Work Text:
“Dammit!” I swore as I stared at the teenagers congregating around the supposedly abandoned cabin, most seated around a large fire in front or dancing nearby, with kegs, coolers, and a blaring radio on the dilapidated porch, and others no doubt taking advantage of the relative privacy inside to make out.
Using the cabin to lock myself away tonight as I’d originally planned (and prepared for by bolting manacles to the cellar walls and floor earlier in the day) was clearly out of the question—there simply wasn’t enough time to convince the partygoers to leave, and I couldn’t remain anywhere close to so many potential victims. I didn’t have much in the way of other options left, not with moonrise less than ten minutes away at best, so all I could do was head for the ranger’s outpost where I’d left my stolen car and hope it had a secure enough storage room or cellar or shed that I could confine myself in before it was too late.
Not for the first time, I regretted keeping the bite I’d received on our last hunt a secret. I should’ve told my brother what had happened, or even better taken care of the problem myself, but I . . . couldn’t. For the first time in far too long, even with the looming threat of the Darkness, we were no longer fighting and were once again true partners, to the point where we’d resumed the intimacy we’d given up on years ago, and I didn’t want to ruin our newfound joy so soon. Obviously forcing Dean to put me down would utterly destroy him, and having the guts to do it myself wouldn’t be much better since I was well-aware just how short his survival rate would be afterward.
So instead of coming clean, I’d spent the past three weeks avoiding being naked around him so that he wouldn’t notice my sudden lack of scars and bulked-up physique (the bite wound itself had healed within hours, which had been the first indication of my condition), and the few times we’d made love I’d insisted on keeping the lights out and his hands bound, and I’d returned to my own room as soon as we were done instead of lingering to cuddle or spending the night together. Dean was growing ever more impatient and frustrated with my inexplicable evasiveness, so I knew I couldn’t keep this charade up forever, but I’d still hoped to delay the inevitable for a while longer. In hindsight though, I should’ve found some excuse not to take a hunt away from the Bunker so close to the full moon, but people’s lives were at stake, no other hunters were available, and I couldn’t let my brother handle the case alone.
Which is why I now found myself running down a trail in the middle of the woods outside the ironically named Wolf Creek, MT, racing desperately to reach the ranger post in time. Of course Winchester luck worked against me as usual, and the full moon emerged while I was still a good half-mile or so from my goal. I fell with a loud groan as indescribable pain, worse than any I’d felt outside of the Cage, shot through my body. I writhed helplessly on the ground while the bones of my limbs and skull snapped and warped, my teeth and nails lengthened and sharpened, and thick chestnut fur sprouted all over my skin.
I eventually stood, shook the leaves and pine needles from my fur, and stretched before throwing my head back and howling triumphantly at the moon. I then sniffed the air and could detect the faint aroma of prey in the direction I’d been running away from. Given how many were gathered around that flimsy den, I suspected I could effortlessly slay several before the rest fled in terror and then devour their beating hearts at my leisure, and saliva dripped from my muzzle at the thought of the rich blood and chewy flesh filling my mouth. Something however was drawing me forward, so I continued to lope away from those easy kills with a frustrated snarl.
It wasn’t long before another human den came into view, this one slightly larger and more sturdily built. In front of it was one of the metal boxes on wheels man-folk used instead of their own two paws to travel, its black hide drinking in the darkness and metallic bits gleaming in the moonlight. I cautiously approached to investigate, and its smell was instantly recognizable, almost beloved. I rubbed against its side and then lifted a leg to mark it.
“Hey, what the fuck are you doing to my Baby, you furry bastard?” a human shouted as it came around from behind the wooden den.
I growled menacingly at the sight of the weapon in its hand, although there was no odor of the death-metal within it. As the man-thing got closer, I realized that its appearance, with its tawny brown hair, leaf-green eyes, berry-red lips, and lightly spotted skin, was even more familiar and cherished, while its scent reminded me of comfort, home, and most of all mate. I immediately dropped my hostile stance and instead crouched down, wagged my tail, and whined almost submissively.
