Until Morning Comes

Summary:

They were fated to be and yet they could never be together. It was far too dangerous and Jimin would never put Jungkook’s life at risk.

Chapter Text

Vienna

Jimin wasn’t particularly fond of large social gatherings and had been quite successful over the years in avoiding to attend any, but that changed after he’d eventually given in and had agreed to accompany his best friend to a masked ball that was organized by one of their business partners. Jimin had never met them in person, but as he was strutting around the ballroom, he had to admit that they had class.

It was one of those annual Jeon’s parties that he’d heard so much about, and while Jimin wasn’t much for socializing and despised such posh crowds with passion, the orchestra that was performing was lovely and the atmosphere was nice. He was quite enjoying himself, although that could easily be explained by the wine he was having. The taste was immaculate, somewhat peculiar with a familiar and lingering note that shouldn’t be there.

Jimin emptied his glass, licking his lips. He stopped by one of the buffet tables, placing his empty glass down and grabbing a full one. He twirled the liquid inside, watching it swirl before he brought it closer to his nose, very subtly sniffing it. He could easily distinguish the obvious smell of berries that he was used to, but there was an underlying, hard to ignore metallic scent that tickled his nostrils, one that he appreciated nevertheless.

Jimin couldn’t help but smile at his new discovery, taking a sip of the wine and humming pleasantly. He didn’t expect it, but he suddenly didn’t regret coming here at all. On the contrary, he was very curious to meet the Jeons, even though it was a bit risky. But as long as he stayed careful, there was no harm in having a little fun.

His friend was nowhere to be seen, most likely mingling with other guests, and Jimin was left to his own company, cold eyes meeting everyone who dared to look in his direction and think of approaching him. Jimin was on a mission right now and had absolutely no interest in talking to anyone who wasn’t a Jeon.

He stopped, taking a look around. Despite the masquerade masks, he could recognize most of the guests, even though he had never met them in person. It was his first public appearance, but while his name appeared on the guest list, no one seemed to know who he was and Jimin needed it to stay that way.

He took another sip of wine, scanning the crowd. Even if he assumed that his theory was right, there were way too many people to confirm it. Both his sense of smell and hearing were already heightened, but they were too overwhelmed by so many new scents and voices to be able to aid him in his search.

But if there was one thing about him that Jimin excelled at, if he could put it that way, it was that he was extremely lucky and tonight wasn’t an exception.

“Your bullshit has a body count.”

It was nothing but a low murmur, a whisper in the far distance, but somehow Jimin heard it clearly and was immediately certain that he’d found the one he was looking for.

He turned around, tuning out everything else, every other and meaningless sound, and focusing on the repeating noise of the door opening and closing. His eyes easily located the door to the balcony, with men of all ages walking in and out, either coming back or going out to smoke a cigarette.

“And you have your boyfriend to thank for that.”

Jimin ignored all those men, shifting a bit, his eyes moving alongside the wall until they fell on a pair of men standing a bit further to the side, both of them engaged in a conversation—or perhaps an argument—that Jimin found incredibly interesting; interesting enough to walk in their direction, moving closer and closer, and even going as far as smiling coquettishly and waving at one of them when their eyes met.

It was risky, Jimin knew that. His friend would tell him that he was insane, but the two strangers’ hearts weren’t beating and Jimin wanted to know why.

He wanted to know why the youngest son of the owner of this beautiful winter residence and the host of this ball, none other than Jeon Jungkook, was a vampire.

Just like him.

The other man noticed Jimin approaching and his expression changed entirely, his eyes looking cold and threatening, his body tense and ready to pounce at any given moment. But as he was about to move protectively to the front, Jungkook didn’t let him, stopping him by placing his hand in front of his chest.

The two looked at each other briefly, exchanging a wordless conversation that ended with Jungkook nodding in the crowd’s overall direction. By the time Jimin reached them, Jungkook’s friend was gone and they were left alone. Jungkook’s full attention was on him and he didn’t avert his eyes even for a second, watching Jimin’s every move.

Jimin let himself study Jungkook for a moment as well, wishing he wasn’t wearing a mask as he trailed his eyes from his dark hair down to the slope of his nose, making a mental note of how pink his lips were and that there was a tiny mole sitting just below his bottom lip. Jungkook looked fit in his tuxedo, and Jimin was not embarrassed at all to give him a once-over and lick his lips, pleased with what he was seeing.

