A life that has yet to beginn

Summary:

Awoken with no knowledge of who I am or was, not even a name I can remember. Can I create myself a life worth living?

Notes:

This is not proof read and english is not my first language. I am writing this at 3:22 am and it would be nice if you would point out grammatical errors when seeing them. I am always open for critique or other comments. Ofcourse you can also leave kudos if you like. That would be it for this note, I hope you enjoy the read and have a nice day or night.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: Prolog Here I sit on a park bench, but I can’t remember.

Chapter Text

Every now and then
You’re looking at the stars.
Dreaming of a world so grand.
Wishing from afar.

But with collected strength you stand.
Even if dreams are lost in sand.
The future can leave you behind.
But it’s your choice, for you to decide.

Results can be so far away.
But staying here will bring just pain.
Change is needed and that’s okay.
Even if hard and in seeming vain.
Results will come and there will be gain.

The days are getting shorter as the end of the year nears. The sun setting in blue and orange hues as the cold is starting to the skin of those who haven’t gone home yet. Sitting on a park bench a child, maybe the age of 7 is looking dazed into the evening, eyes tired and confused.
They shiver from the cold but don’t seem to intent to move away anytime soon. A closer look at child and it’s surroundings would give you the impression they are waiting for something to happen or someone to appear. With them they don’t have much: a backpack, a blanket, a stick and a carving knife.

What a child that age is doing outside currently, with these items is a mystery to all that pass by. Yet the people that walk by them don’t care much more about the dazed child, after all that is how the world is: each to their own.

The child looks at the stick in their hands, they grab the carving knife and start forming a blade like shape. Another stranger passes by, a man perhaps in his late thirties or early forties, different from the other people he holds and looks at the child. They glance at him for maybe a half minute till they go back to carving. The man says something but the child does not react to him.

It is then that his phone rings. He picks it up and after hearing whatever has been said to him urgently walk somewhere. He promises himself to come back as soon as he can but when he looks back the child is gone.
Deciding that they must have gone home he breathes in relive and moves towards wherever he had to be. In the back of his mind however there were some questions left unanswered, one of them was as to why the child had looked so empty and devoid of any meaning.

Notes:
