Chapter Text
It all started when the overnight trip had been confirmed.
Jugyeong had spent multiple days stressing beforehand about what she would do with her makeup, and by the time she had sort of made a shaky plan, her class was already gathered together in front of the bus.
Smiling absent-mindedly, she tried to filter out the chants and cheers of ‘ooh, Han Seojun and Lim Jugyeong are matching like a couple’ but it was just gnawing at her even more and more. Especially when Seojun was just smirking the whole time yet not denying anything. It didn’t bother her that much because she knew her class wasn’t ever serious about anything, but it felt unfamiliar to her. When she’d been considered as ugly in her old school, the only attention she’d get was when her bullies told her to get dumplings for them. That instantly ignited multiple horrible memories in her mind, so she instead tried to focus her mind on something else.
Trying to find something or someone else to distract her, her eye caught Suho’s who was already staring at her. The look in his eye was unreadable, and she couldn’t tell what he was thinking, but a shiver crawled up her spine. It reminded her of how he looked at everyone else when they’d accidentally smashed a cake onto her face, or when she was with Seojun in the elevator. He quickly looked somewhere else after he realised she was staring back, and Jugyeong looked back too, something warm yet cold fluttering in her stomach.
She looked to Sooah and Soojin to maybe talk to them, but they were both already talking to someone else. Fortunately, by then, Jugyeong was suddenly interrupted by her crowd of classmates rushing onto the bus, eager for the trip as they chatted about the things they would do. She followed them, hoping to sit next to Sooah or Soojin, but as she looked around the bus, she realised Sooah was already sitting with her boyfriend, and Soojin was right in front of her.
Until Suho offered to sit with Jugyeong and she paused, nervousness brooding around her. Luckily, Soojin offered to sit with him instead with a smile, and she made a note in her mind to thank Soojin later: she’d saved her around thirty minutes of potential awkwardness. It wasn’t like she didn’t like Suho’s company, but, recently, there had been a weird feeling coiling in her whenever he was around, and it kept bouncing back and forth with another different one. She refused to acknowledge what either of them were.
While walking down further down the bus, she felt someone staring at her back, and she turned her head back to glance at Suho. He had the same look in his eye as the one from before, but she had to continue walking before people would tell her to hurry up. Still, when she found a seat and sat down, she kept wondering why he had been staring at her so much recently.
Whatever. It was a school trip, and she wasn’t going to waste it thinking about Suho when she could be having fun. She was determined to - this was her first one where she knew she’d have people to pair up with or be in a group with and she’d been sleepless last night from the excitement. Because of that, she had to spend more time than usual covering her eye bags with makeup. Hopefully, she’d be able to get some rest now, but as soon as she laid her head on the window and closed her eyes, she felt someone sitting next to her.
Before panicking over the possibility that she would be considered rude if she didn’t talk with them, she took a deep breath and convinced herself it was fine. It was definitely fine. Many people were sleeping too, so it’d be fine if she slept too and didn’t talk with them. They’d understand, right?
So she took a quick glance to see who it was just before she’d take her nap, and it was Seojun of all people. He seemed to be proud as someone shouted something about them sitting down together like a couple. Jugyeong sighed, because why did someone always say something ridiculous whenever they were together or anything? And he always seemed to be laughing about it while she wanted to melt into a puddle. Being with him was pretty agonising too: somehow, he’d manage to use every opportunity possible to tease her.
At this rate, she wasn’t going to get any sleep and her eyebags would get worse, so she decided to take action with some hope that he’d listen to her.
“Ugh, why’d you have to sit next to me? There’s plenty of seats in the front and there’s just going to be more rumours now,” she complained as she rested her head on the window, shoulder lightly brushing his shoulder. When she reluctantly turned his head towards him, she saw him grinning even wider.
“I like sitting in the back. And, you know, I’m not the one complaining about the rumours,” Seojun snickered as he laid his head on the headrest and closed his eyes, “it’s only you. You never refute them either.”
Jugyeong gave up on her futile attempt to reason with him and hoped he wouldn’t bother her. To make sure and enforce it, she quickly said,
“Okay, well don’t interrupt me. I wanna sleep,” and rested her head on the window. Beside her, he didn't say anything but hummed in acknowledgement.
She tried to sleep too, vision already hazy as the bus began moving. But, even with the grasp of sleep hooking onto her, it didn’t fully get her and she’d been left with no energy. Like the dissatisfaction someone would feel tossing and turning in bed, but not falling asleep. She realised that after a few frustrating minutes of her head aching.