Jungkook fought a smile, and while Jimin expected both of them to bow in a simple greeting, he took it a step further, holding his hand palm up and looking at Jimin expectantly as he waited. When Jimin placed his hand in his, Jungkook brought their hands to his lips, pressing a soft kiss to Jimin’s knuckles.

“I don’t think I’ve seen you here before,” Jungkook said in perfect English, squeezing Jimin’s hand before eventually releasing it. His voice surprised Jimin in how soft and melodic it was, not grating in any way and pleasant to his ears. “I’d remember if I did.”

Jimin moved to stand by his side, making sure that he could still overlook the ballroom while they talked, a small smile playing on his lips at Jungkook’s obvious attempt to flirt with him.

“That’s flattering, Jungkook-ssi,” he answered in Korean, surprising Jungkook. “I’m not particularly fond of such grandiose events, I’m afraid. And it’s a hassle to travel this far, let alone for a drink,” as he said that, he took another sip, not missing how Jungkook’s big, doe eyes zeroed in on his lips.

“What made you change your mind this time, then?”

Jimin glanced ahead, searching for the familiar mop of hair. It didn’t take him long, and he looked away as soon as he made sure that Taehyung, his best friend, was still here in the same room with him. “My friend insisted on coming.”

“Which one is it?”

Jungkook stepped closer and Jimin breathed in his scent, the action making his toes curl in his shoes, the sudden wave of nostalgia taking him momentarily aback. Thankfully, Jungkook didn’t seem to notice, and while shaken up a bit on the inside, Jimin pointed calmly to where Taehyung was. His friend was stuck between two men, one shorter than him and the other…

Huh.

“The one flirting with your friend.” Jimin chuckled, hiding his mouth behind the glass and shaking his head a little. What a small world it was, to think that out of everyone here Taehyung would go after the one person that Jungkook was closely acquainted with, not to mention a taken man.

Jungkook followed his finger, his eyes widening briefly once he spotted their friends before he laughed as well, letting himself relax again. He was pressed against Jimin’s side now, and even though Jimin didn’t mind it at all and had somewhat expected it, the boldness of it still confounded him.

Jungkook was nothing like Jimin would’ve expected him to be, only better.

“They seem to be getting along well,” Jungkook made an observation just as the taller of the two men pulled Taehyung closer and kissed him on the lips. Jimin barely moved an inch when Jungkook snaked his arms around his waist, propping his chin on his shoulder. “And yet, somehow, I still don’t know your name,” he whispered close to Jimin’s ear.

Jimin would have to lie to say that he wasn’t affected by Jungkook’s advances, the immediate connection he felt as soon as he’d found himself in his presence, the sparks flying every time they touched.

“You’ve never asked,” Jimin matched the change in his inflection, bringing his voice down to a whisper as well, pressing back into him and tilting his head a little. Their faces met like this, just a few breaths apart, and Jimin’s stomach swirled with a desire so strong that he almost gasped when he looked into Jungkook’s dark, beautiful eyes.

Jungkook’s grip on his waist tightened. “What’s your name, beautiful?”

Jimin looked away, if only to recollect himself, hiding a smile and staring at nothing in particular as he remembered about the glass of wine he was holding and took another sip. “Julien Dupont.”

There was a short pause and Jungkook laughed, his short puffs of breath tickling Jimin’s ear. “That explains why you’ve been cancelling my family’s invitations all this time, but…” The tone of his voice got darker, sending shivers down Jimin’s spine. “I need you to tell me your real name.”

Jimin had no idea what compelled him to actually tell him, but despite meeting just a few minutes ago, Jimin felt safe in Jungkook’s arms; safe enough to entrust him with his name.

“Park Jimin,” he revealed, just like that destroying the perfect cover that the Dupont family gave him over the past twenty years because of how media shy they were, not a single public photo of them circulating anywhere in the media.

And he didn’t regret it even one bit.

“Well, Jimin-ssi…” Jungkook took the glass from him, his hands disappearing from Jimin’s body as he set it down on the floor. He then swerved around him to the front, holding his hand out for Jimin to take. “It’s very nice to meet you. May I have the pleasure of dancing with you?” he asked, looking so incredibly charming that Jimin already knew he could never say ‘no’ to him.

