Yuta Okkotsu, Maki Zenin and the rest of the “Jujutsu Kaisen 0” cast gathered on Zoom on Saturday to celebrate the show’s 10th anniversary. They were supposed to meet in person but due to the current situation and busy schedule, they had a Zoom call instead.
The casts were happy to be able to talk to fans again. Satoru Gojo said the JJK0 group chat was still active, although it was mostly Toge Inumaki spamming about his game invitation. However, the group chat is much livelier during the preparation of this reunite event.
The zoom meeting that was also live-broadcasted on YouTube was supposed to be ended after Yuta said his gratitude toward fans who still love and support Jujutsu Kaisen 0 after all these years and the cast already waving goodbye.
The screen was already turned black and blank without the actors’ faces. But then, Yuta broke the silence. Fans who still streaming on YouTube were going crazy, especially the YTMK shippers.
“Maki, you still there?”
“Yes I am here, what is it Yuta?”
“I miss seeing you in person”
“You talk like we not seeing each other 2 weeks ago”
“That was just 15 minutes coffee talk before my departure to New York, I need more, If I can, I want to have the rest of your time for me”
“Here we go, Yuta the womanizer. So you're suggesting I enjoy a little romance? Well, I-”
“You do, Maki. I know you, you kn-”
“Wait a minute Yuta!” Maki interrupted Yuta before he finish his words.
A message came in Group Chat. that was from Panda.
I know you two still have a business to talk about, but hey you two are still on-air! It’s too late to stop the live broadcast but better late than never. Anyway, Good Luck, Yuta! And Maki, please be more honest about your feeling- Panda
Maki was so shocked, she didn't know it was still on air.
“Yuta, I’ll leave now, bye!”
Yuta was late to know what was happening, and immediately stop the broadcast. Surely, he will get in trouble, he checked his phone and he received many texts from his managers, reporters, and Maki. He called Maki (again).
Yuta Maki couple and JJK 0 broadcast were trending on Twitter that night.
The next day, during a media interview, Yuta admits publicly that he confessed to Maki.
“Ah, I’m sorry about last night's live broadcast. About Maki and I, that was not a gimmick for a new project like some media said. It was pure love. That was not just cheap talk and frankly, not the first time I asked Maki”
“I met Maki 10 years ago in JJK 0, and we continue as best friends. I have had feelings for Maki for some time but was not sure what to do about them. I tried to show Maki that I like her through action but she is clueless.” he continued
Realizing that he wants more than just a best friend to Maki, Yuta then decided to confess. He elaborated
“I want Maki to picture her life with me, I want her to continue to be present in my life. I might not have a chance anymore If I was too late. I had to confess my feelings to her.”
According to Yuta, Maki had only laughed in response then.
Maki has reportedly yet to officially respond to Yuta’s confession.
