Until We Meet Again

Summary:

"Jungkook." The familiar voice whispers in his ear. "You really waited."

Jungkook feels his heart suddenly feel weightless and his chest feel empty as the heaviness is suddenly and so unexpectedly lifted off. A tear escapes his eyes as he squeezes them shut.

He can barely believe it. "You... You really came."

Work Text:

𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝐈 – 𝐀𝐌𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐃𝐀𝐌

Work might suck for the vast majority of us, but for some people, it doesn't. Is quite enjoyable, actually.

Take Jeon Jungkook, for example.

He takes stunning photographs for a living. Travels around the world, looks through his viewfinder, and clicks away. Captures what his eyes like, forever. He absolutely loves his job, and wouldn't trade it for any other area of work.

He's always wanted to do this.

Travel photography – places, food, people. Jungkook does it all. The best part about his job is, that he gets to see new places all the time. Jungkook works for one of the biggest magazines in Seoul. It pays very well and he gets to do what he's extremely passionate about. It's a win-win.

Currently, Jungkook is in Amsterdam, hunched over a railing which allows him to look over the Amstel river as it flows through the city. The pretty buildings, very characteristic of Amsterdam, reflect in the water like distorted mirrored images.

It's a trip sponsored by the company, and Jungkook is here for another day. His trip is almost coming to an end, and yes, he's had fun walking around and taking photographs. But he feels like for the most part, he hasn't done much here.

Just ate, slept, walked around, and clicked.

He looks at himself in the water, his image rippling as the water flows – but he can still see that he looks tired. Looks like something is missing.

Jungkook sighs. He loves his job, no doubt about that, but sometimes it gets a little lonely. He doesn't have time to devote to dating when he's back in Seoul. And when there's ample time when he's overseas, there's just him and his camera.

Jungkook has thought of hooking up and having flings in all these foreign lands sometimes, but when he thinks of it in the long run and looks at the big picture, he realises that it has no appeal to him. It's not exactly what he craves for or thinks about when he's alone in bed at night.

Jungkook wants love. Love. Not flings, not just sex, not hooking up. He's had enough of those, and they never leave him feeling fulfilled. He wants love, but just doesn't have the time for it, or the opportunity that would truly lead him to it.

Jungkook then realises that he should probably break out of his thoughts right about now. He looks through his camera, playing back the pictures he's taken so far, and he has a few he really likes.

He checks his watch, and it's almost seven in the evening. Even though it's nowhere close to sunset here in Amsterdam, Jungkook still feels tired and wants to go back to the hotel. His legs ache after walking around the city the whole day.

But before he goes back, he feels his stomach rumble, and figures he should look up if there's a Korean restaurant nearby.

He finds one after looking through his notes app – he's already planned a lot in advance. He follows his phone's navigation app and reaches the restaurant with little to no difficulty.

As soon as he pushes the glass door open and enters, along with the chilly air conditioning, he is greeted with the smell of home and the sweet sound of a wind chime. The familiar scent of condiments, the smell of soju in the air. Jungkook stills for a second at the door, just taking in the aroma.

He walks further inside then, looking for an empty place to sit. The restaurant isn't too big, and is buzzing with people. Jungkook finds one table with two chairs empty in one corner, and quickly goes and sits down.

He looks through the menu, contemplating what to order, when he feels a gentle tap on his shoulder.

And then, in fluent Korean – in a rich, deep voice, Jungkook hears the words being spoken. "Hi, all the tables are taken. Do you mind if I sit here?"

At first, Jungkook internally winces. He does much better, as well as prefers it when he's just by himself. But then, he is a little surprised – because who is speaking Korean in Amsterdam? Daegu satoori, at that.

But of course, it's a Korean restaurant. Silly of him to think he'd be the only Korean person here. Jungkook, then, without wasting any more time thinking, immediately turns around to take a look at this person.

At once, he feels his eyes widen and fixate on the man. He's very, very handsome. Big, feline eyes curtained by dark lashes, a beautiful nose and lush lips all sit on his face. His dark parted hair frames his face well, and Jungkook feels giddy. He feels a sweet rush of blood inside his body, flowing everywhere.

He gay panics for a second, before realising that he needs to talk. Answer him. Even though he'd rather sit alone usually, the guy is very attractive, and Jungkook doesn't know how to say no. He doesn't even want to, in the first place.

"Oh. Oh, yeah, uh." Jungkook fumbles with his words. "Sure. I'm eating alone anyway."

The big, intimidating eyes immediately soften and turn into crescents as the man smiles, and bows. He then sits down across the table from Jungkook, and extends out a hand.

"Hi, I'm Taehyung."

Jungkook rubs his hands vehemently on his trousers under the table because his palms are so sweaty, before he extends it out and shakes Taehyung's hand.

Jungkook feels his heart flutter at the touch. Taehyung's palms are so soft and warm. "I'm Jungkook."

"Live here?" Taehyung asks easily, eyes curious as he grabs the menu and begins to flip through it.

When Taehyung's eyes drop to the menu, Jungkook takes the opportunity to look all he wants. "No, I'm from Seoul. Here for work. I'm a photographer."

Taehyung suddenly looks up, and Jungkook abruptly looks down when their eyes meet.

"That's so cool!" Taehyung says, with genuine enthusiasm. "I could kind of tell by the camera case."

Jungkook nods, cheeks flushing pink. "And, what about you?"

Taehyung beams. His lips take this boxy form as he smiles brightly, and Jungkook can swear that this might be why the sky is still bright in Amsterdam.

"I'm an actor. I hope I make it big someday." Taehyung just says, a big smile on his face.

Jungkook's eyes widen. "Oh that's so interesting. I really hope you do. You've got the..um, looks."

"Have I?" Taehyung sweetly smiles, and tilts his head. He uses his palm to rest his chin, as he looks at Jungkook.

Jungkook gulps. "Of course. Why are you in Amsterdam? Vacation?"

Taehyung rolls his head from side to side, as he appears to think his answer through. "Well, kind of. You could say that. Just taking a few days off to relax."

Jungkook nods, and then remembers that they're here to eat. "Umm, shall we order?"

"Of course!" Taehyung says. "I ate here yesterday. Their jajjangmyeon is insane. You should try it too."

And so, they order jajjangmyeon. They talk over food. A lot. Taehyung does most of the talking, but Jungkook really enjoys listening. Their conversation flows very easily and naturally, and the fact that Taehyung is Korean – someone from back home, puts Jungkook at ease somehow.

Taehyung talks about all sorts of things. He starts off with one story, but branches off in different directions often, all of which Jungkook finds interesting, still. He has a captivating way of telling his stories, which make them very compelling to listen to.

And of course, he's so pretty that Jungkook has no difficulty constantly looking at him.

Taehyung laughs a lot as he narrates, and has a plethora of different expressions which change by the second, and Jungkook imagines him acting on the big screen.

Imagines him as a big hotshot actor. Thinks he's definitely going to make it big someday. Can see that he's got what it takes. It suits him, too.

All in all, Jungkook is instantly enthralled. Crush at first sight, if you will. Has to frequently drink water to keep his throat dry and has to press his lips together a lot just to have something to do while he's seated opposite to Taehyung.

"And then–" Taehyung takes a sip of the tea he's ordered for himself, and continues one of the many little stories he's been sharing with Jungkook this evening. "I walked out of that office, and yelled at the sky that I'm going to make my dreams come true someday!"

Jungkook smiles, eyes crinkling and nose scrunching up. He can't help it – Taehyung is adorable. "I'm sure you will."

Taehyung smiles at him, tight-lipped, and just stares for a few seconds which makes Jungkook's heart jump in his chest. He can't decipher the look, and thankfully Taehyung starts talking again.

"So. We finished all our food." Taehyung says.

"Indeed." Jungkook says, like an idiot, and stares at the empty plates and cups. He's nervous now that it's drawing to an end.

"So..." Taehyung gently rocks himself back and forth. "I guess it's time to leave...?"

Jungkook nods, feeling a little disappointed about it, but doesn't show it. "Sure, if–if you're in a hurry."

Taehyung bites back a smile. "I'm not really in a hurry."

Jungkook's mouth parts, eyes wide and curious and he really doesn't want Taehyung to leave just yet. Just doesn't know how to say it. But he can tell that maybe, Taehyung is enjoying this too. "Oh, that's...then you–"

"Do you want to walk around the city for a bit?" Taehyung asks then. "We can be travel buddies for tonight. It can get boring alone sometimes."

And Jungkook's eyes go wide and his heart goes crazy at how easy Taehyung made it. Now, he's even more sure that he's been enjoying his time with Jungkook too.

"S-sure." Jungkook says, smiling. Nodding. Trying to be calm. "Let's."

"So." Jungkook clears his throat as they walk down the pavement, after they've left the restaurant. "What are your sightseeing plans?"

Taehyung hums. "Well. For tomorrow, I wanted to visit the Van Gogh museum, revel in the beauty of his art and then head out to Dam Square to just sit and observe people while I gorge on some street food, maybe."

Jungkook nods. "That sounds nice."

"But it's already late." Taehyung looks at his watch. "So maybe for tonight, we could just walk around the city and eat something? Talk?"

Jungkook nods, smiling, acting like his heart isn't threatening to jump out of his chest. Taehyung is already so attractive, and his personality isn't helping Jungkook's case one bit, either.

"And the rest, we could just do tomorrow." Taehyung says, looking up at the sky.

And Jungkook's heart freezes in his chest at the implication. "T-Tomorrow?"

"Yeah." Taehyung smiles, and turns to look at him. "And we could take a ride down the river. If you want to, of course. No pressure."