With their hands clasped, they walked together to the center of the room where other couples were dancing. Ignoring the dance etiquette, Jungkook pulled him flush against his chest, claiming back his waist with his big hands. Jimin wrapped his hands around Jungkook’s neck, and although the other dancers were at least attempting to waltz their way through the dance floor, they just stayed close, swaying slowly to the music.

It was obvious that it wasn’t dancing that Jungkook had in mind, merely using it as an excuse to be able to touch Jimin shamelessly, his lips easily finding their way to Jimin’s neck and pressing soft kisses to his skin.

Jimin liked Jungkook’s eagerness, exposing some more of his neck to him, a content sigh leaving his lips when Jungkook pressed his lips harder and sucked a few bruises there. Jimin was almost sure that Jungkook was itching to push it a bit further, unbutton his collar, pull it down, pierce his skin and sink his teeth into his flesh to take what was his.

Jimin wanted to let him, but he also wanted to talk to him more. When he tugged at Jungkook’s hair, pulling him away from his neck, Jungkook exhaled a shuddered breath, his eyes blurred for a moment almost as if he was waking up from a deep trance.

They were far apart enough now to lock eyes with each other and Jimin brought his thumb to Jungkook’s lips, pressing against his top one and feeling the extracted fang under his fingertip, not missing how Jungkook swallowed down hungrily.

Just like that, he was certain that Jungkook must’ve been freshly turned and didn’t know how to control his urges yet. It was more than likely that he didn’t even know who they were to each other and why he was being this needy and elated right now.

“How old are you, Jungkook-ssi?” Jimin asked, pulling at his bottom lip this time. He also took a quick look around them to make sure that no one was paying them any attention, and it was then that Jungkook took his thumb unceremoniously into his mouth and sucked on it, the lewd noise he made being thankfully drawn out by the orchestra.

Jungkook didn’t release his thumb, swiping his tongue around it before he answered, slurring a bit, “Twenty eight. You?”

“Twenty seven.”

“How long have you been twenty seven for?”

“A while.”

Unsatisfied with his answer, Jungkook opened his mouth, letting go of his thumb.

Jimin smiled, not fazed by it, wiping away the saliva from Jungkook’s chin as he was playing with the hairs on his nape with his other hand. “What, would you like to call me hyung?”

“I’d rather call you mine,” was all Jungkook said before his lips were on his, a surprise gasp making its way past Jimin’s own as Jungkook trapped them both in a searing kiss that was way too inappropriate for the setting they were in.

Jungkook was kissing him as if he was starving and Jimin was the only person who could quench his hunger; like there was no tomorrow and they were the only people left on earth and neither of them cared because they didn’t need anyone else but each other.

Jimin loved it.

He loved Jungkook’s eyes on him that made him feel like he was the only person that mattered. The way Jungkook’s fingers pressed into his hips, his grip strong enough to leave a bruise. How Jungkook sucked his tongue into his mouth, kissing him so passionately that Jimin was sure he’d have run out of air if he wasn’t already dead.

He loved it all.

He’d never thought that he’d ever be able to experience it; to get drunk on the aphrodisiac that was Jungkook, but now that he was here, he was going to let himself have it.

At least until morning came.

He was going to claim Jungkook, because it just so happened that they weren’t just Jungkook and Jimin, two insignificant vampires who met randomly at a masked ball and decided to hook up with each other. No. They were so much more, and even though Jungkook wasn’t aware of it, it was okay, because Jimin knew.

He knew that they were soulmates and he couldn’t just walk away, not without making Jungkook scream his name and remember until the eternity that he belonged to him. That they belonged to each other and no one would ever make Jungkook feel as good as he was about to.

Jimin felt Jungkook’s fang poke his lip, the pressure enough to draw blood, but before Jungkook could have a taste, Jimin broke the kiss and despite Jungkook’s meek whines of protest, pulled him away from the parquet and somewhere to the side. He flatted his tongue against his lip in the meantime, catching the blood and waiting for the cut to close before he talked to Jungkook again.

“You’re impatient, aren’t you?” Jimin asked as soon as they were out of everyone’s earshot, hidden away in the least crowded area of the ballroom, his lip perfectly plump and healed, no longer bleeding to Jungkook’s disappointment.

“It’s not my fault you smell so nice,” Jungkook breathed out, his gaze intense and his eyes half-lidded and dark; so deliciously dark.

