Alhaitham was always so busy with work at the Akademiya, being a scribe and all. It was necessary but nowadays, ever since Lesser Lord Kusanali had been rescued and the Grand Sage had been overthrown, he had been even busier than usual.

Finding the Traveler was going to be difficult, but luckily you had a lead - Katheryne, the receptionist from the Adventurer’s Guild. If you asked her for the Traveler’s whereabouts, surely she’d have an answer for you.

You took a deep breath and turned towards the Adventurer’s Guild. Hopefully, Katheryne would have an answer to the Traveler’s location.

You nodded and thanked the Dendro Archon that she didn’t press the question - well, Paimon did ask one more time, but Lumine quickly shut her down. You held Lumine’s hand tightly so you wouldn’t get lost - today the Akademiya was even more crowded than it usually was. 

There were so many scholars milling around that you were scared you would be drowned in a sea full of people. Fortunately for you, Lumine held onto your hand so you two wouldn’t get separated.

You did manage to make it to the entrance, but it proved to be even more crowded than the outside. It was normal for scholars to be passing through, but this amount was definitely strange. 

Luckily, Paimon shared your concern “ Wow.. this place is packed! It’s probably going to be really hard to find whoever you’re looking for… Paimon hopes that it clears up soon. ” She looked genuinely worried.

Just after Paimon had said that though, someone seemed to be yelling above everyone else’s voices - not to make some sort of inspirational speech or whatever, but like he was scolding someone.

So, it was confirmed. He was there, and before you could stop yourself, you bolted off towards the direction of the yelling, ignoring Paimon’s surprise while Lumine shook her head.

Lumine put her hands on her hips. “ We found this little girl while I was collecting my commission rewards, ” She pointed at you. “ She asked if we could take her to the Akademiya, which as you can see, we complied with. ”

Alhaitham nodded. “ Did you ask her why? ”

“ I tried, but she wouldn’t answer me. She just looked away so I thought it was better not to pry. ”

Everyone else was shocked too, just staring at him like he’d opened some sort of vortex right in front of them.

He was ignored, but Lumine swiftly continued the conversation. “ So, Alhaitham, you’ll take care of her until I find her family? “ Paimon looked unsure of that notion, but she was too nervous to actually speak against considering what had happened the previous times she had spoken against Alhaitham.
