Chapter Text
The ancient country of Sina has been governed by the Royal Sinish Family since The Great Civil War of Paradis (1043-1054). The Great Civil War of Paradis was between the country Paradis’ three Provinces of Maria, Rose and Sina. The cause of the war is believed to have been due to civil unrest; the regions farthest from the monarchy’s palace, Rose and Maria, believed their voices to be unheard and therefore their needs never prioritized by the government. King Ackerman Andor I, ruler of Paradis known for his excellent leadership both as a ruler and on the battlefield, halted revolution within its tracks by taking necessary action. Each province was given the status of a sovereign nation, and the King appointed a new Monarchy within both countries: The Noble Family of Lavignon, long-time friends and supporters of the King, were to rule over Maria. The Noble Family of Hohenzollern, was to rule the country of Rose. Andor I solely ruled over Sina from then on.
Though Sina, Rose, and Maria already had vastly different cultures and languages, the common language of Paradis before its dissolvement was known as Közös, meaning “common.” Közös is still spoken among all three countries as a primary language. Today, Sina is the richest country of the three with the most imperial ties to the entire globe. They are still seen by many Marians and Roszish people as the mother country and a key element of their government.
After the Great Sinish revolution of 1673 following King Andor XI’s “less than favorable” and “corrupt” laws, Sir Varga Elek abolished the concept of the Absolute Monarchy by lobbying for the implementation of certain bills restricting the power of Royals, and made way for the now constitutional Monarchy in Sina established in 1864. Maria and Rose followed in Sina’s footsteps, and because of that, all 3 of the country’s monarchies serve mostly as a symbolic representation of history and unity of the people.
The oldest living member of the Royal Sinish family as of 2020 is (the now retired due to illness) King Andor XVII, born Prince of Sina in the year of 1930. When civil tensions between Maria and Sina began rising again during the 1930s and 40s, Prince Andor was promised to Princess Camille of Maria, and the two were wed in the year of 1947 when they were but 14 and 17 years of age. Their marriage brought the countries together, and upon King Gergo (Andor XVII’s father)’s death, the two ascended to the throne, with Andor XVII as acting King and Camille as Queen Consort.
In the year of 1949, they birthed their first son and heir to the throne, Prince Andor XVIII, as well as twins Prince Imre and Princess Katalin in 1957. Prince Andor XVIII became the first Royal in Sinish history to marry a commoner, Tóth Agota. The two were granted Dukedom over the province of Stohess in Sina, and were commonly referred to as the Duke and Duchess or Prince and Princess of Stohess. Prince Imre also married a commoner, Gulyas Adèl, and the two were granted Dukedom over the province of Ermich. Princess Katalin never married, and was rumored to have been a “sexual deviant” by the public. She continues to keep her romantic life private.
Prince Andor XVIII and Princess Agota brought two children into the world: Princess Kuchel (born 1972) and Prince Andor-Kenneth (born 1975 and commonly referred to as Prince Kenny). Being firstborn, Kuchel was heir to the throne after her father and would be used just as her grandfather was to pacify civil unrest between the country of Sina and Rose this time, by marrying Roszish Prince, Tobias Hohenzollern. Their wedding in the year of 1992 would be one of the most celebrated across the land, seeing as they seemed to be in love.
Prince Imre and Princess Adèl gave Kuchel and Kenny cousins: Princess Giszela (born 1984) and Prince Finneas (born 1990). During a Royal banquet held for the leaders of the world, Prince Finneas met Princess Hiroko Tomohito of Hizuru, and they fell in love by exchanging letters overseas. Their marriage was approved in the year of 2010, and the two became Emperor and Empress of Hizuru in 2011 despite the concept of a non-Hizuran emperor being quite controversial. The marriage strengthened the relationship between Sina and Hizuru. The Emperor and Empress gave birth to a little girl in 2016, and named her Princess Mikasa, who is seen as the symbol of Unity between the two countries. Princess Giszela, like her Aunt Katarin, remains unmarried.
Princess Kuchel and Prince Tobias, expected to provide an heir to the throne, birthed Prince Levente-Andor (most commonly referred to as Prince Levi), in the year 1998. Prince Levi is the only child the couple had, seeing as Tobias was assassinated by extremists on January 3rd 2004 following comments on racial injustice in Sina. A civilian was caught in the crossfire. Many see Prince Levi as an everlasting symbol of Princess Kuchel and Prince Tobias’ love, and treasure him immensely. Princess Kuchel was crowned Queen in 2017 upon her parents death in a tragic automotive accident and after her grandfathers announced retirement, making Prince Levi next in line for the throne.
However, Prince Levi is known to be one of the most controversial members of the Royal family. Paparazzi have prolifically followed him and his mother since the day he was born. In his youth, he was often caught sneaking out of his boarding school attended by the kin of many noble families to go to nightclubs, parties, and participate in “improper” encounters with grown men. This earned him less than favorable nicknames across the tabloid newspapers. The Royal family has not commented on his behavior and refuses to answer questions asked by interviewers regarding it. Prince Levi, now a graduate of University, has not been seen participating in behaviors against Royal Protocol since the death of grandparents. He has remained relatively quiet since then, and it is often brought into question whether Prince Levente-Andor will serve well as a King when his time comes.