“Smell, huh?” Jimin puckered his lips, preening at the compliment, tilting his head as he trailed his finger down Jungkook’s chest, not missing how Jungkook trembled under his touch.

But as the words processed themselves in his mind, Jimin was suddenly serious, needing to understand and get to the bottom of it first before they could take things any further. “You mean my blood? Is that blood I tasted in the wine as well? Is it hunger? Does the blood thirst get too much?”

Jungkook blinked, getting a whiplash at the sharp change in Jimin’s attitude. Once he made sense of Jimin’s words, sobering up slightly and toning down his evident arousal, he shook his head slowly. “No—I mean, yes, it is human blood that’s in the wine, but it’s not the blood thirst that I’m struggling with.”

“What is it, then?” Jimin stepped closer, cupping his face and watching as Jungkook’s eyelids fluttered shut at his touch, all the tension disappearing from his body. “There’s clearly something bothering you, I can sense it.”

Jungkook didn’t think anything of how intrusive Jimin’s concern was, already trusting him, making it easy for Jimin to sort of take advantage of him and explain everything to him on his own terms. Jungkook obviously struggled to keep himself under control and had no idea about the phenomenon that was soulmates, the latter making sense as it wasn’t something that humans were even capable of experiencing.

“Tell me,” Jimin prodded.

Jungkook eventually opened his eyes and gave in, doing his best to focus on Jimin and not divert his attention from his eyes to his lips and especially down to his neck, even though it was apparent that he was struggling with it. “Even as a human, I used to be very sensitive to smell. But after I turned, I developed a severe case of hyperosmia.”

Jungkook huffed out a breath, scrunching his nose. “Every breath I take is overwhelming, pushing my senses into overdrive and it’s driving me crazy. I often feel like I’m losing my mind, and everything… Everything feels so heightened and smells so bad. It’s like I can’t breathe, even though I’m technically dead. But blood, drinking blood makes it better and you…” he gasped, leaning down.

Jimin didn’t stop him when Jungkook pressed his nose to the crook of his neck, breathing him in. “You smell so good, and for the first time since I became this, I feel calm. Like I can breathe again,” he whispered, pulling Jimin in again, his arms fully wrapping around him.

Jimin brought his arms to his sides, letting Jungkook manhandle him as he ran over Jungkook’s words in his head, already having a solid guess as to what was happening. It was rare, but it occurred sometimes.

They were soulmates, two fated souls who were meant to be together, and that already made their bond special. They were connected by an invisible thread and instantly upon their meeting just now, they’d become united as one. But they were also vampires and that allowed them to be even closer as that thread had naturally adapted to their needs.

By sharing blood with each other, leaving claiming bites on their partners and becoming mates, vampires could turn such a connection into something even more intimate. They could share their thoughts with each other in a limited way, sense their strong emotions and even recognize the physical stimuli in their bodies such as pain or intense pleasure.

By definition, vampires were lonesome predators, but even for them it was such an euphoric and long awaited moment when they could finally connect with their soulmate and be with them for all eternity. That, however, didn’t change that they were still their own persons, having the autonomy to leave at all times, being able to choose whether to remain in the company of their soulmate or not.

In some rare cases, though, soulmates were dependent on each other and could not survive without linking their threads and being with each other at all times. It worked differently depending on the species, but for vampires, it could often be fatal.

In order for Jungkook to feel okay, he needed Jimin. He needed his blood and to be claimed by him. But while Jimin was going to do the latter, he couldn’t stay with Jungkook. He wished he could, but it simply wasn’t an option and Jungkook couldn’t go with him, either.

Jungkook needed to stay as far away from him as possible, but if Jimin didn’t do something, he was going to lose his mind sooner than later and then…

Jimin felt Jungkook’s lips on his neck, and a sharp intake of air later, Jungkook squeezed his body in his arms, his voice desperate as he pleaded, “I want you. Jimin, I want you so bad. Please, please let me—”

“Then have me,” Jimin cut in and before he could even blink, they were outside the ballroom, Jungkook pulling him away from the hustle of the ball somewhere more quiet, more dark and where no one could disturb them.

As soon as they stepped into the room, before Jimin could even suggest that they should keep their masks on to make it more fun—and so Jungkook wouldn’t know how he looked like in order to keep his identity hidden—Jungkook ripped them off their faces and pinned him against the door, his maroon eyes staring right into his; right into his very soul, making Jimin feel special, like there was something in him that was worth looking at.

