Chapter Text
"I don't want a lot for Christmas, there is just one thing I need, I don't care about the presents, underneath the Christmas tree. I just want you for my own, more than you could ever know, make my wish come true, all I want for Christmas is you, yeah," Tony sang softly, stroking his fiancee's cheek.
Loki's eyes fluttered open before landing on Tony. A smile automatically painted her face before she was leaning up and kissing him softly. Tony smiled into the kiss, cupping her cheek. When they pulled apart, Loki rubbed her nose against Tony's, peppering him with Eskimo kisses. They both started laughing. Tony gave her one more small kiss before laying his head down next to her on the pillow. Loki rolled over so she could stare into his gentle brown eyes.
"Good morning, my darling Anthony," she greeted. Tony started smiling. He loved hearing his full name roll off her tongue. Add in a just-waking up Loki with her soft morning kisses and Tony might as well explode. Gods of Asgard, he loved this one particular god so much he wondered what he'd ever do without her now.
"Good morning, Lokes," he greeted back with a content sigh. Her smile grew as she reached out and ran her fingers through Tony's tangled but velvety brown hair, attempting to brush it out. "Have I ever mentioned how much I love you?"
She giggled quietly. "Yes, my sweet Anthony. Every morning."
"Well it's true!" he defended. Loki rolled her eyes. "I love you with all my heart." The glow from his arc reactor grew brighter. "And arc reactor," he added with a smirk. Loki rolled her eyes again and snorted. Tony leaned closer to her, nudging her lightly with his nose. She glanced to him, eyebrow raised. "I love you," he repeated. Loki smiled and patted his cheek.
"I love you too."
Tony smiled warmly and kissed her forehead. "I would hope so. You are marrying me after all."
Loki giggled as she brought her hand up from underneath the covers to in front of her face. A simple blue diamond on a solid gold band sat on her finger. Occasionally it would catch the minimal amount of sunlight coming in from the windows and sparkle. She bit her lip to keep from squealing as she looked back to Tony. He watched her admire her ring with a dopey smile on his face.
"I know!" she cheered. "I'm the luckiest god in the world."
Tony chuckled before kissing her nose. "No, no. You're making me the luckiest man in the world."
Loki glanced over at him, her hand slowly retreating to her chest. A bright smile made its way onto her face causing Tony to smile as well. He couldn't help it. Loki's smiles are contagious. Not just to Tony but to anyone who catches the god smiling.
Tony cupped her cheek and gave her one last kiss before throwing the covers off him and getting out of bed. Loki watched as Tony made his way over to the closet. She snapped her fingers before he opened the doors. With a soft sigh, Tony looked down to find the nearly skin-tight long-sleeved red shirt and a pair of jeans instead of his plaid pajama pants. He turned to Loki (now wearing a loose fitting green tank top with her signature black leather jacket over) and smiled.
"Will you ever let me change on my own again?" he asked. Loki hummed to herself before shrugging. Tony just shook his head as he made his way back over to the bed. "I'm a grown adult, Lokes. I can dress myself," he told her, pressing his knee onto the bed. She shrugged again.
"Yes, yes. But this is so much easier."
Tony rolled his eyes before offering his hand to Loki. She glanced to it, raising an eyebrow. Tony smirked. "Do you trust me?"
Faster than he could say 'diamond in the rough', Loki grabbed the pillow out from under her and smacked Tony with it. He started laughing and made for his own pillow but Loki shoved it off the bed before whacking him again. Tony gasped and glared at her. She smiled innocently up at him.
"You, my fair lady, are a bitch."
Loki fluttered her eyelashes and shrugged. "That I am, my good sir. That I am." The two stared at each other for a moment before laughing. Tony offered his hand once again which Loki graciously accepted. He pulled her out of bed and the two left the room hand in hand.

Natasha and Wanda sat on the couch curled up together with a blanket wrapped around them. Wanda had a cup of hot cocoa in her hands, warming them up. Natasha would occasionally press kisses onto the top of Wanda's head. One of the many Harry Potter movies played on the television in front of them but neither were really paying attention. They were too wrapped up in their own world to pay attention to J. K. Rowling's made up one.