Jungkook nods, trying to drown the red in his cheeks back where it came from. "Yeah, yeah. I mean I'm cool with that. Totally down for it."

"Let's begin then, shall we?" Taehyung asks. Smiles.

Jungkook nods. Smiles too.

Taehyung opens the navigation app on his phone, and they follow the directions to random spots.

First, they stop by a food shack, and get a serving of kibbeling. Jungkook half expects for the man to prepare another plate, but Taehyung thanks him, pays and tugs Jungkook's hand to walk with him.

Jungkook looks on, confused. Taehyung catches on, and explains. "What? Don't you want to eat it? It's made of fish!"

And that's when it hits Jungkook – and it probably isn't a big deal, but Taehyung is asking him to share his food with him. Jungkook's heart pounds in his chest.

"Oh." He says, as he moves forward, and reaches out for the spoon. "Um, there's just one fork."

"Well, I don't mind sharing." Taehyung says immediately, an unreadable smile on his face. "But if you'd like a separate one, I can ask."

Jungkook shakes his head, trying to ignore the way his head buzzes at the words and at the implication. "No, it's fine. I don't mind either."

And that's how, in Jungkook's words, they share their first indirect kiss.

Like Jungkook discovered already at the restaurant, Taehyung talks a lot, and he makes perfect sense even when he's just rambling. As they walk down the streets, trying tens of different food items, Jungkook thinks of how he doesn't feel all that awkward around Taehyung – at all.

He's usually much less comfortable around new people, which once again makes him realise how Taehyung feels very safe to interact with, even for someone he's just met. He even welcomes Jungkook's shyness, talking for both of them when need be.

And Jungkook keeps thinking about how fun he is, how pretty he is, and how kind he is, until his train of thoughts is disrupted by Taehyung shoving food into his mouth.

"Isn't this amazing?" He asks, eyes wide, and hand stuffing the fried piece of food into Jungkook's mouth. "I wish we had these back in Korea!"

Jungkook laps it up, stunned, and in the process Taehyung's finger comes in contact with his tongue. Shocked and embarassed, Jungkook involuntarily raises his hand to curl his fingers around Taehyung's wrist.

And that's when they look at each other.

Taehyung doesn't look bothered at all, and it gets Jungkook all hot and bothered in return. He chews and gulps down his food, and Taehyung doesn't look away for a single second.

Just smiles as Jungkook releases his grip, and brushes his thumb against Jungkook's lips. "You've got some crumbs there."

"Oh." Jungkook's hands fly up to wipe his lips. "Thank you, hyung."

Taehyung smiles fondly. "Do you want to take a ride on the Amstel?"

Jungkook checks his watch. "I mean, it's late but... why not? Sure. Let's do it."

The way Taehyung's smile grows at that is blinding.

Their next stop is a ferry station somewhere in the heart of the city, and Taehyung misses a step and almost topples over, but Jungkook catches him by the arms and stations him in place.

"Watch out!" He says, genuinely worried for a moment.

But Taehyung just giggles. "Sorry."

They get in and sit opposite to each other, and they're at the egde from where they can look over the cityscape lining the horizon along the river. It's slowly getting darker now, but is still just breathtaking. Jungkook pulls out his camera.

The stars start to appear in the sky, and the moon slowly appears overhead.

Taehyung glances at Jungkook, chin resting on his palm, and smiles fondly. "What is your favorite thing about clicking pictures?"

Jungkook looks at him, not expecting the question, and then looks at his camera and shrugs. "I guess, I like the idea of capturing moments forever. Time flows and moments melt into other moments. But pictures? They stay the same. Especially with digital photos, it's like memories locked into a tiny memory card for the rest of eternity."

Taehyung nods. "For the rest of eternity, indeed."

"Or... until the memory card gets damaged." Jungkook says, and they both chuckle.

"Do you want to lock me into your memory card forever?" Taehyung asks, and his eyes flit from Jungkook to his camera, and back.

Jungkook is caught off guard, throat running dry at the way Taehyung says it and looks at him. Who is he to say no?

"Of course." Jungkook says, swallowing and looking down because he suddenly feels shy. "If you'd like me to."

"I would love that." Taehyung says without hesitation.

"Okay." Jungkook presses his lips together and focuses on his camera.

Taehyung takes in his beautiful face and admires the way his little dimples show up on either side of his face. He stares, unabashed, and is just as shameless about it as shy Jungkook is.

Jungkook holds the camera close to his eyes, looking into the viewfinder. One eye supporting the lens, and the other on the shutter, he tries to frame a good picture.

He normally would ask people to change the way they're sitting or posing, but Taehyung – he already looks good. It's not a very flattering angle for most people, but somehow he still makes it work.

So, Jungkook works with what he's got. Even though Taehyung is only staring right into the camera, it seems like he's staring into Jungkook's eyes, into his soul. Jungkook gulps, but presses the button anyway.

He snaps two pictures, and then even before he can instruct, Taehyung angles his face away, looking out over the river instead. And Jungkook clicks again.

This goes on for a minute or two, them working together seamlessly without even needing words, and Jungkook is pleasantly shocked at how easy Taehyung makes it to photograph him. It seems like Taehyung is used to it.

He sits back down and looks through the photographs he just took, and he is stunned at how beautiful Taehyung looks in each one of them. And then, when he looks back up, he realises that the photos don't even do any justice to what he looks like in real life.

Don't even hold a candle to it.

They exchange smiles then, and Jungkook shows Taehyung the pictures which are very well received. Taehyung looks at Jungkook as he talks about the pictures, and wonders about something.

"Who photographs you?" Taehyung asks, out of the blue.

"Hmm?" Jungkook looks up, not understanding the question.

"I mean, you take all these beautiful pictures." Taehyung begins to explain. "But isn't there anyone who takes beautiful pictures of you?"

Jungkook stares back at him, and then bites on his bottom lip as he thinks. He doesn't particularly pay attention to the topic of him being the subject of someone's photography. He's never really thought about it. So, he shakes his head.

"I guess not." He softly chuckles.

Taehyung extends out his hand, and gently cups the lens of Jungkook's camera. "If you don't mind...?"

And Jungkook's camera is precious to him – he doesn't usually let other people get their hands on them. But Taehyung is pretty, his hands are pretty, and he finds himself readily letting him take it.

"Of course not." He chuckles again, more nervously this time. More shy, because he knows what's coming.

Taehyung takes the camera from him and expertly holds it to his eyes, which makes Jungkook wonder if he has some experience with photography himself.

Jungkook awkwardly smiles – he's not at all used to being the subject. He's never been anyone's muse, and yet, Taehyung makes him feel special in a way that he can't explain.

But Taehyung clicks some photos of him, adjusting himself and Jungkook in the process. The way he gently touches his jaw to angle it properly makes Jungkook feel all tingly and mushy, but he swallows it all down.

"There." Taehyung hands back the camera. "Memories of me and you on the Amstel."

Jungkook takes it, and can't bring himself to make eye contact with Taehyung for some reason. He's attractive, bold and each one of the words that leave his mouth drip with charm. Jungkook just can't take it anymore. Already.

Taehyung has him bewitched at first sight.

So he just nods, and says what he honestly feels. What's the harm in flirting a little? "Yeah. I think these will be rather nice memories."

"So, where are you staying?" Taehyung asks, as they walk back after their ferry ride.

He's an unexpected companion on Jungkook's journey back to his accomodation in Amsterdam.

"Umm, my company sponsored my stay." Jungkook begins, and he doesn't know why he feels so nervous even as he says the simplest of things. "It's a nice hotel. What about...you?"

Taehyung smiles, and shrugs. "I haven't found a place yet. This is how I do it. Go to the destination, and then find a place to stay. It's much more thrilling that way, anyway."

Jungkook could never imagine traveling like that – he needs everything planned in advance.

"Well. Where are you going to go now?" Jungkook asks, curious, and thankful that he doesn't stutter.

Taehyung just shrugs. "Going to look around for a bit."

And the thought of Taehyung wandering the streets of Amsterdam, looking for a place to stay are much less pleasant than offering Taehyung to rest at his rented room for a few hours where he can do the research.

The fact that Jungkook's heart is sort of falling for his charms has nothing to do with it, of course.

So, Jungkook blurts it out without thinking much.

"You can come over to the hotel. We can eat something." Jungkook clears his throat. "And umm, you can look up a place to stay. The sofa there is really comfortable."

Taehyung smiles, but then looks at Jungkook with his eyes narrowed and lips pressed together. "Hmm, and why would you let a stranger into your hotel room?"

Jungkook smiles instead. "Well, we're not strangers. Anymore? I guess. I think we just became travel buddies. The offer is open. It would be much more comfortable for you. Consider it a thank you for taking me around."

Taehyung bites on his lower lip, and nods. "Don't worry, I'm going to find myself a place to stay. But I could go pay you a visit right before our plans tomorrow during the daytime? You could show me your suite then!"

And Jungkook isn't stupid. He knows this is a way to make sure they meet again the next day – he's excited, too. He's come to really enjoy the time he spent with Taehyung today.

Jungkook nods then. "Okay, then. Where will you stay tonight?"

Taehyung chuckles. "I'll tell you when I find out."

The next morning, Jungkook finds a smiling Taehyung right outside his hotel at their decided meeting time.

"Hey." Jungkook says, chest filling up with warmth at the sight of Taehyung. The sunlight hits his face and highlights his sharp features, as if for Jungkook to watch and get lost in.

Jungkook then snaps back out of his thoughts, looks down and checks his watch to see if they have some spare time. "Do you want to...?"

He gestures upwards, towards his suite, indicating if Taehyung wants to go upstairs and check out his suite like they talked about.