It was such a surreal feeling. Jimin knew nothing about Jungkook, after all. And yet if he only asked, Jimin would give him the world, going as far as burning everything just to keep him warm. He didn’t know whether it was because they were soulmates, but he already felt so incredibly attached to Jungkook that it all made sense to him; that need to protect him, give him everything and make him feel good.

Which was probably why Jimin didn’t hesitate at all as he guided Jungkook back to his neck, twisting his fingers into his hair and tossing his head back for better access. “Go ahead, darling,” he said, giving Jungkook permission to do what he wanted to do the most.

Jungkook didn’t have to be asked twice, tugging at his collar and sinking his teeth into Jimin’s skin right where his jugular vein was, not being gentle about it at all. Jimin didn’t mind, cradling his fingers through Jungkook’s hair as he was drinking from him, needy and satisfied whines escaping Jungkook’s lips every now and then.

Jimin, meanwhile, was on cloud nine, feeling himself fall apart in Jungkook’s arms, his toes curling at the known heat coiling in his stomach, making his whole body shiver in anticipation. He placed his hands on Jungkook’s shoulders, squeezing briefly before dragging his hands lower and tugging at his jacket in hopes that Jungkook would get the hint and remove it.

Absent-mindedly, Jungkook did.

Jimin continued with his ministrations and, not bothering to unbutton it, grabbed his shirt and ripped it apart. They were positioned in such a way that Jimin couldn’t see it, but as he was running his fingertips over Jungkook’s chest, he could tell how well defined his body was and so responsive, too. As his thumbs grazed over Jungkook’s nipples, Jungkook gasped, momentarily pulling back before going right back in.

Jimin took it as an invitation, pinching and twisting one of the nubs, loving the little whines Jungkook graced him with every time he used a bit more force and being more rough about it. Jungkook’s stomach muscles contracted as Jimin felt the area, his intentions being very clear in the way he let his hand explore lower, breaching past Jungkook’s groin area, purposefully avoiding where Jungkook wanted him to touch him the most and playing with his zipper instead. Jungkook bit him hard in response, sending a sudden rush of arousal all the way down to Jimin’s cock and making him moan.

“Stop teasing,” Jungkook said, moving further up Jimin’s neck, leaving a kiss on his Adam’s apple.

Jimin lifted his head, meeting him halfway. Jungkook’s hands slid lower, gripping his ass, and as he harshly pulled him against himself, pressing their fronts together, their lips met again in a bruising kiss, Jimin tasting his own blood on Jungkook’s tongue.

Jimin had already noticed that Jungkook was hard, and he was drinking his soft little gasps and whines every time their lengths dragged against one another, the friction clouding both of their minds.

“Don’t tease, just kiss me.” Jungkook breathed against his lips, no longer the gentleman he was when they met, his hands groping Jimin’s ass, spreading his cheeks apart, fingers pressing and touching, frustrated at his pants being in the way.

“Why? You don’t like it when I tease you?” Jimin smirked, taking mercy on him, but only to make a point, and finally pressing the heel of his palm against Jungkook’s erection through the fabric. “Because this seems to suggest otherwise, darling.”

Jungkook’s lips parted and he moaned, pushing back against Jimin’s hand. When Jimin attempted to take his hand back, Jungkook grabbed his wrist, guiding it back. “Jimin, please—”

“Hyung,” Jimin cut him off. “Call me hyung.”

Jungkook acknowledged it with a nod, although Jimin wasn’t even sure if he listened to a word he’d just said. Luckily for him, Jimin was here to please him and he opened Jungkook’s zipper, popping off his button and pushing his dress pants down to his meaty thighs.

“Tell hyung what you want.”

“You,” Jungkook said, watching Jimin play with the waistband of his boxers, his fingers still wrapped around his wrist. “I want you, hyung… inside me.”

Jimin licked his lips, not having anything against that request at all nor Jungkook moving his hand away from his neglected and leaking cock to his ass. Jimin squeezed his cheek, giving it a tentative slap before repeating it again once Jungkook hummed in approval, feeling it jiggle under his fingertips.

Jungkook looked expectant, waiting for something to happen, all the blood in his body going straight to his cheeks and turning them a pretty shade of pink. But Jimin only smirked in amusement, stepping away from the door and proceeding to shed off his jacket first, then painfully slowly unbuttoning his shirt.