Steve and Bucky also sat on the couch similar to how the woman were sitting. With Bucky engulfed protectively in Steve's arms, it didn't give Steve much room to hold his cup of coffee. So Bucky--being the little shit that he is--elected himself as the one to hold (and drink) the coffee. When Steve caught Bucky stealing sips of it, he would roll his eyes as if offended but then kiss Bucky's cheek, letting him go scot-free.
Thor and Sam were sat on the two armchairs, neither one with blankets. Sam was scrolling through his phone, not really paying any attention to his teammates in the room. Thor's eyes, however, were glued to the television like if he were to blink he'd miss Ron and Hermione's big fight towards the end of the Yule Ball. He seemed to be the only one truly paying attention to the Harry Potter movie Natasha had put on over an hour ago.
As for Bruce, Peter, and Clint, they were all scattered about. Bruce had left for the lab after finishing his breakfast. Being on the verge of a scientific breakthrough, Bruce thought it best that he went to continue his work as soon as possible. Clint left for his and Pietro's farmhouse the week leading up to Thanksgiving and hasn't come back yet (which Natasha, Steve, and Sam were speculating he wouldn't until sometime in January after the holiday season). Peter sat at the dining table, shoveling pancakes into his mouth. At this point, Peter probably had eaten somewhere in the mid to late teens.
When Loki and Tony walked out of the elevator, they first walked over to the living room to see what everyone else was doing. Finding them cuddled up together and 'watching' a movie, Tony left to get breakfast. Loki made her way over to Thor and kissed his cheek before following after Tony. Thor smiled and raised his hand in a form of a wave. Both with plates filled with pancakes, they entered the dining room and sat across from Peter.
"Mor'i'g Dad, mor'ig Mom," Peter greeted with a mouthful of pancakes. Tony rolled his eyes.
"Kiddo, how many times have I told you not to talk with your mouth full?"
Peter quickly finished chewing what was in his mouth and swallowed before continuing. "Sorry," he apologized, "but Wanda's pancakes are so good!" Tony and Loki exchanged a look--the signature parent look with raised eyebrows. "See!" He held out his plate towards his parents. "They have little gummy bears in them!" Tony's eyebrow raised higher.
"Wanda, honey?" he called. Wanda glanced up and hummed, alerting Tony she's paying attention to him. "What kind of gummy bears did you put in the pancakes?"
"The Haribo ones Bucky bought at the store the other day," she responded, motioning to the cabinets in the kitchen. "Why?"
"Oh no reason." Shrugging, Wanda leaned back into Natasha's chest at the same time Tony turned back to Peter. "So you appreciate the pancakes. That's great." Peter nodded enthusiastically, shoveling more pancakes into his mouth. Tony rolled his eyes and shook his head whereas Loki sat up to lean over the table, grabbed her napkin, and dabbed the corner of Peter's mouth with it to wipe off the maple syrup sticking there. "Jeez, Kid, you're making a mess of yourself."
"Oh leave him alone, Anthony," Loki remarked, swatting at his chest with her hand holding the napkin. "Our darling Peter is doing wonderfully." Tony raised an eyebrow at her before nodding and cutting into his pancakes. Loki rolled her eyes before doing the same thing as well.
"So what're we doing today, Dad?"
Tony glanced up at Peter. "Well, Kid, I was planning on taking Loki with me to get the old Christmas decorations out of storage." Peter peered up at his father as he carefully set his fork down. "From the looks of it, everyone else is gonna sit around and watch Harry Potter all day. It's up to you on what you do."
"Can I come with you guys?" Peter whispered. Loki glanced between Peter and Tony, slowly bringing her fork to her mouth and eating the pancake bite. "I've got nothing else to do today. I'm all caught up with homework."
Tony looked to Loki, an eyebrow raised. She shrugged before taking a sip of her water. "There's no reason why he can't," she supplied. "We could do with the extra muscle. Remember last Christmas?" Tony scrunched his nose and shook his head.
