released Doug. But then Doug was pinned to the wall. Doug now was able to see the person.
And he knew this person. Not personally but this was a monster had him pinned.
It was Lucky.
The rabbit smirked as he saw the shock on Doug's face then turn into annoyance.
"Hey sweet prince". Lucky spoke. "Did ya miss me?". He asked.
Doug simply glared at the rabbit leader. He wasn't too thrilled of seeing him again. "No. Not really".
"Awww....you're mean buddy. I was excited to see you again". Lucky said. "After all, you're my favorite mortal".
Doug was puzzled and confused. "Huh?".
"You're my favorite mortal". Lucky said. "Despite the trouble you caused me and my gang. I like ya".
"You have to be lying. You probably saying that to try and fool me". Doug said.
"Well, good point. I am a monster after all". Lucky said. "But I'm being honest with you Dougy. Believe me or not. I wanna keep you around".
"What? Why?". Doug asked. Though he felt a bit dumb even asking that. With the awful actions and the terrible things he've done. He didn't really expect anyone to ever like him or even want him around.
"Because you make things interesting. Though you pissed off boss and all. You make things fun and all. Most of the mortals that come here and boring and shit. But you make things exciting. And I took a liking to ya. Since you seem to be Lucky just like me". Lucky said.
Doug was suprised from hearing those words. As he didn't expect a monster to be taking interest in him. Doug spoke. "How did you even know?".
"Know what buddy?".
"That I was avoiding being seen by the monsters? Were you following me?".
"Yeah. I was. I was impressed". Lucky said. "Though, you couldn't hide from me buddy".
"So...did you come to kill me?". Doug asked.
"What? No, no buddy. I didn't come to kill ya. I just told you, you're my favorite mortal. Killing you would only leave be bored and with all these boring mortals". Lucky said. "I wanna keep you around".
Doug responded. "Hmm...well. I didn't expect a monster to take a liking of me".
"Well I do Dougy-buddy". Lucky said. He suddenly leaned a bit forward towards Doug's face. Resulting for the man to have a small blush.
Then the game was then over. A bunch of portals appeares. Letting the mortals and monsters to go through.
"Oh, the game is finally over...". Doug said.
"Aww darn. I wanted it to last longer". Lucky said. "Eh. There will be next time". The rabbit then turned to Doug. "Well, since the time is up. I gotta go back to my gang. Though I will miss ya Doug". Lucky said.
"Well....I can't really say the same for sure". Doug responded.
"Heh, yeah. I know. But that's fine. Though if you ever do miss me. I can try sneaking ya into the joy joy land". Lucky said. "Catch ya next time, sweet prince". Lucky said.
The rabbit then gave a small boop to Doug's nose. Before then hopping into a nearby portal. Doug stood there a bit dumbfounded.
Doug honestly never expected this to happened during a game. As he stepped in through a random portal. He did thought about visiting Lucky. He was a bit intrigued slightly by Lucky's words and specifically being told that he was his favorite.
'That psycho rabbit gets on my nerves...'. Doug thought.
But in a way, he was looking forward to see Lucky in another game.