But she didn’t want to sit in painful silence, so after a while of debating in her head whether she should try and make conversation too, she decided she should forget about this fruitless attempt of sleeping. It was dumb to even think it would be possible in the first place with how much shouting and noise there was. Well, it could’ve been if she had brought headphones or something, but she hadn’t.
Somehow, she convinced herself to talk with the mindset of being on this trip to enjoy herself and have a rest from hours of pointless classes. The only con about this was that she was stuck with Seojun, but she overcame that problem with a deep inhale and exhale as she prepared herself.
Slowly, Jugyeong turned her head to Seojun, already bracing herself for whatever would happen only to see him already staring at her. It took her aback, and it clearly took him aback too because he cleared his throat and looked somewhere else. It was odd considering that he had always seemed so irritatingly confident with Jugyeong. She happily took this chance to tease him, managing to ignore the exhaustion that had been weighing her down. Moreover, she didn’t want it to be awkward and boring the whole ride. That was the reason that she’d hesitated to sit with Suho in the first place.
“Hey, how come you seem so nervous, Mr. Leopard print?” she giggled, and it was already satisfying enough to see the abashed embarrassment and shock on his face as he looked back at her with the most hilarious expression. Thank god , her mind chanted silently because she was able to resolve the awkwardness.
“I- I told you to forget about that. And I’m not nervous,” he muttered, popping a small candy into his mouth as he stared at Jugyeong, cheeks slightly flushed pink from embarrassment. He closed his eyes again. Jugyeong didn’t think much of it, but her eyes focused on the wrapper and her mouth salivated a little - don’t blame her, she’d been in too much of a hurry to leave the house this morning and had forgotten to eat any breakfast. And she had a sweet tooth.
After a few seconds of quiet, Seojun opened his eyes and looked at Jugyeong, confidence somehow already regained because he was smiling. “Didn’t you tell me a few minutes not to interrupt you because you were sleeping?”
“Well, I gave up. And you deal with it,” she snorted, quickly glancing at the wrapper again.
“Do you want one too?” he asked as if he knew that was the only thing she was focused on at the moment. Or maybe he was being considerate, but Jugyeong thought that was unlikely. She forgot to nod or indicate anything because she was too busy overthinking if he was poking fun at her, so Seojun spoke again.
“I can give you a strawberry one, since I know you like strawberry so much,” he offered, smug and proud as he held out one in his hand. Maybe that was the selling point because Jugyeong gratefully accepted it by snatching it from his hand. She popped it in her mouth before she caught a glimpse at Seojun only to see that he was looking at her if he was expecting something.
That was when she realised that she hadn’t said thanks or anything. She wondered if he would be mad at her for not acting grateful or something. She couldn’t help it - sweets were one of her weaknesses along with spicy things and she could never say no to food. And then she instantly panicked because oh my god she seemed selfish and rude and-
Actually, wait, no, it was Seojun she was talking about. He didn’t seem like that, but also at the same time, the amount of times he’d singled her out just to get his helmet back was insane.
But then, in the middle of her crisis, he just laughed and that instantly confused her, raising an eyebrow.
“Do you really like strawberry flavoured things that much?”
Well. That’s embarrassing yet also relieving that he wasn’t mocking her. Actually, she knew that this school wasn’t like her old one, so she wasn’t sure why she had just gotten so stressed at that moment. But that was pretty flustering anyways.
“Oh, uh, sorry. Thanks,” she apologised, but that seemed to not be the right thing to say because his smile turned into a straight line and his eyebrows furrowed from confusion. Huh? What was confusing about what she just said?
“Why are you sorry? I just thought it was funny,” he asked, but he noticed the nervousness that clouded Jugyeong, so in an attempt to relieve her of the anxiety or whatever, he laughed,
“Aw, are you shy, Jugyeong?”
And that clearly seemed to beat away the ‘random’ timidness that had possessed Jugyeong because she gave him the harshest side eye she could muster and scrunched her nose.
“Wow, I was just being kind and trying not to say anything rude,” she rolled her eyes despite the fact that she knew she was going to explode from anxiety a few moments ago. From the corner of her eye, she saw Seojun smile as his face softened but she was trying to annoy him, so she added an extra remark. “I was actually surprised that you remembered that with your small brain,” she snickered, and the glee on her face stretched further. Maybe it actually wasn’t that bad talking to him without everyone listening in.
