Henry and Daniel Fyodorvich had been dating for 10 years. They were basically married. They’ve been friends with Phil and Claire Dunphy since they got together. “Hey Henry, do you and Danny want to come over for dinner?” Phil asks over the phone. Henry mouths Dunphy to Daniel. Daniel shrugs and whispers “Up to you.”
“Sure Phil see you at Six?”
“Yup.” Phil hangs up. Henry sits down next to Daniel on the couch.
“Do we have to bring wine?” Daniel asks.
“Have you met Claire?”
“We’ll get one from the cabinet.” Daniel wraps his shoulder around Henry. “Can we please get to the movie?”

The two arrived at the Dunphy house at 5:30 with a nice bottle of wine and cookies. They knock on the door. “Uncle Danny!” Luke pulls open the door and hugs the two men.
“Hey buddy.” Daniel picks up Luke and they step inside. “Phil, Claire we’re here.” Henry set the wine and cookies on the side table.
“Uncle Henry/Daniel,” Alex and Haley run into the living room.
“Girls,” Henry exclaims, pulling them into a hug.
“Henry, Daniel it’s great to see you guys,” Claire walks into the room with Phil following behind.
“We brought these for you,” Henry picks up the wine and cookies, passing them to Claire.
“Thank you.”
“Uncles I’ve got to show you my room,” Luke shouts as he grabs the two hands and drags them up the stairs.

The doorbell rings. “I got it.” Henry stands up and opens the door. It was two men and a baby.
“Who are you?” The man with the red hair questions.
“Oh come on in.” Henry stands out of the way. “Claire, our brother is here!” He shouts into the house.
“Oh great. Mitchell, Cameron this is Henry,” Claire introduces. Claire passes Henry a glass of wine.
“I thought this was a family gathering?” Cameron questions.
“Well Henry and Daniel have known us for years,” Claire explains.
“It’s nice meeting you,” Henry waves.
“Agreed. My name is Mitchell.” Henry held out his hand.
“Henry, do you want a drink?” They shake hands.
“Yes,” Mitchell groans. He and Mitchell walk to the kitchen. “So who is Daniel?” Mitchell questions.
“My ‘husband’ he’s with Luke.” Henry points over to Daniel playing with Luke on the ground.
“I didn’t know Claire knew other gay couples,” Mitchell states as he gets past a glass of wine.
“We met them ten years ago at a club,” Henry explains.
“Oh my god, do Phil and Claire have a secret life?” Mitchell questions.
“Probably,” Henry shrugs.
“Hey. Hen, who is this?” Daniel asks as he wraps his arm around Henry.
“Mitchell, he's Claire’s brother and I’m guessing the other man is your boyfriend,” Henry introduces.
“Yes, that's Cameron and our adoptive daughter Lily.”

Henry and Daniel made it to their home a bit tipsy but otherwise fine. “Hey Hen that was a crazy night,” Daniel states as they fall into bed. “But did you notice Cam and Mitch?”
“Yeah, Cam seems really toxic,” Henry agrees.
“I was going to say Mitch is hot but yeah that too.”
