Work Text:

Craigs eyes cracked open, slowly allowing himself to wake up and take in his surroundings and allowing his thoughts to start up again. He yawned quietly, he was going to bring a hand to cover his mouth, but it was being held in-between Tweeks arms, so he used the other hand that laid freely over his stomach instead.

The noirette turned his head to see Tweek fast asleep, his mouth slightly open and you could hear very light snoring coming from him as he drooled onto his pillow. His cheek pressed against the pillow while he laid on his chest. One hand was draped on the edge of the bed, hanging there completely vulnerable to the cool air that circled their room. The other arm had Craigs hand trapped in-between it and his chest.

Craig smiled, turning his body from his back to his side, not moving the hand that Tweek held tightly, despite being completely knocked out. Anyone else would complain about the sight, seeing Tweek sleeping while you woke up was not a pretty sight. Craig couldn’t agree though, he wasn’t just anyone else, he wasn’t just Tweeks boyfriend, he was his fiancé.

Fiancé.

Craig would never get tired of saying that. Not until he could call him his husband, at least.

He brought his hand up to brush Tweeks long hair out of his mouth and away from his face to get a clearer view of the blond. There was no doubt that Craig was in love, no doubt that this was how he wanted to spend the rest of his life. He knew it didn’t matter how long he had left to live, he knew it didn’t matter what their living conditions were, as long as he got to see Tweek and hold him everyday, he’d be content.

Tweek didn’t like when Craig said things like that. It scared him, made him think Craig was about to die and was just making the most of his short life span and lied to Tweek as to not worry him. That was far from the truth, though. It took a while for Craig to convince Tweek that he wasn’t going to die anytime soon but it worked. He blamed Tweeks worries on a book the blond had read where the two main characters fell in love in one day and die that same day.

Tweek cried himself to sleep thinking about the horrible fate of two fictional men for a week. Craig tried his best to be understanding, he considered reading the book but decided against it, just in case it really was that sad and he started crying too.

Craig heard light constant repeated tapping against his window, it sounded like rain, he couldn’t tell though because the blinds and curtains were closed. The dim light shining from the edges was enough to hint Craig that his assumption was right. The room was dark, anyone would assume that it was still around 6am but when Craig sat up to look at the alarm clock in their room, it was 10am.

Craig wasn’t one to sleep late, he often woke up at 7-8am due to his job making him wake up so early but Tweek was a different situation. Boy did that man sleep, it surprised Craig at first, how much Tweek could sleep without waking up once but then again, he probably had countless restless nights as a child. Tweek was doing better, and Craig was happy, they were both happy.

The rain slowly got harder and that’s when Craig began to get concerned, he hoped a thunderstorm wasn’t working up, mainly because he couldn’t stand loud noises but also because he didn’t want the storm to wake Tweek up. That was rare though, Tweek could sleep through everything.

He saw Tweeks eyes crack open and his mouth close as he licked his lips. Tweek squinted at Craig, closing his eyes for a while before letting go of Craigs arm to bring himself up with his own arms so he could sit up. It looked like Tweek had a hundred pounds strapped onto his back with the way he lifted himself, Craig let out a short laugh.

Tweek sat on his legs with his body facing the headboard of the bed. He wiped the trail of drool off the side of his mouth with his wrist before rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. “Good morning.” Craig greeted, bringing his hand that was in Tweeks grasp under his head. His free hand laid on Tweeks leg, rubbing soothingly from his thigh to his knee.

Tweek looked over at the alarm and frowned. “It’s early.” He commented, not bothering to return Craigs loving greeting. “It’s 10 in the morning.” Craig replied, his soft smile never leaving his face. “Exactly, early!” Tweek huffed, he turned his pillow around and then let himself fall back down onto the bed. He had his face buried into the pillow but lifted it and turned it to face Craig, knowing he wouldn’t be able to breathe if he kept his head inside the pillow.

He was met with Craigs eyes, affectionately staring at his own; Tweeks cheeks turned a light pink. He melted into the sensation of Craigs hand caressing his face gently, a chill went down his spine and Tweeks furrowed eyebrows relaxed, and he let out a content sigh.

“Is it raining?” Tweek asked, noticing the sound of raindrops tapping against their window. Craig nodded in reply, leaning in and pecking Tweeks lips quickly. Tweek giggled but then soon, his mood shifted, and his eyebrows furrowed and his eyes were prepared to gloss. Craigs eyes widened in surprise and genuinely caught off guard with the mood change.

“Babe?” Craig asked, his eyes full of worry. “Ngh—Are you dying?” Tweek asked, his lip quivering as he gripped tightly onto Craigs sleeve. Craig sighed, he couldn’t hold back the laugh that escaped his lips, causing Tweek to look offended.

“I’m not dying, Tweek. I told you, I’m not dying any time soon.” Craig reassured, he removed Tweeks hand from his sleeve and then held it in his with the palm facing away so he can plant small kisses on his pale skin. The sad look on Tweeks face faded into relief. Craig knew that he’d have to go the doctors to prove to Tweek that he was okay but he didn’t mind, no one has ever shown as much care for him than Tweek has.

“Let’s sleep, just a little more?” Tweek pleaded, moving closer to Craig as he wraps his arms around him. Craigs face buried into Tweeks chest as his hands were wrapped around his waist. “Whatever you want, honey.” Craig closed his eyes, breathing in the sent of Tweek.

He could never get enough of this boy.
