"What!"

There was the distinct, frustrated sound of Eddie smacking his hands onto his keyboard, in turn pressing random keys.

"If you're about to ask me if we can go eat again then the answer is no."

'That is not what I was going to say.'

"Okay..." drawled Eddie, "so what were you going to say? If it's not about food then it definitely isn't anything good."

'HEY!'

There was a sound of something akin to water, goo, a slick, black oil extending outwards from Eddie's hoodie, reaching out further until it formed the shape of a familiar head. Two big, opalescent eyes, whispering tendrils that tickled the air, and, of course, a familiar set of large teeth.

"We need the phone," said Venom.

For a minute it was silent. Eddie was staring at Venom.

"What?"

"The phone."

A tendril sneaked out and grabbed the phone, which was laying across the room, and showed it to Eddie.

"Can we use it?" he said, head bouncing almost like an excited puppy.

"Sure," agreed Eddie, "of course. But why? You never use it."

Venom's grin grew even wider.

"The Spider-Child invited us to Twitter."