But Taehyung checks his own watch and shakes his head. "I already arrived a little late here. We need to get going with our itinerary! But thank you for offering, I wish I could go in and chill with you for a bit."

Jungkook just nods and smiles. He doesn't mind, and he doesn't want to push. "Alright, don't worry. It's not a problem."

Taehyung smiles. "Let's get going, then?"

Luckily enough, both of them have their Amsterdam city cards at hand. It saves them a considerable amount of travel money. They use it to avail a bus, and just as they hop on and Taehyung sits down by the window, the bus starts moving and Jungkook jolts forward.

Of course, right onto Taehyung.

"Whoa." Taehyung smiles, grabbing Jungkook's waist immediately, and stationing him, as if on instinct. His eyes flit up to meet Jungkook's. "Careful there, Jungkook."

Jungkook's face flushes red, as he awkwardly scrambles to get himself into a better and less embarrassing position. He straightens up first, and then slips into the seat beside Taehyung.

"Your waist is so tiny." Taehyung comments, and catches Jungkook off guard.

Jungkook doesn't know what to say. He just nervously chuckles. "Oh. Is it?"

"Yeah." Is all Taehyung says, that unreadable expression on his face again.

Jungkook is so confused, but also kind of reading through the signs. He just doesn't think it's enough for him to reciprocate or act on it yet because he could very well be wrong.

The ride isn't too long, but it isn't too short either. To pass the time, Taehyung connects his airpods to his phone, and offers one to Jungkook. Jungkook readily takes it and pushes it into his ear. And then, Taehyung plays some music.

It's a soft ballad, a song about love. They sit in comfortable silence as the shared music plays through their ears, but Jungkook can feel his skin heating up at the lyrics. Taehyung choosing this song makes him feel some kind of way, but he doesn't say a word.

Song after song, it sounds like Taehyung is speaking to him through music, and Jungkook can't stop blushing the entire way.

And when Taehyung gently brushes his fingers over Jungkook's hand, Jungkook feels like he is going to scream. Maybe he is reading the signs right.

They finally arrive at their destination, and have to walk a bit before they can see the beautiful, somewhat circular exterior design of the museum.

Taehyung gets so excited immediately, that it fills Jungkook up with happiness too – it's too wholesome.

His boxy smile adorns his face now, as he tugs on Jungkook's sleeve and pulls him in the direction of the entrance. "I love Van Gogh's work so much!"

And Jungkook lets himself be tugged forward, as he watches Taehyung with a shy smile.

When they enter, Jungkook notices that the display is quite simple – like any normal art gallery. But there's staircases and floors and levels incorporated into the interior architecture, and it looks like some kind of a maze. The walls are painted with dark, cool shades and the floor is wooden, and it's very soothing to the eye.

Taehyung looks mesmerized, walking from painting to painting and giving Jungkook random trivia which he seems to have learnt by heart. He tells Jungkook in immense detail about each painting, but Jungkook doesn't even register most of it.

He's busy staring at Taehyung's excited smile, or the way his lips move. He notices the moles on Taehyung's cheek, under his eye, on the tip of his nose and on his lower lip. Notices how he has only one double eyelid, and yet looks perfect.

There's so many artworks displayed all across the walls, but Jungkook has eyes only for the one next to him.

Jungkook sighs, and then nervously gulps when Taehyung snaps a finger in front of his eyes.

"You okay?" He asks. "Are you bored?"

Jungkook shakes his head. "No, not at all! I'm just–"

Taehyung looks on, eyes dropping to Jungkook's lips.

"Just umm." Jungkook notices it too, and his own eyes travel to Taehyung's lips again. "I'm in awe of how much you know about Van Gogh's life and his work."

"Of course I do. He's my favorite artist." Taehyung smiles. "But honestly, you can tell me if you want to go somewhere else."

"No, no." Jungkook insists. "I'm glad we came here."

"Yeah?" Taehyung asks, nudging Jungkook gently by the arm. "You're glad we came together?"

This time, Jungkook can't bite back his smile. Maybe he should voice his thoughts a bit, too. "Yeah. Yeah, I am."

Taehyung looks up towards the first and second floors, which are only really just narrow spaces to walk around and not really a roof. "Do you want to go upstairs?"

"What's upstairs?" Jungkook asks.

"Less people." Taehyung smiles, and is already tugging on Jungkook's wrist. "More privacy."

Jungkook giggles, but his heart is rattling in his chest. "What do we need privacy for?"

"Because... you don't seem like you enjoy crowds." Taehyung simply answers, shrugging. "Do you?"

The color drains from Jungkook's face and he feels embarrassed because of what he thought Taehyung implied. He shrugs too. "Y-yeah, obviously. I mean, I don't. You're right."

They walk up the stairs, and indeed, it's emptier here. Most of the people linger on the ground floor, and while less people being here is supposed to make Jungkook feel better, it only makes him extremely aware of Taehyung's presence.

"This place is beautiful, hyung." Jungkook says, pushing his thoughts to the back of his mind. "Thank you for bringing me here."

But as he is saying the words, Taehyung tugs a little harder on his wrist and Jungkook is pushed forward, their chests almost colliding.

"Come here." He says, voice deep and dangerous, and eyes sinfully mapping out every part of Jungkook's face.

The breath is knocked out of Jungkook's lungs when Taehyung's face is just an inch or two away, and when his eyes shamelessly shift to and settle on Jungkook's lips.

Jungkook's heart starts to beat at a million miles per second, and he is convinced that Taehyung is going to kiss him.

But then, Taehyung just brings his thumb up, and asks. "You've got some crumbs from the snacks earlier."

Jungkook is stunned at the proximity and at the gesture itself, his breath catching in his throat. "Hm, what?"

"Can I...?" Taehyung raises his brow.

Jungkook is just so nervous. He doesn't even know what is happening, and just nods because fuck yes, he wants Taehyung to touch him.

A mistake.

Because when Taehyung begins to caress the underside of Jungkook's bottom lip with his thumb, eyes moving up to lock with Jungkook's, the latter just loses his mind.

The touch, the gaze, the proximity. Jungkook thinks he's going to melt on the spot.

"Do you want to get out of here?" Taehyung asks him, voice lower than ever, and almost a whisper.

"It's-it's fine, really." Jungkook slowly pulls it back together and says.

"No I mean, we can go somewhere we can both have a good time." Taehyung says, curling his fingers around Jungkook's wrist. "I want you to have a good time too. I'm just getting the feeling that art galleries aren't really your thing."

Jungkook presses his lips together and smiles awkwardly because he is combusting inside at Taehyung's words. "If you want to. But I don't want to ruin this for you."

"Shh, you're not." Taehyung smirks, steps forward and even closer into Jungkook's space, and wiggles his eyebrows. It's silly, but hot, and also endearing. "Do you mind spending some alone time with hyung?"

Jungkook snorts out loud this time, and it makes Taehyung chuckle too.

"No, I don't mind." Jungkook says. Means it.

"Let's go somewhere less crowded, then." Taehyung smiles.

Jungkook smiles back this time, heart beating fast because this is a very unidirectional path they're walking on right now. "Alright. I would like that."

A few minutes later, Jungkook finds himself strolling along into a park by Taehyung's side. It's the end of the afternoon, and the sunlight isn't too harsh – it just leaves a beautiful golden glow over everything it touches.

"You seem to know your way around Amsterdam." Jungkook comments, turning his face to look at Taehyung.

Taehyung nods. "I've been here before. Last time, my tour wasn't as smooth."

Jungkook chuckles. "Does the second time feel just as nice?"

"Nicer, actually." Taehyung says, and looks at Jungkook, eyes not wavering the least bit.

Jungkook finds himself holding the gaze this time, but his blood is rushing to all his peripheries and he feels very nervous. But he also likes how this whole thing is making him feel.

"Is that so?" Jungkook asks, a small smile on his face.

"Yeah." Taehyung says, his fingers gently and loosely wrapping around Jungkook's wrist again. But this time, they don't stay there. He slides his fingers down, until his fingers fit into the spaces between Jungkook's. "Because I met you this time."

Jungkook looks down at their hands, and whatever it is that's in the air around them, makes him tighten his fingers around Taehyung's hand too.

"You know what we should do?" Taehyung asks, and Jungkook can see the mischief in his eyes.

He doesn't want to guess. Just wants to go with it.

"What?" He asks, regardless.

And then, once more, he's being dragged by Taehyung, and he readily goes – as long as he gets to spend time with him.

They get some lunch at the same Korean restaurant again, and the hours are spent chit chatting and smiling at each other. There's so much tension between them now, and Jungkook is desperate to somehow resolve it.

Of course, he doesn't say it out loud.

The hours pass faster than Jungkook wants them to. He's leaving the next afternoon, and this is probably the last time they're seeing each other. Even though they're just two people who happened to meet on a trip, Jungkook has come to really like Taehyung already.

He's dreading the fact that they're going to have to say their goodbyes soon. He just wants to hold on to each one of these minutes and just somehow slow time down.

In the process, he tilts his head and fondly stares without realising it, eyes big and curious as Taehyung talks. Taehyung notices it, and suddenly goes quiet.

"Aw." He smiles, and his eyes crinkle. "I think you're very beautiful, too."

Jungkook blushes, and shakes his head as he tries to suppress his smile by stuffing his mouth with some rice.

And finally when the day is starting to draw to a close, they slow down a little. It feels like they're cherishing each little moment of this trip.

It's probably their last stop for the evening, the thing Taehyung had been talking about, and Jungkook is already worried he's going to miss Taehyung's presence as soon as they part ways tonight.

It's the same park they were at earlier, and it's mostly empty and dark save for the intermittent lighting scattered all over the expanse of lush green grass.