The human in turn paused in surprise and then studied me in the beam of light he was also holding, paying particular attention to the color of my coat and eyes and to the scraps of fabric still clinging to my form. “Sa—Sam? Is that you?”
I crept closer, still doing whatever I could to seem nonthreatening, and he gingerly reached out to pet my head. The moment he touched me, I whimpered piteously as the transformation once again wracked my body, returning me almost to my original shape, though some lupine features—fangs, claws, ears, tail—remained. I shakily pushed myself up onto my knees while my brother stared at me in shock.
“Sammy? Wha . . . what the hell happened?”
“I—I’m so sorry, Dee! I let myself get bit in the arm during the final struggle with that werewolf last month. When I saw the wound was already mostly healed by the time we got back to the motel, I knew I was infected, and it was clear the wolf wasn’t anywhere close to a pureblood, which meant I’d be just as out-of-control when the time came,” I admitted miserably, hunching down and dropping my head, with my ears drooped and tail tucked between my legs, even while his enthralling scent washed over me. “I did my best to hide what’d happened from you and figured I could lock myself up in the dungeon when the next full moon came around . . . but then this damn wendigo case popped up, and I couldn’t think of a legitimate justification for letting these people die, and of course I wasn’t going to ditch you to take it on solo while I hid at home. I found an old unused cabin deeper in these woods that I was going to hole up in tonight, but a bunch of partying teens beat me to it.”
Dean knelt beside me and put his hands on my shoulders, and I had to struggle at the contact not to pounce and bury myself within him. “Hey, don’t blame yourself, okay? You didn’t ‘let yourself’ get bit—it’s one of the risks we take every time we go out on a job, man. And I guess I’m glad the reason you’ve been avoiding me lately wasn’t ‘cause you’re pissed at me over something. But why didn’t you tell me you’d been fucking bit instead of trying to deal with it alone? I thought we’d both learned from all the bullshit we’ve been through that we work better as a team instead of keeping secrets from each other!”
“You’re right, but this wasn’t about not trusting you or anything like that,” I assured him after lifting my head to look him in the eyes. “It’s just that we were truly happy together for the first time in years, and I wanted a little more time before fucking it all up. I’m not afraid to die, you know that, but I don’t want to take you with me, which you can’t deny is what you’ll want to do when I finally man up and do what needs to be done.”
“Alright, let’s not jump any guns here, dude!” He gave my shoulders a firm shake, which only encouraged my rampant libido. “Clearly there’s something more going on here. You were ready to snack on my heart like a snausage when I first saw you, but then you got a good look or sniff at me and suddenly turned into Lassie, plus when I touched you, you were able to turn back to human . . . well mostly. We’ll have to check the lore when we get back to the Bunker’s library or talk to Garth’s pack, but right now it seems like something about us together is letting you stay in control and not wolf out completely.”
“I’m not so sure about that. Sure, I don’t have any urge to hurt you, but I . . . I need to—to . . . I need you!” I gestured downward in mortification, where the remnants of my jeans did absolutely nothing to hide my urgent erection, and then swept my tail over my lap to cover my groin.
“Oh. Well, we can take care of that easily enough.” He smiled at me suggestively before standing and pulling me to my feet. “Why don’t you see if you can get into the outpost and find out if there’s a bunk or cot we can use, while I get the necessary supplies outta the car? Just remember to keep your teeth to yourself when we get going!”
While Dean sauntered toward the Impala, I stalked up to the door of the small building and simply ripped it off its hinges, since I currently had neither the fine motor skills nor the patience to deal with picking the lock. Inside, I quickly located the ranger’s quarters, which included a full-sized bunk, nightstand with lamp, footlocker with extra pillows and blankets, and a small bathroom with a stall shower, in the rear of the post. After pulling the covers back and throwing another pillow onto the bed, I tore off what was left of my clothing and started to pace impatiently.
Before I could get too agitated, my brother entered and dropped what I recognized as our emergency “go” bag next to the locker and set a bottle of lube on the nightstand. He quickly stripped and then stepped closer, running his hands over my enhanced muscles and whistling softly. “Guess now I get why you’d become so modest all of a sudden, since it woulda been hard to explain these without spilling the beans!”
