Chapter Text
Soap and König were sitting on the floor, stickers were spread out around them as they decorated their rollerblades. Soap had convinced them to try out the new hobby and they had quickly gotten hooked. They finally had some time off so it would be spent enjoying each others presence.
Ghost was watching them from where he was sitting on the bed, his legs crossed. A small smile playing on his lips beneath the mask as he listened to them bickering about where to place which sticker. Ghost refused to take part opting to simply watch them, he wanted to keep his all black, he had insisted it would ‚fit his look better‘.
An idea sparked in Königs head as he looked through the different shapes and colours in front of him. He chuckled to himself as his plan manifested itself. After searching through the pile König had collected 2 matching stickers, one of the sun which he handed to Soap and a moon one for Ghost. He got up placing the sticker in Ghosts open palm as he sat down next to him.
Suddenly König turned oddly emotional, he had never believed he would be able to love like this and be loved back. He had thought a lot about them and their relationship, late at night when he couldn’t sleep. Whenever his mind was being too loud and he needed comfort. He pulled off his mask folding it as best as he could, it felt wrong to him to speak the next words wearing it.
„You know you’re my sun and my moon as different as they’re beautiful, both bringing light to my darkness.“ he mumbled as he hid his head in the crook of Simons neck. Soap was simply staring at him from the floor until he exchanged a questioning look with Ghost.
To state that his partners were speechless would be an understatement. He had taken them by surprise. It was clear the Austrian had thought about this before, his words were chosen carefully, calculated as if he had pondered hours to find the right ones.
But König wasn’t lying, Soap was the sun, filling their lifes with warmth, somehow his presence brought life to his surroundings. His existence like the sun rays beaming with joy and happiness. He encompassed his lovers with his golden arms, his warmth a gift for them, a thankful gesture for opening themselves up to him, for letting him in. His light highlighted their flaws, not in a way that would make them feel ashamed, moreover it made them embrace them. Soap made them feel seen.
Simon was the moon, bathing in the light of the sun, reflecting it. Soap had shown him love and Ghost had absorbed it, had been changed by it, now almost glowing on his own. His love a reflection of the light Soap had granted him. He lit up the darkest of nights, his soft gleam a steady reminder of his presence. It wasn’t that Ghost couldn’t exist without the sun and the stars, their presence was simply amplifying his own.
His craters, markings of past wounds, distorted and deformed him, some reaching deeper than others. They never stopped his partners from loving him, in fact they admired him. Ghost had fought many battles and had survived, his scars were a sign of strength to them.
Some might think of the moon as lonely, all by his own in the night sky, Simon had felt loneliness for most of his life until he had realised the sun and the stars were closer than he had thought.
„Well then you’re the stars, luv. Warding off the last of dullness and completing our universe.“ Ghost answered after a while, his masked lips pressing a kiss to Königs temple. Simon was no poet, in fact it was König who loved to write sometimes, scribbling his thoughts down in a worn notebook he kept in his pocket. Some he showed to the others, some were kept to himself.
„Zeems like my lyrical power is rubbing off on you, hm Simon?“ the Austrian giggled sarcasm lacing his voice. But as he grinned at Simon his smile shone like a star.
Every smile König granted them was like a beacon of hope. The freckles littered across his face solar yellow, spreading above his cheeks like the constellations across the sky. He was ever-present even when clouds loomed interfering one’s view. König seemed distant at times, lost in his own mind, but just as the shimmering stars he was always nearby.
Johnny had gotten up, a small sticker of a star in his hand, he offered it to König with a smile. Instead of taking it the Austrian pulled him in for a hug. Königs scent of freshly cut herbs enveloped him, almost making him feel dizzy as Soap hid his head in the crook of his neck.
König beckoned for Ghost to join them, the look in his eyes soft, almost pleading.
Simon proceeded to lay down extending his arm as to invite them in. They didn’t think twice, Soap getting comfortable against Ghosts side as König hugged the scot from behind. Johnny let out a sigh, a content smile spreading on his face as the austrian placed various little kisses on his neck.
As König lifted his head his gaze locked with Ghosts, who had been watching them silently a light blush on his cheeks, the Brit felt like he was intruding their sweet little moment. König knew how the other was feeling, he could tell by the way he was unconsciously flexing his left hand, balling it into a fist repeatedly, a nervous habit.
„Simon?“ König spoke, his voice soft as to not disrupt the peaceful mood. Ghost hummed a reply, he would never get used to the way he would pronounce his name, using the German rather than the English version.
„Can I kizz u?“ he asked as he pushed himself up on his elbow, careful not to put any of his weight on the Scot sandwiched between them. Ghost simply nodded as he pushed up his mask closing the distance between them. The kiss was soft and short, Simons eyes fluttered close. Ghost felt warmth spread from his chest, creeping up his neck and tinting his cheeks red. He wished for the moment to last forever but König pulled away. He didn’t miss the chance to place a peck on the tip of Simons nose though which caused a shy smile to spread on the others face.
Ghost pulled off his mask fully, the fabric had started to bother him and they had seen him without it anyways. He ran his hand through his light blonde hair in an attempt to untangle it. Soap had stared at him and let out a small gasp, he had seen him countless times without it but still he was amazed by his beauty every time.
„’m such a lucky man… got not only one but two of the prettiest men.“ he mumbled, clearly a bit drowsy from the warmth and comfort provided by his partners. König giggled as he tightened his grip on Soaps waist. Ghost simply pulled them both closer a small smile playing on his lips.
It was as if the stars aligned perfectly, the sun smiling at their lovers and the moon finally feeling content. As if all those years of being alone, barely holding on, had payed off. Simon would do it all again, live through every hopeless day, every ounce of sadness to spend just one moment in their arms. Relishing in their touches and admiration, something he had thought he didn’t deserve until he met them, until they changed him.
Oh how the thought of loosing them scared König, it kept him up at night, his mind running endless circles as he cried. Their line of work wasn’t made for people to last, to grow old together. Hell it was a miracle they even got this far, had found the love they had been denied for most of their lives. Had found each other. What if it was taken from him, from them again? Wouldn’t the sky look empty without the sun? Wouldn’t the moon be robbed of it’s glow without it? And what if the Moon disappeared, who would the sun beam at but darkness?
But for now they were laying in each others arms, their universe was whole.