Suddenly, Taehyung is sitting down on the grass, and then leaning backwards with all his weight on his palms and with his legs spread out. He looks up at Jungkook, gestures him to sit down next to him. Jungkook is a little apprehensive at first, but he soon mimics Taehyung's position, too.

He tries to balance the ice-cream cone he's carrying in his hand, licking at it in between intervals.

And then, Taehyung leans backwards until he's lying down on the grass, one arm folded beneath his head. With the other arm, he gently tugs on Jungkook's wrist, and he gets the message and lies down beside Taehyung.

He takes a huge bite of the ice-cream, and instantly regrets it because of how his teeth suddenly feel sensitive.

"Look at the sky." Taehyung says. "I believe, this is that spot in the city where you can see the stars the clearest."

"Is that so?" Jungkook asks, heart beating so loud that he's afraid Taehyung might hear it.

Taehyung hums, entangling his fingers with Jungkook's. He uses his other hand to bring Jungkook's closer to his mouth, and takes a bite of his ice cream.

Jungkook tries not to lose his shit again, because even these little gestures are too much for his heart.

"And you know what reminds me of the stars?" Taehyung asks.

Jungkook shakes his head, and the grass rustles against his hair.

"Your eyes." Taehyung says easily. Jungkook lets out the breath he's been holding in. "I think you're so, so beautiful, Jungkook."

Jungkook feels the heat creeping up his face, up his limbs and he feels it pooling in his stomach. He just conveniently changes the topic. "What do you currently do as an actor?"

"I act."

Jungkook laughs out loud at that, eyes crinkly and all. Taehyung follows, chuckling himself.

"No, I mean..." Jungkook begins, and turns to face Taehyung. "Are you working on any projects right now?"

Taehyung smiles at the sky, but then turns to face Jungkook as well. "Yeah, working on one which just wrapped up. If it does well, maybe you'll see me somewhere on the internet. If not, well. I'll try again."

"I hope it does well." Jungkook squeezes his hand, gathering all of his courage. "I mean, I know you'll be great in whatever you do."

"Aren't you the sweetest?"

"I think you are." Jungkook says. "The sweet talker here."

Taehyung softly chuckles once more in response.

Then, they just look at each other silently, eyes locked together and small smiles on their faces. Neither of them speaks for a while, just keeps staring.

"I wish we could spend more time together but you're leaving–" Taehyung begins, but his words are cut off soon.

"Come over to my suite today." Jungkook says, straightforward and direct. He doesn't know where it comes from, and immediately after he says it, he feels anxious. "I mean... If you want to. Of course. No pressure."

"Are you sure?" Taehyung asks this time, no hesitance in his voice.

"I was sure when I asked you yesterday." Jungkook tells him, but he feels his fingers going cold. "I'm sure right now."

"Do you want me to spend the night?"

Jungkook nods once. "I want you to spend the night."

"Doing what?" Taehyung teases, the smile turning mischievous.

Jungkook looks back up at the sky, letting out a low, nervous chuckle. "Talking, maybe."

"Oh. Talking. Okay." Taehyung laughs. "Sure. As long as that's what makes you happy."

"You're very beautiful." Jungkook says out of the blue. "I've never seen a man as handsome as you are."

"I have." Taehyung says.

"In the mirror?" Jungkook laughs.

"Nah." Taehyung says easily. "Just this doe-eyed, heartbreakingly beautiful man I met in Amsterdam."

They're quiet inside the elevator, just the two of them, as they move up the floors. The door opens, and Jungkook walks out, leading the way.

"It's a nice hotel." Taehyung comments, and Jungkook hums in agreement.

They walk for around a minute down the corridor until they reach Jungkook's room. He inserts the card key into its designated slot on the door, and speaks. "Don't mind the mess inside."

Taehyung shakes his head, smiling, and Jungkook pushes the door open. Both of them step in, and Jungkook locks the door.

"You call this a mess?" Taehyung teases him. The place is pretty neat in his opinion.

Jungkook sheepishly smiles and scratches the back of his head. It feels a little surreal – meeting a beautiful, charming stranger in a foreign land. The cherry on top is the fact that they're both from the same country, as well.

Jungkook's heart is beating a little faster than usual, and he clears his throat to break the silence for a transient moment.

Right now, when it's just the two of them inside his hotel room, it really hits Jungkook. The silence makes Taehyung's presence even more palpable, and Jungkook's heart suddenly flutters in his chest.

The last few hours come rushing back to him – the laughter, the staring, walking through the park, and staring at the stars together. How strangely close Taehyung felt to him, despite them having just spent two days together.

A blush creeps its way up Jungkook's cheek, and his skin suddenly feels very hot.

"You're really handsome." Taehyung suddenly says, and knocks the breath out of Jungkook's lungs.

"I..." Jungkook begins, and his heart is suddenly nothing but a huge lump in his chest.

"And you are a good listener. Such a great companion. I had an amazing time with you, Jungkook." Taehyung says, and there's the tiniest hint of shyness on his face. "Thank you for agreeing to tour the city with me. For umm, being my travel buddy."

"You... you're very handsome, too." Jungkook says, but he can't look Taehyung in the eye.

And then, Taehyung suddenly starts chuckling. Jungkook frowns. Taehyung points to his lips. Jungkook is confused.

"You still have some ice cream on your mouth." Taehyung smiles, endeared.

Jungkook tries to locate it, but can't. Immediately, Taehyung moves forward, and tries to help him. Taehyung's fingers brush against Jungkook's lips, and Jungkook thinks he might pass out when Taehyung's face is just an inch away from his.

It reminds him of what happened at the museum earlier, and this time Jungkook can feel his legs turning into jelly.

And remove the ice cream Taehyung does, but not even a second later, he looks into Jungkook's eyes again.

And it's over.

"I've been wanting to kiss you all day." Taehyung says.

Jungkook tries to breathe steady. One, two, three...

"Oh." Is all he manages to say, breathless. His heart suddenly seems to speed up in his chest, even faster than before.

And when Taehyung nods, biting his lips, Jungkook feels the room spin around once. "Yeah. Can I?"

And maybe this could be his last fling. What is one more hookup?

"Y-yes." Jungkook says.

Taehyung smiles, steps forward, cups his face, and captures his lips in a kiss.

It's only a soft touch to the lips at first, but then Taehyung applies some pressure and they pucker their lips up. Jungkook hasn't even processed that, when Taehyung's hands slide from his face down his neck to around his shoulders, and his lips push gently, asking for entrance.

Jungkook's lips part easily, letting Taehyung slide his tongue in, and explore the inside of his mouth. Jungkook feels like his whole body is on fire when Taehyung's hands roam all over his back and when he presses up against Jungkook.

Taehyung is a good kisser. A very, very good kisser, and Jungkook can't help but wonder what else he's good at. His own hands fist into Taehyung's shirt, and pull him closer.

"You're so hot." Taehyung whispers into his mouth, body pushing Jungkook's backwards until they hit his hotel bed.

"Have you..." Jungkook whispers, as he is pushed down onto the bed very gently. "Have you seen yourself?"

"Of course." Taehyung smiles teasingly and Jungkook's heart goes into a frenzy. "And now, I want to see you. Can you take that shirt off for me?"

Jungkook nods, captivated. He's completely enchanted, hands immediately moving towards his buttons to undo them.

He pops his buttons in haste, his entire body eager to find out what Taehyung's hands will feel like on his naked skin. As he peels the fabric off of his arms, he watches Taehyung come closer and slide his palms onto Jungkook's waist.

"Fuck." Taehyung whispers, as he roves his hands across Jungkook's skin. Up and down. He eyes Jungkook from his chest down to his belly button, and then takes a good look at his arm. "You're so beautiful, Jungkook."

Jungkook feels red spread across his cheeks, and bites down on his lips. He's been with a lot of people, but seldom has anyone called him 'beautiful'. He gets hot, he gets handsome. He gets cute all the time too.

But beautiful? Jungkook shivers as the words fall from Taehyung's lips in his rich, deep voice.

"Thank you." He whispers back. "I think you're very beautiful, too."

"Yeah?" Taehyung says, pulling Jungkook closer. "Then maybe I should kiss you right about now."

Jungkook gulps, taking in all of Taehyung's beautiful features right in front of him. He thinks he'd be a fool to say no. "Okay."

And that's all the confirmation Taehyung needs before he's leaning closer and pressing his lips against Jungkook's.

Taehyung, Jungkook realises, kisses just the way he talks. His lips move softly, smoothly, fluidly. So easily, like he's been doing this all his life.

Jungkook has kissed a lot of people, but this strangely feels like a first. Taehyung's lips feel like his first.

His lips lead Jungkook to move in sync with his own, and he gently slips in his tongue which Jungkook readily, eagerly allows. His hands fly to cup Taehyung's face, grazing the side of his neck as well.

"Do you want us to continue?" Taehyung asks, breaking the kiss, looking at Jungkook through half lidded eyes and leaving him intoxicated.

Jungkook nods. "I would love that."

And so, Taehyung kisses him again. His lips travel along Jungkook's jawline this time, down his neck and then he licks the dip of his collarbone. Without warning, he puts his mouth on one of Jungkook's nipples. The sudden, moist warmth makes Jungkook moan in pleasure.

Taehyung looks up, mouth still devouring Jungkook, and smiles as he sees his head thrown back. Then, he moves to the other nipple and uses his hand to gently twist the other between his fingers, and Jungkook thinks he's going to combust already.

"Hyung..." He whispers.

Taehyung hums as he traces kisses down Jungkook's stomach, and then his fingers swiftly undo the buttons of Jungkook's pants.