And, to be honest, she was surprised that he remembered that. She’d only said it once when he offered her a different-flavoured drink. It was almost touching, and there was just a little something fluttering in her chest at the fact, but she just ignored it and mistook it as happiness. She’d often feel it around Seojun anyways, and sometimes Suho too.
“Says the one who got a lower mark than me in the test even though you bragged about knowing more than me that morning.”
She purposely tried to ignore it just so Seojun would get bored of teasing her and do something else, but he was apparently determined to annoy her because he leaned towards her and whispered loudly,
“You should’ve chosen three for every answer.”
She didn’t even care about the taunting because it was true and she really should’ve, but she didn’t want him to feel accomplished in his teasing so she constructed a quick, little plan in her mind. Out of pure pettiness, she didn’t give a verbal answer to satisfy him, and she sighed really loud as if she couldn't hear him. And then continued to bring her hand up to fix her hair so she could ‘unintentionally’ elbow him in the face.
Before she elbowed him though, he rolled his eyes and moved away, muttering something about being ‘no fun’ even though he was smiling.
With her mission accomplished, she indulged in the glory and relished the sweetness of the chewy sweet as it melted in her mouth. She’d have to ask him where he got it, but when she glanced out the window, she realised that the bus had stopped so they’d arrived already. Surprisingly, the journey had felt really short and her exhaustion from earlier had completely vanished. Huh.
The bus was rushing everyone to get off already, and so she hurriedly got up along with everyone else. There were cheers of how it was going to be so fun, and while she was excited too, she wanted to get out of this stuffy bus. Hurriedly, she reached out to grab her bag above her, but even on her tippy toes, she couldn’t reach it and people were shoving through the aisle. So she was just inches away from getting crushed by Seojun into the window.
Well, whatever. Her bag had probably moved further back while the bus was moving, so now she’d just have to wait until people weren’t shoving her back and then jump to get it.
Moments later, she learned that she didn’t have to wait because it had turned out Seojun had picked up her bag already. He handed it to her with a wink and a smug smile, and while it wasn’t exactly necessary, she appreciated it. What she didn’t appreciate though was everyone making ‘oooh’ sounds. She just kept her head down as she walked out of the bus.
The first breath of cold air was so refreshing compared to the stuffiness of the bus that she had tried her best to not pay attention to, and her headache was slowly fading away too.
Then, as she looked around the place where they’d be staying for their trip, she noticed Suho just kept staring at her from afar. As soon as she’d locked gazes with him, she looked away instantly but she could still feel his glare on her. It just made her feel uneasy and anxious with the amount of times she caught him staring at her despite how her cheeks would flush every time and her heart would pulse.
She gulped and began listening to what her teacher said.
-
The trip included a competition between groups of 4. Honestly, she was pretty excited as the instructor seemed pretty energetic too and she could just pair up with Soojin, Sooah and someone else.
When everyone had gone to group up for the competition, she had found one too but it didn’t end up working because there were five people in her group - Sooah and her boyfriend, Soojin and Suho, and her. Taehoon kept offering to leave, but Sooah wanted him to stay, so it only felt natural for Jugyeong to want to leave. After all, there were basically two couples and her.
There was an announcement asking if everyone was in a group, and she panicked because, everywhere else she looked, there wasn’t a group that needed one extra person. She prepared herself to take a shameful walk to the host and say that she was the only one left, but before she could, a warm hand had clasped her own cold one, and she was suddenly being dragged by someone strong to two other people. Obviously, just by hearing everyone else’s ‘ooh’, she could tell it was Seojun, because why would they be cheering unless it was them two together again?
How did it end up with them two together again? Whatever - at least she wasn’t stuck with nobody.
Her heart beat harder than usual for the few seconds he was holding onto her, but she only dismissed it as the embarrassment from everyone once again pairing them up together. Not to say that she wasn’t grateful for him getting her a group, because she was grateful. She could see Sooah give her a smirk and a wink when she glanced back at her, and Jugyeong didn’t even want to think about what she was thinking.
It really wasn’t like that between them even if the idea made her feel oddly lightheaded, yet everyone had just assumed they were a ‘perfect couple’ when he had said that he’d do whatever she told him to do. Why’d he even make that little declaration in the first place? Jugyeong sighed, shaking her head. She had made a promise to herself that she wasn’t going to spend this whole trip stressing over Suho, and now she was stressing over Seojun instead.