“Go lie down on the bed for me, darling,” he ordered when Jungkook opened his mouth to say something. “Hyung will take care of you.”

When Jungkook still didn’t move, his doe eyes focused on him undressing, Jimin’s expression softened a little and once he was shirtless, he walked to Jungkook and pressed a kiss to his lips. “Is this okay?” he asked. “Should I tone it down a little? If it’s not something you enjoy–”

Jungkook instantly shook his head ‘no’, snapping back from whatever daze he was in just mere seconds ago. “No, don’t stop. You’re just… You’re so gorgeous, hyung. I can’t believe how lucky I am.”

Jimin felt a little shy at that, but also happy to know that his soulmate found him attractive. Which was exactly why he unbuttoned his pants, making a show of it as he proceeded to take them off, including his underwear.

Jungkook watched enthralled, his throat bobbing when Jimin’s cock was freed from the shackles of his underwear, looking semi-hard and flushed at the tip. There it was, that hunger again in Jungkook’s eyes, and Jimin took a step towards him, pressing a finger to his chest.

“Bed. Now.”

Jungkook didn’t protest this time, undressing himself quickly and climbing on the bed. Jimin didn’t even have to ask him and, as if reading his mind, Jungkook got down on all fours, pushing his ass up in the air, ready for Jimin to take care of him.

Not wanting to waste any more time, Jimin joined him from behind, gentle fingers skimming over Jungkook’s thighs, massaging their way inwards, one hand coming up to fiddle with his balls. Jungkook’s sounds of pleasure were like music to Jimin’s ears, even better than the orchestra they’d left behind in the ballroom. It only made sense that Jimin wanted to hear more of them and he shivered when his lips pressed against the soft flesh of Jungkook’s thigh, sucking a bruise and tasting his blood, getting incredibly hard just because Jungkook screamed, taken by surprise as he hadn’t expected having his blood drank to feel so good.

“Is this your first time, Jungkookie?” Jimin asked, abandoning Jungkook’s balls and circling his fingers around his thick length. He gathered the precum from the tip and used it to ease the slide, stroking him a few times and enjoying how Jungkook shuddered at the touch, a thin layer of perspiration already forming on his skin. “Has no one ever drunk your blood before?”

“Y-yes, never—ah,” Jungkook gasped, sounding so fucked out already and Jimin didn’t even make him come once. He must’ve been really struggling with the side effects of their soulmate bond and now that they were together, his emotions, and his body as well, must’ve been sent into overdrive.

It was the good kind of overwhelming, though, only encouraging Jimin to keep going.

Jimin felt a bit drunk on Jungkook’s blood, even though he didn’t have that much of it. The sweet taste and the simple knowledge that this pretty man kneeling in front of him and seeking his touch was his were enough to drive Jimin crazy. He could sense that Jungkook was already close, and that only prompted him to speed up his movements, Jungkook’s obscene moans keeping him going.

When he bit into Jungkook for the second time, his inner thigh this time, it wasn’t to taste or to make him see stars, but to sink his teeth as deep as he could, easily tearing his flesh and officially claiming Jungkook as his. Jimin had bit his lip beforehand and as he could feel their blood mixing in his mouth, he knew that the first part of the process was complete.

Instead of sucking on it, Jimin lapped at the open wound with his tongue, being very diligent about pushing the blood back into Jungkook’s body that acted like a sponge right now, soaking it all up. When he was sure that it was done, he loosened his jaw and pulled away, watching the bite healing up almost immediately. He’d been stroking Jungkook’s cock all this time, and he only belatedly realized that he’d sent Jungkook over the edge, his hand coated in hot cum and Jungkook beginning to whine from overstimulation.

When Jimin looked down, he saw that he’d leaked precum all over the duvet himself, and after letting go of Jungkook’s cock, he tugged at himself once or twice to relieve some of the tension as well. Jungkook had already sunken down to his elbows, his face burrowed in the pillow, his legs shaking.

He was so good and obedient for Jimin that, for the lack of better alternatives, using the only thing they had in excess to stretch him—which was their own blood and Jungkook’s cum—Jimin worked him loose and open fast, being careful not to make him come again just yet.