"Will you lie down for hyung?" Taehyung gently asks, his pretty long fingers distracting Jungkook with the way they play with his waistband.

Jungkook just nods and drags himself backwards before he's adjusting the pillow and lying down. Taehyung gently pulls Jungkook's pants down, and thumbs his cock through his underwear. Jungkook shivers.

"Fuck, f-feels good." Jungkook whispers.

And Taehyung loves listening to it. "Yeah?"

He pulls on the waistband of Jungkook's underwear until his cock springs free. It's already leaking with precome, taut against his stomach.

Taehyung gently pulls Jungkook's pants down his thighs, and presses kisses to their insides as the skin is exposed.

"Fuck." He whispers as he kisses, and when Jungkook kicks off the pants, Taehyung squeezes his thighs with his fingers. "You've got such thick thighs. I'm a fan."

Jungkook only blushes harder – nobody has ever made him feel so good with just their words before sex, and Jungkook has had a lot of sex with a lot of people.

This just feels so different and nice.

They haven't even got to the main part yet, and Jungkook is already turned on but also incredibly giddy. This feels ridiculously good.

He shuts his eyes and throws his head back to mirror how good he feels, and it seems like Taehyung takes the hint because he smiles against Jungkook's skin. He puts his palms against the back of Jungkook's thighs and pushes them upwards so his knees are folded, and hooks his arms under them.

"What are you going to do?" Jungkook asks, eyes still shut, reveling in whatever Taehyung is doing to him already.

Taehyung doesn't answer him. Just disappears between Jungkook's legs, and the next thing Jungkook knows is his tongue rimming him down under.

Jungkook's head lolls back in pleasure, eyes rolling back as Taehyung's tongue wreaks havoc on him.

"Oh this is..." Jungkook is out of breath and surprised at how much he likes this. "Fuck, this is good. You're– you're good."

Taehyung just hums as he pushes his tongue in and out, and Jungkook lets out sounds that instantly make himself feel shy too.

Before Jungkook can get used to it, Taehyung is sitting up and the loss of warmth makes Jungkook's brows draw together in confusion.

"Wha–?" Jungkook begins, a small pout on his lips. "Hyung!"

Taehyung notices, wipes his mouth with the back of his hand and breaks into another ravishing smile. "You're ridiculously beautiful. And cute."

"Stop teasing." Jungkook shifts his weight onto his elbows as he sits up, and points to where Taehyung was eating him out a moment ago. "Get back in there!"

Taehyung chuckles, eyes meeting Jungkook's. "I've got other ways to take care of you, too."

"Oh." Jungkook says, soft blush rising on his cheeks. "Show me, then."

Taehyung smirks, tilts his head and gently parts Jungkook's legs. He gets in between, and his pretty fingers trace their way up his thighs until they stop at his cock. Taehyung wraps his fingers around it, and slides them up and down slowly – painfully slow. He rubs his thumb over the slit, and Jungkook is already leaking and eager.

Jungkook hisses, and throws his head back. "Do you plan to tease me all night?"

But Taehyung apparently likes answering with actions in bed, because Jungkook feels his finger pressing at his rim.

"Can hyung finger you?" Taehyung asks.

And Jungkook is already losing his mind. Already too eager and already feeling the urge to fill himself up.

"I want you to fuck me." Jungkook says. Doesn't know where it comes from, so bold. "Please."

Taehyung is taken aback, but very interested. "Is that even a question?"

"I've..." Jungkook gulps. "Got some lube in the drawer."

"Perfect." Taehyung says, bends down and kisses Jungkook on the lips. It's soft, so intimate, that it creates the illusion of something beyond a hookup. "Give me a moment."

Jungkook hates the way his heart flutters because this is exactly what he wants to avoid when there's no way this is going to last beyond a night or two. He finds his eyes scanning Taehyung from head to toe as he leans over him and stretches to grab the bottle of lubricant.

He comes back into position, and both of them look at the tent in Taehyung's pants.

"Can you unzip them for me?" Taehyung asks, and there it is. That tilt of his head and that smile that is driving Jungkook insane.

Jungkook immediately complies, hands flying up to pull Taehyung's zipper down. He hooks his finger into the waistband and pulls down, until his underwear is revealed – tight at the crotch because Taehyung is so hard.

He can't resist feeling him up over the fabric, and pulls down, allowing Taehyung's cock to spring free. Taehyung slicks himself up, and Jungkook lies back down, taking in the view.

He's about to have sex with the most beautiful man he's ever seen, and his heart is doing flips inside his chest.

"Do you want me like this?" Taehyung asks, as he slides his hands along Jungkook's thighs. "Or on your knees?"

Jungkook finds that he wants to be able to look at Taehyung and easily kiss him while they have sex. So, he has an answer ready. "Like this."

Taehyung leans forward, down, and cups one of Jungkook's cheeks with his hand gently. "Alright, baby. Hyung is going to make sure you have a great time."

And then, Taehyung kisses him once again, while their bodies touch in all the right places. Their hard cocks rub against each other, and it only ignites the kiss more.

Taehyung pulls back, and settles properly between Jungkook's legs. He uses his thumb to gently press around Jungkook's hole, while his other hand curls around his own leaking cock.

He angles it towards the entrance, and looks at Jungkook. "Should I?"

Jungkook tries to relax his body, and anticipates what's about to come. "Please."

And then, Taehyung pushes it in.

The first plunge hurts, and Jungkook bites his lips to suppress any sound that is about to come out of his mouth, but then Taehyung pulls halfway out, and pushes in again.

He repeats the motion, establishing a rhythm and letting his fingers gently dig into the skin of Jungkook's waist. And as Taehyung keeps thrusting in, Jungkook starts to feel the pleasure build up inside him.

Taehyung keeps going – thrusting in and lowering himself until their lips entangle in sloppy kisses. It feels strangely intimate and it scares Jungkook a little.

He likes it a little too much, the intimacy.

And when Taehyung hits the spot, Jungkook's back arches and a moan falls out of his mouth into Taehyung's. Taehyung just swallows it with a kiss.

He straightens back up and slowly lifts one of Jungkook's thighs, hiking his leg upwards. He rests it on his own shoulder, and keeps pounding into Jungkook until the latter is muttering out his name and a thread of expletives.

And that's when he lowers down, and whispers into Jungkook's ears. "Baby, I'm going to come."

Jungkook nods, biting his lips, and cups Taehyung's face. "Put my leg down so I can pull you closer."

Taehyung just squeezes the flesh of Jungkook's thighs. "Your thighs are killer, I don't want to."

But Jungkook pouts, and Taehyung breaks into a smile in an instant. His rhythm erratic and slow now, he gently puts Jungkook's leg down, and moves closer.

"Jerk me off, too." Jungkook whines.

And Taehyung immediately curls his fingers around Jungkook's girth, matching the strokes of his hand with the way he's still thrusting into Jungkook.

Jungkook comes first without warning, cock having been red and hard for long and needing release. His face colors red when he sees the mess he's made on Taehyung's hands, but immediately after, he feels warm liquid spurt out onto his ass as well.

And then, Taehyung takes his hand which is still covered in Jungkook's come, and puts two fingers into his mouth, maintaining eye contact.

"Shit." Jungkook curses. "You shouldn't be allowed to be this sexy with whatever you do."

Taehyung just smirks, lowers his body again until he's face to face with Jungkook, and waits until Jungkook opens his mouth. And when he does, Taehyung kisses him once more, tongues entangling.

Jungkook tastes himself in Taehyung's mouth, and just the thought of it coupled with the mess they so peacefully lie in right in now makes him see the stars.

"You're beautiful, Jungkook." Taehyung whispers, his eyes dark and tone serious.

"You too." Jungkook says.

–––––

Jungkook places a hand on his chest to calm his pounding heart, as he waits for the man to return with their breakfast.

He hopes it won't be too much. He's just trying to be nice, after all. He manages to convince himself that it's got nothing to do with the crush he's developed on Taehyung already, and that it has everything to do with being a gentleman.

It's just a fling, he tells himself. Nothing more, nothing less. They just had sex, and there are no strings attached.

Just being nice. Jungkook is a nice person.

The man comes back then, and hands him over the breakfast tray. Jungkook makes payment, and collects the tray from the man, thanks him and then turns to get back to his hotel suite. He thinks about Taehyung on his way back upstairs, and hates that his thoughts contradict what he says this thing between them is.

When he's at the door of his suite, he takes in a deep breath, heart rattling in his chest. But he gathers the courage to push the door open and enter the suite. And then, he locks the door.

Taehyung stirs in bed.

Jungkook freezes, rethinking this entire thing. He doesn't want to make it awkward, and he's suddenly panicking, wondering if he should pretend that the hotel staff left breakfast for them at the door. But just then, Taehyung speaks.

"You got breakfast for me?" Taehyung asks, his voice groggy and even deeper than when he's fully awake. It makes Jungkook feel some kind of way. "Stop, or I'll fall in love with you."

Jungkook feels his heart beat faster in his chest at the words, cheeks turning pink. He just chuckles nervously, shyly looking down at the tray in his hand as he moves forward towards the bed.

He notices his fingers trembling, and lets them dig in harder into the plastic just so they'd stop. Instead, he turns his focus back to Taehyung.

And Taehyung is absolutely beautiful in the morning. Raw, pure, untouched beauty kissed by the sunlight that filters in. His hair is a mop of dark, soft curls all messed up but somehow still adding to the vision. Jungkook stares for a second too long before he places the tray on the nightstand.

"Um, this is some classic Parisian breakfast." Jungkook points at the tray. "Sorry, they didn't have Korean cuisine."