God, her mind never failed to stress her out regardless of the situation.
After Jugyeong finished with her mini ‘catastrophe’, the host announced that the competition was where they had to all fit on a single newspaper, and that it would get harder and harder until there was one group left. While it did seem hard, Jugyeong was determined to win - she had tasted victory in the bus with Seojun, and she wanted to keep the winning streak. Even if they were on the same team this time.
A part of her thought that she was being overly competitive for no reason, and that they were just teasing each other on the bus, but whatever. She just wanted to have as much fun as possible, and winning was fun.
Once the competition had started, her group (and all the others too) had to huddle together. It wasn’t that hard apart from having her head crushed between Seojun and another girl’s chest. And locking an awkward gaze between her and Seojun which made her heart skip a beat. She could smell the scent of cinnamon too, and that at least made the experience better. Though it didn’t affect her that much.
Somehow, the majority of the teams had been wiped out after that singular round - only Soojin’s and an all-boys team remained along with hers. Honestly, she felt pretty confident after that first ‘competition round’, and she thought it was going to be a breeze.
Well, she thought wrong because the host told them the next round was to fold the newspaper to a quarter of its size, and how the hell was that possible ? Jugyeong watched as the people in her team folded it, and maybe her urge to win wasn’t as strong as before. She rather preferred not to have to huddle further into the group - not because of the obvious reason, but because her makeup would probably smudge against their shirts. She grimaced at the memory of her face’s imprint being slapped onto Suho’s blazer.
If there was any solution, she thought that she should keep her hands covering her face, and her excuse could be that she wanted to take up as little space as possible. Yup. That’d work. Definitely.
That was her plan until there was suddenly a strong arm pushing the back of her knees and another one looping itself around her neck. The butterflies in her stomach were unreal as she got lifted into the air, head in the crook of someone’s neck that smelt oddly like cinnamon, comforting and nice like the last time she’d huddled into the group. Well, so much for her ‘plan’. As the wind rushed against Jugyeong’s face and swept her hair, she was almost grateful for this mystery person, because she didn’t know what she would’ve done with her makeshift plan otherwise.
As she hesitantly looked to her side to see the person despite already having an accurate guess on who it was, she heard piercing whistles and shocked cheers. It was Seojun, and, thank god , he wasn’t staring back at her because it would’ve been exactly like the awkward gaze they shared in the first round all over again.
It just looked like he was staring at someone else - almost in irritation - but the glare made that feeling in Jugyeong’s chest return, only this time stronger. The feeling felt overwhelmingly like nervousness, but also something unfamiliar that she’d only ever felt when she felt loved.
She could feel her cheeks turn pink at the mention of love in her mind, and, hopefully, nobody noticed it. Trying her best to ignore it, she followed Seojun’s gaze and it led to Suho who was being pulled back and resisting against it. The scene just explained itself - it looked like he wanted to punch someone (Jugyeong guessed that ‘someone’ was Seojun). That was odd. But he’d been acting odd for a while in general, so she just pursed her lips and looked at Seojun instead.
Burrowing further into Seojun’s hold of her (it was as comforting as a woolly jumper and she hadn’t been held recently, okay?) she watched as the other two people in her team held each other too and she glanced back at the other teams. The all-boys one was… concerning, to say the least as they gripped frantically onto each other, and the other team were basically just doing the same as hers. Suho was holding Soojin and Taehoon was holding Sooah. The sore sight kindled something red-hot inside her, and she didn’t know why.
As expected, the all-boys group fell apart, but the other team was going just as strong. Maybe, just maybe , Jugyeong believed they could win but, of course, they could keep going forever so the host began speaking again. To challenge them and determine a winner, the host told all the boys to lift a leg and, only by the slightest bit, Jugyeong wobbled in Seojun’s hold so she grasped onto his neck tighter, hopeful that it was enough for them to stay stable. She could see him smirking too, but that didn’t help the unsureness in her as she looked around.
She stretched her neck a little further to see her teammates behind Seojun, and the split-second when she saw them made her furrow her brows. The girl seemed to be scowling and her scrunched face was practically screaming in pain and disgust. Then she decided she had enough, because she was ripping her hands off him and kicking.
Unfortunately enough, the other two in Jugyeong’s group tumbled before the other team did, and they all came crashing down with screams. When she didn’t feel any pain from the impact, it surprised her until she realised it was because Seojun’s arms were still holding onto her, and he was crouching above her. For the shortest moment, they were both staring into each other’s dark eyes, swallowed into their voids, but Jugyeong shook her head and let go. For a second, Seojun seemed disappointed before he got back up, but that was probably just because they lost the game. Probably.
