Work Text:
When down in the bakery there arose such a clatter
That roused Tom and Sabine to ask, "What's the matter?"
As yet unrecovered from their digestive plight
They descended the stairs to take in the sight
Of smashed cake and icing, macarons and sweets
Littering the floor with all manner of treats
Amidst sugared chaos their progeny lay
Wrapped in the arms of the blond boy that they
Had hired to help in the bakery store
Who they loved like a son, who deserved so much more
Than the slander that plagued him all day and all night
Since his father's villainy was revealed in the light
The children held tightly, tears wetting each face
Both gripping the other in a desperate embrace
After long separation of too many years
Reunited at last, they could lay down their fears
But parents ask questions and need to address
The cause of the noise, the ruckus and mess
"An akuma!" quoth Adrien, swift and assured
As Marinette nodded to show her accord
But smiling with mirth to indulge the false tale
Of heroes and villains returned from the veil
Mari's parents accepted the story most shady
Content the Black Cat had at last found his Lady