And when he looks back up, Taehyung is already staring at him, smile stretching to one side of his face more than the other and eyes lazy.

"You're so cute." He drawls, head hinged down on one of his shoulders.

Jungkook gulps, then chuckles. "You compliment me way too much."

"I say the truth." Taehyung says, as he makes a move to shift around in bed. Then, he pats the space next to him. "Come here."

Jungkook nervously bites his lips and shoves his hands in his pocket to hide his jittery fingers. He walks around the bed and bites his lips as he contemplates it.

Finally, he takes a seat next to Taehyung, who very gently wraps his fingers around Jungkook's wrist, and tugs.

"I like you." Taehyung says, tilting his head to lean against the headboard. "A lot."

The words relax Jungkook a little – at least he isn't the only one. If Taehyung is being honest with him, that is. But at the same time, they make his heart beat a little louder, too.

"I like you too." Jungkook says easily. Honestly. He feels relieved. He's harbouring a huge crush on Taehyung, and it feels good to show it.

"Isn't it a shame that we have to go our separate ways?" Taehyung says, his smile turning wistful, not reaching his eyes anymore.

Jungkook's heart crumbles a little, the pieces trickling down somewhere along his chest. "Y-yeah. It's such a shame."

"But.. Jungkook." Taehyung begins, licking his lips and instantly drawing Jungkook's attention towards them. "You know– I've been thinking about something since last night."

"Yeah?" Jungkook asks, swallowing the lump in his throat. Suddenly, the room feels smaller, warmer. Uncomfortable. "What is it? Tell me."

"I'm probably going to be in Seoul around six months from now." Taehyung says, and he looks a little nervous when he does. "And I think you'll be in...?"

Jungkook nods. "Most probably Seoul as well, but please go on."

"So... If six months down the line, you're still single." Taehyung says, then chuckles and adds. "Which is highly unlikely–"

Jungkook bites back a smile. "It's not unlikely at all."

Taehyung smacks him on the arm. "Don't say that. You don't even know the half of it, you should look at yourself through my–"

"Alright, I get it." Jungkook cuts him off, unable to take so much praise without turning red in the face. "You were saying?"

"Then, let's meet up." Taehyung says. "At Lotte World. If it's meant to be, it'll be."

Jungkook wants to ask, why not now? He wants to ask for Taehyung's number. Wants to ask more questions about this proposition.

But he's willing to take only as much as Taehyung is willing to give him. He doesn't want to push for more.

So he nods, and puts on a smile. They haven't even parted yet and he already misses Taehyung. "Sure. I think that's a great idea."

Taehyung's face breaks into a huge, boxy smile as his eyes turn into crescents. "Oh, Jungkook. I really hope we both turn up."

Jungkook smiles.

Idiot, idiot, idiot.

It's so easy to get lost in Taehyung's eyes. It's supposed to be casual. Nothing at all. And yet, he's drowning. Letting himself get engulfed.

"I hope so, too." He says. Means it, because this is the only way.

Taehyung checks his phone then, and looks through his calendar app. "It's the 14th of August today. Let's meet up on the 14th of Feb–"

Taehyung suddenly smiles to himself, biting his lip, and then continues talking. "Valentine's day. Wow. I think it's meant to be."

Jungkook softly chuckles, heart buzzing in his chest even through the pain.

And then, Taehyung talks again. "So Valentine's day, if it comes down to it. 7pm. What do you say?"

And of course, Jungkook nods. Agrees at once.

Taehyung curls his fingers around Jungkook's wrist, and smiles fondly at him. "So... let me kiss you before I go?"

And Jungkook – obviously, he nods once more. Agrees to it in a heartbeat. It doesn't take much for him to crawl closer, lean in, and close the distance between their lips.

𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝐈𝐈 – 𝐒𝐄𝐎𝐔𝐋

You know how you just instantly click with some people?

And you have a hard time finding that click with anyone else?

Jungkook thinks it's exactly what he experienced with Taehyung. He thought it was just another fling. Maybe the last of his flings, nothing more. No strings attached, no feelings developed, nobody ending up hurt.

But ever since he came back, all he's been wondering is, what if Taehyung was the one?

Jungkook has met uncountable people due to his profession. Many of them have been extremely attractive. Some have been rather interesting people to know as well.

But never has Jungkook felt the magnetic kind of pull he's felt with Taehyung. He's never met anyone as charismatic, as full of life. Taehyung has left a mark on him, and how.

The pull is so strong that he keeps wanting to go back in time and experience it all over again. He hasn't stopped thinking about Taehyung since he's come back, and often catches himself wondering about him. It's been around three months, but Taehyung seems to have carved a permanent space for himself in Jungkook's mind.

Some nights, Jungkook spirals so far down his track of thoughts that he gets super upset about how he should have at least asked for Taehyung's number. Back then, it had seemed like the right thing to do. He never wanted to push Taehyung for more.

But now when Jungkook looks back, it was one of the dumbest stints he's ever pulled.

What was with the hook up shit? He should have just told Taehyung that he liked him.

What if he never shows up?

Actually, it's silly of Jungkook to even think that he would. It's stupid of him to think that Taehyung even remembers that silly little pact.

It must be just Jungkook who keeps holding onto those memories, to the thoughts of him.

It's just another day at the office, and Jungkook is working on his MacBook, scrolling through photographs after photographs as he sits in his office. He's half daydreaming, the sunlight dreamily filtering into his modest office through the huge, tinted glass window. When Jungkook randomly glances outside, something catches his eye.

It's just a normal change of billboards, but when it hits Jungkook, he glances up again, shocked and his work forgotten.

On one side of the billboard that has already been flattened, Jungkook spots Taehyung's face. It's unmistakable – Jungkook has each of his features memorized by now, and this definitely is Taehyung.

He sits up straighter, eyes wide as he sets his laptop aside and cranes his neck to see. As they straighten the whole thing out, Jungkook can see that it is a poster for something.

He looks at the words that read 'Across the universe' on the Billboard, and wonders if it's a drama or a movie.

His hands fumble as he hurriedly fishes his phone from his pocket, and types the words into Naver search.

And then, he realises that Taehyung is playing the lead in this movie.

Jungkook stares at his phone in surprise for a bit. It's been three months since he met Taehyung – which means the movie was probably already underway when they met.

And yet, Taehyung talked so modestly about his acting career.

Jungkook could never tell he's been in such a big production. Just sits down, work forgotten, eyeballing his phone screen.

He looks into the various articles that pop up, and he finds out that the movie premiere is at a theatre half an hour away. His heart accelerates in his chest.

Should he go?

Jungkook sets his phone screen down on his table, and takes a seat. He needs to, because he feels light headed and confused. Overwhelmed. It's a great chance to be able to see him again.

But then again, why would a random person be allowed inside a movie premiere without an invite?

Jungkook sighs. Maybe they weren't meant to be, and he should just let it go.

He doesn't.

The following weeks, Jungkook tries to keep himself busy with work, and gets back into the dating game.

There's a lot of projects for him to work on anyway, and he travels a lot back and forth between cities. On the dating front, he meets up with random matches from Tinder, and it usually ends with one night stands.

And even with all of this going on, Jungkook hates how Taehyung keeps popping into his mind every now and then.

You've met him once, he tells himself.

But it's like his heart and mind don't listen to him.

The day of the premiere arrives, and no matter how badly Jungkook tried to get Taehyung off his mind, he remembers the date without even trying.

He thinks about it when he leaves for work, and thinks about it during work. He can't concentrate the whole day, feeling anxiety creep up under his skin the entire time.

He told himself it was no use weeks ago, but deep down, it's like he never accepted it.

He's looked up everything – every single detail. He just needs to take his car and go.

And surely, he's going to see Taehyung. There's going to be a lot of people, the media, and when the cast and crew arrive, everyone will be able to see them.

The chance is right there in front of Jungkook. He can't wait until the day to keep their respective ends of the pact comes because Jungkook hardly can believe that Taehyung would remember.

But this? This is in his own hands. And Jungkook is buzzing with energy to do something about it.

So, when he's done with work, Jungkook takes his keys and bolts out of his office building. He rushes down the stairs when the elevator is occupied, and practically runs through the rotating main door of the building.

He runs to his car, shoves his bag in the passenger seat, and walks around it with swift steps. He feels a mix of anxiety and thrill as he pulls the car door open and gets into the driver's seat.

He locks the doors, and grips the steering wheel. And that's when Jungkook panics again. He starts to overthink.

Should he really go?

While everyone else would be either a fan or the media trying to get some pieces to publish, Jungkook would definitely be the odd one out. A forlorn lover from Taehyung's past.

Can he even call himself a lover?

Jungkook winces. He bites down on his lips, head spinning. Then, he looks down at his work clothes, at himself in the rear-view mirror, and takes in his appearance.

It's not put together. He looks like he's had a long day. He takes one look at his watch, and realises that he still has some time. So, Jungkook drives straight home.

He hastily keys in the lock of his apartment and opens the door, throwing his bag onto the couch carelessly before he's even locked the door. When he does, he runs to his bedroom, stripping himself of the sweat laced clothing.

He needs to shower. Needs to look put together.

He pulls his jacket off his body, throwing it onto a chair in one corner of his bedroom. His fingers work their way down his buttons briskly, and the shirt comes off next.

He undoes his pants and steps out of them while walking towards his bathroom – there's no time to do things slowly.

Jungkook takes a quick shower and comes out just as hurriedly he had gone in. He sniffs himself to make sure he smells more fresh than he did when he entered the bathroom.

He dries his hair, and then sifts through his row of clothes to pick out something that he would feel confident in. He settles for a black formal shirt – an old favorite.

