Q: What do you think a killugon confession would look like?
A: teetering on the edge of angst, heart-in-your-mouth, simultaneous killugon confession.
emotions are running super high, both of them knowing they have to make a decision now, or let the moment pass by forever unseized. (kind of like when they were staring at each other in the alleyway right before their separation and gon says "it's no use... If we wait any longer..") and all of these memories and feelings are flashing by them. killua's conflicted but determined. this time he won't let gon go. he won't leave. he says "gon, have to tell you something. I-" but gon cuts him off, grasps killua's hands in both of his own and says
"Killua ja nakya dame nanda." Killua, you're the only one for me. Killua inhales a bit too fast and his eyes are shining like it's the first time hearing those words again. Like he's thirteen again, hands bleeding from a game of life or death dodgeball, heart spilling over with how much he loves his best friend. Gon's looking at him so softly, glowing with light as fiercely as ever. Killua feels like he's being washed over by a sunrise—drowning in it. Before he can respond, Gon brings their joined hands up to his mouth and presses a soft kiss to Killua's knuckles. Starts telling him all the reasons he loves him, says I love you and I'm sorry and I missed you and you're my best friend in the entire world.
and killua hiccups out a half-hearted "s-stupid.." because he's crying and gon's crying too, and he tells gon he doesn't need to apologize again, says I love you too and I've loved you since you got past the testing gates just to see me and I missed you more than anything and you are the best thing that has ever happened to me.
and then they're just, holding each other. gentle and soft, but stronger than anything. glowing like starlight, two boys in love, who would follow each other to the ends of the universe and back again.