"I don't ever want to remember last Christmas." Both remain quiet for a moment before shuddering. Peter allowed a small smile to slip through. "Yes, Pete. You can come to storage with us. Might find somethings that once belonged to your grandfather."
"Oh yeah! I guess that makes Howard Stark my grandfather," he remarked. Tony laughed softly and nodded. "Huh. Guess I never thought of it that way."
"Well now you have."
Gesturing to Peter's plate with her fork, Loki said, "If you want to help us you'll have to finish your breakfast and get changed." Peter smiled brightly before shoveling the remaining pancakes into his mouth and rushing over to the elevator. Loki laughed lightly and shook her head. Tony closed his eyes and sighed. "He's yours," Loki whispered.
"I know." Tony opened his eyes and smiled. "I love him."
Loki smiled brightly before kissing his nose. "I love him too." Tony glanced to Loki and--goddammit!--started smiling. "As I love you." He raised an eyebrow. She shrugged. "Well, not quite the same but you get it." He nodded. She kissed his nose again before grabbing his now empty plate and placed it on top of hers as she stood up and made her way to the sink. Tony watched her go with a soft, love struck smile.
There were so many things Tony loved about his mischief goddess. He loved the way Loki's hips seemed to sway when she walked as if she were a cat stalking her pray. He loved the way she'd pull her bottom lip between her teeth when she was thinking. How--regardless of gender--she always smelt of vanilla, leather, and lilac. How once you get to know her, she truly is a soft and caring person; it was her 'father's' so called 'parenting' that turned her bitter and resentful. Her British accent and contagious smiles, her whimsical laughter, her hunger for physical contact whether it be hand holding or the good stuff, her love of reading and cuddles. So many things made Tony's heart swell just thinking about her.
Reentering the room, Loki was greeted by Tony's soft eyes and his dopey smile. She raised an eyebrow as she reached for her water glass, her lips pressed together. "What?" she asked when his gaze never left her.
"Marry me."
She started giggling. "I believe I already answered that question," she remarked, showing him her ring. He laughed and rolled his eyes.
"Not what I meant."
"Then what did you mean, my darling?" she asked with a roll of her eyes, her hands resting on her hips. He bit his lip.
"I mean, I don't want a huge wedding where we send out billions of invites months in advance." Loki's eyebrow went higher. Tony stood up and grabbed her hands. "I want to get married. Right now." She started laughing. Tony shook his head. "Okay, not right now right now but you get what I'm trying to say."
"No. I don't."
Tony rolled his head, groaning slightly. "Lokes, I don't want the long wait of just setting up the damn thing! I want to wake up and be married to you tomorrow." Loki snorted. Tony cupped her cheek, brushing his thumb along the bone. "The people we'd invite are sitting in the next room. Plus Happy, Rhodey, Pepper, Clint, Pietro, and your mother. Maybe Fury." She nodded slightly. "So pick a day, get a dress, and we just invite everyone somewhere nice and get married. I think Cap or Barnes can marry us." She started giggling again and nodded.
"Okay."
"Okay?"
"Okay," she repeated, giggling it out. "Yes. We can get married this month." The elevator dinged and Peter ran over to his parents. Loki glanced between the boy who was now tugging on her arm with a bright smile and Tony. "We'll talk about this later. Right now we have decorations to worry about." He nodded and left to grab his keys.
Loki and Peter left for the elevator, passing the rest of the team in the living room. No one had changed position from the last time Loki saw them (which was barely even twenty minutes ago). With a soft smile, she faced the elevator again before--now joined by Tony--they entered, taking it down to the garage. Tony unlocked the car and they all slid into their respective seats before Tony started the car and they left Stark Towers.
~~~
The storage facility they pulled up to was old. Of course it is--it once belonged to Howard Stark (who--if still alive--would be as old as Captain America). Without so much as a 'hello' from either part, Tony was handed the keys and with a slightly aggressive tug on Loki's wrist, the three left for the Stark storage unit. It wasn't like Tony hated coming here, it was just Tony hated coming here. All his father's old junk was stored in here--projects he spent more time working on than he spent with his own son. Thinking about how he grew up makes Tony wish he had Peter from the start.
