The phone rang once, then again, and finally a third time. Taehyung stirred, and Jimin let out a dissatisfied sigh, holding him tighter in his arms.
"Is it time to get up already?" he grumbled. His heavy eyes refused to open. "What time is it?"
"Almost six," Taehyung replied softly in a low voice. "You can snooze a little longer."
Jimin rubbed his cheek against Taehyung's shoulder, where he lay, and sighed again. His body felt heavy too, and he didn't want to move.
A click of an unlocked screen sounded—Taehyung must have started scrolling through his phone. The bedroom was dark and quiet, with the only sounds Jimin could hear being their breathing and the clicks.
"Why aren't you sleeping?" he asked. "It's early."
"It's too hot. You've clung to me like an octopus. Octopus blanket."
"Sorry." Jimin shifted, trying to roll away, but Taehyung held him with his free hand.
"Don't you dare. I love octopuses."
Jimin smiled and kissed him between the collarbones. Maybe Taehyung was feeling hot, but Jimin felt incredibly comfortable. His head rested on Taehyung's shoulder, his arm wrapped around his waist, and his leg draped over his thigh. With Taehyung's deep breathing, his chest rose and fell slowly, and that rhythm lulled Jimin. Occasionally, Taehyung would run his fingers through his hair, making Jimin want to purr.
Taehyung chuckled quietly to himself and Jimin asked, "What's so funny?"
"ARMY think we've had a fight because they don't see us interacting. At this rate, 'vmindivorced' will soon be trending," Taehyung replied.
"Our ARMY like to dramatize things," Jimin murmured. "Do you want to do a live stream or post a photo?"
"Maybe later. ARMY miss us, but I don't want to share you with anyone," Taehyung said.
Jimin kissed him on the neck and covered his eyes again. He didn't want to share these rare moments of being alone together too, cause since their solo stages began, they barely had any time for each other.
"Well, then write something to them," Jimin suggested. "Like, tell them about the dream you had."
“You had, not me," Taehyung corrected. "I'm using your phone."
“Whatever," Jimin smiled. "Just let the dream be normal."
“‘Course.“
Jimin must have fallen asleep after all because he was brought back to consciousness by gentle kisses that Taehyung showered on his face.
“It's almost 7:30," Taehyung informed when Jimin finally opened his eyes. The room had significantly brightened. "Good morning."
Jimin stretched with a yawn, hugged Taehyung around the neck, and froze. Maybe if he pretended he hadn't heard anything, time would stand still?
“It would be much better if I didn't have anywhere to go," Jimin grumbled.
“I'll come to you in the evening," Taehyung promised.
“I'll be recording until late tonight," Jimin said.
“Then I'll come late at night," Taehyung smiled, tucking a strand of hair behind Jimin's ear. "Okay?"
“Okay," Jimin replied.
After a quick shower, a quick breakfast, and not-so-quick kisses in the corridor, Jimin finally called for a car and headed to the studio. There were a bunch of messages on Weverse, and only now he could see what Taehyung had written from his account. He laughed when he read: "I fell asleep, and I dreamt that I was filming a music video and went to eat with Jin-hyung and Yoongi-hyung." Well, it could have been worse. Taehyung responded to a few comments from ARMY still using Jimin's account, but then he probably got tired of it. Because the post where an Army wished Jimin a good morning, Taehyung commented from his own account. "Good morning."
Jimin shook his head. Not a photo, but still not bad. Armies are smart and quickly put two and two together – rumors were already spreading on Twitter that they were clearly together during the conversation.
“And no more ‘vmindivorced’," Jimin muttered and set his phone aside.
He couldn't wait for the evening to come.