Jungkook collapsed on the mattress after Jimin told him to, grabby hands pulling at Jimin’s shoulders and eager lips searching for his. Jimin kissed him, lining himself with his pretty hole and pushing in without any prior warnings. Jungkook’s jaw went slack as he moaned, strong legs wrapping around Jimin and pushing him forward all the way until he was burrowed to the hilt.

Jimin took a second to appreciate this moment, loving to be this close to Jungkook, kissing him softly, telling him how well he was doing while running his fingers through his sweaty hair. But eventually, as Jungkook attached himself to his neck once again, greedily taking more, Jimin started moving, setting an almost unreal pace. The sound of his balls slapping Jungkook’s ass filled the silence, mixing with his ragged breathing and Jungkook’s pretty whines.

The bed was shaking under their weight, and with Jungkook’s walls hugging him so tightly and as he was hitting Jungkook’s sweet spot with every snap of his hips, Jimin knew that they both were incredibly close. There was so much precum accumulating in Jungkook’s navel, smearing all over Jimin’s stomach, and all it took was for Jimin to slip his hand in between their bodies, take Jungkook’s fat cock in his hand and Jungkook was coming.

“Jimin—ah! Ah, ah, fuck!” Jungkook let go of him with a scream, throwing his head back, some blood trailing down his chin and his back arching. Spurts of white shot from his cock and Jimin milked him through his orgasm, not slowing down even for a second, soon burrowing himself deeper and, with his face pressed to the junction of Jungkook’s neck, coming inside him.

But that didn’t mark the end of the night for them.

After they rested a bit, coming off their high, cuddling with each other and talking in hushed whispers, Jungkook—who noticed that he was feeling way more like himself and that his mind was much clearer, no longer swimming with unnecessary thoughts that were making him insane—wanted to go again.

That was how Jimin found himself on his back instead, his hands pinned to the bed and with Jungkook hovering above him, having him in every way he wanted. It wasn’t until dawn that Jungkook finally fell asleep curled up next to him, and Jimin got up from the bed, picking up his clothes from the floor and dressing himself up quietly.

Jimin wished he could stay and bathe in his post sex bliss longer and with Jungkook by his side, but unless he wanted Taehyung to cause some terror in the residence and murder everyone until he found him safe and sound, he needed to get going. But not before making sure that Jungkook would never again face any disadvantages due to their soulmate bond.

He looked around the room, his eyes stopping on a shallow bowl that stood on one of the wooden tables and was decorated with fake fruits. After throwing them away, Jimin quickly grabbed the bowl and moved to sit by the vanity table, placing it down and then right after rolling one of his sleeves up.

He bit into his wrist and, as his blood was dripping into the bowl, he closed his eyes, reciting an incantation. Jimin was a vampire, not a witch, and technically couldn’t use magic, but one of his friends was an incredibly powerful one, enabling him to use blood magic, including a few simple spells like the communication one.

Jimin opened his eyes, watching the blood swirl inside the bowl as he brought his wrist to his lips, licking away any remaining blood before the tiny wound closed.

For a moment, there was no answer and then, “Jimin-ah, do you even know what time—”

“Shh,” Jimin shushed him, glancing behind his shoulder to make sure that Jungkook was still asleep. “Keep your voice down, hyung.”

“Why?” his hyung inquired, more awake than he was before, speaking in a whisper. “Has something happened? Are you and Tae in trouble?”

“No, we’re fine,” Jimin answered curtly, knowing that they were going to have more time to talk later. “Is Namjoon hyung awake? I need him to help me with something.”

“Help you with what?”

“Hyung—”

“I’m awake, Jimin-ah,” Namjoon joined the conversation with a yawn, drowning out whatever Yoongi was grumbling about under his breath. “Tell us what you need help with and we’ll get right to it.”

Jimin briefly explained to them how he met Jungkook and that they were soulmates, focusing more on describing his condition. “…which is why I need you to make me a vial into a necklace, then link it directly to my blood so it can refill itself every time Jungkook empties it. That way, having infinite access to my blood, he’ll never again experience any of those nasty symptoms and will be able to live a normal life.”

“I don’t even know where to start.” Yoongi laughed in disbelief, while Namjoon remained silent. “Do you even hear yourself? Jimin, are you insane? I don’t care if he’s your soulmate, we’re not letting you do this—”

Jimin knew that it was one of his most reckless ideas and if discovered, could end up badly for him, but he had no other choice and his mind had been already made. “I’m not asking you for permission, hyung. Can you do it or not?”