He can't go wrong with that.

He quickly puts it on, buttoning it up and takes a good look at himself in the mirror – at how the shirt hugs his body. Jungkook throws on a pair of blue jeans, and tucks his shirt in.

He finishes it off with some cologne on his pulse points, and brushing his hair such that it leaves his forehead exposed.

He stands in front of the mirror, fingers jittery, and he overthinks again.

Is this the right thing to do?

Would Taehyung even want to see him?

How would he react?

Does he even remember Jungkook?

And before his mind spirals into a dark pit of doubt and confusion, Jungkook turns on his heels, grabs his phone, wallet and keys, and leaves his apartment.

Soft music playing in the car, and memories of Taehyung in his mind, Jungkook drives through the streets of Seoul, his heart beating like crazy the entire time. It feels heavy in his chest, laden with anxiety and the anticipation of whatever it is that's about to happen.

He follows the instructions from the navigation app in his car, based on the location he had fed in. It says that he's around one thousand meters away.

It's close.

He's close – to seeing Taehyung again.

And if Jungkook wants to stop the car and turn around at any point during these one thousand meters, he doesn't do it. Doesn't act on it.

The distance keeps decreasing as he drives, mind clouded with emotions that aren't entirely comfortable. And when Jungkook reaches his destination, he can tell before he does.

There's people forming queues from meters away, the chaotic sound of murmurs and chatter filling the air. There's sharp lighting, cameras, so many people.

It makes Jungkook uncomfortable.

Where he currently is isn't a parking spot, so Jungkook pulls into an available space a few metres away. Turning the engine off, Jungkook grips the wheel of his car, the material feeling cold under his sweaty skin.

From where he is parked, he can see the elevated stage like walkway that has been prepared, and Jungkook decides to just stay here for a few minutes.

When Taehyung comes into sight – and just the mere thought of it makes Jungkook nervous, he will step out of his car.

He hopes Taehyung recognises him. He really does.

He looks at his watch, and the event is supposed to start in around ten minutes. Jungkook had read on the internet that it would be a red carpet cum press conference kind of event. With bated breath, he waits.

Crosses his arms, leans back in his seat, and waits. He feels like throwing up from how anxious he is – limbs all turning ice cold. Jungkook can't tell if it's Taehyung or the air conditioning inside his car.

To ease himself, Jungkook turns up the volume of the music to drown his thoughts. It's getting overwhelming, so he takes a few deep, slow breaths.

Then, he abruptly leans forward to get a better view, because he can spot a few cars come in, one after the other. Black, shiny, big cars. A limousine, even.

People keep stepping out – Jungkook recognises a few faces, but he keeps waiting to spot the face that hasn't left his mind in the last few months.

His heart pulsates against his chest when he watches Taehyung walk in.

Hair a lighter shade of brown now, and clad in all black, he looks like a dream. Like Jungkook's own version of paradise.

He wants to bolt out of the car, run to him and hug him. Wants to tell him that he's missed him so much. Wants to tell Taehyung how many hours he's spent just thinking about him – in office, in his room, wherever he's been.

Then, he realises that it sounds like he's a little obsessed, and it fills him with embarassment.

And that's when he starts to overthink.

There's so many people out here. Jungkook's hands start to feel clammy and cold against the steering wheel. But regardless, he gets out of the car, and starts to take small, slow steps towards Taehyung.

Seeing him again after so many days, in the flesh, albeit from far – it feels like a dream. Taehyung looks incredibly handsome, and carries himself like a celebrity would.

Then, there are a few screaming fans, and the bodyguards tackle them to protect the actors, and that sparks another train of thoughts and fears in Jungkook's mind.

What if Taehyung is weirded out by his appearance?

What if he doesn't even remember him that well?

What if the others think that he's a stalker and things get worse?

And Jungkook's heart plummets down to his stomach when he realises that he can't even move.

He wants to, but he can't bring himself to. He stands there, stuck in place, his feet feeling like bricks. Just keeps standing there, watching Taehyung from a distance.

As he sits down with the other cast and crew to answer questions, his honey voice resounding through the microphone every time he chuckles and answers. Just as beautiful as Jungkook remembers.

But maybe this isn't how it's supposed to be.

Maybe this isn't how they meet again.

Maybe they don't meet again at all.

He takes a few steps backwards until his back hits his car, and it snaps him back into his senses. With jittery fingers, he pulls the car door open, and gets in. He turns the engine on, takes one more look at Taehyung and lets out the sigh he's been holding in.

Maybe Jungkook isn't brave.

He starts the car, and drives back home.

Jungkook decides to not let his crush on Taehyung take a toll on his work. From what he's seen so far, it's really been affecting him, and not in a good way.

He loves what he does, is passionate about it, but his mind has been considerably hampered the last few days. Ever since he came back from the premiere and watching Taehyung from afar two days ago, he's spent his time moping away in his bedroom.

And when Jungkook gets tired of feeling this way, he snaps. At himself, at the situation. He just can't take it anymore.

For what, exactly? What for is he sitting in a room, so devasted, letting himself feel so empty? They met on a trip in a foreign land and it was never supposed to mean anything.

Why is he so hung up on Taehyung? Why is he so hung up on someone he's only met once?

If there was a teeny tiny, minuscule chance before, there's zero chance now that Taehyung is this hotshot actor. He's a celebrity now, and Jungkook is just... Jungkook.

He's seen Taehyung's face everywhere since then. On billboards, in magazines, on the television, on ads on the internet.

It just makes it harder to forget him. He's everywhere.

It makes it extremely difficult to forget the way he touched Jungkook, and caressed him like he cared. It makes it hard to erase the memories of his smile and the sound of his laughter. But Jungkook has had enough, and he isn't going to let these feelings ruin his lifestyle anymore.

He sits up in bed, and kicks his blanket aside. The digital clock on his nightstand says that it's 7:42 pm. He's been home for just over an hour after work, and all he's done since then is sulk.

He gets out of bed, freshens up in the bathroom and changes into some casual clothes. He styles his hair and pats his face to make himself look more awake, before dabbing some chapstick on his lips. He grabs his phone, wallet, and keys, and leaves his house.

He has no idea what he's doing, or where he's going. Just starts the car, and takes the road.

And somehow, driving on and on along Seoul's never-ending, blurry bokeh lined roads, Jungkook ends up at a gay bar.

He steps inside, feeling very blue, but the moment he does, the soft music playing makes him feel just a little better.

Nervously, he walks over to the counter and takes a seat, looking around for someone who could make him forget. At least for tonight.

A man pops up behind the counter and asks for his order, and Jungkook just asks for some whiskey on the rocks. When the bartender hands him over his drink, Jungkook thanks him, and holds the glass with shaky fingers.

He presses the rim of the glass to his lip. There's some snacks on the side and his mind immediately goes back to the way him and Taehyung enjoyed street food in Amsterdam. He squeezes his eyes shut, frustrated, and downs a generous amount of the alcohol in one go.

His throat burns, and he instantly regrets the action. But he doesn't want to be reminded of Taehyung anymore.

Jungkook makes sure not too drink too much and get wasted – it would be the opposite of what he stepped out of his house to do.

So instead, he starts to look around for other guys that might be ready to spend the night with him. But as expected, nobody really catches his eye.

There's attractive men flooding the bar, but it's like Taehyung still permanently resides in the back of his mind, and he finds it absolutely ridiculous.

Eventually, as he sips on his whiskey, brows furrowed, someone walks up to him. This person slips into the seat beside him, and a few seconds pass before he speaks.

"Hi there." A voice greets Jungkook. "Alone here?"

Jungkook huffs out a smile, and jokes. "Looks like it. I'd like to think that I'm quite the lone warrior."

"Well." The man's voice gets closer as he leans in. "You don't have to be."

Jungkook turns to look at him, and notices that this man is very handsome himself. His face is too perfect, features sharp and pretty. He holds out a hand. "I'm Sangwoo."

Jungkook stares at his hand, before extending his own out and shaking it. "Jungkook."

"So, what is someone like you doing alone at a bar?" He asks Jungkook.

"Someone like me?" Jungkook quirks a brow. "What is that supposed to mean?"

"Someone so handsome." Sangwoo leans in closer.

Their conversation is interrupted when his eyes suddenly drift towards the TV screen, and naturally, Jungkook follows his eyes. His hold on the glass loosens when he sees it.

On the screen, he can see Taehyung's new movie trailer playing. He's right there – beautiful, radiant, so out of reach. Jungkook stares at the screen, a dull throbbing ache in his heart as the scene sets in.

"What a fine man." Sangwoo comments from beside him. "He's gorgeous. Isn't he?"

Jungkook's heart suddenly starts to beat much faster, and he blushes as the memories run through his mind. "Y-yeah. Very."

"I'm going to watch this movie just for him." Sangwoo jokes. "Maybe you should watch it with me."

Jungkook bites on his lips, eyes taking in every bit of Taehyung's smile, his features displayed on the screen. "Maybe."

Sangwoo seems nice, but he doesn't feel that click. There's no connection here – and Jungkook had felt it instantly with Taehyung. The bar is too high now. Or maybe, Jungkook has just shut himself out from everyone else even without trying.

"Do you want to get out of here?" Sangwoo suggests, still smiling. "Somewhere quieter?"

And that's when Jungkook realises it. He's not only chasing the feeling – he's chasing the person. Kim Taehyung, who left such a strong impression on him. Kim Taehyung, who he probably has no chance with anymore. Kim Taehyung, who is a celebrity now.

And even if it's never going to happen, it doesn't mean Jungkook needs to replace that Taehyung shaped hole in his heart so soon, just for the sake of it. Maybe he can let the pain ebb away slowly, letting it seep through his skin on its way out.

