The police got the call in the early hours of the morning, around 6am.
A man, dead in his home.
The victim's name was Mumbo K. Jumbo, and he was notorious for being the richest man in Hermitopia.
And for having one of the worst stalkers the police force had ever seen.
Mr. Jumbo was well aware of his stalker, but said that nothing would happen to him, and brushed it off.
Oh boy was he wrong.
He was found dead in the swimming pool of his mansion, and at first glance, he had appeared to have drowned without any outside help. But upon further inspection, it was clear that someone had purposefully murdered him.
The police had a good idea that it was his stalker, but they had no clue who that was, or what their motives would have been to stalk and kill him.
But they were determined to find them, and have them held accountable for their crimes.
For a while, they had no clue where to even start, but then they found something, a clue, on Mr. Jumbo’s corpse.
A nearly miniscule amount of blood, how it got there, still a mystery.
But it was a clue, and it led them to finding someone.
His name was Grian Dreamslayer, and he was undoubtedly the stalker of Mr. Jumbo.
When the police knocked on the door of his apartment, they were surprised to find it unlocked, but upon further inspection, they couldn't find Mr. Dreamslayer anywhere. They couldn’t find anyone at all, actually.
That is, anyone living.
They did find his sister, her dead body shoved in a kitchen cabinet, nearly mangled to the point where you couldn't recognize her.
Pearlescent “Pearl” Dreamslayer, her name was.
“I had no idea this happened,” said a friend of Ms. Dreamslayer, Scott Smajor. “She was Just fine the last time I saw her.” That happened to be the exact night Mr. Jumbo was murdered.
The police suspect a double homicide, in which Mr. Dreamslayer murdered Mr. Jumbo, then afterwards, Ms. Dreamslayer, his own sister.
The reasons for killing his sister are still unknown, but police suspect it was because she knew something about the murder that he didn't want her to know.
The police searched for Mr. Dreamslayer for quite a long time, before finally finding him.
Seven cities away, living by the name ‘Xelqua Moon.’ He was apprehended, and sentenced to life in prison.
The family and friends of Mr. Jumbo were notified as soon as possible, as well as the friends of Ms. Dreamslayer, as her and her brother's parents were killed years before, and they had no other family.
Although Mr. Dreamslayer was questioned thoroughly on why he would do all this, the detectives got no answer for any of their questions.
And even still to this day, they have no idea why Grian Dreamslayer did any of this.