I merely tossed him onto the thin mattress in response and crawled onto the bed behind him, since my desire was too urgent to wait through our usual banter and foreplay. I flipped him onto his stomach, tugged him up onto his hands and knees, and had enough wherewithal to drizzle lube liberally over my glans and shaft before grabbing his hips and ramming my cock fully into him.
“Fuck!” he swore breathlessly as he braced his hands against the metal headboard. “Warn a guy next time before you do that, bitch!”
Since there was no pain in his voice, I just growled the expected, “Jerk,” in answer before proceeding to pound into his tight passage vigorously, and the vocal enthusiasm with which he rocked back and squeezed his inner walls around me in time with my thrusts was further proof that he was enjoying my aggressive behavior. I reached over to push his shoulders and head down until they rested against the pillows, and once he complied, I tightened my grip on his hips, taking care not to let my claws pierce his skin, and began driving into him with abandon, repeatedly pulling out until only the head remained sheathed and then slamming back in. He in turned keened in pleasure and did his best to push himself back on my member as the bunk shook beneath us.
“Oh my fucking God, Sammy, ah! your cock feels awesome!” he panted. “Did becoming ah! a werewolf make the damn, ah! ah! damn thing even bigger?”
“Haven’t exactly stopped to measure it,” I managed to point out. “All I care about is making you cum on nothing but being fucked by it! Are you close, baby?”
“Yeah, ah! yeah I am, I’m gonna— What the hell is that? Oh fuck, fuck!”
That was something at the base of my shaft swelling after I’d hammered into him one last time before starting to climax, and his hole clamping down around my member as he too reached his orgasm essentially caused it to be locked in place. I tipped us over so we could lie more comfortably on the mattress, and as we caught our breaths we could feel my engorged cock continue to ejaculate and his slick channel continue to quiver in response.
“Um, well, male dogs and wolves have a gland at the base of their penises that uh, enlarges during sex, and when their partner uh, tightens around it as a result, that basically ties them together until they’re . . . done,” I explained once enough of my brain cells came back online. “I guess that werewolf biology has something similar.”
Dean looked over his shoulder and raised an eyebrow. “You think? How long is this shit gonna last?”
“Um, I think the average for wolves is between five and twenty minutes, so let’s hope it’s on the shorter end of that range for weres,” I replied while wrapping my arms around him and burying my face in the back of his neck to take in his heady aroma. “I’m sorry, Dee, I didn’t realize this was going to happen . . . or that I’d be so rough. Are you okay?”
“Don’t worry ‘bout me, Sammy. A few bruises ain’t a big deal, and trust me, I fully enjoyed everything else—you know I get all tingly when you take control like that! Besides, if it’s a choice between you killing people or railing my ass, that’s a no-brainer. As for this uh, unexpected development, it still feels good if kinda weird, and probably all it’s gonna do in the long run is make cleanup afterward a bit uh, stickier.” He squeezed my arm around his chest with one hand and slid the other down between his legs to where we were still joined.
I pressed a kiss into his shoulder in thanks for his understanding and then wrapped a hand around his cock, figuring we might as well enjoy ourselves while we waited. Several minutes and one unhurried hand job later, the swelling went down enough to allow me to withdraw.
Dean stretched and then grimaced at the semen coating his belly and thighs. “It’s a good thing that we ganked the wendigo earlier today if we got two more nights of this to look forward to! We’re gonna hafta tip the housekeeping staff at the motel a helluva lot extra before we’re done, and the rangers are gonna be in for a big fucking surprise when they come here tomorrow! Right now though, all I care ‘bout is using that shower before I get glued to these sheets.”
I caught his arm before he could sit up. “Don’t bother, because we’re not done yet! I won’t be back to normal until the full moon sets, so we’ve still got hours left before we’ll be finished making a mess of you and this bed! There’s not much point in washing up until we’re done, after all.”
“Is that so, wolf boy?” He grinned up at me. “In that case, roll over and beg!”
