It was a splash that drew in Kojiro’s attention and caused him to look out of his window and towards the pool on the roof of the next building over. It was a gorgeous and ethereal cascade of pink hair that kept it.
The man was built like an Adonis, like a Greek god's perfectly carved body illuminated by the moonlight so that he looked like something out of a dream. In fact, so many of Kojiro’s dreams went exactly like this. It wasn’t the first time he’s seen the stunning man bathing across the way. Everytime Kojiro saw him, his body reacted like he was going up in flames—a warmth that he couldn’t control regardless of how much he tried.
Kojiro has talked to him before, but he was never very kind. He knew that he was better than Kojiro in every possible way, he knew that they had no business talking, and Kojiro would simply be a servant to him and bring him food every night, never even saying a word if that’s what the man wanted. That’s how badly every part of his body yearned for him.
So, Kojiro watched him, eyes sparkling like the stars in the sky, as that lust started to fill his body again.
He shouldn’t want him. He couldn’t want him. How could someone like Kojiro ever have the right to be with someone as gorgeous as the lovely pink-haired man in the pool? The man was right to be rude, to put himself on a pedestal above others.
Maybe it was something in the air tonight, but Kojiro wasn’t entirely sure that he could take it, couldn’t take the desire filling every inch of his body. He needed something to calm himself, something to put out the fire that ignited inside of him every time. But regardless of how much water, literally and metaphorically, that Kojiro tried to use to snuff the flame, nothing worked. Kojiro continued to gaze out his window at him, when suddenly, the man lifted his head and locked eyes with him.
Shit.
It was too late now to break eye contact. The pink-haired man had seen him staring at him. He wasn’t about to look away as if he hadn’t been staring, as if he didn’t want this man more than anything in the world right now.
From the rooftops, the man’s stern and chiseled face slowly morphed into a smirk. It was a grin that was so devilish yet so angelic. Like he was taunting Kojiro with everything he wanted, but it was just out of reach. He had to know what he was doing, right? The devil was a fallen angel, wasn’t he? The devil was supposed to be gorgeous and knew just how to taunt and tease his victims.
Even if this man happened to be evil, Kojiro still wanted him. God, he wanted him more than anything.
The man raised an eyebrow and motioned for him to come join him while mouthing, ‘Come here.’
Kojiro’s eyes widened in shock as his heart started beating fast in his chest. No, no, this must be part of his dream. This is exactly how it happened at night. He squeezed his eyes shut for a second, but when he opened them again, the man was still looking at him. Now, his smirk turned into something a little more genuine as he laughed. Of course he was laughing at Kojiro’s dumb ass. He probably looked ridiculous.
When the man stopped laughing, he mouthed, ‘Well? Are you coming or not?’ before diving under the water again.
It was decided. Kojiro was going over. How was he supposed to resist when this was something out of his very dreams?
Kojiro wanted to scramble for his things so that he could rush over, but he wanted to seem calm, cool, and collected through his window. No doubt that the man would watch him again once he resurfaced and broke through the crystalline water. So, he did his best to find and grab his things before leaving his building and navigating towards the roof of the neighboring one.
His nerves felt electric as he made his way over. Kojiro was no rookie when it came to flirting or being charming, but no one has ever made him feel like this. He’s never longed for anyone the way he longed for this man, a man whose name he didn’t even have. He supposed it was only a matter of minutes until he finally found out. Finally.
When Kojiro opened the door to the rooftop pool, the glow of the moon and pool lights illuminated the man right as he emerged from the pool. He slowly and calmly walked up the steps, dripping as he walked towards Kojiro. “Hm, about time,” the man purred. Clearly, he knew just how much he affected Kojiro and was taking full advantage of that to taunt him.
Kojiro knew that whatever he said had to be perfect. These were going to be his first words to the man that didn’t involve taking his order or serving him food. Countless options were running through his mind:
Sorry I kept you waiting.
I’m Kojiro.
I can’t tell you how long I’ve been waiting for something like this.
Nothing seemed right. Gone was the suave, flirty Kojiro that always knew the perfect enchanting quip to say. In his place, stood the Kojiro that could barely even say his own name right now.
He didn’t want too much time to pass between the man speaking and Kojiro replying, so he finally spoke up with, “About time. I could say the same thing.”
That seemed to please the pink-haired man and he raised an eyebrow and smirked. “Is that so?” he asked before laughing. “Ha, sorry, I can’t even act surprised. I know you’ve been patiently waiting, eyes practically boring a hole in my skull as you stare at me.”
Kojiro’s eyes widened and his jaw dropped slightly. Fuck. Has this man really known just how much he has wanted him and how deeply he has tried to repress it?
He laughed again at the look on Kojiro’s face. “Did you think I wouldn’t notice? I’m quite perceptive, really.”
Kojiro swallowed and nodded. “Of course. I’m sure you are.” A second of silence passed between them before Kojiro was brave enough to speak up. “I don’t believe I have your name.”