Before Yoongi could say anything else, Namjoon sighed, “Give me a few minutes. We’ll call you back once it’s done.”

Jimin thanked them, and as he waited for them to get back to him, he grabbed a piece of paper from one of the drawers and a pen, writing Jungkook a letter. He couldn’t be as detailed as he would’ve liked, but he included enough details for Jungkook to know why he couldn’t stay with him and why Jungkook should refrain from looking for him.

Jimin assured him that he was going to be okay now, and that they were soulmates and what it actually meant for them. Once he was done, he put a destruction spell on the letter, one that would activate as soon as Jungkook finished reading it.

He was about to fold the paper in half and place it on the pillow next to Jungkook’s when something dropped into the bowl, making him pay attention and notice that there was now a black bullet necklace that wasn’t there before. Jimin was skeptical at first as he pulled it out, using a tissue to wipe off the blood residue from it, but he could already smell his blood inside it and knew that the bullet shell was just the disguise for the vial that was hiding within.

The blood in the bowl swirled again, and Jimin heard Namjoon say, “It’s done.”

“Yes. Thank you, it’s perfect, hyung.”

“I put a few protection and cloaking spells on it to make sure that no one except for you and Jungkook will sniff out the blood inside, let alone be able to connect it to you. The spell linking it to you will only work if Jungkook’s using it. In the hands of anyone else, it’ll be nothing but a cheap and useless pendant.”

“He also put a limit on the amount of blood your soulmate can drink,” Yoongi added. “And before you say anything, just because he’s your soulmate, it doesn’t mean that he can be trusted. You two just met, for fuck’s sake. It’s better to be safe than sorry.”

Jimin didn’t argue with them, knowing that they were right. He thanked them again, promising that he and Taehyung were going to be back soon. He also asked them to start packing and prepare for their leave, making it clear that they weren’t going back to France, but running away again.

Leaving Jungkook was hard, but telling himself that it was the only way to keep him safe, Jimin placed one last kiss on Jungkook's lips and then sneaked out of the residence. He wasn’t surprised at all that Taehyung was already waiting for him, looking as perfect as when they arrived at the ball, which couldn’t be said the same about him.

Although he and Jungkook had cleaned themselves up with wet towels after the mind-blowing sex they’d had, Jimin’s hair was still a mess, his makeup was ruined and his clothes were in disarray. It would’ve normally bothered him, but not this time.

“Someone had an eventful night, huh?” Taehyung teased him, bumping their shoulders together as they started walking back to their car.

Most of the guests had already left last night, but there were some of them who had stayed the night just like them. Thankfully, it was quiet and empty outside, the atmosphere eerie with how gloomy and cold the weather was, but it didn’t bother Jimin as it was perfectly mirroring how he was feeling internally.

“You mean yourself? I had no idea you were into threesomes.”

“What can I say? I’m a man of opportunities,” Taehyung said, jumping straight into telling Jimin about his night and the two men he’d met—Hoseok and Seokjin—and how they both were vampires as well and what a great time they’d had together.

Jimin had no heart to remind him that he could never see them again.

New York

Now

It was already dark, but it didn’t bother him. Jimin was nocturnal, after all. His night vision allowed him to see everything clearly and his developed sense of hearing and smell provided him with an extra layer of protection, making him feel safe enough to be out at dusk alone.

At least that was usually the case, but tonight…

Jimin wasn’t really uncomfortable, but he had this weird feeling plaguing him, making him believe that he was being tailed. He’d spent enough time on the run to recognize all the signs and currently all his senses were screaming at him to remain careful. Which was why instead of going back to his apartment, he took a subtle detour, proceeding to move in a different direction and taking himself and his possible stalker away from his friends and their home.

But that seemed to have been a mistake.

The next thing he knew, as a sense of déjà vu washed over him, he was pulled into a side street between two buildings and was caged against the cold and dirty wall. Yet, despite all that, Jimin still felt safe.

His jacket was loosened by eager hands and before sharp teeth sunk into the soft skin on his neck, not only to drink his blood but to claim him as well, a familiar voice said, “Found you, hyung.”

Thank you so much for reading! 💜

(I might write part 2 from JKs POV one day... or turn it into a proper story? 🤔)