After getting up herself and wiping her clothes, Jugyeong watched as the other team celebrated - high fiving each other as they jumped and smiled, the rest of the class cheering for them too. But she didn’t feel sad over losing the game. Instead, she felt happy, and giggled - it was pretty fun just holding onto each other for dear life.
She ignored the other warm, fond reason why she enjoyed it and buried it deep down.
-
There was a group of multiple classmates huddled together, sitting down on the ground in a circle in the midst of the night, chuckling and giggling as they asked each other questions of Truth or dare . Clutching plastic hammers and watching as each other put their hands on a lie detector, they asked pointless, stupid questions.
Jugyeong was part of the said group, and she gripped her little plastic hammer, ready to attack somebody with it. She watched as people - her classmates and friends - asked each other random questions about things like embarrassing memories or dared someone to scream the most humiliating things. Sure, she was smiling the whole time and actively joked around with everyone, but her mind wasn’t really processing it. That was the case until she realised that Suho was asking Seojun truth or dare.
Maybe it was because they were enemies or whatever and Suho was planning to ask him the most sinister and horrific question in human history, but Jugyeong doubted that. Or maybe not, she wasn’t sure. She never knew what he was thinking nowadays, or ever.
“Who do you take me for? Obviously dare, I’m not scared like the rest of you,” he said, and held his glare at Suho, eyes narrowed. Of course, everyone in the circle suddenly went quiet - Jugyeong wasn’t sure if it was from the tension between those two, or if it was from them anticipating the question. It could’ve been a mix anyways.
Suho’s cold glare dissipated, and he instead replaced it with a soft smile even if it wasn’t fully there. “Sing a song.”
That took Jugyeong (and everyone else) by surprise if she was being honest. She was expecting something like ‘fight me’, not something sweet like that. Majority of the time, they were always staring each other down or purposely bumping each other’s shoulders. Even that one time, she remembered how Seojun had knocked Suho’s food out of his hand, and, in return, Suho had held him by his collar. It probably would’ve descended into a full-on brawl if the teacher hadn’t arrived because of their ‘hatred’ towards each other.
But she liked the idea of him singing and everyone else did too clearly, because they were all cheering and cooing. Nobody was complaining, and Jugyeong was thankful that Suho hadn’t said something completely outrageous.
“I can’t be bothered right now,” Seojun mumbled, trying to not look at anyone as he said that. Jugyeong saw the pained expression that flashed for a second on his face, and suspected something, but nobody else seemed to because they were all just booing and shouting that he was boring as they whacked him with their hammers. When Jugyeong glanced at Suho to see his reaction, she could see the confusion and sad disappointment. So it wasn’t just her who thought Seojun was off.
Maybe she could mention it to him later, but looking at the hints of loss on his face, she wondered if she should confront him about it. Not now though.
“Well, then, Mr. Bad boy,” someone started, mocking the ‘bad boy’ part and everyone quietened, “answer this question then. Since you didn’t do the dare.” Jugyeong’s classmates cheered, satisfied with that, and she watched Seojun’s frown turn into a smirk, willing to do whatever. It was like he had wiped away the mourning on his face like flicking a switch. Jugyeong wasn’t sure if that was good or bad, if it was fake, but he seemed happy so she brushed it off.
The person shushed everyone before they asked the question,
“Friendship or love?”
Everyone awaited his answer.
“Love,” he smirked as he stared directly into Jugyeong’s eyes.
And, right there , at that moment, there was something flipping happily in Jugyeong’s stomach. Like a little human doing backflips or cartwheels that pulled at the strings on her heart. She convinced herself she didn’t know why. An image of Suho popped up in her mind, and she guessed it was because of him. Or because of the word ‘love’, because she didn’t often talk about it or mention it in conversations.
Everyone thought his answer was too sappy though, so he was getting brutally attacked by multiple hammers by a mob of people. At first, Jugyeong wasn’t a part of those people, but she quickly fell out of her daze and joined.
After everyone had ‘beaten’ him up, the game continued normally and they kept asking each other questions. Jugyeong’s heart was still racing, but she took a deep breath and sighed. Soon enough, someone was asking Jugyeong a question, but she was too scared of the people surrounding her and what horrific thing they’d ask her to do if she answered dare. So she answered ‘truth’. But it was Sooah who was asking the question, so she wasn’t sure what else she expected when she was asked if she had a crush on anyone in this little group.