“Do you need to know it?” he playfully asked, hand teasingly running down Kojiro’s chest.
Kojiro’s breath hitched and he nodded. “I do. I can’t keep referring to you as ‘the man’ in my head.”
The laugh that that pulled out of him seemed honest and genuine. It was a beautiful chortle as he leaned his head back, damp pink hair clinging to his wet skin. “Fair enough. I’m Kaoru.”
Kaoru. Kaoru. It was a beautiful name, truly, and it fit the man before him. “Kaoru,” Kojiro hummed with a small smile. “I’m Kojiro.” Kojiro almost wanted to stick his hand out to shake Kaoru’s, but given their proximity, he figured that they were way past that.
“Hello, Kojiro,” Kaoru purred. “Now, why don’t you tell me why you’re here, Kojiro.”
Kojiro was trying to get back into his usual self, but Kaoru was turning him into a puddle of the man he was. Slowly, but surely, he would get there. “Why don’t you tell me why you lured me over here, Kaoru?”
It seemed like Kaoru was expecting to be immediately obeyed, and he raised an eyebrow when he wasn’t. “Well, I couldn’t spend all night in the pool with you watching me, desperately wishing that you were over here, could I? The least I could do is invite you over. Your turn.”
Was that the sole reason Kaoru invited him over? Kojiro was quickly getting the sense that Kaoru had a facade over his true self. He doubted he would ever get to see the raw and real side of him, but that was okay. He would take this. He would take any form of Kaoru that he could get. How pathetic was it that he was already so whipped for him?
“I’m here because you invited me,” he answered simply.
Kaoru clearly didn’t like that answer and he pulled away, sauntering back towards the pool. “I’m not dumb, Kojiro. Maybe that was the catalyst that finally sent you here, but what’s the real reason you’re here?”
“The real reason?” Just how much did Kaoru value honesty? He was about to find out. “Because you’re the most beautiful man I’ve ever seen in my entire life and every part of my body craves you in some impossible way and I’ve tried resisting you but I can’t anymore.” How was that for the real reason?
Kaoru looked at Kojiro with a surprised yet intrigued face. Clearly, he didn’t expect the real real reason. “You’re unlike anyone I’ve met before,” he replied. “You don’t have to resist me, you know. I’m here. Just swim with me first.”
So why was it that that felt like a lie? There was no way Kojiro didn’t have to resist Kaoru. It was just something about him that yes, he did have to resist. But, given that he had full permission to give in to those desires, he would take it.
After he swam with Kaoru, that was. If that’s what he wanted, that’s what he would get. Kojiro was used to serving with plates of food, but he could serve in some other way.
Kaoru turned around and stepped back into the pool, slowly submerging into the water inch by inch. He must have known how tempting he looked, because he glanced back at Kojiro, a horrid teasing smirk on his face. Oh, this man was just brutal. Beautiful, but brutal.
“Brutiful,” Kojiro accidentally mumbled out loud.
“Excuse me?” Again, Kaoru was clearly confused.
Kojiro mentally cursed, and made sure it stayed inside his head this time, as he cleared his throat and shook his head. “Ah, no, nothing, you know. Keep going in the pool, I’ll be right in.” Kojiro toed off his shoes and set his towel down as quickly as he could.
Kaoru scoffed. Clearly, he was very interested in pressing the “brutiful” case, but decided to leave it be. Kojiro had a feeling it would come back up later.
Finally, Kojiro stepped into the pool. The water was warm, so it did very little to cool his rapidly heating internal temperature. Still, it was nice. Kojiro couldn’t remember the last time he went for a swim, especially not in a pool this nice. How much money did Kaoru have anyway? Kojiro didn’t want to think about it.
“So, you swim here often?” Kojiro asked as he was fully in the pool, water just below his chest.
“Considering you watch me everytime I’m out here, I think you know the answer to that,” Kaoru deadpanned.
“Right. Just… making conversation.”
“We don’t need to talk, you know.”
“Right.” Listen, Kojiro was no stranger to talking with bodies, but he didn’t want to ruin whatever chance he had with this man tonight. Kojiro didn’t know what he’d do if he fucked it up. Luckily, Kaoru actually seemed… receptive to him. He supposed he wanted him over in the first place, right?
Kaoru swam up to Kojiro again, body moving under the water in a perfect stroke, small splashes of water jetting out behind his feet as he dove in. Before Kojiro knew it, Kaoru was right up to him, emerging from the water as their torsos touched. Kaoru was a little shorter than him, he noticed, which made it nice to look down at him. Golden eyes that looked like they were hiding their own flames of desire behind them. Could it be that Kaoru had finally given in to himself tonight? Why would he ever have to hold back?
Kojiro cupped Kaoru’s cheek, delicate as if it was cracked porcelain, like he was scared to break this perfect specimen in front of him. He leaned in to finally kiss him.
Finally.