It's okay to feel pain, after all, Jungkook tells himself. He's only human. At least, it will cement Taehyung into reality, and not make Jungkook wonder if it was all just a dream.

So, he smiles. And shakes his head. "I've got work tomorrow, but thank you for offering."

Sangwoo doesn't look offended. He just lifts his own glass and clinks it against Jungkook's. "If something is bothering you, I hope you heal soon."

Jungkook gets up, his glass now empty, and bows. "Thank you, Sangwoo-ssi. Have a good night."

Sangwoo nods. "Have a good night too, Jungkook-ssi."

The following weeks, Jungkook just tries to get through his routine like he did before. Yes, Taehyung is still always on his mind, but Jungkook has made peace with the slight ache in his heart.

It's okay, he keeps telling himself.

It's okay when he thinks about Taehyung at night. It's okay when everytime he meets a new person, he compares them to Taehyung. It's okay that he doesn't even really want to meet new people at all – one day, he'll feel better.

He'll be ready.

Jungkook gets back his focus, and eventually, Taehyung starts to fade a little from his mind. The memories become less frequent, and while Taehyung is still right there in one corner, Jungkook doesn't get upset anymore.

And then, one day, Jungkook suddenly notices the date.

February 11th.

It's three days before February 14th.

Jungkook's heart skips a beat.

He tells himself no. Tells himself that he is an idiot to even consider it. Jungkook tells himself that he should not set himself up for disappointment yet again.

And yet, there's a part of him that yearns to see Taehyung. A part that holds on to the thin, fragile string of hope that maybe Taehyung still remembers him and will show up.

Taehyung, a celebrity who probably doesn't even go out by himself in public anymore, will come to see him.

Jungkook sighs at how incredibly stupid that sounds.

He's tried everything – tried to go out on dates, tried to not keep thinking about Taehyung, tried to meet new people to replace him, but he's come full circle every single time.

Deep down, there's still an ache in his heart which keeps bugging him and telling him that he shouldn't have let Taehyung go so easy.

So, Jungkook spends the next two days trying to decide what to do. His heart is torn between the two options, even though his mind knows which one is good for him.

Incidentally, February 14th is also a Sunday, which leaves Jungkook at home and with an empty mind to lodge a lot of thoughts when he wakes up.

And that, he knows, is going to be trouble.

Honestly, it feels like Jungkook is a fan who's been longing to see his favorite celebrity, who doesn't even know he exists – and Jungkook doesn't want it to feel like that.

And yet, he can't come to a decision.

Three days go by in the blink of an eye, and he knows what the right thing to do would be in order to maintain peace inside his mind, but he still can't decide.

And hence, when Sunday comes, Jungkook finds himself wide awake even earlier than he does on the days he has work.

He laughs at himself for being shameless, but if this is his one chance to see Taehyung again without all the changes that have occurred coming in the way, he's going to take it. He gets showered and puts on his best clothes, and restlessly paces his drawing room. It's still daytime, and there's another nine hours to go, but Jungkook feels anxiety rip his heart apart as every second ticks by.

Nothing helps the pounding of his heart with the anticipation of what's going to happen.

So Jungkook just lies down, and stares at the ceiling and tries to avoid thinking about it obsessively. He tries to think about other things instead.

But of course, he fails.

Unknowingly, his eyes shut and he falls asleep, and when he opens his eyes abruptly, a good few hours have passed. He gets up, panicking and checks his watch – catches a breath when he sees it's still just one in the afternoon.

He feels relieved, and then realises that he's hungry. He gets up and walks across the living room to grab some food from the kitchen.

And then, he decides to watch some movies to keep himself busy and cut down on the anxiety. It works, because for a few hours he gets immersed in the movies and the thoughts of Taehyung get subdued and go to the back of his mind.

But when his phone alarm rings to notify him that it's 6pm, Jungkook suddenly feels nauseous again.

He turns of the TV, visits the bathroom once more and fixes his clothes and hair. And before he can worry any more, he grabs his essentials and walks out of his apartment.

Lotte World isn't too far from his place. By six thirty, he's already there.

Early. He likes being early.

The place is lit up beautifully, and there's additional Valentine's day decorations everywhere he looks. Huge red heart balloons, red lights dispersed in between the normal ones, and it makes Jungkook's heart ache a little more.

It's a day meant to celebrate love and yet, even this year, it's as mundane as ever.

At least before, he'd just be hooking up harmlessly with willing people without strings attached on either end. He would choose it over heartbreak any day.

People keep pouring in even as the evening turns into night. Jungkook waits and waits, paces around and buys himself snacks. He eats to relieve his anxiety, and to pass time.

He looks around and even tries on some rides, just to let loose for a bit.

The clock shows that it's seven thirty, and Jungkook is tired of trying to dodge what he's been feeling. In half an hour, Taehyung said he would show up.

He said so six months ago and Jungkook shouldn't really bank on it, but he does. He holds on to those words like his life depends on it.

The crowd starts to thin as the closing hour approaches, but Jungkook stands by the merry go round and waits.

He takes deep breaths and tries to calm himself. His chest literally aches and his eyes sting as the minute hand approaches 12, and the hour hand 8.

He convinces himself that he is hundred percent a fool, when there's a minute left and there's no sight of Taehyung.

And when the clock strikes eight, Jungkook still waits. He waits until the minutes pass by, and every single one of them is painfully slow, gnawing at Jungkook's heart and sucking out all his hope.

It's ten past eight when Jungkook starts to accept what he's already known for so long, and yet he waits, like an idiot.

In resignation, in defeat, in melancholy. Jungkook leans against the railing as people start to empty the park slowly, and starts to think about how awful the rest of his night is going to be.

He turns, and starts to leave.

But he can't, because a pair of arms wrap around his waist and pull him closer, embracing him completely in warmth. It's fast, and so sudden, that it doesn't even register at first.

But then, Jungkook realises it, and it feels like someone just gave him fresh air to breathe after a long, long time.

"Fuck, of course I came." Taehyung snuggles in closer, not caring about the people around them at all. "I had been waiting for this day since we parted ways."

"No way." Jungkook says, and breaks down into tears. He turns around in Taehyung's embrace, slowly shifting and when they're face to face, he lifts his gaze and looks Taehyung in the eye.

Six months later. It's been six very long months.

"You're late." Jungkook complains, eyes teary and red and lips all swollen. His brows are drawn together and he looks annoyed.

Angry. Whiny. But Taehyung finds it so adorable.

"I'm so sorry." Taehyung tilts his head and says. "Hyung was so nervous."

"Nervous? You?" Jungkook wipes his nose with the back of his sleeve. "You are the celebrity. The hotshot now. You were nervous? Do you even–"

"You're so beautiful, Jungkook." Taehyung cups his face. "I can't believe you're here with me right now."

"Stop it." Jungkook says, the tears flowing out uncontrollably. "You– you really came."

"Stop saying that." Taehyung hugs him tighter and nuzzles into the crook of Jungkook's neck. "I'm a man of my words. Why are you crying? We're here together now."

"I was so scared that I was hoping for nothing and just setting myself up for disappointment." Jungkook confesses, sniveling as they hold each other. "I saw your– I saw your movie thing. You're famous now. Why would I expect you to show up?"

"Because I meant it when I said I liked you?" Taehyung says, like it should be obvious. "I didn't want to get involved then because I had the movie and everything and just...but– it was stupid. I regretted it every day after that."

"Really?" Jungkook asks, tears smudged under his huge eyes.

Taehyung nods, as he wipes them away with the pad of his thumb. "I thought you'd move on."

"I couldn't." Jungkook says. "Cursed myself so many times for not asking for your number."

"Me too." Taehyung says, looking just as frustrated as Jungkook now. "I was such an idiot. We were both... such idiots."

Jungkook just takes a deep breath, and takes in the sight in front of him. Taehyung.

"Thank you for keeping your word, too." Taehyung says, and hugs Jungkook again. He digs his nose into Jungkook's shoulder, and it seems like he's breathing him in. "I'm so glad you're here. I won't let you go without at least a proper date this time."

"Just a date?" Jungkook asks, voice feeble but hands wrapping tighter around Taehyung, as if to hold on tight to this moment lest it turns out to be an illusion.

"I sure as hell hope not." Taehyung says, and presses a kiss to Jungkook's cheek. "I missed you."

"Me too." Jungkook smiles this time, and nuzzles his nose into Taehyung's shoulder too.

"Did you watch the movie?" Taehyung asks.

Jungkook shakes his head. "Couldn't bring myself to."

"Why not?" Taehyung asks, gently caressing the back of Jungkook's head. Then, he chuckles. "Were the promos that bad?"

"No." Jungkook shakes his head. "You were amazing. I saw the trailers. And that broke me in itself. I didn't know if I could handle the whole movie."

"Aw, baby." Taehyung says. "Come, let's go to my place and watch it together if you want."

Jungkook breaks the hug, looks into his eyes and nods. "Okay. I really missed you so much."

"I really, really missed you too." Taehyung says. "We're seeing each other after what, six months?"

"Actually." Jungkook begins, and bites his lips. "I went to your premiere. Just couldn't make it too close to you. Chickened out. I watched you from a distance."

"You..." Taehyung looks at him, eyes wide. "Jungkook. You..."

And without another word, Taehyung pulls him closer, and presses a kiss to his lips. It's the purest thing ever, and Jungkook feels all the stress and pain drain out of his body as Taehyung kisses him.

And then, Taehyung pulls away, and whispers against his lips.

"So you really came to see me that day, hmm?" Taehyung smiles. "I knew I wasn't hallucinating."