Loki was the first inside the unit followed by Peter then by Tony who was holding the door open. Peter glanced around the unit before scrunching his nose. "It's kinda cluttered in here," he whispered, leaning closer to Loki. She nodded.
"It was Hel trying to find everything last year," she remarked before shuddering again.
Tony exhaled deeply before rubbing his hands together. "Alright. Let's gather this shit up." Peter and Loki started laughing which caused Tony to start laughing as well. "Okay, Pete; you take left. Loki right. And I got middle. Start looking through all the boxes because I can never remember what's in what."
And so they did. They all chose a container to start out with. Peter's held Captain America memorabilia including shield prototypes Howard never finished before Steve froze. He sifted through some of the stuff, finding it interesting. Loki's had past projects of both Howard and Tony: some old arc reactor models, things for past Stark Expos, etc. She closed the container and pushed it to the side. Tony's container was filled with Christmas lights. With a cheerful cry, he moved the container closer to the door.
After the initial container, everyone started working at their own pace. Some boxes were smaller and easier to sift through; others not so much. Loki was elbow deep in her fifth box when Peter exclaimed, "Jeez! Grandpa certainly had a lot of Captain America stuff."
"Oh yeah," Tony agreed, "your grandfather loved Steve more than his own son." Loki looked up from her box with a small smile. Peter took a second longer to glance up. Tony just shook his head. "Let's not get into that right now. Not when we're all elbow deep in his old shit." So everyone returned to their boxes.
"Why don't you just put all of the Christmas stuff in the attic?" Peter asked a few moments later.
"Because we don't have an attic, Kid. You ever see a New York City building with an attic?"
Peter shrugged. "No, I guess not." He nudged a few things around. "So why don't we move?" Tony turned to him with a raised eyebrow. "You know, to a house with an attic." Loki peered up, suddenly intrigued. Tony hummed in thought. "This way you don't have to sift through all of Grandpa's old stuff."
"And you'd know where everything is," Loki added. Tony glanced to her.
"You in agreement on this?"
She shrugged. "It could be nice," she admitted quietly, picking fuzz off a stocking she found. "Maybe a cabin in the woods? All to ourselves. You could retire, we could settle down and start a family." Tony smiled softly. Loki pulled her lip between her teeth. "Just the three of us with room to grow?" She looked down with a knowing smile.
"Yeah!" Peter cheered. "Like what Mister Barton and Mister Maximoff have! C'mon, Dad, what do ya say? Can we do that?"
Tony glanced between the two. The offer did sound wonderful. No more running around in a metal suit, no more worrying about never returning to his family--of course he'd have to worry about Peter making it home but he could live with that. And a family with Loki? Yes please!
"Alright," he stated. Peter and Loki's eyes widened with excitement. "Alright. We can do that."
"Before or after Christmas?" Peter asked. Loki laughed.
"Oh honey, definitely after Christmas. We'd have to first look for houses and tell the team we're moving. Plus your father would like to get married this month so we'd have to prepare everything for that. And Christmas! We have Christmas to worry about!" Peter pouted but nodded. "But I promise you, January first we'll start looking for houses." He smiled and went back to searching for Christmas decorations. Tony and Loki exchanged a loving smile before going back to work.
Later, when everything was found and brought into the car, the Stark family of three left for home (maybe or maybe not after stopping for lunch). When they reentered the tower, they found Thor and Sam 'wizard dueling' in the middle of the living room. Natasha and Wanda were still curled up on the couch, probably sleeping. Steve and Bucky were nowhere to be found; probably up in their room. However, Bruce was back upstairs, eyes transfixed on the two grown men waving their arms around.
Tony took one good look of everything before he proceeded to drop the box he was carrying (it only had everyone's stockings), spun around, and hightailed it back to the elevator.
"We are definitely moving after Christmas!"