Kaoru’s lips were rough yet soft, sweet yet salty, and completely indescribable. It was a good thing Kojiro’s mouth was busy so he didn’t have to occupy it with words. Instead, their lips moved together as Kaoru kissed back, and Kojiro felt like he could jump over the moon at any second. This is what he had been waiting for and he wasn’t about to waste this moment. It was perfect.
Yet, you would think that since Kojiro finally got a taste of what he wanted, the fire inside of him would quell, even for just a moment. But instead, it was like Kaoru dumped a bucket full of gasoline on it, and it grew even more, spreading to every corner of Kojiro’s body. Spreading to every corner of the world, because this desire was hardly just contained inside of him anymore.
Kaoru was an incredible kisser, unlike anything Kojiro has felt before. He’s kissed many people, but this was different. This was, by far, the best kiss that Kojiro has ever had the pleasure of being a part of.
Kaoru pulled back, which had Kojiro leaning in after him as he chased his lips. “Kaoru,” he whispered, to which Kaoru replied with a chuckle.
“Oh, don’t worry you horny animal, there’s a lot more where that came from. But isn’t patience a virtue?”
While that was the saying, Kojiro didn’t care for it right now. Kaoru hardly seemed like a patient person anyways. “I don’t see any restraint coming from you,” Kojiro taunted in return.
Kaoru’s eyes widened. It looked like he wasn’t used to someone matching him in their attitude. Kojiro almost regretted it, but instead Kaoru just laughed. “Hm, maybe you’re right. I’m going to judge you regardless. If that makes me a hypocrite, so be it.”
Kojiro wasn’t entirely sure what he expected Kaoru to be like, after watching him for who knows how many hours, but he didn’t know if it was this. That’s not to say he was disappointed, because he really, truly wasn’t. Kaoru was incredible. He far exceeded his expectations. He was a little rude, but Kojiro didn’t mind. Anyone with his looks had the right to be. The world should revolve around him. Kojiro was just happy to be even a small floating meteor in his solar system.
“So, are we swimming, or are you just going to stand there?” Kaoru asked, a hint of sassiness in his voice.
Oh, Kojiro was going to swim.
Kaoru didn’t know how much time they wasted in the water. It was an eternity, yet it wasn’t long enough. It was, for lack of a better word, fun. Kojiro had fun. It’s not like they were playing mermaids like they were kids, but they swam, floated, bodies brushed up against each other, they stole kisses like they were hiding their attraction from the world. Kojiro was all too good at that.
Finally, Kaoru decided he was done in the pool. It was almost funny, seeing the way his fingertips had wrinkled after being submerged for so long. Even a person like Kaoru, perfect, gorgeous, irresistible, had flaws. He was only human.
Kojiro’s were pruned as well. Something else that tied them together, he supposed.
Kojiro followed Kaoru out of the water. They both grabbed a towel and dried off, but as Kaoru took Kojiro’s hand and dragged him off the rooftop and to God knows where, they still left a trail of drips behind them. Kaoru didn’t seem to mind, so Kojiro didn’t either. He was sure they would dry, after all. They didn’t talk much more, save for the body language between them. Still damp bodies pressed against each other, eras of needing and wanting finally no longer needing to be repressed. Kojiro felt completely euphoric.
“Fuck me,” Kaoru demanded. That was all Kojiro needed to hear. He was more than happy to comply with Kaoru’s demands. After all, he’s been wanting this. Wanting it, yet resisting it. He didn’t have the willpower to resist anymore. And why would he? Kaoru was begging him to give in. Not in so many words, but the sentiment still stands.
Kaoru laid on the bed under him, body writhing with every touch from Kojiro. Kojiro made sure to touch him everywhere. He wanted his body committed to his memory, whether he could see him or not. Though, Kojiro didn’t plan on losing his sight anytime soon.
What he did lose was his composure. That’s assuming he had it from the moment he officially met Kaoru on his rooftop. It didn’t seem like Kaoru was entirely composed. Back arching off the mattress as Kojiro thrusted into him, eyes rolling back into his head. Kojiro’s face contorted with pleasure as he fucked Kaoru’s warm, tight hole. It felt absolutely perfect around him. Kaoru felt perfect around him. Not just his hole, but the way his arms and legs wrapped around him, pulling him closer than he ever imagined.
It didn’t take long for Kojiro to finish, so he used his hand to bring Kaoru to orgasm. That was the most beautiful sight he could have ever imagined. His toes curling, nails digging into his back, a loud moan escaping past his lips. As much as Kojiro wanted to hear it, he couldn’t stop himself from capturing Kaoru’s lips in a feverish kiss.
They settled down on Kaoru’s bed together. They weren’t cuddling, but they weren’t far from each other either. Kaoru’s chest continued to rise and fall as he breathed, looking like a picture of perfection. Kojiro was almost worried this was all a dream, but Kaoru’s hands tracing small patterns across his arm kept him grounded. He didn’t know how long this euphoric feeling would last or if he would get the chance to spend time with Kaoru like this again, but he would take whatever he could. Even if it was just ten more minutes. Or five.