Sooah tried to pair her up with every person possible, and the first time with that blind date hadn’t gone well. At all. So Sooah resorted to finding someone in the class.
Glancing around at two certain people, Jugyeong was honestly unsure what she should answer. She thought it was impossible to get butterflies around two whole different people, but apparently it was and she had no idea what to do about it. And, because of her experience in her old school, she didn’t know how a crush felt.
The only idea of it that she had was built up from random romance shows she’d watched, and that stupid feeling when that one boy liked her music. But, now looking back at it, it probably wasn’t even a crush - most likely, she felt accepted and that was it.
This was different though. Now, maybe that lingering feeling of infatuation that rested in her stomach was a clue, so she answered ‘yes’.
The lie detector said it was true, and, immediately, the people were crowding around her and asking her who it was, but she didn’t even know the answer herself. When she’d said yes, the buzz of the lie detector had come as a surprise to her as well.
Her gaze just found its way to Suho, but he still looked indifferent. Or she just couldn’t tell and decipher his emotions.
Then Sooah leaned in to whisper in her ear,
“Is it Seojun? Tell me, tell me!”
Obviously, she quickly flapped her hands to get Sooah away, but she found herself looking at Seojun. Did she have a crush on him? Because, yeah, she (and a lot of girls in her school) did find him attractive with his clothes, his hands, his eyes, his jewellery, his hair… and, actually, everything about his appearance. But was that enough to be classified as a crush? People often didn’t have the best personalities despite their appearance.
Then she realised that reasoning still wasn’t valid, because she liked the way he acted too. Even if she didn’t show it to others.
Oddly enough, when she looked at him, he didn’t have that shit-eating smirk that he normally had but he looked unlike himself - exactly like the downcast impression he gave earlier. Almost as if he was dreading something yet also mourning the loss of something. Or regretting something. It made something in Jugyeong ache and burn.
Suddenly, he caught her eye, and, yet again, they were locking eyes again. This time, it felt like it lasted for a while, but instead of her stopping it, he stopped it as he looked somewhere else and smiled. But it didn’t really seem happy: it wasn’t the good one that made the skin around his eye crinkle.
When did she even notice how he smiled? Was she some sort of investigator?
Jugyeong tried to brush it off, and instead asked someone else another question. She just didn't really pay attention to it though because she wasn't interested anymore, eyes only focused on him . It wasn’t like she was interested in it beforehand anyways, but at least she’d been keeping track of everything earlier. The sinking feeling in her gut was almost too familiar - the one she often used to house in her old school, the one she had when her bullies had recorded her video
“What happened, Jugyeong? You seem so distracted - stop daydreaming already! We’re playing truth or dare!” Sooah asked, and Jugyeong could just tell that Sooah was trying to distract her and instead comfort her. She was grateful for it - really, she was - but she wasn’t in the mood anymore. Not exactly sure why, she just sighed because this was supposed to be fun and, instead, she was moping for whatever reason.
The thing was that she knew why she was suddenly feeling so gloomy, yet the problem was that she didn’t know why his mood was affecting hers so much. Maybe it could’ve been mixing with how much she was stressing over everything, but, either way, she didn’t appreciate it. Tired of feeling it, she decided to stand up and watched as everyone turned their head towards her.
“Sorry guys, I think I’m going to head back to our tent. I’ll talk to you later. Oh- and, guys, don’t worry! I just feel tired!” she apologised, and, hopefully, it was enough to satisfy them. She wasn’t lying either: it felt like all of her exhaustion and lack of energy from this morning on the bus had now decided to crash heavily into her. And that was ruining her mood.
Well, at least her excuse worked, or she believed it did because all of them shouted bye to her, and she slumped towards her tent. Barely, she could hear whispers and mumbles of ‘what happened to her’ but she didn’t care about them. Only sending a quick glance at them, she tried to catch a sneaky glimpse of Seojun, and he seemed even more sombre than before. The sight made the bad temper curl around her even more, and she groaned.
God, what the hell was wrong with her ?
She just felt like she was sinking further and further into something that she didn’t know about. Or maybe she did know it and her brain was choosing not to acknowledge it. Ugh, she didn’t know. She sighed yet again, opening her tent and sitting on her bed. Burying herself underneath her cosy blanket, she closed her eyes.
Maybe she just needed a nap.
